I don't think Douglas has to worry about people missing the significance of the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral. The fire was on the front page of every newspaper in the world, and on every TV screen. People understood perfectly well that a central part of the west's cultural heritage was at risk, and were stunned. What I've seen of the restoration is magnificent; but then, nobody got to work on it who wasn't one of the world's finest experts in his field.

I don't think Douglas has to worry about people missing the significance of the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral. The fire was on the front page of every newspaper in the world, and on every TV screen. People understood perfectly well that a central part of the west's cultural heritage was at risk, and were stunned. What I've seen of the restoration is magnificent; but then, nobody got to work on it who wasn't one of the world's finest experts in his field.
