I haven’t seen or heard of Euphoria but seeing that clip is so brutally real. Depression is often portrayed as extreme sadness, but that’s not just what depression. Depression is numbness, depression is feeling nothing. There’s no hope, no zest, no ambition, no motivation, no presence, no life - it’s honestly just a cycle. A constant low cycle. And it’s hard. It’s so hard.

School isn’t about learning at this point for most teens, it’s about passing. At this point school isn’t there so that we can learn and get successful in life, it’s there so that we can feel like we have something to show and so that we can look at our parents and feel like maybe, just maybe we aren’t a disappointment. Because even if we feel like we accomplished something, we always manage to doubt that it was enough to make them happy. We always manage to find a way to think that they expected more, that they expected better. We know, or, we think, that we can bounce back from an F, a D, or a C. What we don’t know, is if our parents can bounce back from us getting a bad grade. And that’s what scares us the most.

“You don’t know what stress is like until you’re an adult working”
I hate that excuse, school is just as stressful as work, I kept saying that there’s a level to stress and anyone can have it, it’s not just work stress for adults
School stress, teen stress everything has stress. Stress can lead to mental health issues, if a teen breakdown worrying about their essay being not perfect and due in two days, then what is that? Any Adults can argue that we are kids we don’t know what stress is like, sure I may not know what their stress is like but I know what I’m going through and it’s stress.
Kids are growing up and they don’t know what’s going on they don’t know what to do but have this mindset of “if I don’t do good In school I won’t have a perfect life and I’ll become a failure”, they don’t get the chance to have fun or relax
Parents want to blame social media for everything and think making their kids focus on school is the best thing to do when they have an issue.
Your mental health matters too and should focus on yourself when needed.
Edit: bet there will be that one comment who still wants to argue with me telling me I still don’t know what real stress is

The scene in The Breakfast Club is one of my most favourite scenes in a movie. I think it depicts how no matter what our life is when being a teen, you are always struggling. Because you are discovering yourself, because you are at odds with your elders, lost among your peers, under pressure about your future, growing into your body and learning about your sexuality - all of that is making you feel overwhelmed and so lost. It's an amazing scene and an amazing movie that I think all teens should watch.

I have really bad social anxiety, and when teacher told me I had to present in front of the class full of seniors I didn't know (I was a freshman) had a anxiety attack. Teachers should ask students if they have anxiety, or students should willingly tell them. Because forcing a student to get up in front of a bunch of people when dosent always help break them out of their shell, it can be traumatizing sometimes. Things like anxiety and social anxiety won't be fixed because you did a presentation, therapy and or medication can help

it’s also harder when ur parents don’t believe in mental health, and they blame it on ur relationship with god, my parents always told me it’s because i been distant from god that’s why im not happy or mentally stable, also i remember when i was in a rly dark place i had suicidal thoughts and i searched for a suicide hotline in my country i couldn’t find one so in my head at the time i was like that’s a sign i should just do it u know, but thank god i had my friend by me and she talked me out of it, yea we still don’t have a suicide hotline tho

This episode is so real. I love how all the teens were so in touch with their emotions. I wasn’t when I was a teenager. I love all of them and I hope they seek help when the need it.

No one ever talks about how just one toxic relationship can permanently change how you view yourself or your life. Everyone thinks that it’s just common heartbreak, but it really does destroy lives

The saved by the bell clip never struck me as a meme or a joke. Man I was fucking shook as a kid. As an adult I still get emotional and chills, and probably even more in a real way because I can actually comprehend how real of a situation this could be.

That Bojack Horseman clip was taken out of context. In the context the episode this comes from is all about Bojack’s voice that tells all of the negative things and he told her no to comfort her to show his growth through the series and how at the start he was completely negative and the fact he told Holly hawk no shows his caring side
