    Great video for anyone remotely interested in the VisionJet. Magazine articles do not come anywhere near to the details that this video shows from both a cabin and exterior perspective. (Detail footage of the landing gear is much appreciated.). With such attention to detail, I only wish you had footage if the engine start, taxi and flight. [For Cirrus: You should produce a video for the single engine recip G1000 pilots who can only dream of flying such an aircraft.]. Thank you for your outstanding effort, Patrick from Albuquerque

    Hi. Thank you for creating the video because the SF50 is really interesting. But, please don't pan and move in so close through most of the video. Getting an idea of the whole plane would be easier if you took a step back and left the shot steady for 8-12 seconds before moving on. It's really hard to take it all in when the scene is panning and changing directions a lot. Thanks again and looking forward to your future videos.

    @AI Waterloo, What is the reason for flaps circuit breaker being popped ?

    • @al.waterloo
      @al.waterloo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Great question! I filmed this at a local air show. We always believe in letting people in the airplane no matter what to have an experience. We disable certain systems like the flaps, fuel system, starter..etc so that people can enjoy and not accidentally turn something on that can hurt the people on the outside. That’s why the flap circuit breaker is pulled!

    • @al.waterloo

    • @curtisccr
      @curtisccr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some planes have systems laid out in a way that single pilot ops are not possible/practical from the left seat. I wondered about that with the King Air, and the SF50 - engine starting is just one thing that would be awkward at best from the right seat. I was skimming through the AFM for the Diamond DA62 and it states that a pilot is required to be in the left seat, not sure what enforcement is applicable, but it’s in the book.

    • @speedomars
      @speedomars 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@curtisccr The SF50 can be started from either seat - it's a single button push... The environmental controls are also reachable from the left seat in all their planes despite the cluster being mounted on the right side of the panel. Never been in a Diamond nor desire to either.

    Very cool Al. Thanks again for sharing. As I’m sure everyone says to you, I love the cabin especially compared to the more pricey TBM or equally priced M600, The one area where the vision jet has me a little concerned is the runway performance. I fly out of a 3200 foot runway and was curious if that would be an issue for the vision jet?

    • @al.waterloo
      @al.waterloo  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Michael! Glad you liked it! You are spot on, the Vision Jet’s passenger and pilot experience is second to none. That’s what the plane was foremost designed around you can immediately feel it getting in. The jet really does love 4000 FT runways. I have seen it get in and out of 3200 ft runways but under certain conditions.

    • @jonkagan7170
      @jonkagan7170 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I fly mine out of a 3500 foot runway, and I have not yet had a problem. I don’t usually fly out at max takeoff weight. Fuel is very expensive at my home airport, so I rarely fuel up there. Because max landing weight is 5,500, and my loads are relatively consistent, I am usually far under max weight when I depart. That, combined with the fact that it is usually in the 70s or less when I take off, always gets me off the runway with room to spare.

    Very nice airplane and video, but be careful with seating arrangement to be FAA legal as you as you cannot block access to rear seats with middle console. In other words, with executive seating the cirrus Jet is a 4 seater airplane, removing the middle console you can add seat 5 and 2 jumper seats.

    What will be the range for this aircraft? And the price

      The Vision Jet today is $2.85M and can fly about 1000-1200 miles. If you were to load up about 800 pounds of cargo you could comfortably fly about 800 miles. Thats my good rule of thumb!

    Love it apart from the non stop not relevant music. What's its purpose as verbal descriptions would be most useful?

    I’m sad this aircraft is not on Microsoft flight simulator 2020

      I think this would an awesome addition to MSFS 2020. Have you flown the SR in MS2020?

      Not yet, just some Cessnas. They’re easier to fly. Still working on my skills. Hoping I’ll get to learn how to fly one day....not cheap 😀

    I like this Airplane. Its so easy to fly. But now at the moment I only flew it on X-Plane for about 50-100 hours. Its so modern that you almost can think Tesla build this plane. Such a great machine :) Nice Video :D

    I ask in all seriousness, what is the mission profile or combination of mission profiles for which this is the best airplane? I can’t think of any.

    • @al.waterloo
      @al.waterloo  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are many different missions which is awesome. There are over 200 of them flying in the field servings all different kinds of missions!
