I have decided this year to add scripture to my donated baby hats. I am also one that struggles with focus and staying on task. Thank you for encouraging this older woman in her walk with Jesus.
Thank you for sharing your Catholicism! I was so happy when I realized you were Catholic also (based on your bibles) I love these videos and look forward to them. I am also preparing to bake some sourdough off while I watch this and my second son has a sensory processing disorder as well. 😅
New follower here! I have that same book Highly Sensitive Child, I got it a few years ago for the same reasons you’ve mentioned. Loved seeing your bibles ❤ Greetings from a homeschool Catholic mama in Texas!
New subscriber! Your videos are truly life giving. I grew up with a mom who was a homemaker and have always seen the dedication, focus and strength it takes to take on that role. It is inspiring to see God convicting woman of this worthy profession. God bless you for giving your light to the world ❤
Love your videos. I’ve been binge watching and passing them on to my woman’s bible study. I pray my rosary everyday. I love that prayer and I love our Blessed Mother!!
What a powerful message you don’t hear much about with sacrifice for you family. I have done the same of letting go of my coaching business and focusing more on my family. It was hard but God lead me to understand that it will need to be my only priority right now. It has been a blessing and I am 1 year into it
New Subscriber as of today. Love this video with the snow coming down. But more importantly is that you are caring for your family and teaching others. It’s a great plus that you’re Catholic! 🙂
Thank you Kelsey, watching your videos weekly always gives me the boost I need after a long and tiring week! You always help remind me to find my purpose as a Christian momma and wife. Have a blessed week.
Thank you for this lovely video, grateful for your encouragement. I love how you touched on the rosary and it was so awesome to see your seven sorrows rosary as well! God bless!
Yes! I bought one after you mentioned that. My goal is to do one daily. I kid you not, I feel my mind protected and guarded, and my body renewed with joy. ❤️ I truly believe praying it is the reason. Thank you 🥰
Wow! That’s absolutely beautiful, thanks be to God! You are most welcome, thank you, Holy Spirit! I’m so glad to hear this, Kelsey! It’s one of my favorite devotions..and has been so life changing for me and my family. If you’re ever in need of more and/or for others please don’t hesitate to reach out!
I’m brand new to your channel and I just wanted to say thank you. I really needed this encouragement today. I’m a momma of 4 and sometimes life just knocks you on your bottom. My husband was diagnosed with cancer in June last year this time has been hard on our family but God is so good and so faithful through all of this. Godly home making is hard but I’m so thankful God is allowing me to do this and now taking even more care of my husband. I’m thankful for every single new day God gives me❤️🙏🫂 God bless you!
Praying for your family. I'm so sorry you, your husband, and your family have been going through this. I can't even imagine. Motherhood knocks you on your bottom for sure! You are doing wonderful and incredible things. ❤️ You have an inspiringly beautiful outlook. ❤️
Thank you Kelsey for walking with us! I love you God is leading so many of us on a similar path- going back to the old ways (bread, fermenting, homeschooling, homemaking, Bible in a Year etc)!!!! I would love a video on where we can buy modest, natural fiber dresses, skirts, loose pants and how to wear them in -30 degrees! Such a struggle 😅 Viva Cristo Rey from a fellow Catholic Mama of 7!
Yay! I love it too! I have been on the hunt for better fabric dresses. The ones I have from Amazon work well because they are breastfeeding friendly, but I would prefer to find better quality dresses and skirts. I tend to just wear tights with mine, but I don't leave super often. I will be on the hunt, let me know if you find some good ones too!
I really really want to be a servant but selfishness keeps getting in the way. Please pray for me so I can die to myself and put others first, especially my husband and to do it joyfully!

Thank you for sharing beautiful Scriptures, and you described everything from Homemaking to our faith really well! I love what you said about Mary gently guiding us to Jesus! Yes! We can learn so much from her! Thank you for all your kind words, full of Spirit, love, and joy. Your family is blessed to have you!
Thank you so much for this encouragement. It gets your eyes on the eternal and what is so so important. I loved the idea of a Bible to pass to each child. I will be doing this too. Thank you!
I used to have loads of notebooks filled with notes from my Bible reading, but it became cluttery. I realized that I never looked back on the notes. When I decided to declutter them, I looked through them and it was fun, but I think the biggest point for me in doing it, was so I could ponder things WHILE writing them. It helped sort my thoughts. I also had a few notebooks from my teen through twenties of me taking notes on sermons too. I still take notes while reading, but not during sermons. Thanks for the encouraging words today Kelsey!!
This is a really good point! I found I was doing this when I would copy down Scriptures on notecards. Now I have notecards everywhere and I only look at two. I try to categorize verses if they fit, just to reference easily. Otherwise, I just clutter too. I bet it is interesting looking back at old notebooks!
So beautiful with the snow! I’ve been brainstorming ideas on what I can do to make my own Bible study basket or drawer, my nightstand is overflowing at the moment. Oh my I think that’s my son too. He is 4 and already showing signs of high intelligence and he loves talking to everyone. But some loud noises make him scream and if he doesn’t get his way. I’m a highly sensitive person too, always have been. I scream from sudden loud noises and I tend to get emotional really fast. Oh that is a beautiful quote from Sally Clarkson, I love that! I was reading the Rainbow Fish to my daughter last night and had a realization that it has a beautiful Biblical feel to the story since it’s about the fish giving away his scales and learning that creates happiness inside himself to make others happy ❤ I am slowing down this year and I’m trying not to worry if I end up missing a week or so here and there posting videos. I’m just going to focus more on doing them for fun and be creative 😊 This video has left me feeling so inspired Kelsey!
I am also a highly sensitive person! I don't have the same sensory issues (well I have one) as much son, but everyone kept telling me he has autism. I'm glad there are other highly sensitive people out there! I love the Rainbow fish. I have never thought of it in a Biblical sense. I love that! I also am with you on the videos. I am not worrying so much about getting them out and hurrying through them. I want them to be meaningful and thought out....granted, this last video was thrown together because my suffering one for next week is not close to done.....but I don't have all the stress and anxiety lingering if I don't have it up within 7 days. Keep being creative!
Hi, Kelsey! I love learning more about our roles as christian homemakers and I learned a LOT from your video. Thank you!🥰 The Bible shows us so many types of homemakers on the gentiles and jewish sides. You have homemakers like the Proverbs 31 woman, that had servants and fields and you have homemakers like the widow in the desert, like Mary or Elizabeth (Maria and Isabel in Portuguese☺) that lived very simple lives and didn't have servants and every of them were blessed by God.🤗 Like you said, all of them had their struggles and sins, but their hearts were in God. I don't know if you do this, but I compare the servants of the Proverbs 31 woman to our washing machines, refrigerator, oven, microwave, stove, etc!😁 They are our modern helpers! We don't have children, but leaving my work and becoming a full time homemaker was the best thing I did, because this way I can tend to the house work, read and study books that will make me grow spiritually, make nutritious meals from scratch and I can give more attention to my husband. One think I know I have to work on is hospitality and giving more. In James 2:15-16 says "Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?" and in James 2:26 "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." Thank you again for the reminder that we have to do what God tells us to do and stop comparing our lives to other peoples lives. That is a complete waste of time, isn't it? And just to finish, that bread and cinnamon rolls look delicious! My mouth is watering and if Portugal wasn't so far from the States, I would definitely knock on your door to have some with a cup of coffee!😄❤
If you ever find yourself in the United States come on over! It sounds like I need to go to your house with all the scratch made food and reading time. 🥰 What beautiful and convicting verses from James. It is so true! I'm not the best at inviting others over who aren't friends. I need to improve in that as well. I can imagine how wonderful your home is, and I know the Spirit and love radiates through you throughout your home!
Hi Kelsey! I absolutely loved all of your points in this video. I have been asking God for a sense of clarity when it came to my own calling as a homemaker and your video was an answered prayer. ❤ I just want to say thank you for all that you do. You are a blessing.
If your daughter has Celiac, your son could too. I heard a neurologist say that very young children can be diagnosed with attention deficit disorder or autism when it is in actuality caused by the neurological affects of Celiac. I have had Celiac for several years, but just found out not too long ago that the latest research shows a lot of neurological changes and symptoms that affect the brain with Celiac, even when not having an attack. It can cause so many other symptoms besides bouts of diarrhea, stomach pain, seizures, headaches, etc. In our home, we make it a gluten free zone. This is the safest but more inconvenient way to protect family members who have Celiac.
She is adopted, but I have heard it is genetic. I have not heard about Celiac causing neurological issues until today. I'm going to look into it more. Thanks for sharing! We have her stuff on the other side of the aisle stored and her own KitchenAid, but we may make the small kitchen in our addition strictly gluten free.
Did you know that they are doing studies to see the connection between Teflon & Celiac's? Seems there is a correlation, especially as the Teflon gets worn. & I never knew, until reading up on that, that the 'flon' in Teflon stands for fluoride & I do NOT want any flouride ANYTHING in my diet/home. I threw away every teflon thing I had over time (as I could replace it $$wise) Seems that homes that have an over usage of teflon, as it became popular & affordable, had increase in onset of Celiac's. Just 'food for thought', no pun intended😁 So maybe even avoiding gluten might not help, if you are using Teflon cookware. I don't have Celiac's but I have another undiagnosable digestive disorder that started to bother me after I developed severe anxiety & panic attacks - 20 years ago. I no longer suffer from the panic attacks or much anxiety, but the gut issues have lingered. I have had every kind of test out there & they can NOT figure out what is wrong with me. I would have weeks of terrible gut pains, diarrhea (I just spent the last 3 days living next to the bathroom), bloating, & severe exhaustion at the end of one of these bouts. I threw away ALL the Teflon & switched to Cast Iron or Stainless steel & mostly it has resolved itself. Where as I was having episodes of this nature 1x a week, now it is like 1x every 3 months. (this last week I drank something I knew, in hindsight, that I should not have). there are certain things that I need to avoid, like coffeemate creamer - whatever junk is in that stuff, it just about literally kills me.
It's called the "Willow Tree Tenderness Journal". It was gifted to me. It looks like it is discontinued but being sold for a heafty price. amzn.to/4bhoBJJ (this is an affiliates link). Hi, i just subscribed recently to your channel, i love it 🤗 you have the most wonderful topics for your videos, you bring the points together with Scripture and watching you get your responsibilities done at home is fun for me. The life you have as a wife and mother is precious, such a blessing and i pray that our Father may one day bless me with the same beautiful blessed life that you have. 🙏💝🙏💝 Thank you for your videos
Thank you! I pray God blesses you abundantly. I will say that we did struggle with infertility, our marriage has had many ups and downs, and we now have this house now after 9 years of marriage. Very very blessed, however, I never want to come off as though I have it all. But I do know that God absolutely knows our hearts and desires. It is all in His timing 🥰 thank you for the sweet comment.
I would recommend the Ignatius Study Bible over Barron’s bible. I have both and the Ignatius one is much better. There is also a Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs by David Bercoit. It covers the writings of the Church Fathers really well.
Okay I actually have the Ignatius Bible, but it doesn't appear to have anything extra or "study" like in it? Is there a link to the one you're talking about?
@@faithfulacresfarmhouse I think as a condiment or as a part of a salad. Kind of like you would sauerkraut. It won't hurt anything to cook them , you just won't get the benefits of the good gut bacteria from the fermentation process.
I made the cinnamon rolls but I am so ashamed of the turnout. 😅 They weren’t great but I did mess up the recipe….like a lot. I’ll try again when I actually have all the ingredients lol.
Oh no! For some reason it took me probably 4 tries before having successful cinnamon rolls 😆. Also don't pour as much heavy cream as I did...I was a touch heavy handed trying to make sure it was in the camera. No pun intended 🤪 You got this! I also didn't really explain what I was doing, so that doesn't help.
Hello Kelsey. I have one question: how do you develop humility and suppress pride? For you are a model for me of a wonderful wife and mother, and at the same time a humble woman 😌
Thank you, this is very sweet. I can't say I'm always humble and never prideful, though. I think a lot of it is that pride hasn't been the area of struggle for me personally. (But I struggle in many other areas for sure). I believe that as I have been trying to live like Jesus and grow in a relationship with Him, He has slowly changed me from the inside out. There are also a lot of Bible verses convicting on pride. www.openbible.info/topics/humility They are very enlightening!
Under our apostle Paul’s ministry, to be SAVED, you must BELIEVE/TRUST The Gospel of Jesus Christ,1 st Corinthians Chapter 15 verses 1-4.Jesus Christ died on the cross for all of your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day.Jesus Christ’s Shed Blood is what saves you when you Believe this plan of salvation with your heart.Romans 3:25” Faith in His Blood”.
I am trying to download the free meal plan and it keeps saying that I am required to put my email, but I already put my email. I do not know how to access it.
Out of curiosity, would you say that you are Catholic or Christian if someone were to ask? I’m only asking because when I was growing up, everyone that I knew that was Catholic would say they are Catholic. Vs now it seems most Catholic people say they are Christian. Growing up as a Christian, non denominational, my Catholic friends always made it clear that they are Catholic and not Christian, to distinguish between those that don’t follow a denomination. We know generally any followers of Christ are Christian, but I’m hearing more and more who are part of a denomination, not claiming that as their religion. Curious to know your thoughts. By the way, I enjoy your videos, I find them encouraging and inspiring.
That makes sense. All Catholics are Christians (if they follow the actual practices and beliefs), but not all Christians are Catholics! I think it isn't as much wanting to separate from being Christian or other Christians, more just sharing the denomination. If that makes sense? I think a lot of nondenominational members also just refer to themselves as Christians (which is true), but maybe some Catholics take that as that person's "denomination" so Catholics then share their denomination. Hopefully that makes sense! It is a good question. I guess I just always assume people aren't really asking if I'm Christian more what my denomination is.
What a beautiful definition of'homemaking' you present ...it is true that ,overhere in Europe (belgium) people are more private and live their life behind their front door ..still as a catholic woman ,a lot can be done if we see the possibilities the Lord gives us ! You have a beautiful rosary too ..and it is as you said : we talk to Mary ,we ask her to pray for us just as we ask our fellow sisters and brothers in Christ ! A big misconception made by many of all those other ' denominations ' ! Peace and blessings ❤️🙏🕊❤️🇧🇪
Ephesians 2:8-9 8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God; 9it is not from works, so no one may boast. 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; John 5:24 24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent me HAS eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
Don’t make fun of single parents. You are more blessed than you know having a husband that cares. It’s better that a child was brought into the world rather than aborted.
I think your video has a great message in general, but I disagree with you lumping in infertility as a result of “sin”. Infertility is a heartbreaking thing to go through and usually isn’t related to any type of “sin” the woman committed. You saying it is can be very hurtful and inaccurate. We needlessly blame ourselves enough without being told by ignorant others that we did this to ourselves. Can STDs cause infertility? Yes, but it’s actually not one of the main causes.
I have suffered through years of infertility. I understand the pain. After the fall with Adam and Eve, everything was affected by sin. Infertility isn't caused by your sin specifically, or my sin specifically, but because our world is broken by sin in general. Suffering, depression, illness, etc. all due to the fall. I'm so sorry if you are struggling with infertility. It is a heartbreaking experience. I will pray for you and anyone who is trying for children. ❤️
If you read the Old Testament, they DID associate sin with infertility. but because they did not understand the science of the human reproductive system. A woman being barren was accepted as sin caused by the father. Also, they associated sin with blindness, leprosy, lameness....the blind man by the temple pool ...the question is whether he sinned, the parents sinned???? But even us dying is due to the fact of Adam & Eve's sin & being cast out of the Garden of Eden. so death, of any one of any age, is associated with sin. I don't think she is meaning you actually sinning caused infertility. There was nothing ignorant in her statement.
You can’t talk to Mary. She is dead and waiting for Jesus to resurrect her! Please read your Bible and ask God for understanding. I pray you put aside the rosary cause it is not Biblical or of Christ ❤️❤️❤️
I disagree. The Rosary can do so many beautiful things. I actually was reading Hebrews chapter 12, and was reminded, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses..." surrounded by the rest of the body of Christ who died. 🥰 Also Hebrews 12:22-24, explaining all who we "HAVE COME TO" not will come to. But he explains that we have come to the city of the living God, innumerable angels, assembly of the first born who are enrolled in heaven, God, the spirits of men made perfect, and Jesus. We are all one body of Christ, not separated. I also encourage you to read Revelation 12:1-6. Mary is crowned with the sun and moon under her feet. When Jesus told John, "behold your mother" He was talking to us to. She is the mother of heaven and earth. God didn't just choose anyone to be Jesus's mother, she was HAND PICKED and created by God HIMSELF to birth and care for HIS SON! Mary is special, and anyone who doesn't believe she is any different from any one of us is just prideful.
So Catholics actually do pray to Mary. Prayer is simply talking/asking etc. Catholics do not WORSHIP Mary. Sweet Mary is not some sort of goddess she's human just like all of us! But we do pray to her because that's the word we use when we talk about communicating with those in heaven. This goes for the saints as well- we do pray to saints. Jesus prayed to saints in the Bible- at the transfiguration he converses with Moses and Elijah! 😊 Words do matter and making correct distinctions is important when it comes to matters of faith. We do not worship Mary, we do pray to her. I don't mean to criticize you or anything I just wanted to make that distinction!
I have decided this year to add scripture to my donated baby hats. I am also one that struggles with focus and staying on task. Thank you for encouraging this older woman in her walk with Jesus.
That is so beautiful ❤️ what a blessing!
That is a wonderful idea!

You have homemakers like the Proverbs 31 woman, that had servants and fields and you have homemakers like the widow in the desert, like Mary or Elizabeth (Maria and Isabel in Portuguese☺) that lived very simple lives and didn't have servants and every of them were blessed by God.🤗
Like you said, all of them had their struggles and sins, but their hearts were in God.
If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it?" and in James 2:26 "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead."
Thank you again for the reminder that we have to do what God tells us to do and stop comparing our lives to other peoples lives.
I love this!!
My husband has the adventure bible by ascension and I have an Ignatius bible bc I like the rich history and okd writing 😅
❤❤❤ we have been wanting to do the same thing with my Bibles
This was so good!! ❤
Hi Kelsey! I absolutely loved all of your points in this video. I have been asking God for a sense of clarity when it came to my own calling as a homemaker and your video was an answered prayer. ❤ I just want to say thank you for all that you do. You are a blessing.
Aww, that is lovely.
This was a beautiful video. I really needed this today! Just subbed ❤️
Where did you find the journal with the mother and child on it? It’s so sweet! ❤
It's called the "Willow Tree Tenderness Journal". It was gifted to me. It looks like it is discontinued but being sold for a heafty price. amzn.to/4bhoBJJ (this is an affiliates link). I have been trying to search other places besides Amazon. There is this one from eBay for cheaper! www.ebay.com/itm/234756014966 (not affiliated). Maybe when you search you can find one more reasonable.
Subscribed 🙌🏼🫶🏼 !
I have that orange dress! I have 2 actually-wore the first one out. Found them both thrifted!
Yes! Awesome! I have it in 4 colors...I wish I could find it thrifted.
Can I ask where to buy it? ❤
I would recommend the Ignatius Study Bible over Barron’s bible. I have both and the Ignatius one is much better. There is also a Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs by David Bercoit. It covers the writings of the Church Fathers really well.
I will look into it! Thank you! 😊 I'm slowly hoarding Bibles.
I love reading bibles, ill check out this Ignatius bible you suggested. ❤
I'm excited for the Augustine Institute Bible!
I will look into that as well! Why have I not heard of these Bibles?!@@kadiechristiansen2369
Okay I actually have the Ignatius Bible, but it doesn't appear to have anything extra or "study" like in it? Is there a link to the one you're talking about?
I love these videos where you share your faith. Just an aside, cooking your fermented vegetables in a soup will kill off the beneficial bacteria.
Hmm, yeah, I didn't think about that. What's the best way to eat them then? Can they be sauted?
@@faithfulacresfarmhouse I think as a condiment or as a part of a salad. Kind of like you would sauerkraut. It won't hurt anything to cook them , you just won't get the benefits of the good gut bacteria from the fermentation process.
Wow, those cinnamon rolls look so delicious!
This is the second time i have seen someone pour cream over cinnamon rolls... i never knew that. 😊
@faithfulacresfarmhouse where do I find the recipe?
@@faithfulacresfarmhouse thanks a lot!
What was the book for children with sensory issues not on the spectrum? I missed it!
The Highly Sensitve Child. She has a book and quiz for adults and children who are highly sensitive.
But saints and Mary are dead
Are we supposed to talk to them???
I am trying to understand i grew up Catholic but thats something that makes me wonder
What is the name of the book you recommended for the sensitive child? I keep missing it 😅
The Highly Sensitive Child!
@@faithfulacresfarmhouse thank you!
I am trying to download the free meal plan and it keeps saying that I am required to put my email, but I already put my email. I do not know how to access it.
Email me at kelsey@westmanacademyhomeschool.com and I'll send it over! Sorry it's not working.
Do you have an email? Id love to send you my family's conversion story! It involves Mary and the Holy Eucharist.
Kelsey@westmanacademyhomeschool.com I would love to hear it!
Ephesians 2:8-9
8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God; 9it is not from works, so no one may boast.
1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
John 5:24
24 “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent me HAS eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.
Don’t make fun of single parents. You are more blessed than you know having a husband that cares. It’s better that a child was brought into the world rather than aborted.
Awe, you practice Catholicism, me too :)
With all due respect, I believe you are incorrect regarding prayer to Mary and the Saints.
Can you elaborate more please.
@@faithfulacresfarmhouse thank you for that eloquent explanation. That makes much more sense. Also, thank you for your prayers.
Words do matter and making correct distinctions is important when it comes to matters of faith. We do not worship Mary, we do pray to her.
I don't mean to criticize you or anything I just wanted to make that distinction!
Yes! Thank you for clarifying. In my mind I was thinking "We don't pray to Mary as if she was God." Thanks for explaining!
Not to be critical yet Jesus did not pray to saints. He is part of the trinity. He is the Son of God, he would not. pray to saints. 😊
