    Agreed, and even with meat prices going up homemade is still cheaper. The partially frozen is key for cutting. I do Chicken breast, beef liver and heart, sometimes gizzards(Turkey in season).

      Thanks for this. I wanted to use cheap organs, because if we're honest my dog would eat throw-up. not to be crude just realistic. heart jerky sounds interesting haha

    One jerky maker says to 'cook the meat first' before dehydrating it - their idea being that you kill off any bacteria, i think. Seems like an unnecessary step to me; what do you say, cook first or dehydrated it raw?
    Thaks!

    For an 11 lb dog...how much is too much?(chicken treats)

    • @OurPetsHealth
      @OurPetsHealth  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      treats should make up no more than about 10% of a dogs calorie intake, so somewhere about 7-8g of these for your dog

    Hey Alex did not get another dog for any kind of a dog £1.200 think that is a bit much. The dog that the animal sanctuary was to big for me wanted a small dog they had no small dogs

      Are you on a waiting list at the sanctuary as I imagine it wouldn't be a long wait for a small dog in need of a home?

    • @OurPetsHealth

      @@OurPetsHealth Oh well lucky for the patients then! Personally my life style is much better suited to cats and I only have cats.

    • @OurPetsHealth

      Yes, that's exactly why we have 2 cats (and 2 guinea pigs!). I grew up with dogs and I'm sure they will be a feature in the future but at the moment we wouldn't be able to provide the care they'd need. Molly and Milly are pretty cool cats as well
