i feel like Sam pulled a Parks And Rec with this show, in the sense that he takes the personality of each actor, and kinda writes their characters with their essence, so they're more real and u can see the character and not just a role. either that, or during the casting, he(with the casting and producers) saw the characters in the actors, not just when doing the roles, but actually in their real life treats.
