435 Yard Crow In The Frost and Snow

- Hi every one this is just one shot i took in December 2020 on a cracking crisp morning, here in the UK Crows and Magpies can cause devastating damage to the rare nesting birds we have on our moors for example Curlews, lapwings meadow pipits and many many more, they also predate on the song bird population ,also around lambing time the crows will peck out the eyes of the newborn lambs while they are vulnerable just after birth and even at times while the Ewe is giving birth crows will peck out the eyes and tongues of a lamb, so as a pest controller our laws let us control them all year round, here i am using a center fire rifle as the crows and magpies can wise up avoiding traps and keeping out of range of the shotgun at times cheers

400m bullseye on a crow with 41" of bullet drop - what an amazing shot. Just awesome marksmanship, thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot pal.
Brilliant, fantastic editing and cinematography, and also your dedication for just 1 shot. Much enjoyed
Thanks a lot mate
Great shot Simon ! Such a clean kill over that distance! Thats got to be one for the best shots compilation! Dramatic scenery with the snow too!
Ye thanks a lot David i suppose the snow does make it more interesting for some reason
Just brilliant!!.....ticks all the boxes for a great hunting vid.....build up to the shot, quarry, awesome shooting, amazing scenery....the list could go on. Thank you as always for sharing.
Thanks a lot Geoff hope your still keeping safe the weather has been shocking here but that day was brilliant my friend...
Forget Netflix, the quality of your filming , editing and shooting are very satisfying to watch, as someone who is a city boy and no access to land I’m jealous out , thanks mick in Ireland 👍
Thanks a lot Mick i do try my best
Simon, your efforts to reduce corvid numbers and the seasonal predation of wader nests is to be commended. Sadly the bird "conservation " society is nowadays an organisation run by the AAs ie Activists and Accountants. rspb RIP. ...amen.
Thanks William well ye who knows how it will all turn out.
I saw 435 foot crow and I was down! That was a 41 inch drop, followed by a 30 foot drop! Well done sir.
Thanks Roy.

@@simon6ppc246 Hangin' in there. Just waitin' to see how hard this new administration is gonna go after our guns. The rumblings so far are NOT good.
Brilliant shot.
Thanks Wat.
Great to watch. Keep them coming.
Thanks, will do!
That's great shooting Simon , I can hit extra strong mints at the bottom of my garden with my air rifle, but this is on a different level 🙂
Lol thanks a lot Marty
Try threading a POLO, now THAT would be an achievement.
Hi, Simon. Wow, that was a great shot. I believe it is the farthest shot I have seen on a pest. Some of the ground squirrels or hogs have been almost as long, but not as long. and crow is a smaller target as well. Well done. Very well done. Thanks for sharing! Stay healthy!
Thanks John.
Good shooting, and that vapor trail was cool!!!
Thanks Steve.

Ye cheers Bunny, i was actually waiting for a fox but he didn't show but a crow is still on the menu when all else fails...
a very clean dispatch, well done
Many thanks Mark !
@@simon6ppc246 I had no idea that crow was a an issue for lambs and other wildlife. My first thought was that perhaps you were over-gunned for the task, but considering the distance and the efficiency of the kill, you choice makes good sense. Your marksmanship is impressive. Obviously, you've put in the hours.
Great shot
Thanks Darrel..
Cracking shot Simon!

Boy.....this bloke must hate crows. He walks a mile through the snow and the cold.....shoots a crow,....then turns around and walks another mile back through the snow and cold. Now.....that's dedication !

This is the 2nd video of yours I've seen and I'm blown away again, much like that crow! You must know that scope inside out, incredible. I did wonder where Jack dog was though? 🐕
Thanks Pal , ye that day was a long walk in the cold and although Jack could do it at his age its not just wise to be honest.👍

What a beautiful landscape. Looks like you can fall off the edge. I'm enjoying your videos very much. Always liked skill at hitting a target, everything from darts to crazy golf or throwing rubbish in a bin. You have to practise your skill, never know when it's needed. Kind regards ian x

Crap Mate. I just saw this video from 3 mos ago. I love hunting in the snow and I love the shot... now that's dedication to the job at hand. 😄
Thanks pal
Nice shooting mate where the dog was it to cold for him keep up the good work cheers
Thanks Kevin , not to cold pal he just struggles walking far some days.
1/4 mile shot...amazing! I killed a nice buck in N. Idaho years ago at that distance which was a great shot. Only difference is, my buck was a 300 times bigger target! So much to consider here that most people don't think about. Altitude, air density, temperature, wind, am I shooting uphill, downhill, level, where is this bullet going after the target? Then you have to be calm, not be shaking from the cold....and you did this great video editing on top of all that. Great work! Thank you!
Thanks Andrew
