  • The Camry is now in its 9th generation, and has been redesigned to be a hybrid for any trim level. Many of Toyota's vehicles are now only offered as hybrids, so does this improve the Camry's driving dynamics? Join us for a Test Drive. Is there steering feel? Should Toyota make all the things GR?

(Ignoring the entire front end of the car), I like this trend of the Japanese brands really figuring it out by refining interior and exterior styling, and getting rid of gimmicks or full EVs in favor of the hybrids that people have been wanting. Honda putting out that CRV and now Toyota with this release are making Low Level Luxury great again! Love the review, gents. PS: Todd, PLEASE keep the Hulk Hogan look

Hybrid makes so much more sense than a full EV, given today's technology. Insanely good mpg, less polluting, no stress about finding a charging station in time or spending 45 minutes there, and your car won't weigh 5000 pounds.

    • @DerekDavis213

Hybrid is slower than a Camry with V6. Hybrid has much lower horsepower.
Hybrid is more complex, maybe more chance for problems.
Hybrid needs a $4000 battery replacement after 8 to 10 years.

    • @christopher-gardner
      @christopher-gardner 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

@@DerekDavis213 Less power yes but absolutely enough for everyday driving and if you want power and speed then you don't buy a Camry. Toyota Hybrids are known for being some of their most reliable cars you can get and batteries tend to last longer than that usually plus with all the money you save on gas and repairs, even with a battery replacement it's cheaper than a regular car. If you kept each car for 100,000kms the V6 you'd spend about $15,469.94 CAD in fuel vs only $8,499.96 in the Hybrid. That being said I prefer fun to drive gas cars, the GR86 would be my personal choice in a Toyota but Hybrids definitely have their purpose in todays world, I don't see why we can't have variety in what's available.

    • @norwegianblue2017

@@DerekDavis213 Toyota has the hybrid technology dialed in right. I know a guy who still puts 20k+ miles annually on his old-ass Prius and it still runs fine and is on original battery. Believe me, I love a good V6. My current Acura has a 3.5 V6. But it gets crap mileage around town and in commutes. You have to factor that into the cost as well.

EVs are about control and tracking you. EVs are damaging to the environment. Gasoline cars and hybrids are proven.
If emissions are fitted correctly then this will be ok for peoples health especially hybrid engines who produce less emissions.

The design of the new Camry has changed significantly, but I think it's good. However, I think the space in the back seat is a little small.
The 2.5-liter 4-cylinder hybrid uses Toyota's latest generation hybrid system, and I believe it offers powerful driving, excellent fuel efficiency, and environmental performance.

Did you guys get to drive or ride in an LE/SE without the acoustic laminated front windows? I understand the LE has 16” wheels and the SE has 18” wheels, but I was hearing some reviewers talk about the tire noise in the SE with the 18” Continentals and was curious how much quieter the cabin is on the XLE/XSE with the front acoustic laminated windows.

Hi it's fun nice review:) But the AWD model that you drove, is that XSE or XLE. The cover photo of the video looks XLE to me but the description (video title) says XSE. It seems to me that the FWD was XSE, but the AWD was XLE. Maybe that's why the steering felt like that maybe? In case someone makes a purchase decision based on that aspect of the car, I wish you could specify which exact trim it was. Thank you again for making fun videos! The Prius experiments you did were awesome too!

Sorry for any confusion. We drove the XSE trim in both FWD and AWD. A blue FWD and black AWD. Sadly, the closest footage available from Toyota was of the XLE in a teal blue. Especially that the buck is far overvalued, like most currencies in the world, as they are not covered by gold (or other real world value) and almost all governments printed (at least a few times more than needed) money.
If you have money in the bank use it to acquire real assets such as land, houses, gold or even top cars (Japanese, of course).

Remember this is the upper level trim. Base model Camrys will start closer to 28 or 29

I’m sure it drives nice and is super efficient but you just made it expensive to fix when the electric motors fail. You added complexity which was one of the reasons it’s been so reliable, it wasn’t complex. What Toyota should have done was put a b48 motor in it. That will be way more reliable and more fun to drive than all the electric motors and non sense. You are already using bmw engines.

Toyota Hybrids are very reliable. People won’t be worried about that and Toyota has the proven track record.

@@brenttitus2134exactly. I will take a Toyota hybrid or even turbo 4 over those garbage what Ford, Chevy and stalantis offers.

Toyota engines are reliable. EV motors are reliable. Constantly charging/discharging the relatively small battery could be a cause for concern. But, Toyota hybrids are known to be reliable all around. I'd never buy a Stellantis hybrid.

The all new 9th Generation 2025 Toyota Camry is lame, slow, and ugly. Toyota changed the design, dropped Horse Power for the Pony Express. Do not purchase any 9th Gen Camry Hybrids, just not worth it. From a proud owner of an 8th Generation Toyota Camry XSE V6 fully loaded. A fully loaded 2025 Camry XSE Hybrid FWD MSRP of $41,647 with Delivery (basic with no packages or accessories MSRP $34,600 plus Delivery of $1,095 is total $35,695) and my 2023 Camry XSE V6 fully loaded MSRP of $41,305 with Delivery. Why spend more for a Hybrid when the Naturally Aspirated V6 is a thousand times better?
The Toyota Crown is a Clown.
