    Dear Refika, I made this. Followed your instructions step by step. After adding the yoghurt I must say that I doubted you. It looked like a gooey gloopy mess. Kept going, what else could I do at that point? I shall never, EVER, doubt you again!! It turned out fantastic! Easily the best thing that’s come out of my oven. Period. Thank you so much and i wish you, Bahar and the whole team a wonderful 2021.

    The best part of this video was the Nazim Hikmet poem. The bread looks delicious, but I used to live in Kadikoy near the Nazim Hikmet Kultur Merkezi and the poem took me back to drinking cay with friends there. Your videos always make me “homesick” for Kadikoy (I’m not Turkish, but I felt at home there). Thanks for sharing your recipes, the images of Istanbul, and Turkish culture in general. ❤️

    Hi! Cypriot here. Thank you for being so respectful to our cuisine. People make this with just halloumi ('hellimli'), just olives ('zeytinli') or both like you did. When we use both, we call it Bulla. Cypriot food is so delicious! Thank you for sharing it with others.

    • @ozbilege123
      @ozbilege123 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @styletube excuse me, but, halloumi is a Cypriot product. We have been in Cyprus for CENTURIES, so I have all the right in the world to call myself Cypriot :) I hope you have a good evening. I love Turkey, all I want is some respect for my own culture!

    • @kazimolgu1535
      @kazimolgu1535 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      You should get your facts straight. Cyprus has a history that pre-dates the Ottomans by hundreds of years. There is no Turkish or Greek Cyprus. Cyprus belongs to Cypriots.

      @UCMxiX_6HaYkhu478B8TTNxQ By the looks of your English skills I can see that you are a highly educated person. It is my culture and my history I have been studying it for years and if you are so ignorant to the fact that Cyprus has a history far beyond the Turks you belong with the wildlife of the Karpasia peninsula.

    This is the first video I’ve seen of you and I smiled and laughed through the whole thing. This recipe looks fabulous. I can almost smell it through the screen. ❤

    * nun nun nun nun nun * Love the way the olive oil bubbles in the oven. Looks absolutely delicious. The crunch sounds makes my mouth water. Pavlovian response... Can't help myself.
