I will save you the 10 minutes. A single engine land rating and an instrument add on if you plan on flying at or above FL 180, in addition to the type rating since it is a jet/turbofan bird. Done.
To fully utilize this aircraft's performance capability, operation above 18,000 ft will, in the United States, require a pilot be instrument rating. Operating this aircraft below 18,000 ft would cause it to gobble fuel and greatly reduce range and speed. SO a PPL with instrument rating is all you will need to satisfy the FAA. Satisfying your insurance company may be a tougher bar. Hard to imagine insurance company sending you into the wild blue without at least a few hundred hours of instrument time.
Thank you! Only thing I’d add is that basic med cannot be used for this plane due to cabin configuration that seats more than 6 people total including the pilot.
THis is the safest jet available for a single pilot. It has an autoland feature, parachute, LVL, auto radar and auto throttle. It decreases the workload by far. To fly the plane all you need are three thing. - Private pilot license, intrument rating and type rating. Cirrus also gives you a complementary 50 hour SOE time with a seasoned SF50 Pilot. It may not be super fast but it has a VERY reliable jet engine, 31,000 ft ceiling and is just a great plane.
Not for the average weekend pilot, the price and hourly operating cost. They didn’t mention Sirius synthetic weather radar add on$$. Lovely aircraft but not inexpensive!
You didn’t mention that the parachute has to be changed every 5 year at the price of $30K. Plus the 10 days training cost another $30K. Ahhh, and forget to mention that this plane stalls by the tail. Probably the main reason to get the parachute. Just saying
I dont know about you,but the cup holders were a deal clincher.really if you need a jet to fulfill your life spens about the same and get a lightly used Honda jet.
The SF50 is one of the ugliest airplanes ever made. Looks like the engineers designed it and on Fri afternoon at 4 they realized they forgot the engine. Since happy hours was an hour away they just glued the engine on top and called it a day.
What you really need is a good life insurance. That tail is dangerous. I wouldn't buy that thing, not even crazy! That tail has been proven to not withstand very well the aerodynamic forces. With IMC or worse is a catastrophic structural failure waiting to happen.
SF50 is honestly the worst jet. It's relatively slow, and not very good performance. Get yourself a PC-12 with 9 seats and the same fuel burn. Or a phenom 100 with less fuel burn and TWO HUNDRED more mph top speed.
The aircraft is most likely to appeal to an owner pilot looking to step up to pressurized piston twin, like a Cessna 340. The jet is faster but climb performance not significantly better. The Phenom 100 and PC12 are a lot more money. Or one could get an old Citation and refurbish it with new avionics and Williams engines for about $3M.

Thank you for saving my time currency

Thanks! I can't stand looking at video of this masterpiece. 😵💫

And an insurance company that will write you a policy.
It’s all i needed to know …
Incredible plane. I had the opportunity to see it this year in Friedrichshafen and I was blown away!!
The type rating is what gets you. It's basically another checkride but costs WAY more
Add 10,000 ft. higher ceiling and it'd be perfect. For nearly $3M, I'd want to be able to fly over more weather.
You asked for thumbs up, i gave you one, thank you for the good content !!!
It's a master piece.
It looks like a nice plane. If I was to hit the lottery, I would get it!
It was always my dream to fly a cute jet like this plane
It's a fun jet to fly, in Microsoft Flight Sim 2024. Although,I have reservations about single engine real world IMC flying in any airplane.
This is a pure diamond jewel. As a vision jet!!👍😁
Yes sir, those cup holders and usb ports got me. Sign me up.
How many miles can it glide with the engine off?
AMAZING
PPL and type rating but you must fly VFR otherwise- to fly IFR - you should obtain your IR ✅✅
Can i fly the vision with my motorbike licence, its not much bigger
hahahaha
Looking very nice.
To dream, it's free .you dont need much to dream .

If god gave me the money, I'll buy it, and I'll take the licence to fly it by myself .

It's a great thing that it has a parachute, so you can use it if you need to pee in the middle of the Atlantic.
It’s got the performance of a piper cub and it’s owned by the Chinese. When I found that out it immediately became a NOPE!
I hear you buddy. Yesterday I was out cruising in my Piper Cub at FL310 truing out at 300 KTAS thinking the same thing. 🙄🖕🏽
I really don't like the AI narrators on these channels.
i'm buying a L-39 instead. use the saved $ for maintenance, fuel, operating expenses.
If things go REALLY wrong at V1-500ft....youre screwed.....
No more so than you would be in any other single engine aircraft. But much less so due to the parachute.
Is it better to fly into the trees with a parachute draggning you down? Yes, yes it is.

"They don't have a toilet room, but they have the video screen"? I didn't see the connection in that sentence
Tbh if you ain't got a loo, you ain't a sale... imagine the discomfort of wearing an adult diaper
I believe you have to be certified as a single jet engine pilot
Reincarnation of the "forked tail doctor killer"?
The question is can you get insurance?
TBM is cheaper, faster and longer range with higher payload
Which model?
Owned by china now?
I had to shit on my Cirrus no problem I have a bag

Pee out the window?
The licence is irrelevant. A good source of drug related income will help.

Two pilots both of tgise
Don't discount the parachute. You are planning to put your whole family on it right?
@@benghazi4216 I fly my family in airplanes without parachutes just fine.
What about the TBM-900
A pilot’s license
😂😂😂😂
