I’m moving back after 15 or so years. I’m moving in with my sister because my mom has dementia and I need help. She’s at 59th Avenue & Greenway. From what I remember, that area is okay.
Glad that you get the chance to move back, hope it's a smooth move! So sorry to hear about your mom and hope you and your family are all doing ok, we are dealing with the same thing with my grandmother and I know it can be really challenging at times. 💖 Yeah that area is pretty good and with all the growth and everything from Westgate there is lots of building and new stuff around there too.
Thanks so much, really appreciate that! Glad the info is helpful and if you ever have any questions about making the move here reach out to our team any time! 😊
I grew up in Glendale, AZ. My family and I moved out of Arizona about 14 years ago. Thinking about moving back as an adult now. This was very insightful, thanks!
Yeah there are parts of Glendale that will be a better fit than others. The best way to know which part is a good fit for you is to come check it out and explore the areas to see what you think. :)
Thanks so much! That’s awesome that you will be moving to the area soon! What job field are you in? Gilbert is a gorgeous area and in high demand because it offers so much! Feel free to go check out the videos we’ve done on Gilbert and if you have any questions or want help making the move out here just reach out! 😄
Me too! Scottsdale is for sure my favorite part of town and getting to live in Oldtown Scottsdale for a couple years was so much fun! Loved getting to walk to all my favorites stores and coffee shops and hangout around the waterfront canal area! 😍 So many great places to check out there! Hopefully I'll get to move back some day in my dreams too lol!
There are some great communities that would be a great fit for what you are looking for in Chandler, Buckeye, and Sun City. If you'd like help finding some good options or checking out the communities let me know! 😊
That's awesome, welcome to Glendale! Sounds like you'll be close to the Arrowhead Mall and Town Center. Great area and tons to do! Here are some great ones in the area! Glendale AZ has small pockets of nice neighborhoods surrounded by a majority of lesser, “cookie cutter” neighborhoods consisting of daily crime ranging from assault to gun violence. My wife has the citizen app and is constantly monitoring the crime rate for the Glendale area we live in, this is NOT unjustified statements I am making. I encourage the CRIME RATE of Glendale to be individually reviewed by anyone looking to move here. If you drive down one of the main roads of Glendale, “W. Glendale Ave.”, coming from either side, you will travel from “nice” to “ghetto” FAST, or vice versa. I’m not saying it’s the reason(but highly believe it might be), but PERHAPS the reason businesses close early in Glendale is because of the VAST HOMELESS POPULATION thriving in the areas that you WILL SEE on your trips throughout Glendale. I believe this was a KEY POINT that people NEED TO KNOW about before making the choice to move to AZ, especially Glendale. In Glendale and most areas of Phoenix, you will encounter some form of homelessness that may or may not interrupt your daily flow, whether you’re going to get groceries or fill up your gas tank. Nick Johnson’s review of AZ is deadly-accurate. (His entire playlist)
True, as with any city there a pockets of areas with different crime rates and always be aware and safe no matter what city you are in. It's a good idea to trust but verify and always do additional research. There are lots of great resources like Citizen app you mentioned or sites like communitycrimemap.com/ to check crime stats and area.
Thanks. Moving out of the San Bernardino area looking at Arizona but do not want a repeat. Everyone is just so sick of the meth, homeless , burglaries and everything stolen. It's no way to live. So again thanks for the heads up
You're so welcome! Thanks for checking out the video and glad it helped! 🤗 Yeah it is way different than cost of living for New York, but the money goes to different things. For example homes and rent are way more expensive in New York, but transportation is probably cheaper since it's mostly subway and public transportation. While Arizona home prices and rent are less, the transportation prices are definitely high than New York since things are so spread out here and having a car is almost needed since public transportation here isn't the best. Have you ever had the chance to visit Arizona? 😄🌵
O wow I see what You mean it’s definable expensive here in Ny, and no I haven’t been to Arizona, during my travel journey Arizona will be on my list, and good places ?
@@Robjohnnetwork There are so many great places to visit is Arizona! Definitely check out Scottsdale for all the beautiful areas, shopping, dining, and events. @@LIVING_IN_ARIZONA when I think of Arizona i automatically think of Phoenix, all the other places You’ve mentioned are new to me, il have to check it out, hopefully later I can transition to a different place like Arizona, only if I could bare the heat , yo when I seen people driving with mitts on the steering wheel because of the heat, I’m like okay it must be real ahaha 🤣

I wouldn't move any where near or in Glendale (Unless you have the money to move up north near the 101/303 freeway areas). It has turned into the worse city. Worse than AJ. Any native of AZ knows how bad AJ was. It's better now, and Glendale I think has taken that spot. Now the problems that where/still in Glendale are moving west to Tolleson, Avondale, Goodyear, Buckeye, Litchfield.
@@LIVING_IN_ARIZONA yep big time. Growing up here and living in different areas around phx metro it has changed a ton. I still can't believe how much is different around the valley especially Westgate area. All those fields and such and now it's stadium and houses all over the place around there. Just crazy. Use to walk to the egg farm to buy eggs lol.
@@LegendaryOldwarrior I know right?! Lived here my whole life too and so crazy to see all these areas that used to be farms and fields all built up with homes and apartments everywhere. So crazy how fast things have changed here!
@@LIVING_IN_ARIZONA right! It's crazy lol. I still remember talking in elementary school saying how Phoenix and Tucson might be connected one day. It's not but damn they are trying with all these houses going farther and farther out 😆😂😆.
