Hi, Kelsey! That is so true... how many times did I said I would read my Bible or do something that would edify my faith and traded it for a "bowl of lentil stew"? Too many.😟 Answering your question, if God would follow me around phisically all day, I am sure I would work harder to keep my house cleaner, I would "find" time to read the Bible and pray, etc... And althought He doesn't follow us around phisically, many times we forget that He Is watching us and is with us 24/7. Thank you for those questions and for making us think about what is REALLY important: GOD. Have a blessed week!❤😘🙏
Yes! Not physically there but definitely watching. I love your "bowl of lentil stew" example, I am going to use that! It still happens to me...I need to do what you said and always remember God comes first!
Thank you for these pointed questions that really highlight what's going on in our hearts! I used to live for the world and that left me feeling suicidal. Now that I am actively working on dying to myself and following Christ, I have a lot more peace but do feel so much lonelier. Videos like this help with that loneliness as I work on finding friendships and community. ❤
🥰 You are not alone. I am currently trying to work on dying to myself as well! There are many times I feel lonely, too. ❤️ I want community too. I am currently chatting with my husband some ideas to make it more personal.
I thank the LORD OUR GOD for you sister I just found your channel and I love love the so needed content for more family in CHRIST JESUS AND TRULY THE LORD IS MAKING YOU STRONG AND COURAGEOUS FOR HIS GLORY🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I really needed this message today. Thank you for being obedient to Christ and helping lead us to do the same. This was a topic of discussion in our house this week that I'm always busy and need to slow down. The Lord is speaking to me through your video.
I just discovered your channel and I really do enjoy your content. I’m not a homemaker, but it’s comforting watching these videos and listening to you share Bible verses. God bless you.
Thank you so much for being obedient and allowing God to speak through you. I was deep in prayer last night, contending for Him to remove my earthly desires and solely follow His will, not my selfish pursuits. Then I found this video.
Thank you! This a wonderful teaching and encouragement on Christian homemaking. I am always learning... even at 73! Stumbled upon your channel a few weeks ago. Love it!
Thank you for this video! What a blessing to have someone work for the Lord through this community and ask those questions to make us realize where we are spending our time. This has truly blessed me and made me reevaluate my life and to but the focus on who truly matters.
Something that really helps me is before I start any priorities of the day I don’t allow my self to go on until I read the Bible. Today I sat down to make phone calls and do taxes and my mind immediately went to oh no, I haven’t read the word yet today let me do that first! I keep my Bible open or near by me which is a helpful reminder. I felt calmer and more equipped to handle the days tasks. I use to be a gal who had never read the Bible, struggled to even understand it. Now I have exercised a year of self discipline & it is fully ingrained in me to read daily. I need my medicine everyday 🙌 (The word) I also look at my day and all the things I have to do. If I have a long trip with my husband I’ll bring my Bible along and read on the way until he needs my help with something. Often breaking it up through out the day , I’m half way through the Bible now. My goal was to finish at the end of last year. Didn’t quite make it but I didn’t give up on my goal. 💜🙏 Jesus is our strength 🙌 love these videos. Very insightful.
Being an influencer in this capacity is serving God in ways others cannot. I pray you would focus on this as in your service to others when choosing if you need to say no when overwhelmed. You are reaching others outside of you community and we further your message to others. Be assured, your reach is growing. God bless this ministry.
Thank you for this. Although I don't want to be an "influencer", I do often wonder if I am actually helping people, and if I should keep going. I needed this. ❤️
Thank you for the amazing video. I did have one issue when you stated God gives us work as a result of fall. He gifted Adam with work before the fall to cultivate the earth, and personally, I believe it is important to view work as a blessing rather than a curse. Every task is an opportunity to glorify God and should be treated as such! I pray you have an amazing day!
Yes I agree! It is very much a curse and blessing in one. Many work jobs that are laborious, challenging, and heartbreaking. Yet, it allows us the opportunity to serve Him by serving others. 🥰
Thank you! I have been activly weeding out the things that God has shown me are not life giving. Love the verses about living with integrity in my home. But hadnt thought about the top priorities each day, and making sure they are eternally focused. Im learning as i watch biblical pod casts, read my bible, and pray daily.
So much beautiful passion and wisdom!! It is really beautiful, the verses that you spoke about clothing ourselves with the Lord's goodness. Hmm, strictly of this world that is a priority. I think lately, I have become a bit focused on my postpartum body and trying to get back in shape to what I have been for so long, even though I am still nursing. I have become a bit more consumed by vanity lately, that means. At the same time I have always been very into my health and having this "foreign" body feels unhealthy but I suppose it isn't since it is nourishing my baby. I make handmade pizzas every week for my family. It was neat to see how you were making yours with mushrooms and more. I need to make more than just cheese pizzas (I made a bbq and cheddar one though recently).
Ooo BBQ cheddar, that sound good. I don't get very creative 😆. Postpartum body is so hard. You don't feel yourself during pregnancy, and then don't feel yourself after. It's such a beautiful yet challenging thing. You are not alone. 💗
We are no longer required to tithe 10%. I was raised to believe this, & was not able to tithe 10% as a young mother & it grieved my heart& I felt unworthy of Gods love. HE has since shown me that I am not required by the scripture to do so. That was in the old testament times. It is wonderful to give what you can to the church, its function, & to help others, but it is not required by God. Please research this & the scriptures so that you & others are not being burdened by something that is no more required than bringing sacrifices of animals. Be blessed.
I never said it was required. I never said you had to tithe 10%, I gave an example. I also asked if "you" give what is leftover, even if it's $10. The purpose of what I'm saying is to have a self-examination on whether one is being selfish with their money.
@@faithfulacresfarmhouse I am just very sensitive to the 10% belief that some people believe & push on others. I struggled to feed my children at times, & believed God was punishing me for not tithing to the church 10% that I did not have to give. God also provided for me & my children but none the less we did struggle for years. I misunderstood what you were saying, but I don’t want any one to feel punished or unloved because they do not have 10%. I was raised in a Baptist church & was raised by many unscriptural beliefs that were passed down & were not scriptural. That is why it is so important to read the scriptures for yourself & not just take someone’s word for things. I enjoy your channel.
@@teresa28ist I come in peace to. It matters because after Jesus was crucified, he died for our sins & we are saved by grace. We are no longer held to the Torah or the old laws. We are forgiven & saved. The most important thing Christ requires of us is to love one another & help each other. Jesus does not want us to carry the burdens of trying to live under the old laws in the Old Testament any more. God Bless you.
Hey Kelsey! I’ve actually thought about this very thing recently and the past. I realized that I was spending so much time last year on my videos that I neglected some of the things my family and home need most to function properly, as well as my own health and rest. When I came to that realization towards the end of the year that’s when I kept having the same words “slow down” pop up in my head over and over again. Even my own husband has been telling me for years to slow down! I feel like I’m finally trying to do that and live for my family and taking care of myself I know is important to sustain our family in the right way. So this morning I decided to just have some relaxation time in order to get that rejuvenation I need to get to give me that energy to do the things I need to for my family ❤
And of course living for my family is exactly what God wants me to do to please him. I know I have some struggles as we all do. Wow that is such a great thing to think about…if God was physically walking around with us all day what would we do by knowing that? That is extremely profound, love that idea!
That's a great idea! I feel like I'm still in the fast pace lane...I'm starting to worry less about time lines, but still keep creating projects for myself. 🙈 What do you do for rest and relaxation, I'm not good with that at all. 😬 Yes and I would do so many things differently if He was physically walking around with us, even though He technically is..
@westmanacademy Oh, I haven't completely left the fast lane yet! I'm still trying to figure out how to get to the slow lane but keep certain things going. I also tend to add things to my plate as well. I love taking baths with relaxing music and candles or low lights (cliché haha! But it works to calm me down). Sometimes, when I get the chance to, I sit down and watch something. Drinking tea after the kids are in bed is also relaxing 😌 There's so many things we can all do to calm down and relax.
Hmmm 🤔 I probably spoke incorrectly, you wouldn't. 🫠 I had kids running around me during this voiceover, so I was probably confused. I will have to go back and relisten.
Social media specifically Facebook has been taking alot of time from me. Thinking about deleting it. If it takes away from time with God wouldn’t it be a good idea to delete it.
