Thanks so much for sharing good detailed information about the Ryft. I have been collecting parts to put one together. I attempted to make a monster truck out of the parts I have so far but it's not very controllable. It was fun trying. Eventually I'll get a cage and see if I can get everything setup proper. Great job on your build. It really does well as a crawler. It's just an all around great RC.
I’m new to RC and bought a TRX4m for my first and I’m already changing a lot but still leaves me wanting more than I think it’s capable of. I really want a Capra but now I just discovered the Ryft. So now I’m wondering which would be better. The Capra seems like more of a slow rock crawler where this is more of a rock racer but this shows it could be modified to do both so idk which to go with.
Depends, if you’re looking for a great crawler, get the Capra. The Ryft can do both rock race and crawl but the Capra can still beat it on tough rock sections.
Thank you so much for this, I think my Ryft is awesome yet mainly find videos of people either not using it for what it’s designed for, which I think it’s really good at or failed crawler conversions, which seems to have led to it getting a bad name, which I don’t think it deserves 🤙🤙
Amazing video! I was wondering if you would be interested in being commissioned to build a similar model for me. I’m new to the rock crawling scene but absolutely love this build. After seeing your videos it seems like you have a ton of experience building/tuning the platform. If you’re interested, please reach out and we can discuss the details!
I like my ryft hard to drive on 4S but really good fun. It does have a HW 3665 sensored. It does crawl but still too fast even in low with 12t pinion😅 Looks like yours is a little more manageable than mine... I've got an LCG Meus 1/10 chassis with custom everything. Capra axles, 4ws, Overdrive, fusion se 1800 it does really good! Next build is VRD Carbon this thing is too good to skip👌 I like how you've done this video i've subscribe!
Cool, thanks! I have a mostly stock Ryft too that’s still crazy fast, this crawler version is completely different but both are incredibly fun to drive. I just built a VRD carbon, you’re gonna love it. You’ll prob see more of it on the channel soon
Where did you get your transmission, underdrive gears and high clearance links? My Custom Jeep CJ-7 Ryft Build needs all these next 😊 it's got everything else and some now 👍 yours is so very capable we should crawl together someday 😊
The trans is a 3 gear off Amazon, the $60 one. Underdrive gears are Incision I believe and the links were made by Center Of Gravity RC, they have a facebook page.
Thanks! I wouldn’t recommend a brand new rtr. Spektrum radio is a letdown. I’ve seen Ryft kits go on sale pretty cheap. There are also a lot on the used market. Better to buy a kit or a roller and build it into something great.

Thanks! It’s always fun trying to build an RC into something different. Good luck with your build!
Wow that spot looks awesome. Great lil rig. Reminds me of my Night Crawler bc of its capabilities. I want one now

Absolutely correct. With the right setup and in the right environment, it’s one of the most fun rcs ever!
I love what you have done to the Ryft Tom, looks so much better and performs great. Nice job dude 👍😁
Thanks man! Very happy with it

Thank you! I will let you know about the build.
I run 24 scale crawlers but I have a Ryft you’ve given me something to think about 😊🤘✌️
Do it! its amazing as a crawler

@@rcilluminati26 awesome thank you RC-FAMILY 🥂
Looking for this transmission. Is this a Ryft specific transmission or is it for AX 10 Wraith, only one I’m seeing for $60, thanks.
Nice video and awesome rig. Just wish theyd drop the price on the Ryft. $529 is too much

@@rcilluminati26 Yeah. After your video I hit the EBay and looked around a little. I’m currently working on my OG Capra but a Ryft might be next.
Hey where did you get the rear link conversion?
It was a guy in the UK. Center of gravity RC or something like that. I had linked it in the description of one of the Ryft crawler vids.
Génial. puis je savoir quel esc et quel moteur précisément? merci
Do u have a video on this build?
Take a look at my playlists, all of the Ryft videos will be listed. 👍
The real all rounder off all RC🤓🧐🙂↕️🫡😉
That is interesting, can you tell me where you got the high clearance links from, I like that mod.
Center of Gravity Radio Control, out of UK. They have a facebook page or email Centreofgravityradiocontrol@gmail.com
@@rcilluminati26 thanks for the tag man
Surreal! This is almost unstoppable 💪
I know the Ryft kit offered two-gear. Is it complicated to put a 3rd gear?
It certainly feels unstoppable at times. The 3 gear is pretty easy. 1tenth makes an adapter.
I show it in one of my previous videos.
Will rewatch the videos. Thanks Tom
Do you have a list of all your upgrades and improvements? With links that we could click on.
Does the 3 gear provide gear reduction compared to the stock ryft gearbox or did you swap just for the dig?
I don’t know the exact amount but it definitely adds reduction. Even more than the low gear with the two speed kit.
What tires are those?
2.2 JConcepts Ruptures with Proline XL Dual stage foams.
Are thos the stock shocks
Yes, stock shocks but with Lmt springs.
👌👌👌👍👍👍
