I’ve been slowly healing my skin barrier after a huge change in my skin a couple months ago. My entire face went from being practically flawless to every single inch covered in painful inflamed acne. Thankfully it’s gotten a lot better but now I have a lot of hyperpigmentation. Thanks for going over some affordable options! I’m excited to try one of them.
I started getting dark spots on my cheeks in my 50s. I started using the CeraVe vitamin C daily and the dark spots are so light you’d have to stare closely to see any trace of them. That line has done wonders for my skin.
Thank you so much for the education you give us in your videos. Especially thank you ro talking about products for people with rosacea and sensitive skin. Can you talk about retinol alternatives for people with sensitive skin that truly cannot tolerate retinol? Thank you so much!
My go to is Naturium’s vitamin c. Tried many before including a couple of high priced ones and they would always make my skin itch all day, and burn even with moisturizer. This was a game changer.
Daniel. Your videos are soo helpfully! I tried getting in to Skincare several times now but I get overwhelmed trying to figure out what I need. I binged all your videos on instagram and now I have a great Skincare routine. Thanks a lot!
I ordered the Timeless 10% vitamin c serum (black friday deal). Looking forward to trying it. I opted for the 10% instead of the 20% as I've heard the 20 can be a bit too harsh for some.
Aloha, great info 👍when I first started all I heard about was SC 170.00 used for yes until VC really came out, lots of great options! If you could pick only one, which would it be? Have a great CD weekend 👍🙌👍
Nice selection. CeraVe is just not for me. So many of their products don't work well for me. Cetaphil and Vanicream and La Roche Posay are my favorite drugstore brands. Timeless C is too irritating for me, so that was counterproductive, but I am still on the search for a 15-20% C product that I can tolerate. Derma E has been good as well as the Vanicream and new Cetaphil one. I have now added to Vitamin C oils to try to boost Vitamin C - one by Biossance, and one by Derma E. I would love to hear your review of Clean Beauty brands like Derma E, Acure, and Andalou Naturals. I have found some real gem formulas in those brands that are reasonably priced and very effective.
Hi Dr. Sugai, I’m new to this Chanel, I have a quick question for you, do I need to apply moisturizing cream on top of OLAY retinol 24 night moisturizer? Watching from Toronto
Thank you for this! Question I have been using the Laroche Posay one and it does brown fairly quickly. It’s not harmful to use when it’s oxidized like that is it? It’s just that the oxidation reduces the efficacy?
I’ve tried 4 different kinds of C and none lightened my spots or brightened anything. Do they really work? I gave them a good year try. Hell I even combined them. Literally nothing. 40% down to 15%. A couple were c, e and ferulic included. Just nothing. Niacinimife makes me break out. Retinol goes too. I use tret with no problem. Is it just my skin or is vit C not really as good as I thought? lol
@laurajean7913 timeless was the most visually effective, but I prefer the texture of the naturium. Timeless is very watery so a bit tricky not to spill. I just wish the percentage of naturium was listed. Naturium is....lubricating? Lol. Felt really nice
Has anyone tried [re]fresh? It does contain vitamin B + E + ferulic acid. Costco sells it for about $30. I'm using it and it doesn't seem to help. Thanks!
I think it should be light as he has spoken before about Amber colored retinol being old and not effective. You may be able to find one of his videos tapping about it.
Nope, feel free to apply it and then keep going with your next step. You should wait 10 mins to apply makeup after your last step of sunscreen, though.
He stated you could use both, using vitamin c before the hyaluronic acid. Vitamin c helps with brightening the skin and getting rid of dark spots while hyaluronic acid temporarily plumps up fine lines.
You are my favorite dermatologist on TH-cam. Thank you for helping your viewers with your amazing knowledge and care

Timeless is my absolute go-to with Roc capsules for travel.
I love the Cerave, keep it in my fridge. I buy every few months from CVS with a 40% coupon so less than $16 bucks! Has really glowed up my skin.
Where do you get coupons?❤
How do you get that coupon?

Just bought the ROC vitamin C serum on sale and their new barrier face wash. Can’t wait to try.
Thank you Doctor!!! You really serves our community 🙏
Thank you for your video. I use timeless vitamin c and it works for my 64 year old skin 😊
I will try either Cetaphil or Vanicream for both my teenage kids having moderately severe eczema.
Vanicream vit C is wonderful for sensitive skin and affordable!
I just bought it. I hope I like it.
Love this product but can’t get in Canada

No irritation with this vitamin C??
I love their peptide eye cream and I am dying to try their vitamin C, but I’m afraid of irritation.
@ I got no irritation at all, and I have sensitive skin. I also love that it does not smell and does not feel super sticky.
We/'re grateful for you sharing this with us!🙌❤
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this most informative and helpful video! Easy to understand with reasonable prices... well done and truly helpful.
Have a good holiday season too Dr ✨
Timeless!! Is great.
The 20% worked so well on my forehead but made the rest of my face so red. If it wasn't for the redness I would have kept using it.
I’ll be following you forever !!! Ty for this knowledge Dr ! Love this !

Geek and Gorgeous vitamin c is the best!
Timeless or geek and gorgeous?
Ty very much ❤. You are so informative. Happy Thanksgiving 🎉
I use cerave and it really works I am 61, I live in the uk and it only costs £7.00 online, a lot cheaper than the US price.

Try cosrx C23 vitamin C, it's a corean brand
I go with TRUSKIN

Hello 👋🏼
What do you think about the Allies of skin vitamin c? Is it good and is it a stable vitamin c?
I’ve tried 4 different kinds of C and none lightened my spots or brightened anything. Do they really work? I gave them a good year try. Hell I even combined them. Literally nothing. 40% down to 15%. A couple were c, e and ferulic included. Just nothing. Niacinimife makes me break out. Retinol goes too. I use tret with no problem. Same thing happen to me and using vitamin c in the morning made your skin turn orange-yellowish when it oxidized
Is the timeless one better than the maelove? Would you do a review or give us your opinion between the two, please?
Maelove Glowmaker
Drunk Elephant
Timeless 20%

Naturium Vitamin C Serum
I've done videos on them all.
Which was your favorite?
I need a vitamin C serum and thinking of trying the Naturium one.
@laurajean7913 timeless was the most visually effective, but I prefer the texture of the naturium. Timeless is very watery so a bit tricky not to spill. I just wish the percentage of naturium was listed. Naturium is....lubricating? Lol. Felt really nice
@@skateata1 Thanks so much for this information!!!
I’ll take a ride to Target and give it a try!
Can you do a video on beef tallow in skincare
I have been using the Timeless Vitamin C for a couple years now. I don’t know if I should switch to another brand or not.
Has anyone tried [re]fresh? It does contain vitamin B + E + ferulic acid. Costco sells it for about $30. I'm using it and it doesn't seem to help. Thanks!
Got it
Helpful! Quick question, can I mix my vitamin c with sunscreen or should I apply each separately layered?
Do not mix, rather layer it separately!
Have you tried the Musely products Dr?
Does knyone know the percentage of Cetaphil?
Could you please explain why Naturium vit C is good because I don't see the percentage
Naturium is very mild, but it is good. It contains glutathione.
Which one is more tolerant to heat I don’t want to keep it in a fridge.
When I opened my Dr. Brenners Vit C the color was very dark amber. Does this mean it's bad? Shouldn't it be very light?
I think it should be light as he has spoken before about Amber colored retinol being old and not effective. You may be able to find one of his videos tapping about it.
Aloha! 🤙🏼
What about inkey list 15%?
I heard we have to let our vitamin c sit for at least 10 min before we layer anything else on. Is this true?
Nope, feel free to apply it and then keep going with your next step. You should wait 10 mins to apply makeup after your last step of sunscreen, though.
@ Thank you Jenna! Have a great holiday season!!!
I do let it absorb for 5 or so mins before moving on. If you have the time, why not.
Hi is it better to use vitamin c or hyaluronic acid? Which is better to reduce aging and what’s the difference between them?
He stated you could use both, using vitamin c before the hyaluronic acid. Vitamin c helps with brightening the skin and getting rid of dark spots while hyaluronic acid temporarily plumps up fine lines.
Any tips for dark under arms?
Dr. Dray does good videos on that.
Dr, you mentioned that you’re not sure if a vit Cin a form of wash is doing something but how about vit B in like most Cetaphil cleansers have?
❤
