    Looks a little more stable for sure. Still a little bouncy, though.
    Might be worth reducing the preload or using thicker oil. It's hard to know until you try it. Stiffer suspension typically reduces roll but not always. Sometimes if it's TOO firm, the car will flip rather than just transferring weight and too much preload can mean there's a harsh transition between the suspension not yielding and then suddenly compressing and that harsh transition can lead to rolling more easily.
    I have some vehicles that can actually corner faster without flipping when the suspension is soft and the whole rig leans over like a listing ship lol.
    Might be worth trying anyway, you have the shocks now so experimenting with the tuning is the cheap and easy part now!
    Either way, simply adding these new shocks alone has definitely made it better. Solid axle stuff is always going to be more prone to tipping but you can really blast that thing now and it isn't ending up on the roof as much.

    • @AdventureTimeRC
      @AdventureTimeRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much i have been experimenting allot i have a dual shock setup on the rear now with thicker oil its really starting to drive nice i appreciate your watching and great comment hope you have a wonderful day

    Well, that was definitely worth doing - Horizon Hobbies take note! 120mm up front and 130mm at the rear would be perfect.

  • @ShenRC
    @ShenRC 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nice it looks much better.. As with my twin hammers I put the sway bar on the rear and it helped a lot I think if you can hook it up it will get even better. also don't know if you know this but I will let you know just in case you don't.. with shocks if you want to make them shorter you can use spacers or a section of rubber tubing on the shock shaft under the shock piston inside the body and it won't let the shock rod extend out as far and make them like smaller shocks. 👍

    • @AdventureTimeRC
      @AdventureTimeRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did not know that Steve thank you very much i was literally just thinking about taking the stock shocks and cutting off 20mm and re threading them this is much easier great idea

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@AdventureTimeRC Cool! I get hesitant letting guy's know stuff sometimes because if they already know about something they kind of get mad but it's better to share knowledge and see you did not know this now you do and can use it for most all shocks to adjust there size. glad it was helpful.

  • @BasBoyRC

      @@BasBoyRC yes it does wish they had them in the front to

  • @The_RC_Guru
    @The_RC_Guru 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    For that front there’s some cage surgery you can do for more axle up travel but you will be restricted to shorty packs. Aren’t the stock front shocks shorter than the rears? I would put some limiters in those fronts. For now on mine I limited all 4 internally with .7inch long nitro fuel tubing and have a sway bar on. There’s a $12 Amazon sway kit that comes with the bushings and links already. You just need to put a single tra5525 rod end on one side of each link and source a 3mm rod because you’ll need a wider torsion bar. I used brazing rod. Cut to the proper width and file a flat spot on each end. Nice video

    • @The_RC_Guru
      @The_RC_Guru 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’ll love how much more manageable it is with a sway bar.

    • @MrDan1713
      @MrDan1713 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1/8” music wire makes a great torsion bar since it is spring steel.

    • @AdventureTimeRC
      @AdventureTimeRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much i ended up using fuel tubing and putting all four stock shocks in the rear one set without springs it drives really good now but i did break a link end in a hard hit lol

    • @The_RC_Guru
      @The_RC_Guru 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AdventureTimeRC remember when you run double shocks like that to halve the oil weight. Stocks 30wt so running 4 on the rear you’d want 15wt in all 4 rear.

  • @jasonanderson7020
    @jasonanderson7020 ปีที่แล้ว +1

  • @MrDan1713

      @@AdventureTimeRC I just swapped my front Ryft shocks to the back. I did have to swap the hollow balls to make the front shocks fit in the rear mounts. I put the 120mm shocks you used in the front with 60wt oil in them. Also here is a link to an anti sway bar test I did.
