McBlaggart It’s also really technically impressive. I’ve practiced mapmaking for HL2 for a year or two a while back, and I still don’t know how to 100% have the soldiers rappel down from the helicopter so cleanly. I’d assume he had the soldiers spawn and immediately rappel down from a predetermined area that the helicopter would stop at(the camera angle also helps out a lot), but then he would also have to make the wires a seperate entity that breaks from the soldiers and sways around the moment they hit the ground. Not to mention he’d need to have the helicopter aim, but not shoot, at something to not have it spin around in place. That scene alone must have taken hours to set up.
It just doesn't seem lore-friendly. People are fed MREs from soulless food dispensers and given water with amnesia chemicals. City 17's 1984 style dystopia wouldn't most likely have donut shops for anyone.

IIRC CPs that fail to complete important directives are turned into Stalkers alongside their squad and their families are killed/shipped offworld, so Mike would likely be more focused with either taking down Freeman or coming up with an excellent excuse for failing to accomplish the previous option.
