Cracking shooting, my friend. Good to see you protecting the lambs and local birds. Also glad to see your old boy doing better, here's to him accompanying you for many years to come. Cheers mate!
To anyone who is thinking of taking up pest control watch this man. Total respect for countryside and his quarry, enjoyable viewing the correct way, all the best simon and jack
Simon , as I've said before , you have the best pesting videos on youtube !!! The protection videos are my favorite especially because you have your best mate in them .
Thanks a lot pal much appreciated just the footage is harder to get with the crows as they are not always about and will be a lot wiser now the next time i go..
I knew it was going to be a good video, within a few seconds, as the star of the show was there, yes Simon it's not you, but Jack, and just as you sent him off to get that crow, I thought he's moving nicely, then you explained about his treatment, it's working really well, can't wait for the next one, keep up the good work Simon 😎
Thanks, Simon. Again, great shooting and filming . . . and any video with Jack is even more enjoyable. You two are dynomite together! Another commenter mentioned the additional birds being nice icing on the cake, and I agree. And your love and appreciation for the rare birds speaks very well for you.
It was wonderful seeing the two of you working together again. Jack clearly loves being out on the hunt with you, his tail never fails to wag! Great shooting, great video.
Good to see you n Jack again Simon. Your sight picture steadiness is something to behold. Jack does seem a bit more spunky!!! Keep shooting, I'll keep watching. Both you n Jack be blessed.
Love your videos, thank you ! My 13 year old Rottweiler changed overnight for the better with an injection of Librela. She walked slowly with sore joints before and was on her two back legs wanting her food a few days later. Night and Day result.
Another superb quality vid and always great to see the star of the show Jack making an appearance.....it's so good to hear that he's doing well on the meds. Nothing better than being out with the rifle and even if the trigger doesn't get pulled it's about experiencing and appreciating what Mother Nature has offer. Best wishes mate and thank you as always for sharing.
Excellent marksmanship,as always Simon. The hardscaper in me loves those old stone walls. Glad to see your mate out with ya today. And I look forward to your next vid.
Great video my friend, great job protecting indigenous birds, I wish other people can understand why pest control is necessary to protect our birds, and animals.
Ye pal every thing has a right to live but we should also be able to protect what we own or control pests but having the right balance and not just kill for fun..
I could watch your videos all day Simon, just the little things make them special like at 3:52 and 5:28 when you caught the brass with one hand then very gently plonked it in the box, classic Simon. Also love your friendship with Jack.
Thank you Alan, i am no fancy film editing success but what you see it what you get and exactly what i get up to, but i do try and to be fair for some reason this video has been really viewed lol

Great shooting, bought one of those Tactacams,no matter what I do I can't seem to get anything only a partial picture,ie not a complete circular picture as in your vids, any suggestions?
Thanks pal, what you have to do it get the right shim then shove the Tactacam right up to the scope as tight as you can and tighten it up tight and that should do it as mine at the start was just the same 👍
Thanks for uploading, and also thanks for including the other non pest birds too. As a town mouse I don't get to see these other types of bird and it's interesting to see and hear them. Thank you!
That post shot was excellent to see. And as for(Jack) giving you a second wash of the day and licking his lips, was priceless. You make a video, a joy to view, thank you.
Nicely done! Yes, for sure Jack is moving better! I give my 5 yr yellow lab something called movoflex joint supplements and will for life. WE gave out puggle a supplement called dasuquin and it had a dramatic positive affect on her arthritis. Good to see you back!

Definitely see an improvement in Jack’s movement, he’s looking good! I’m curious to know what powder you use? I’m working on loads for my Ruger .204, which is a similar case size to the .223.

Plenty of life still in that old boy long may it continue. Great video, don't see many lapwings about anymore they were all over when I was a kid miss them calling this time of year and watching them chase the magies off.
Thanks Malc, ye this year ya know its been brilliant with the lapwings and we have loads of oyster catchers for some reason and obviously the curlews but ye its been brilliant to see them all dong their thing..
About 20 years ago I moved into a quiet residential neighborhood, soon learned it had a crow problem. I have a cheep 22cal break barrel air rifle. In the backyard of the house across the street is a large oak tree 80 feet or so high. It (was) common to see a flock of crows there. It's about 77/80 yards from my shooting position, right at the effective maximum range of my cheep gun. Maybe twice a month I'd pick one off out of that tree, the rest would take flight circle around for several minutes making a huge racket, even my numerous misses would stir them up and make them take flight. After 4 or five months of this I was seeing less and less of them. Now I never see flocks of them but an occasional individual will show up once in a while in my yard or telephone pole or wire. If I can, without being obvious I'll pick those off too. Crows are smart, they do learn, My area is nearly crow free for 15 plus years.
Good video Simon, great to see you on camera a bit more and the narration worked well 👍 some good footage as always. You wanna get yourself a drone with that lovely landscape - it would make some cracking footage!
Really enjoyed this video Simon seeing the countryside and enjoying your top marksmanship and your beautiful lab Jack. Living in Oz as I do now I really miss my shooting in the Kent countryside. Lovely rifle always loved the Sako’s. Thanks for making this, Subbed. All the best Max.

Are you loading with the 40gr Hornady Vmax? We use them a lot in SW Idaho on ground squirrels, locally known as squeaks, or whistle pigs, because of the high pitched sounds they make communicating with each other. In my .223 chambered rifles 26 grains of H335 seems to work very well.
That day David i was using 50 Vmax doing 3440 ftps loaded with 24 grains of vit 133, when i test them they shoot half inch at 200 yards and explode on impact so a top varmint bullet..
Great shooting! I really like the KISS priciple with the duplex reticle. I have the exact same rifle ( well almost, Sako 75 VLSS 223 ) and scope. The factory barrel lasted app 12000 rounds with 50-55gr bullets. I'm now on barrel nr. 3.
Thanks pal ye this has had around may be 5000 down it now possibly more but still shoots and my Sako 6ppc has had well over 10.000 and still shoots .3 of an inch...
Great Video Simon, Good to see you and Jack back at it. He is running about lovely, you wouldn't think he has arthritis. Cracking shot with the pumpkin, that was a good distance away...🙂👍🏻👍🏻
Some nice shooting as usual with your sako 223 .I use a tikka 223 for long range vermin control myself ,nice to see those crows getting what they deserve .
Back in 2007 when my Duke(black lab)had a bad limp the vet gave me some new arthritis pills to give him and they worked wonders, he was able to run and play a lot better. It was dreadful follow-up visit with x-rays told the truth, bone cancer in his left shoulder and down his spine, I'll never forget my Duke😔 Love seeing Jack by your side Simon, he is so well trained. I've been waiting on some nuisance bird shooting 👍👍Great shoot'n my friend!!! Especially the pumpkin at the end. Show off!!! 🤣😂🤣jk my brother. Take care and God Bless ~Jay~
Thanks ever so much pal and i was sorry to hear about your Duke, ya know its just heart braking when these things happen and i know my mate hasn't got to long left with me, i will miss him damn it.
You have the best places to shoot. What a great area to hunt. Good as always to see you and Jack out in the field. The meds are working for old Jack. We also give them to our older dogs. Thanks for the continued videos!

Great Video Simon,
Good to see you and Jack back at it.
He is running about lovely, you wouldn't think he has arthritis. Cracking shot with the pumpkin, that was a good distance away...🙂👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Eddie ye seems ok now and the pumpkin was 450 yards
Fantastic as always. Keep up the good work guys 👍🏻
Thanks! Will do!
Wonderful video, really good. I am impressed by the dog's majestic stance and the accuracy of the weapon. Thanks.
Thank you Dimitris.
Some nice shooting as usual with your sako 223 .I use a tikka 223 for long range vermin control myself ,nice to see those crows getting what they deserve .
Thanks Richard ye the Tikkas are brilliant rifles also.
So satisfying to see you dispatch those wretched devil birds. Happy to see your mate Jack feeling better.
Thank you my friend.
Always enjoy your vids especially when Jack's with you and yes he is looking more nimble which is a joy to see.
Thank you my friend he sure is at the moment.
Hey i used to have a Sako 22/250 what a piece of engineering that was. The most incredible accuracy!! Regards Tony.
Brilliant rifles pal..
I noticed you Jack moved a bit more easily. If you could tell me what he is taking i could do with some for myself!
Lol thanks pal, i always forget what they are called lol.
Back in 2007 when my Duke(black lab)had a bad limp the vet gave me some new arthritis pills to give him and they worked wonders, he was able to run and play a lot better. It was dreadful follow-up visit with x-rays told the truth, bone cancer in his left shoulder and down his spine, I'll never forget my Duke😔
Love seeing Jack by your side Simon, he is so well trained. I've been waiting on some nuisance bird shooting 👍👍Great shoot'n my friend!!! Especially the pumpkin at the end. Show off!!! 🤣😂🤣jk my brother. Take care and God Bless
~Jay~
Thanks ever so much pal and i was sorry to hear about your Duke, ya know its just heart braking when these things happen and i know my mate hasn't got to long left with me, i will miss him damn it.

Thanks Steven ye TH-cam don't seem to notify folk the same any more for some strange reason..
You have the best places to shoot. What a great area to hunt. Good as always to see you and Jack out in the field. The meds are working for old Jack. We also give them to our older dogs. Thanks for the continued videos!
Thank you again Frank and very much appreciated as usual pal.
Live these videos. Glad Jack is responding. Love the details
Thanks pal.
Great to see the Jack fella out again .. Hopefully the meds you give him will help with the Arthritis..
