You knew you were gonna have a good day at school when your teacher wheeled in the TV cart and popped in a VHS tape of either Magic School Bus or Bill Nye.
@ShayTheValiant fr bro I'm telling you 💯 now when you watch movies or sum you gotta take notes 🙄😒
Shout to the 90s kids out there who remember The Lion King and The Jim Carrey classic films.
Elyse is almost dressed as Ms. Frizzle.
lol
Swap those flowers for planets and it'd be perfect.
94 was special for my wife and I. We are celebrating 30 years in a couple of weeks 🎉
I'd like to say CG , but I've been married.
If you and yours are happy then CG.
My sister and her husband just celebrated their 30th anniversary too! On June 11th. High-school sweethearts. Congrats to you & your wife on 30 years of marriage!🎉💞
@@MrJooge100 good for you
Blezerhawkdarren68 good for you
10:41 the craziest thing about the whole Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding ordeal is that it happened on my birthday of all days, and it honestly blows my mind
Shout out to those that mixed Coco Puffs and Peanut Butter Cap'n Crunch before Reeses Puffs existed.
18:34 Kurt Cobains death wasn’t technically the end of a movement. It was the beginning of the end sure for the grunge genre but the final nail in the coffin didn’t come until 1996 when Soundgarden broke up. Common misconception
The fact that Tonya had trouble with her laces on her ice skates honestly sounds like Karma for what she allegedly planned to do, and Nancy made a performance for the ages (I’ll say this she should’ve gotten the gold to cap off the incredible comeback story)
"Ace Ventura wasn't the only comedic that came out in 1994. here are some honorable mentions." proceeds to list Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, and Pulp Fiction as comedies. 🤣
Forrest Gump the greatest line ever I maybe Stupid but I know what love is brings me to tears every time
9:14 There used to be a Rainforest Cafe at the mall I used to work at & they closed it down almost a decade ago & now a furniture store is in its place.
I don’t miss the food but I miss the ambiance of that place.
My wife and I carpooled back then. We had gotten off the freeway and went to a restaurant. While waiting in the bar we watched on TV as a white Bronco slowly drove past the offramp we had just gotten off. Surreal to say the least.
ANGELA REALLY LOOKS LIKE Christopher Lee Kattan
I’ll always miss Funhaus but it’s nice seeing Elyse featured on other channels! 😇
The Lion King came out 23 days after my I was born. I still have the stuff Simba and Nala cub's toys from when they came out after the movie.
Elyse! I was hoping since we got James that we’d see her eventually.
The world needs more exposure to her (preferably in Avatar cosplay or as Colonel Sanders, when she’s at her peak!)
This world straight up needs more Willems'
Based solely on the smell of her cooch pooch, we need less of her Avatar cosplay.
As a Norwegian, I remember Lillehammer'94 as 16 days of pure joy.
Elyse is one of the funniest people on the planet. I loved Funhaus. It was a great to see her again.
ELYSE WILLEMS!! The best Keira Knightley impression the internet has to offer! She also does an AMAZING Kate Winslet from Titanic. iykyk.
solid Celine Dion also
You can't have love actually.
For the record, there is no such thing as non gmo fruits and vegetables today. Here's why, people have been crossbreeding plants pretty much for as long as people have been farming. The resulting crossbreed is a GMO. The difference is with today's technology we can do it much more accurately where as in the old fashion way was basically a toss up as to whether or not it would produce anything viable.
Also unfortunately the technology ones are also more deadly than the naturally modified ones...
Whoa Elyse Williams! First James and now Elyse! Canadian celebs represent!
No menton of The Crow in the movies portion of the video, even though it's getting a remake that NOBODY ASKED FOR and it was recently re-released in theaters, being given a 4K upgrade
Thank You!! You took the words out of my mouth!!
YESSS!!! I freaking love Elyse Willems!!! Best Batman ever spanning 2 channels 👌
I was in high school in 94, and yet I don't feel old
Man, I haven't seen Elyse since the Funhaus days. That was such an awesome surprise!
Forrest Gump is my favorite movie of all time. Had no idea it was 30yrs old
My favorite thing about 1994 is my husband! Celebrating 30 years of marriage next month!
congrats
Try not to feel old as a millennial 😅
Well if you feel old,I'm Ancient😂😂
@@killapicklepiratepanda7373how old are you?
@Qwuxa I'm 46 got a son that's 25
As a Gen X, I'll try.
Literally
Elyse for the win!!! Hope Elyse, James and the rest of the Funhaus crew are doing well after the closure
Elyse and James guested on a Smosh Games episode a week or so ago - it was gloriously silly!
and some of the others are doing Astrogoblin
Bruce and Lawrence are on Brought You This Thing
I was 16 that November in 1994. 😊
I use to like Justin Bieber. Back in 1994 I were into BSB and N'Sync
2:04 "Ace Ventura wasn't the only comedy to come out in 1994. Here are some honorable mentions" None, ZERO, of the five movies you threw up are comedies
I mean it did include The Mask, so 1/5 but The Shawshank Redemption?!?! Pulp Fiction?!?! Comedies?!?!
You should invite more of Elyse on react, she's just too cool
Kurt Cobain had depression. Manic depression. Unfortunately he took drugs with his anti-depressante which is not a good thing. As a person with depression, my psychiatrist always warns me to not take alcohol or drugs (which I don't take), because it will make you literally more depressed to the point that you commit self death.
Or it could be the meds themselves. Manic depression is now known as bipolar disorder, and antidepressants can cause severe mental health issues in people with certain types of bipolar, especially suicidal ideation and attempts. These days, people with those types of bipolar take mood stabilizers like lithium and have more positive results. So in addition to his self medication through drugs and alcohol, he was likely being messed up by the medications he was being prescribed.

React: I have a great idea! Let’s have a producer that was born in 1996 and literally has no clue what she is talking about host a video about things that happened in 1994… 🤯🤦🏻♂️🤬
I am starting to think the producers don't know much about much.
@@Cabaret43 This is a fairly new phenomenon to this channel. Their research used to be much better than it has become. Calling "Shawshank Redemption" a comedy is just wrong and lazy.
@@dennis2966 Can't really blame the producers i suppose...i am sure that they have a research department but the amount of mistakes and misinformation is becoming alarming. Might be my bias as well...i don't like that particular producer at all.
@@dennis2966 Unfortunately, it seems to have happened since Joe Berreta joined and started bringing in his friends. Worse is Candace Carrizales. She was a host on a failed Mythical show, worst host on Sourcefed and now this channel.
Elyse yay!!!!! And also this is the best show for Angela.
I was 11 in 94 so I remember quite a few of these very vividly. Makes sense why all my joints and back hurt so bad 👵🏻
Chris: Let me check the nutritional value [box has nutrition facts facing camera] 🤣
My parents got married 30 years ago this year too
I had to triple take for Elyse!
I turn 30 in September
Magic school bus omg I feel so old 👴 PS1 was crazy I only had a Nintendo ever since so many PS consoles have evolved into so many different shapes and sizes. OJ trial was crazy even though I was barely even born
that steak and shrimp plate at $13.99 is what's really killing me.
all the other stuff just made me feel old and bring back some great memories, but that hit me hard cause now those plates are $28-40 depending on where your dining T_T
Oh gosh… I was a year old. So I don’t remember any of this but I know all of this 😂
Christopher Lee Kattan is Angela big brother
All those 30 yr old movies and no love for The Crow? Y'all suck 😢
In the Haight & Ashbury area of SF during the 60's. Those that rode on the Magic Bus were on Acid. ✌️
They don’t even recognize Nancy Kerrigan and Tonya Harding? Wow, I feel old. 😢
I only recognized Tonya because of her commentary on World's Dumbest Criminals, I was only 8 and had zero interest in figure skating.
"I don't see seatbelts." I don't think school buses even had seatbelts back then. Maybe some states might have required them but mine didn't.
Yeah I had to ride the bus in HS until I got my own car my senior year in 1999. Definitely no seatbelts.
Do they even now?
Graduated HS, moved across the continent, started college in 1994. I remember going to see Lion King in the theater with my HS girlfriend and seeing Pulp Fiction in the theater with a college group. It’s hard to put those two events in the same year in my brain.
Hey Martine, there's a Rainforest Cafe at the Ontario Mills Mall in Ontario, CA...... 😊
Thank you for reminding us that we are old.
I was more nostalgic of seeing Connie Chung than anything else here.
You know what also turned 30? Me!!!!
I was just born in 1994; but I learned almost EVERYTHING cause I was either watching old VHS videos, playing the Playstation and I was so interested
Elyse is here ! Shes hilarious
A great addition
I couldn't believe my eyes. Yay Elyse!
Not wanting to accept that I graduated high school 30 years ago!
For brazilians 1994 is the one of the most memorable year because of the pass away of the most brilliant F1 pilot Ayrton Senna and it was the year that brazilian soccer team won for the forth time the word cup in US.
It was crazy for me with the rainforest Cafe. I remember it opening at the mall, and the commercial that showed was from my childhood mall!
VOLCANOOO! My aunt would always take to the one on the Atlantic City boardwalk
That scene of Ace Ventura is what my math teacher showed us for deductible reasoning.
Also, I turned 12 in '94 and we moved to Kansas... on my birthday.
It would’ve been more interesting to have had older millennials and young gen x’ers react on this episode. We remember all of this more vividly and could’ve given better reactions.
But that's what the people in this are?
21:58 they should have shown the borad james episode
I still have my Tonja Harding slammer to use on my pogs. It had an image of (hand drawn) knee & a club.
I also had a few OJ Simpson slammers - one of which had him in the slammer
Real 90s kid right here 🫡
Hey. Do you guys still sell the Bronco?
No. Sorry. Ford wanted to get away from the whole "fugitive on the run" thing. But here's our new SUV: the Escape!
As a kid born in 1987, the 90s hold so much nostalgia
Me having the same birthdate as the genetically modified tomato is krazy 🍅
I feel old, and I also turn 30 next week.
Happy early birthday!
Happy early bday!
me on monday happy birthday
OJ’s Bronco chase was the day of my high school graduation. That chase took FOREVER!
Will give benefit of the doubt to the producer that she did not know they were going to put shawshank and forrest gump up as comedies!!otherwise WTF
Reese's Puffs cereal is actually on the healthier end of the cereal spectrum.
I was 10 years old in 1994. I was born in December 1983.
I was also 10 years old, being born April 1984
13:32 SHOUTOUT TO THE FRIZZ!!! She had me glued to the tv.
Elise and Angela. Good to see!
They should have given more attention to The Lion King. That was the animated movie of 1994!
Wait... yall did an episode on 1994 and didn't talk about the music?!?! ARE YOU CRAZY?!?! Do yourself a favor and go look at all the albums released that year.
It’s because the producer who did this video was born in 1996… 🤦🏻♂️
I was in middle school when OJ was caught, we watched the "car chase" live on the news, all i remember is everyone making fun of the fact that the Bronco was going like 20 miles an hour😂
Tanya used to practice in the local mall… lots of locals still defend her. Thing was she kept showing up in the news… if I recall correctly the cops were called to the trailer park where she was living because she was beating the heck out of her boyfriend with a hubcap…
Brian & Elyse at the end 😂😂😂... Elyse: It's okay Brian! It's over; it's gone now. Brian: It can't hurt me anymore. 😂😂😂
I did not know Reese’s Puffs are that old. I still occasionally buy them.
Same
Brian's "How DARE you!" look at 14:22. Perfection.
Can they react to Beetlejuice? PLEEEAAAAE!!
Ay that reeses lady is hilarious 😂😂😂 "it's just a tomato!"
Along with Friends turning 30, ER is also turning 30 this year. Everything that was mentioned in the video that is turning 30 this year, is crazy!! LOL.
T-Rex Café, owned by the same company as Rain Forest Café, is WAAAAAAAY COOLEER!!!!
No way Amazon came out 30 years ago
Remember, it started selling only books, so it wasn't anything like the "order anything anytime anywhere" megacorp that it is now.
I was six years old, living in La Palma, CA when the OJ/ White Bronco slow speed chase happened. Brian was not joking about families gathering around the TV to watch that play out.
Funny thing is that, even if he didn’t commit the murders, he still had a track record to put him away for a long time. He was even apart of an ecstasy trafficking ring, countless domestic violence charges, etc. I’m pretty sure he did some money laundering too.
Not having the Reese’s Puffs rap in the video is criminal
The Rainforest Cafe in the MOA was my toddler daughter's favorite restaurant. We ate there every time we went to Camp Snoopy.
ELYSE!!!!!!!
I remember my mom bringing Ace Ventura home on vhs the day it came out, and my brother and I sitting on the floor in front of our 300 pound console TV and laughing our asses off 😂still laughing to this day at such a funny character
Elyse!!
Does the Nancy and Tonya segment inspired the movie I am Tonya??
Yes
I grew up with magic school bus because of my teachers in school always playing episodes of it for learning purposes, and then I just got hooked on it from then on. I think my favorite episode has to be the music one where they go to a haunted castle? I think it was? but anyway, crazy that it's 30 years old now!!
there must be something wrong with me then.. because im not a Jim carrey fan
Jim Carrey had a legendary box office run in 1994!
Always great to see Elyse!
Nas' debut album Illmatic released (arguably the greatest hip hop album of all time) in 1994.
I should be on this list since I turn 30 next month.
5:20"I need nutritional facts," nutritional facts are on the other side of the box 😂
Oh my god I love you guys so much
I was in high school in Canada that year, and she’s right the OJ thing was big here too. I even heard the verdict in drama class. The Nancy Kerrigan & Tonya Harding thing was too, I swear if that one happened during social media days, the memes it would have created would have been hilarious
