@@mirabeltina7841 Use a hyaluronic acid serum, its good for ages 10+ and stay away from irritating ingredients like vitamin c, retinol and chemical peels
@@mirabeltina7841I'm a teenager with acne problems and currently I'm using CeraVe acne control cleanser/blemish control cleanser so far it's not irritating but effectively cleanse some of my pimples but on the first 1-2nd week you may experience skin purging
Personally I think if you have dark spots and acne scars you should use vitamin c or niacinamide serums. People with combination or oily skin like me cannot for the life of me use creams on our faces, cuz it just clogs and causes more acne. Use gel or lotion moisturizers! I find k beauty brands such as axis y and skin1004 very affordable and reliable. The axis y dark spot niacinamide glow serum saved my skin and I already see some results after just a week!
I'm 14 years old that has acne and I'm currently starting skincare,I plan for the following to be my routine 1.gentle cleanser(day and night) 2.Salycilic acid or niacinamide(day and night) 3.Moisturizer(day and night) 4.Sunscreen(day) Is there anything I need to change or add pls let me know
I use it every morning and every night along with a toner and a great moisturizer! My skin has improved a 100 times better than when I started! I also do a clay mask cleansing once a week which cleans up the oils in my T- area!
thank you so much for these videos. At 40 I have learned so much that I should have known for years. Here's a question for you: Is it smart to use retinol during the day? I found a daytime retinol product that is also paired with one at night. I currently use one at night already. Would the combination of daytime and nighttime retinol a bad idea?
Same. So I went down a rabbit hole! Most sunscreens are chemical based and penetrates your skin. Avoid those. Mineral (aka physical) sunscreens do not penetrate your skin but rather, sit on top. They consist of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. They’re also the only ingredients in sunscreen deemed safe by the FDA. The blue lizard one in this video is the one I just ordered. I’m hoping it goes well because 3 days later after my kayaking trip and I am still scratching myself bloody with hives. 😢 I hope this helps you and good luck! I feel your pain.. truly.
I really hate that because of some 10-12 year olds (i know I’m 12)have just put a bad image on us when some of us like me just want some simple skincare cuz of the acne and pimples l
Most of these products say it can be applied after cleansing before moisturizer/sunscreen but always check your particular product instructions. A few other derms have shorts/videos on this.
She shouldn’t be using a salicylic acid cleanser just a regular one and make sure she’s washing off all her hair care products on here forehead because the acne could be build up
It's so annoying, everyone says something different. First I heard you need Face Wash, Moisturizer and Face Cream, now I hear you have to use Cleanser, Vitamin C and Sunscreen. I have no idea anymore.
Hi. Can anybody help me out. I have a 13 year old boy, he does do his routine which is simple religiously because he has psoriasis. He's gettng blackheads on his nose and hes quite aware of them now. What would you recommend for him? Rest of his face is fine, just the nose. please and thank you.
My youngest daughter 8yo gets these white blotches on her face around her mouth area , I know I also used to get them as a kid , just curious as to what they are and if I can treat them with anything ? Thank you
@@FearlessBunnyytbh never had reaction to anything but my skin is very frinkin dry , i used the moisturizer and the face wash and i started to have red patches on my cheeks which only used to happen when i ran or did some physical stuff
Unless your dermatologist recommends to help with severe acne, then it's a waste of money to use retinoids in your teens imo. Do you already have fine lines/wrinkles developing on your face like people in their late 20s and 30s? That's the big reason why adults use it. Just wash your face, moisturize, and use sunscreen during daytime like the guy in the video said. You will save money and time. The fancy stuff is for when you are in your mid 20s and above.
You can use the same wash and moisturizer if you want but you should use a retinol and sunscreen SPF higher than 30 And get a chemical exfoliant than u use 2 a week
If u live in NYC Try to find out tibetan herbal doctor medicine and take atleast for one month u will see change Very good And eat less dairy product less sugar less hot chilli
I mean, we may never would have gotten retinoids if they didn't study it for acne for them. (Before you say it, yes adults get acne, but they had it in mind for teenagers...) Just because you don't give an f doesn't mean others don't.
@@dabd8175 I'm not a child anymore, just someone who feels for them because I was a kid once who did have really bad acne. Sympathy wouldn't hurt you, my dude/dudette, especially considering you were even a child at one point too.
