Here are the ten largest majorities in Canadian history.
    #10: John A. Macdonald’s Conservatives in 1882 (139 Government, 67 Opposition, majority of 67).
    #9: Alexander Mackenzie’s Liberals in 1874 (138 Government, 68 Opposition, majority of 70).
    #8: Robert Borden’s Union Coalition in 1917 (153 Government, 82 Opposition, majority of 71).
    #7: Louis St-Laurent’s Liberals in 1953 (171 Government, 94 Opposition, majority of 77).
    #6: John A. Macdonald’s Conservatives in 1878 (142 Government, 64 Opposition, majority of 78).
    #5: Mackenzie King’s Liberals in 1935 (173 Government, 72 Opposition, majority of 101).
    #4: Mackenzie King’s Liberals in 1940 (181 Government, 64 Opposition, majority of 117).
    #3: Louis St-Laurent’s Liberals in 1949 (193 Government, 69 Opposition, majority of 124).
    #2: Brian Mulroney’s Progressive Conservatives in 1984 (211 Government, 71 Opposition, majority of 140).
    #1: John Diefenbaker’s Progressive Conservatives in 1958 (208 Government, 57 Opposition, majority of 151).
Poilievre needs the following seat counts to match and/ or pass the ten largest majorities:
205 seats (majority of 67): Tied for #10, matching Macdonald (1882).
    206 seats (majority of 69): #10, surpassing Macdonald (1882).
207 seats (majority of 71): Tied for #8, matching Borden (1917) and surpassing Mackenzie (1874).
    208 seats (majority of 73): #8, surpassing Borden (1917).
    210 seats (majority of 77): Tied for #7, marching St-Laurent (1953).
211 seats (majority of 79): #6, surpassing St-Laurent (1953) and Macdonald (1878). This will also tie him with Mulroney’s largest caucus in history.
222 seats (majority of 101): Tied for #5, matching King (1935).
    223 seats (majority of 103): #5, surpassing King (1935).
230 seats (majority of 117): Tied for #4, matching King (1940).
    231 seats (majority of 119): #4, surpassing King (1940).
    234 seats (majority of 125): #3, surpassing St-Laurent (1949).
    242 seats (majority of 141): #2, surpassing Mulroney (1984).
247 seats (majority of 151): Tied for #1, matching Diefenbaker (1958).
    248 seats (majority of 153): #1, surpassing Diefenbaker (1958).

Here's what these polls should ask Canadians instead, just bluntly ask if they want an election and see how many will actually want one, those nay Sayers might be surprised at the answer

There is a far greater risk of Alberta leaving than QC. The contributions from Albertans is significantly greater than QC. PQ has one goal and that is to get gain for QC and QC only. Albertans on the other hand contribute to transfer payments like no other province. When Alberta leaves there will be a huge hole.

For the life of me, I can not understand why anyone would vote Liberal or NDP in the next election. Just listen to them. Look at their actions. I've been following parliament for many years now and I don't get how anyone would or could vote anything but Conservative.

Traditionally, Ontario leadership is usually the opposite party of Federal leadership. The upcoming election will be PC/PC, so it will be interesting to see how Ontario reacts in 2026 General Election. Will they stay PC, or will they revert to form?

So many Canadians would immediatly move to the US to warmer states if we became the 51st state! Puerto Rico or Texas!! We would have the First and Second Amendments too! Anyone who thinks Canada will always remain like the current map show doesn't know history. OF COURSE our political map will change greatly in the future!
