100% agree with the comment that Tesla MUST include a charging cable with a new car. Beyond ridiculous, and causing a terrible start of a relationship with a new customer!!!!
I purchased my Model3 in Sept 2019 and I didn’t purchase full self driving for a number of reasons
1) because it wasn’t tied to my acc’t therefore having to pay for it again once I traded in my car. Which by the way would encourage me to stay with Tesla and purchase another car and have the FSD on the new car.
2) I felt by the time FSD came out the car would need a new and faster computer to process all the information to have it work properly.
I would buy FSD if it was tied to my account rather than the vehicle.
I think that a lot of people feel this way.
Especially considering that there's no telling what will actually be required for Tesla to receive regulatory approval for unsupervised self-driving. If some bureaucrats decide that it requires additional hardware that can't be retrofitted to existing vehicles, things could get ugly.
That wouldn't account for updates and maintenance. If this software purchase followed other software as a service maintenance plans, then you'd pay 20% for each additional year beyond initial period (say 2-5 years) - would you pay that? Another $2,400 annually after the first, say 5 years?
Hopefully, it will work someday. Its about 5 years late
@@pedrosura it’s not a trivial thing. if it happens at all, it will be astounding. Early enthusiasts are just upset - but hey, Tesla just allowed them to transfer to a new car for nothing. Will this put their complaints to rest?

Robert, why are Tesla TH-cam content creators mysteriously silent on the lack of “Summon” and “Parking Assist”? I’ve owned my 2023 Model Y since November, was promised FSD with the purchase, and these two features never worked. True, I clicked on the agreement that I was taking possession of my Model Y knowing that “SOME” features may not work until SOME future update. But, there hasn’t been any statement promising that those buyers in my same boat will be allowed to try the features when they become available, even if their 3 months of FSD has expired, like mine will be next month. Us new Tesla owners are livid about being dismissed so easily. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this issue. Dave

@@Rasmus1981O It's a good point, but it's probably something to do with money. Maybe those in Europe are cheaper to make than in the States.
It used to be included in the States. My 2018 Model 3 came with the travel charger. I was surprised to see it was an optional add on when looking at the 2024
I notice about 17 seconds in you have a screenshot of what appears to be a Tesla App Store (labeled “App Shop”) that has apps like Audible, McDonalds, Starbucks, etc. can you share about this setup? 0:17
Thanks for another useful video. One thing that Tesla needs to realize, and maybe they do, is that many people, me included, will NOT buy Enhanced Autopilot or FSD solely because it is not tied to their account profile. Transferring to a new car is the bare minimum they should ALWAYS allow, but that suggests that it’s still tied to the car. It should be tied to the account holder’s profile and should be usable in any Tesla they drive, including rentals. It’s fine if it’s only used on one car at a time, but tie it to the owner’s profile. Keep pushing this point, please.

Trying to get rid of model y inventory for new one coming out that they say ain’t coming out.
I agree, we should be able to transfer FSD anytime.
I think adding 3 new colors would help a lot. I like quicksilver, but I think a couple interesting colors like a nice green or something a little out there like a yellow or an orange. Since the juniper will probably not better in every way, no stalks, I think one or two improvements to the existing Y would make a big difference. Add cooled seats or an automatic cover for the ceiling.
Quicksilver should be here by now, come on Tesla. Offer the rear screen swappable kit on top of that to increase current model sales, cooled seats would be awesome too
Ok I ordered the new model 3 LR and I'm going to get recurrent when I get the car but what I don't understand is how can it give battery health updates on my car if there is nothing to plug in 🤔🤔 I'm assuming you provide the Vin but how does the company with a Vin able to track battery health of my car ??? Please and thank you
Recurrent pulls the data directly from the Tesla servers. The cloud knows all.
Correct - they are able to get the data wirelessly from Tesla. It's great!

I lease my tesla m3 so for me a discount in total price or cheaper options, like paint or interior would be a good incentive I guess. Though I still have to drive this m3 for another 4 years.

FSD isn’t going to be solved for Level 4 for some time but it’s still very useful, especially V12.
All Tesla’s get over the air updates so they constantly refresh them. Juniper doesn’t need the refresh in 2024 and refreshes do better if they are staggered a little. (Not as much downtime in any one quarter).
For the model X & S
I’m hoping for a front camera and accurate distance readout. For example the C8 Corvette has two cameras that provide a beautiful wide view image.

On the X five and seven seater a pull down center armrest just like what’s in the S for the middle row seats.

⚡️⚡️⚡️ thanks Great information as usual we are picking up our 2024 long range model Y on Monday evening utilizing all the discounts you mentioned plus finding one in stock at the Dealer saved us another $2,550. So with fedral 7,500. The $1,000 For taking delivery before the end of February and the $1,000 off for our early cyber truck Reservation. And The benefits of using the code, and some state rebates as well, whatever upgrades are coming in 2025 would have to be pretty great at a great price to make up for all we’ve saved to get our model Y now.
One of the things I don’t get about Teslas is devoting 1/3 of the giant screen to monitoring the cars around you. Is that useful when you are driving the car? I’ve test driven a couple of Y’s and I didn’t see the point. I’m used to an instrument cluster in front of me that has certain data and then the screen in the center that has just infotainment. So my carplay screen is big and easy to use.
I wish you could have a split screen like half navigation and half like music or something and I know people say it’s unnecessary but Tesla please please please send an update to include CarPlay.
I find the Tesla car display and surrounding road area very useful, especially when changing lanes I check it to ensure there is no vehicle in my blind spot. I wish it provided more monitoring distance in the rear.
⚡️Definitely include the mobile charger and 3-6 months free super charging. Also offer more colors.
In general, it would be nice if the screen swiveled on all the models and add a shelf under the screen!

My biggest gripe are the cup holders. They’re 2 mm too deep so folks who use little cups will notice.
In early 2021 I considered waiting for a Model Y, so I could get 4680 cells.

Hello Robert, I am one of those super frustrated people who purchased my Y at 67,000 in May 2022 and now, with the decrease, my Y is only worth 30,000. I was not paying attention, and I went to trade my Y in for an X when I found out. Now I am fearful to purchase another Tesla for fear that they will decrease my equity overnight again. Any suggestions as to how I could keep that from happening?
I think it's safe to bet that the major price decreases are behind us. From now on it will only be smaller increments. However, as it is in Teslas stated goal to make affordable cars, you must assume that prices will come down even further in time. It's just how it is with new tech. So just enjoy your car every day and try not to get too hung up on it.

Been driving a 2021 M3 LR AB for 2+ years, and it is a great performance car minus quality of materials. Getting another M3 because it's newly designed is nonsense for me. Juniper or M3 plaid will be the only justification.!

Ok here is my story :)) I bought a new long range model Y in inventory ( 0 miles) at 44k last few weeks, now tesla offer 1000$ discount, I went to inventory again and the lowest one is 45,500$ with 1000 miles :)) ... WTF ... the one 0 miles goes up to 46,000. So it's more expensive than when I bought without 1000$ discount :))
As a potential new Tesla owner, with range anxiety being one of my biggest concerns, I would rather they offer free supercharging for a given period of time rather than the 3 months of free full self driving. Given that full self driving still "really" isn't self driving, I doubt that many people that use it for 3 months are actually going to plop down an additional $12k. However, getting people more comfortable with life driving an EV, using superchargers when necessary, would be a better carrot to attract new customers. ⚡

⚡I'm retired and decided to sell my 17 chevy colorado for 24K a year ago and invest the money to buy an ev. Tesla and Nvidia stock have been good to me and I now have 31K. Thought I wanted an equinox ev but now they start at 35K, are delayed, and GM's software apparently sucks based on new Blazer. Thinking I'll wait for the Juniper MY now but damn another year? If the M3 gets the rebate back soon I'll jump on it but I'm not hopeful. Man I'm tired of borrowing my wife's car.

😣⚡️I wish Tesla would offer more price discounts as more free supercharging would clog superchargers. I’m trying to buy my first Tesla but they are not making it easy. They changed the price and told me to order a second one when I accidentally ordered the wrong one then they would not refund to me the first$250. The second car was suppose to be $2,500 cheaper but the kept the price of the first car on the paperwork and only responded with” that is just the way we do things. They think that the price was the same for the second x at, but it was not.

If you have ever been to China, you will know that the EV market is highly competitive, and they are more affordable, with more bells and whistles attached the cars at a lower price, compared to Tesla. The only reason why they would have introduced the RGB lighting to the Y, is so that they remain slightly competitive compared to their heavy competition and have some features other brands already include in their cars.
Tesla compared to other brands in China, are simply too plain for the Chinese customers to buy: they want more features/the full package for less money and they are getting them.
The red light countdown isn't something that Tesla invented, they are merely replicating what happens IRL: there is already countdown on their traffic lights. Nothing groundbreaking there, and unless this is something that occurs in the US, it won't be inteoduced anywhere else. Same with the mapping tech.
⚡️ I think Tesla should make it easier to get out of a lease Tesla. They have no option to sell. The early termination is a really high amount. 6 months left they want $11k to terminate and get another Tesla. That’s not fair I am a life long Tesla lover why don’t they try to keep me happy?

There already exists technology capable of completely taking over the flying of commercial aircraft from runway to runway and has been for many years. The analogy is not complete with driverless cars, However, they all still require human pilots not least because the passengers would not feel in any way safe without another human being taking full responsibility for their own safety and that of their own passengers. However advanced, universally applied, tried, and tested this technology now is, it still goes wrong and is incapable of dealing with many situations that require the pilot or 1st officer to urgently intervene.
The reason for this is not so much the safety of the people as no one really cares about human beings the reason is that commercial aircraft are very expensive and the owners would very much prefer that they do not crash or become damaged in any way. Driverless cars on the other hand indeed all cars make a fortune for governments, are insured by their private owners, only hold a few passengers which can be easily replaced by a few more illegal immigrants, and cost a tiny amount compared to commercial aircraft. Therefore safe or not, we should not expect the banks or their corporations and governments to care in the slightest if driverless cars kill far more people than cancer every year. Indeed government regards the early death of particularly the middle-aged as a wonderful thing as it saves them masses in pension and health care costs. Surely this is OBVIOUS to anyone with eyes to see, ears to hear, and a brain capable of critical thinking?
If governments or the people in power ever gave a crap about the peasant classes, which is all of us, this world would be unrecognizable and our history 100% different from what it is. We are all just farm animals or livestock temporarily existing on our owner's farm until it is time for us to be herded into the slaughterhouse. Sometimes they hand to us some strangely smelling soap, other times they don't bother even with this little nicety. Nowadays they have so many nasty and far nastier ways to profitably cull their livestock that the list is almost endless.
A system that seems fully keen on costing a small company many thousands to prevent one of its employees from being slightly offended or horror of horrors breaking a fingernail on the office printer is quite content to allow EV trucks and cars onto our roads using massive taxpayer funded subsidies? We have health and safety everywhere where we don't need it, but they allow potential incendiary devices that give off toxic chemicals into the atmosphere at breathtaking rates ( pun intended ) onto our domestic roads and worse still within our tunnels and on our ships? Just to show what they really think of us and how much they value our lives their excuse is saving a few dozen polar bears from an occasional inconvenience?
How valued by your own society have YOU been feeling lately? If not in the slightest, is your answer then remember this. Nothing has changed you never did have any value whatsoever to the people who run your tiny world and you never will unless you insist on being valued. You are currently being lined up at the door whether you know it or not, so I suggest that you wake up now as it is not quite too late to do something about it. Indeed it has never been a better time to do a lot about it, which is why our Owners have been so busy lately.
