It's an interesting world these days. I'm an old man, a half breed Mohawk injun that lives alone in the north woods of Maine. I only see other people when I want to. This amazing phone is practically my only contact with the outside world. It blows my old hippie mind that I can watch somebody 50 years younger who has lived a totally different life than me get off on the same shit that I did when I was your age. Rock on, young man, you've got the spirit...
Listen to "I just want to make love to you" by the Righteous Brothers. Itll change your life. You will truely realize your grandparents were way cooler than you...lol

So glad to see the young people being able to reach back to the music of our youth. Btw Just turned 72 Teresa. The sound track of our youth. Peace and Love dear
As a "baby boomer" who was raised with this music, it is so heart warming to see that it is still touching our younger generation and showing them real talent.
I'm a white woman in my mid seventies and I grew up with Motown, Rhythm and Blues and these guys who represent blue-eyed soul! It's great to see young people who appreciate the harmony of Bobby, the tenor with a six octave range and Bill a true baritone! Great music is universal!
The name came from some black Marines in a bar they were performing in. One of them was so impressed he yelled "That's RIGHTEOUS brothers!" And I guess these two unrelated guys decided that was the best name ever. So that's what they called themselves after that.
My brotha, Im happy for ya! These cats sang about devotion and dedication to and for a woman...an unpopular notion tbese days. Keep unpacking these soul gems from the 60s.
All that before autotune. Pure talent A time when acapella was how they got noticed. Thank you for giving this music air time. So cool. We have to keep great music alive period. Generation to generation
It's like two guys with the power of TEN awesome VOICES! That's how strong their vocals are. Their harmonizing is superb also. I've always loved their music!
I remember going down a country road around 1967 in a Mustang with the top down listening to this song. I thought I was going to fly away. Young bro, you're mining gold, Thank you
I have to admit I'm bawling right now. Not only the music, but how much this beautiful young man appreciates it. The Twins bring Joy and show Music truly IS the language of The Universe. Keep your Hearts, Minds and Ears open. ✌🙌✌
Your love for music is infectious. Have you considered becoming a music historian? I think it might be something you’d love to do. Maybe teaching and sharing (creating a museum) it’s history so it’s preserved and passed on to younger generations.. just a thought :-)
If you ever have lady troubles, just play this, she will melt LOL. No, they are not actually brothers, they are Bill Medley (tall bass singer) & Bobby Hatfield (blond tenor singer). Bobby passed away in 2003. Thanks for doing this one, young man.
@@monagarrison2389 Oh yes, although I was born in '62 my mother had a broad range of music she liked to listen to. One of her favorites were the Righteous Brothers.
Love it when after Bobby's quiet talking Bill comes exploding in with his emotional soulful pleading. You felt it too I could tell. You said "best duo ever!" I agree! Thank you for not pausing at critical spots and respecting the music by not talking too much. You are a Oner especially at such a young age. 😍
Whoa Bobby you always gave us a surprise in the middle. Best duo ever and they each did solos. Talent never dies. Thanks for your sincere reaction of our teen music of the sixties.
I heard this song when it came out over 54 years ago. I had the single when it came out then tossed it 4 years later because I wore it out playing it so much! It will always be my favorite song of theirs.
I grew up in the 1970's. This song will stand the test of time. Nice to see you have an old soul. Few have this trait you have. Thanks for your reaction video. Keep it up and please remember to pass the many songs of our past to your kids and so on. They will be better off and well rounded. ✌🏼🙏🏼🌎🌍🌏
The Righteous Brothers were originally an American musical duo of Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield. They began performing together in 1962 in the Los Angeles area as part of a five-member group called the Paramours,[1] but adopted the name "The Righteous Brothers" when they embarked on their recording career as a duo. Their most active recording period was in the 1960s and 70s, and although the duo was inactive for some years, Hatfield and Medley reunited in 1981 and continued to perform until Hatfield's death in 2003. The music they performed is sometimes dubbed "blue-eyed soul".
The music industry in those days very effectively sought out and supported real talent. However, if you couldn't pull it off live in front of an audience, you didn't get a record deal.
We had a plethora of great music in the 60's and 70's. Band, for the most part, wrote their own lyrics and music, played their own instruments and didn't need a computer to sing. It was a great time to listen to music.
@@monagarrison2389 So true, in some ways it brought us together. Some music today, keeps us apart. Maybe BTS will bring the young people today, together. IDK
I love your reaction. I'm old (turned 72 last week) and this is the music I grew up with. I love that someone young like you appreciates pure, true talent.
This time period was amazing for talent. These performers did the songs live with very little in the way, just the music and the amazing voices. No dancers running all over the place or flashy stuff, just pure beautiful music. I'm glad to see the new generation discovering such talent from the past.
Had to watch your reaction to Soul & Inspiration after seeing your deep reaction to Bobby Hatfield's Unchained Melody. Top tier music by anyone's standards. Glad to see a young man's appreciation.
They were the most awesome duo ever. We had some really great music in our era. Love them. Thanks for sharing and showing so much appreciation for such great talent!!
It's wonderful seeing a younger person hear a loved song for the first time. This was in my teens and I loved them and still do. Now, you get them too.
at 65 years old I still remember all the words to these songs. We always had a dance every Friday night after the high school football games. That was a regular song that the band played. So Great!
I normally do not watch videos like this, but I kept seeing the suggestion on the side of my screen and I decided to make a pit stop, and I'm really glad I did. I enjoy watching people respect and appreciate various forms of music and the reactions I keep seeing are just heartwarming if I'm being honest. Thank you for sharing this.
I loved seeing your reactions to these old songs, as a child born in the 60s I grew up with this music with my parents and still love it today , I’ve had to subscribe to see more 😁
It was no coincidence that during the peak of their popularity, they were being produced by the genius Phil Spector before he lost his mind. They had the talent, he had the ear and the "wall of sound". My favorite number of theirs is "Just Once in my Life". Check it out. Also, check out Spector's first effort with the wall of sound concept, from a little over 3 years before the Medley and Hatfield hit it big. Gene Pitney's "Every Breath I Take."
Yes, I love them too! For ages I thought they were a Black group, too, just from hearing them on the radio. However, music has no colour, nor does soul.
I am so happy you found these guys. They are legends who Billy Joel Inducted into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. This was the Second Song written for them by Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil after You've Lost That Loving Feeling. The Show they are on is called Hullabaloo where each week a Different Person Hosts. It was also the First Song they did after leaving Phil Spector.
When you said 'their tones just work perfectly together,' I was just about to say that. One has a deeper voice, the other higher, and they just compliment each other to a T.
1:07. I just can't get used to how deep this man's voice is. I just finished listening to another song with him, and I came here and still got shocked! So soulful and rich and powerful! Amazing.
That's what makes this almost amazing because you would think that they really were brothers and it's been a lot of time you know perfecting their sound but in reality they are two studio singers that were put together by a studio who thought that they could really be something special singing together and as you and I both know that worked out to be quite good for the studio or they are really a fantastic duo.
I grew up listening to these guys. I fell in love with guys when I was 15 yrs old. I have every vinyl record they made. I'm 73 yrs old and I still listen to their CD'S in my car. ❤❤❤❤
One of my favorite songs by the Righteous Brothers is Little Latin Lupe Lu. I can't help but dance to the song. I am now in my 40's and I can't quite move the same as when I was younger, but I still shake my thing when that song comes on.
Watched all 3 of your reactions to the Righteous Brothers and loved each one more than the last. Love to see someone to affected by the music. Keep up the great work.
One thing to keep in mind - I've heard others express wonder at the performances in other 'react' videos - is that most of these videos use the studio soundtracks with the singers lip-synching. That's why their performances look effortless and perfect. Not to take anything away from these amazing songs. The studio musicians had a lot to do with the polished sound and production values and there were many unbelievably talented (and anonymous) musicians and backup singers contributing to the song's success.
I am in a living hell with today's music. I grew up with the Righteous Brothers, Marvin Gaye, Elvis, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, the Doors, The Four Tops, the Temptations and so on and so on. A list of hall of fame artists that were truly talented. And now, the best the radio has to offer is Taylor Swift? WTF????!!!!
Thanks for bringing up your good ear in terms of the Righteous Brothers. Only true scholars of music theory and history can point out to the rest of us in what talent we overlooked in the formative years of 20th century. Thank-you. "I Only Want to Make Love To You," by the Righteous Brothers was very early bluesy music by white musicians, in the mid-20th century. I had no idea!

You made a very insightful remark .....there was a time that only God gifted singers were featured and promoted....too many people in the field that make a lot of noise , or technology is used to make them sound better......true mega talent is rare ....glad you enjoy them as much as my generation did
The spark and enthusiasm you show remind me of my young students when they got the joy of ‘seeing’-be it in reading or math or art or music. Thank you.
I’m 65 and I love your reaction to the Righteous Brothers you show so much respect for their music. I got a kick out of your reaction because believe me they were so special and the music in my generation was awesome there will never be music like that again. If you get around to it play Percy. Sludge When a Man Loves a Woman and Otis Redding Sitting by the Dock of the Bay great music thank you
I love it that a lot of young reactors like you have discovered and appreciate The Righteous Brothers. I just heard a song by them that I had forgotten about called "Ebb Tide". It was another one, like Unchained Melody, that Bobby Hatfield sang solo. I haven't seen anyone else react to it yet.
I am 73-year-old white, (Not that it matters) Grandmother of 4 Grandsons and I love watching you and your twin, and like others have said the joy of seeing you listening to music from when I listened to when I was your ages is so heartwarming.

Okay, The tall guy is Bill Medley. the other is Bobby Hatfield. They are not related which makes it more amazing that in this huge world they would be brought together in such anawesome duo. Bill is still touring and Bobby has passed. I would like you to react to the Bee Gees, who were 3 brothers with amazing vocals.

I tell you, being a woman and listening to these guys sing with all their heart and soul singing in a way that reflects such passion makes you fall in love with these guys. I fall in love with them every time I hear their music; nothing can top their soulful and passionate sound. When you hear them sing, you can feel how deep the passion is in their spirit; it just makes you melt to hear a man having that much love for a woman and express it so flawlessly in song. When I tell you I’m in love with these guys, I’m in love with these guys! I’ve never met any man in my life that can express love in the manner these guys put into a song. I hope the love for the woman they’re singing to in these lyrics reflects the actual love in their lives; and if those women didn’t appreciate these brothers, then they didn’t know what they truly have or had in their possession. Music today is crap compared to the music sung in the fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties, and mid-nineties. Those artists knew love and how to express love. All you hear today in music is money, sex, bitches, ho’s, boss, materialistic bs, etc, that’s not music, and especially rap; and women today lying to themselves by saying they don’t need a man. Everybody needs somebody that’s one of the reasons why God created man, and the woman for the man; not the man for the woman...recognize. Very few artists today know how to express love in song, that’s rare. Thank God for blessing us with the essence of love and the talent from these guys by showing in song what true love is in the spirit. Bobby Hatfield is no longer with us, and Bill Medley just recently turned 80 years young; and they’re style of music will always take us to a place that fills our heart and soul with the love and passion deeply expressed in song! I’M IN LOVE WITH THESE GUYS! ❤️❤️❤️
As a child of the 60's, I truly enjoy watching young men and women meet the music that I listened to. I am glad you enjoy the Righteous Brothers. They were excellent. Unfortunately, Bobby Hatfield died a few years ago, but Bill Medley is still with us.

Thank you.
Dude I'm getting attached to you. Love watching you react these blue eyed soul brothers.
I am also you can tell he loves the old ones only been on his sight a few days and will keep watching
Right?
I’m 65 and I love your reaction to the Righteous Brothers you show so much respect for their music. I got a kick out of your reaction because believe me they were so special and the music in my generation was awesome there will never be music like that again. If you get around to it play Percy. Sludge When a Man Loves a Woman and Otis Redding Sitting by the Dock of the Bay great music thank you
It seeems you are a great fan of the Righteous Brothers.Their voices are remarkable.
Beautiful to see your reaction, Nice to see young people being touched by beautiful and romantic vintage songs.
Bill Medley produced unchained melody and played the piano.Said if he thought it was going to be a hit he would have hired a piano player.
I am so hooked on your channel bringing me back to my youth and great music in these troubling times-thank you so much!
Natural voice, no augmentation.....pure soul
I am 73-year-old white, (Not that it matters) Grandmother of 4 Grandsons and I love watching you and your twin, and like others have said the joy of seeing you listening to music from when I listened to when I was your ages is so heartwarming.
I forgot about that song. Beautiful! Amazing voices
And, just think about this, they are doing these performances live in front of an audience. That's talent! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. 2019
It's sooooooo nice to see younger people actually taking the time to listen to REAL music I grew up in the 60's and 70's born in 56 and NOTHING compares to the music then it had feeling and meant something
I grew up on this music. This is classic music. No effort in the righteous brothers singing. Excellent talent.
great great song and vocals, but the beginning just gets me every time..." girl i can't let you do this, let you walk away" and from there.
Thank God you are bringing back this music. Some of the best ever. And what’s even better ? Young as you are you GET IT ! Some of the best music ever made. Thank you for this. Love you guys. ❤️🔥
I just love you guys! Your youthful enthusiasm makes me smile! Your making these rough times a little better.
Love the brothers Gibb! Robin had the voice of an angel!
Thanks for this info, I didn’t know their names. when I read the name bill medley I thought it sounded familiar so I looked him up on here and he sang time of my life from dirty dancing. I love that movie and song so I just thought that was cool. So thanks.
@@mackenzie98 they were brought together by the guitar player, who played for both of there different bands.Bobby played a party at long Beach state where he had a baseball scholarship.Bill Medley showed up to listen.was invited up to sing,As sometimes happen in life, they were perfect together.both knew the words and the rest is hisrory
It's soooooo much fun to see how you appreciate music that was made long before you were born. And your honest, unfiltered reactions are priceless!!!! Keep up the great vibes Tim! God bless you and your bro.
We played their songs at our wedding 💖💖💖
I love your reactions you have the best!!!
I'm so glad that you, a young man still enjoyed the greatest duo of the time.
This was a big hit as I recall 50 years ago, I hope you enjoy good music 50 years from now with a young man like you as DJ. God bless
As a child of the 60's, I truly enjoy watching young men and women meet the music that I listened to. I am glad you enjoy the Righteous Brothers. They were excellent. Unfortunately, Bobby Hatfield died a few years ago, but Bill Medley is still with us.
Their music is timeless perfection
