He describes his playing as learning from the greats and stuffing them into his knowledge and as an artist he interprets all the stuff he has learned since he started at 4. If this concert wasn't successful it was beginning of the end. The 2 drummers helped fill the sound and looked cool as you know.

You see there's a lot of change going on around the time this song came out in the United States of America especially . This song was released in 1968 the year after I was born and this was right after Vietnam War and at the start of the Vietnam War things were more like the 1950s people trusted their government people did what they were supposed to do people were a lot more restricted and getting the old ways or whatever. I mean when the Beatles came out and they came over here from England they were like wild because of the fact that their hair was touching their ears and that wasn't really appropriate for boys to have such long hair now go and look at the Beatles on their first album that doesn't look like long hair does it lol but it was for here it was wild and unruly. Basically clothing styles started really changing from loose fitting long below the knee poodle skirts and such of the 1950s to tight fitting bright colored clothing and short clothing showing leg skirts above the knee and Boots up to the knee girls were cutting their hair short boys were growing their hair long complete opposite of the era just prior and it seems people we're not getting married two the first person they they started dating type of thing and sex before marriage started happening and divorce and when I looked into why did it seem like that was starting well I discovered that birth control pills came out in early 1960s😮 and this made the possibility of having sex prior to marriage and with someone who you may not want to get married to and have babies with a possibility more of a possibility . Prior to birth control prior to birth control that was more 99% effective which sure condoms we're out before birth control but birth control pills made options that a woman could choose prior to birth control parents were really really concerned with their daughters running around with boys and having freedom because the first time a guy gets her to do that with them it could be the very first time she has sex she ends up pregnant. And this may not be somebody who she's been dating since she was 16 in high school she may not want to marry this person you may not want your daughter to marry this person. But if she ends up pregnant that means how much longer are you going to be taking care of your daughter you might be taking care of your daughter for the rest of her life because she may not find a husband she's already got a child and if you have a bunch of kids and she's the first one she may never leave the nest what's going to happen to her so it was different world in 1950s and prior to the early 1960s when birth control came out. Also by the end of the Vietnam War the Patriotic trust your government your government has your best interests at heart believe had gone out the window by the end of the Vietnam War and the youth were rebelling against the beliefs of the 1950s and the 1950s as this singer points out in her song we're not all squeaky clean as they try and hide and make it look as if everybody is all squeaky clean when they were pointing fingers at her trying to say she was a bad influence on her child. Due to the way she looks and the way she acts in public because the 1950s generation of people were just as perhaps corrupt or not necessarily the best positive influence on a child sneaking around doing things undercover and thinking they're all squeaky clean acting as if they're all squeaky clean when they were not necessarily they just pretended like they were and everybody just looked the other way hypocrites love when they can point their finger at something else saying look at that that's what's corrupt and bad her mini skirt it must mean that she is blah blah blah and a bad mom and blah blah blah a lot changed between the 1950s and the 1960s that's for sure. And it's definitely reflected in the music. Look at the music from the 1950s and the late forties. If you hear a band play you may think oh okay this is a white band or this is a black man the black man sounded like white bands but that was due to the fact that to slowly get accepted by white audiences and white venues which most of the big venues were white venues at first so black artists needed to be accepted and it's really wild actually and we credit people like Elvis and such for early rock and roll but nah it's not really that way if you go and look and think about a lot of early rock and roll is an early guitar is straight up from black artists Little Richard was wild he started off in gospel as a small child and he lit the scene on fire. But go back further than that look up Sister Roberta Thorpe gospel he preached the gospel okay and she did it with her electric guitar seriously do yourself a favor look up Sister Roberta Thorpe if you want to look at some of the original origin of rock and roll and the electric guitar seriously as Sex Pistols used to say, do yourself a favor. The look of them is from the late 1960's to a degree. Minus the earthy tones, suede & denims of the hippie types. Dee Lite style is more so all about the brighter side of the psychedelic 1960 look w/o a doubt !!!! And Bootsy Collins has his own look that fits in just so perfectly of course !!! Just got to love Bootsy Collins seriously any band that has his attention has my attention

Oh yeah and there's a little Japanese girl who her mother and her mother's friends play music and when she was finally to the age of crawling around out of her playpen or whatever her mother would end up handing her to the drummer and she sit on his lap while he was playing drums it kept her occupied and boy she picked up playing drums okay and the first thing I heard her do was this song on the drums at age 7 and she Nails it absolutely Nails it look up 7-year-old Japanese drummer plays Bulls on Parade if you want to see a fabulous video
