Just had to add my two cents....Bill Medley and Bobby Hattfield.....fyi. Love your channel. Thanks for the smiles and the music. I'm 72 and I'm so happy our music hasn't died.
The music of the fifties and sixties got us boomers ready for the soul of Motown as adults. Thank you for your sincere reactions. Bobby is my fave and he always packs a stick of dynamite in every performance. We were blessed to have had the ability to revel in his talent and soulful delivery.
They were doing a show in Southern California and a young Marine Brother in the audiance stood up and shouted "That's Rightious Brother" and from then on they took that name from then and there.
I would recommend Bobby singing "Summertime" but frankly, I don't know if you could take it. He goes easily over the top within first 30 sec. ❤❤❤ I'm glad you like them too. Some favorite duos: Sam and Dave, The Everly Brothers, Simon and Garfunkel, Peter and Gordon, Chad and Jeremy.
THis is Bill Medley ,Buck was the man who replaced Bobby .I think it was Phil Spector who produced Soul And Inspiration, and You've Lot That Loving Feeling.Phil wanted a wall of noise and that is why the back up singers in those videos hummed and complimented the sound of the instruments as well as the lead vocals.
@@gailsteck2636 Unfortunately you are incorrect. Bill is alive and living well in Santa Ana, Ca. and does occasionally tour with his newest partner Bucky Heard. At least do a little research. This latest November nonsense was just that. A hoax.

Whitney used to hang out with Elvis as a kid. If you don't believe it, watch, Elvis and the black community part 1 and 2. You're not going to believe how people hated Elvis for singing black music. Rock and Roll was originally black music.
My mother, who passed away last year at 86 years old, told me that she danced with Bill Medley at a club in Myrtle Beach, SC, and he was a pretty smooth dancer. That was in the days when the Shag was a very big thing, and she was called a few years ago about being inducted into the Shaggy Hall of fame. She was a fantastic dancer. God rest her soul.
The Righteous Brothers are my go to artists when I want to chill with something mellow and smooth. I was a child when the songs you have reacted to were hits. My mother listened to the Righteous Brothers, the Everly Brothers, Elvis, Paul Anka, all the "crooners" of that time. She was in her early 20's at this time so she was among the young ladies who went crazy over the handsome, smooth voiced young men who dominated the airwaves in the mid twentieth century.
They were entertaining a group of soldiers, a soldier yelled out from the crowd “that is righteous brothers” in regards to their singing. They liked it and started calling themselves the Righteous Brothers
Cher's pipes are somewhere in a number of Spector's biggest hits. She sang backup on the Crystals' "Da Do Ron Ron," the Ronettes' "Be My Baby," and the Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'."
The Righteous Brothers were doing a club show, one of their first. They couldn't decide what to call themselves. At the end of the song a man stood up and yelled , that's righteous brothers. And that's the name they decided on.
Bill medley who's still singing and performing with the late Bobby Hatfield's replacement, Bucky Heard. He's now 82! Still sounds great! Still "righteous!"😘
When The Beatles arrived in America in 1964 to embark on the most anticipated concert tour in the history of music, The Beatles asked The Righteous Brothers to accompany them on their tour and be their opening act!
Regarding the Righteous Brothers, the bass & Baritone singer is Bill Medley. The tenor, head voice and falsetto singer is Bobby Hatfield. After Bobby died in 2003, Bill got a new singing partner named Bucky Heard.
When they were the Paramours they were a quintet. Bobby and Bill recorded a song on their own (Little Latin Lupe Lu) and they needed another name so they used the name they had been called - Righteous Brothers. The song was a hit and they stuck with being a duo and kept the name.
This video and You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling were originally performed live, then the audio from the studio recordings were placed over the live performance.
Just a quick rundown. Live on an Andy Williams variety show Bobby sang when sick with a cold Unchained Melody, his mother was in the audience for the first time, so he was nervous. And that is Bill the bass voice. Bucky came after Bobby died in 2008, I believe it was.
You need to react to Steely Dan "Do it again" "Reeling in the years" "Peg" "Rikki don't lose that number" "Josie" "Kid Charlemagne" and Boz Scaggs "Lowdown" "Lido shuffle" "Look what you've done to me"
You should find the clip of Unchained Melody on the Andy Williams show that starts with the introduction by Andy and the banter between him and Bill and Bobby. You will hear from them just how they got their name, plus a little fun joking among them.
No this is Bill Medley he is a baritone. The reason why Buck started was after Bobby died but didn't start until way after Bobby died, Bill needed a partner and still wanted to sing the song so they found this guy and buck was the guy that they found to take Bobby's place to do concerts around the country they do they did tours.

To set the record straight, many performers, depending on the cheapness of the TV show, did lip sync- they had no choice. But, in the case of the Righteous Brothers’ You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling, and this, Soul and Inspiration were both sung live, but some TH-camr has superimposed the original record over the TV broadcast.
I am going to say this for the billionth time. Many of these old videos are actually Hybrids”. The video is of a live performance sung live. The audio quality was very poor so years later someone took the studio recording and dubbed it over the original live video. Thats why they dont match. Not because it was lip synched.
I haven't said that a billion times but many times. Actually, I think they do the substitutions because they only want to hear the records not what the singers can do outside of a recording studio with different music accompaniment. Thankfully, with the Righteous Brothers, the real live performances are also available on TH-cam. That's my take anyway.
