Excellent info with good attention to detail. Small note re the cleaning rod. From what I’ve seen the straight (non T handled) rods with just some knurling at the end are 8/32 thread pitch vs the T handle USGI type which is 8/36 thread pitch for brushes, patch holders etc. Excellent video!
This is a holy grail for me however at the current price I might be able to find an original LE901 for a little bit more its a hard call. Might just pick this one up since its new production.
Interesting that the serial number falls into the range of the CM762's offered back in 2019. I'm wondering if they are assembling the current guns with older receiver sets that they had left over. There are LE901SE/AR901/CM65 guns into the 10xxx serials over the past few years. The higher 10xxx serials even have a QRD near the safety selector.
There is only a couple of CK901's in civilian hands in the U.S. I do not own one of them. I saw one on Gun Broker that went for 10k. As an old retired Army guy, I will never be able to afford that unfortunately.
🇨🇦💂do not use those bronze/copper bore brushes on your nicely chromed chambers & bores! It'll ruin the chrome lining. Instead use chemical powder solvent like break free or similar & a cloth patch.💂👍
is this upper interchangeable like the CM 901 via an adapter block or is this yet another one of Colt's Too little, Too late, for FAR too much money overpriced spotty QC hunk of junk like their M4's have become?
The CM762-16S can use the same 5.56mm upper receiver conversion kit that was used with the LE901/CM901/AR901. I have bought several Colt carbines over the last year. I have had any issues with what I have bought so far. Your mileage may vary. Thanks for stopping by.
Tell us about your negative experience with the CM762? Did you buy a new production one from this year? What did a Daniel Defense .308 WIN do for you that the CM762 didn't?
@@calebclark6739 Ok. Why is it better? What did you not like about your Colt CM762 components? When you had them side-by-side, what were the differences?
I'm glad to see they are offering it again!
I agree. A long overdue "reintroduction" of a .308 WIN /7.62x51mm AR platform in the Colt product line.
I'm about to purchase one of these and am so happy to see your review. Thank you for posting this and now I'm super excited to get mine!
Thank you for stopping by. I will be adding another video soon.
Amazing Looking Rifle and Good For Colt For Making it Available 😊😀👍🏼
Pretty excited about this. I’ve always wanted a CM901 style colt but was too busy being a a teenager when those were being sold like a decade back

Thank you for the positive words! I will check the cleaning rod for the knurling that you mentioned. Thanks for contributing to the conversation.

This side arms got my attention. Everybody needs at least one 308.
Thanks for stopping by.
A beautiful rifle I'm jealous😊
Thank you! You can get one too!
Im here brother! I was about to head out to go run when the notification popped up lol.
Thanks for stopping by! We are too old for that running stuff! 😂

I need to look at my other two serial numbers and see what they are.
I hope they will offer a quad rail. 🤣🤣It looks like a nice rifle.
Does a le901 upper fit this lower?
Yes it will.
Any plans for the CK901?

Thanks for the review! I look forward to a range report! Do you know if Colt is releasing them in 6.5 Creedmoor again?
Thanks for stopping by!
Does the 13" come as a pistol?? I haven't seen anything on the 13".
No sir. The 13" comes as an SBR and requires NFA processing.
Ordered mine! 😬😬
Awesome! Congratulations! Let me know what you think of it after you get it.
@@thecoltar15resource i will! Super excited I LOVE colt and can't wait to get my hands on it!
@@thecoltar15resource came sooner than expected!! Honestly I'm very impressed so far out of the box! See how she does at the range!
@@Triple6Tactical Congratulations! I'm glad to hear that you got one.
Plz field strip it in part 2 if possible.
I will field strip it in the next video.
And one for the AlGoreRhythym! Of course! 💪 🤙 🇺🇸
Thank you sir! I appreciate the support.
Barrel profile,twist, markings?
I will cover all of that in my next video. The barrel marking location is very interesting.

I thought all the civilian ar 10 and 15 are a mismatch of third party parts?
For the price, the Daniel Defense is a much better rifle.

Daniel has a better lower, better barrel, adjustable gas block for the same price.

Watch MAC review of the M5. Colt puts out junk nowadays
@@calebclark6739 Oh, Mac said so that makes it gospel. Lol. Ok. We can agree to disagree.
