Thank you so much for this! I am a fair skinned light shaded redhead. My eyelashes and eyebrows are so light you really can’t see them. I struggle with eczema and it gets especially bad around my eyes. I cannot wear make up including mascara. I’ve been struggling with that, feeling I look washed out and dull. I have been feeling embarrassed. Recently, on a Sunday morning getting ready for church, I was so discouraged and my husband said- “just be yourself”. I appreciate this video and the reminder that we are created by God. He designed us exactly this way. Thank you for allowing God to use you to remind me of this truth. I am grateful God has lead me to your channel. You have so much wisdom in this video. Thank you! I recently ordered your bible study Psalms for the suffering. It is arriving on Monday and I am really looking forward to it.
I’m so sick of nowadays mothers and how they show their perfect and aesthetic life , I’m trying to push myself away from them Now and focusing on Normal Life like old fashioned style even with kids I feel bad for them now they really need to be connected with their parents , I’m so glad I found this channel ❤
Hello, thank you for sharing!! I firstcwant to say that I'm stealing your early am quiet time with God and your husband idea. I can see it as a way to anchor the day in God and draw strength. To be honest I've been watching for your video this week, I know my motivation to serve has been misaligned lately. I keep craving appreciation from my husband. Thank you for the reminder that we serve to glorify God. C
Thank you for sharing your life with us. I was just reading Psalm 139 to my two teens this morning. I love reading The Passion Translation. Ps. 139:14 says: I thank you God, for making me so mysteriously complex. Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it. How thoroughly you know me Lord !!..I love this and I though about this verse all day as I was busy about my day...God bless you and your family dear Kelsey..I appreciate your transparency...Sherri-Idaho
Sherri, may I humbly suggest looking into the validity of the Passion translation. Pastor Mike Winger here on TH-cam has some great info on it. I commend your reading but I think we need to be very discerning regarding this translation. Blessings from a sister in Christ.
I'm here to echo what Julie said about passion translation. It is very problematic and well established that this translation is not authentic to the original scriptures or translation methods which are very carefully done by professionals. Basically it is not a translation but a man adding to the word of God which is an offense to God. With love, do not let yourself be deceived dear friend 🙏
When i tell you last night i was just so overwhelmed with being a mom a wife just everything you said....i thank you for those words of encouragement. I wrote it down so i can always remember. Thank you
I have been struggling with my Christian journey and finding your channel is filling my soul. I love your morning with your husband I pray my husband will be open to restarting our Bible time together. Thank you for saying it's OK to not want to do things. I feel like a failure most of the time because I work full time from home, homeschool and do all the homemaking as it is my true purpose. It's so hard but watching your channel is helping me cope and raise up my struggles. Your a blessing.
I will pray for you and that your husband is receptive. You are doing great things. It's so hard when there feels like a million things that must be done. Keep praying, you got this!
Thank you for uploading these wonderful videos. I am not Catholic but I see the light of Jesus and hear the conviction the Holy Spirit in you. You are an inspiration for me.
Yay! I love these longer videos Kelsey! It’s so fun to watch other mama’s days as I do my homemaking as well. My husband and I do Bible study at separate times (I wake up before the kids to do mine, he does it at night)and I’ve never thought to do it together, we’ll have to give this a try.
I’m a working mum but my heart is at home. Been tried from work but As soon as I watched this video I was immediately encouraged and got up and got going at home with our night time routine - it was such a relaxing night it was last night after it. ♥️♥️
Thank you for sharing your routine with us it was helpful to hear how early you start your day I think we all struggle to fit everything into our daily routine and especially as we age and have health issues which make us slower I would love to hear more from you on this if you have a wisdom to share with us many thanks and blessings 😊
Kelsey, I enjoyed this video a lot! I am surprised you are able to sleep in long sleeves! I never have been able to! You get up around the same time I do too. I have always been a 5:30 at the latest waker-upper, 5 at the earliest (since I was seven). I love how I have so much I can do in that time too. My husband wakes at 5:15. My husband's best friend from high school is a Catholic priest. He always took his faith very seriously and we used to have Bible studies with him, even though we were raised in Protestant denominations. Oh wow, it was neat to find out what you used to do as a job. So interesting! My hair is usually always down unless I am sweaty or working out, and I am thankful I can tie my hair in a knot without hair ties into a bun that stays put. Sorry about the celiac issue in your daughter. It is good you know about it while she is young. I have two cousins who have it and didn't know until they were adults. I thought for a while I had it but got tested and don't. I love bread haha. Love watching you teach and train your children. It makes me miss homeschooling my older kids so much and looking forward to homeschooling once again for my baby.
Thank You for sharing your videos. I have 3 boys, ages 6 and under. I am also homeschooling. Would you share your homeschooling curriculum, especially the ascension press?
Trent Horn & Joe Heschmeyer were HUGE influences for me deciding to convert from Calvinism to Catholicism this last Easter. I absolutely love them and am so happy to hear you and your husband enjoyed Trent and Jimmy's debate with the Protestants. I thought it was great, too! :) Also, this is random, but you have literally the perfect nose. lol! I have admired it in each of your videos. You are beautiful inside and out!
Haha that's so funny because my nose has always been an insecurity for me. Thank you! I have been on a roll listening to them and debates. Somehow, I never knew they existed! I need to listen to Joe, too. What great news! How exciting that you have joined the Church ❤️ I have learned so much from debates (from both sides) I never thought about.
@@faithfulacresfarmhouse Joe is my favorite. He is the host of Shameless Popery! ❤ What they all do is SO important to the Church. I am so grateful for them and all the staff at Catholic Answers!
Thank you for your honesty and encouragement. Could you please tell a bit more about your social life? I mean, do you have some kind of regular meetings with friends or coffee time with your parents?
Sadly, I do not live near my parents or grandparents. 😔 We are part of a mom group that meets weekly, however, it's on my husband's day off, so I don't get to it as much as I'd like. We live down the road from homeschooling friends who have girls the same ages as ours. They were just over today for a tea party. We have a few other friends in the area, but we have only lived here less than a year so we aren't plugged in too much.
Thank you again, Kelsey! Also, could you please share a link with where you got your large blue Dutch oven? My newly married daughter would really enjoy one of those! 😁

I know I commented before on this...but...no wolf today? LOL, Pongo the Dalmation instead, putting out fires. LOVE IT. seriously, tho. This is how I played with my kids (& Yes, I didn't always feel like it, but I did it) and I still make the effort to play with other people's kids like this. I get right down on the floor & roll around or pretend I am a farmer, horse, bear, policeman, etc. It is pretty sad, because I don't see many parents/grandparents actually PLAY with their kids like this. I was lucky. I made my mom a young grandma, she was 42 & not done raising kids yet. She would always play with my daughters like this. I have fond memories of her letting my kids take a bath & she would wrap them in a towel & then 'fly' them around her house pretending they were butterflies. They would literally beg for her to do this every time we were there. There are several young women that I interact with & NONE of their parents really play with their grandkids. Most just sit on their phones, scrolling or talk to the kids from across the room. My kids' other grandmother would shoo my kids away whenever they asked her to play or read a book. She would literally say, "Go on brat, I'm talking to your mother. Go play with the toys in the bedroom." or "I can't get down on the floor to do that puzzle/game with you, I'm old." So they stopped asking to go there & now they have no relationship with her - completely estranged. Your kids will always remember this stuff! dishes will always need to be washed, laundry folded, gardens weeded, but they are only little for a very short time......
What a beautiful reminder. And what fond memories you and your children have with your mother. Yes, phones have been a big distraction for most of us with interacting with our children, but I have noticed my parents' generation really being attached to their phone. Haha and yes no wolf in that game, but definitely in most. They go through stretches, and we are on a 101 Dalmatians stretch. This is a good reminder for me to put a pause on the household and garden chores, and really focus on my kids.
@@faithfulacresfarmhouse I have never, nor do I intend on, ever having a cell phone. I actually told my husband that I would run it over with my car if he forced me to have one (he actually kept trying to buy me one Lol). It sometimes complicates my life in relation to others' nowadays (as they can't just txt me & pick up orders during covid were a fun exercise lol) but I know in my heart that my kids will never say "mom, you paid more attention to your phone, than you did us." That would be too heavy of an indictment for me to bear. I have actually witnessed parents say to their kids that they could not talk to them cuz they were 'too busy'. As I looked over, I saw that they were 'too busy'...playing minecraft, for goodness sakes!!! I want to be present. I actually even try to limit my computer time when they are in the room with me. And this is not to say that every minute of my attention was laser focused on my kids - I trained them to do a fair amount of self entertainment, as I always had a huge workload. But when we were doing things together, I was THERE. And they pull random memories out of the blue. My daughter just said yesterday, "mom, remember when you used to walk everyday with me in the stroller & we would look at the birds in the apple trees. Those were my favorite days." She was 2 years old when we did that! She is now 17!!!! You will be surprised at what they remember.
1. Whisk 3/4 cup water + 1tsp sugar + 2.5 tsp yeast. 2. Add 1 egg and 1 egg white to bowl and whisk. 3. Add 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 cup oil, and 3 tbsp sugar to egg mixture. 4. Pour in yeast and mix. 5. Add flour starting at 2.5 cups and working up towards 3.5. Mix until sticky but not to where dough comes off on your fingers. 6. Allow an hour to two for bulk rise. 7. Reshape and let rise in banneton basket or bowl. 8. Preheat over to 425 with dutch over. Flip over dough onto parchment paper, score, and bake for 25 minutes. I did 2.5 cups unbleached all purpose and 1 cup whole wheat.
I used to all the time. I actually have a whole tote filled with different items, but I haven't gotten them out since we moved. This is a good reminder for me!
Any recommendations for simple skincare? I’m 31, have always had acne. Can’t use fragrance or things with niacinamide or hyalauronic acid. Tried tallow and it broke me out so bad. I just want a simple wash and moisturizer as I age. I’m breastfeeding still too and get dry patches. Thanks to any suggestions!
