    In one week a gas tank strap broke causing the tank to partially fall out of the car, 3 days later an engine mount broke. Then the week after I sold it , it slipped out of Park rolled down a hill cut a small car in half mowed over a fire hydrant and came to rest in the middle of somebody's front porch .

    Worst car, 1980 Datsun/Nissan 210 2 door notch back (round headlights 79 body). Motor blew up at 70000 miles, replacement engine had issues vaperlock carberator that dealer could never fix, bad brakes, electronic issues and crank windows that got stuck. Doesnt surprise me the sentra on the list with same issues today. Family Friend had a b210 honeybee, that car spent more time at the dealer then at home, clutch, manual transmission issues, carberator issues and rust issues when the car was 2 years old and he bought it new. He traded in on a 79 Chevrolet Malibu Classic that was more reliable and ran better.

    As somone that works in auto repair i can sum this up fast.
    Anything European. Yes that includes Chrysler, Mitsubishi, and Nissan.
    Anything Indian. Mostly, as an American, that means Landrover/Jaguar.
    I would say anything Chinese, but they are so glitchy and unsafe NHTSB wont ok them for being street legal, so dont actually qualify as a "car".

    • @johnkonde1975
      @johnkonde1975 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Just so you know, though Indian carmaker Tata owns Jaguar Landrover Range Rover, they purposely have a hands off approach with making them. This means all Jaguars/Range rovers/Land rovers are still made in England by English people. So you can still call them European. And I agree, European cars are horrible. That's why I stick to Toyota or Honda

    CVT did have their problems early on. But over the last decade not so much. Just don't believe the manufacturers stating no fluid changes because it's a lifetime fluid. BS ! Always change your CVT fluid every 30k miles or so. I am a master mechanic for 45 years and to make any vehicle last comes down to one thing. Maintenance,fluid changes. I personally own a 2011 RAM hemi with 289k miles and a 2012 Subaru Impreza wagon with a CVT. It has 211k miles and no issues whatsoever. My wife has a 2015 Outback with 156k miles , also no issues.

    I am remting a Versa now. A little liw in performance alright. But the big problem I have is drum brakes on the rear. Controversial and a sign of backwards. Plus allegation not repairable. Frum brakes need high precision self adjustets to work. Some years ago Les Schwab tire stire in Burien fixed rrar drum brakes on 1999 Ford Ranger. Self adjusters that they bought new from NAPA didn't we ork and they manual adjust rear (drum) brakes we hen I came in for tire rotation. Another problem is wear on the backing plate where shoes mount. Les Schwab doesnt how to fix that and as a result 1999 ,,,Ranger brakes in rear didn't work right. Plus will the paint and interior of a Versa last as ling as better cars. Maybe not. Inthinkna potential Versa buyer out to look at a kease return Corolla or Civic instead.
