Well done... I have a dehydrator for my Toy Cavoodles food. He weights 3.5 KG ( so 7.7lbs), he is my 4th dog, he eats raw or single protein. He is my 4th dog who I have alone ( no more ex-husband with their food choices) and he is the most well out of all of them.
Being very little any toxins can be worst as there is so little of him to process it..totally my philosophy.. you are such a great advocate for the well being of our best friends. ...

Hello Jeanette, he will love the treats. Also you should feed him a raw diet as much as possible. We feed our dogs a raw meat diet of mostly chicken (bones and all) and beef. We do add a little rice with the ground beef and we also scramble some eggs too. You will have a very healthy dog if you keep him from eating commercial dog food. Do your research.

I have to tell you, I kept thinking the dog food was what was making my dog sick, I wasn’t sure but about a month ago my 5 year old Rottie ended up in the hospital. They never figured out what was wrong (I wrote to you b4 about it) anyway the Vet said she thought he had some kidney disease which was “common” for this breed. I watched your video and you mentioned a kidney disease caused by the dog food and I thought that was probably what was wrong with my dog. Last Monday after watching your jerky video I decided to put him on an all meat diet. I figured after a week if I did not see any improvement I would just put him back on dog food! Well Mr. B all I can say is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! My Rottie is back to the energetic, playful, happy Rottweiler he was when we got him at 6 weeks! I am totally astounded at the difference in this dog! He is feeling better, looks better and sleeps better! I am so thankful to you for posting that video and I just had to tell you!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Wow that's wonderful I am so happy that your dog is feeling better. I did write back but apparently you didn't see it or something happened to the comment. We feed our dogs raw chicken and never give the dogs cooked chicken bones because it will splinter and they could choke. Our dogs eat the chicken bones raw like they would in the wild. We also feed them raw ground beef, scrambled eggs with rice and beans. Avoid giving the dog pork because it carries parasites you should never even eat pork. Just keep giving him raw chicken, beef and scrambled eggs and organ meat. We only feed them once a day. Glad your dog is feeling better take care.

@@petebeasttexashomesteading I do really want to start this diet, buddy currently take drontal all wormer monthly, if feeding raw meat I might have to feed drontal more frequently, which is my concern. Any suggestions please? I talked to vet but was told raw meat feeding was not recommended, basically vet suggestion is kibble feeding.

Once dehydrated it is technically cooked. Maybe not with oil but it no longer fresh like off an animal or in the Butcher Shop part of a grocery store.
It's probably splitting hairs but technically I don't know how I can be wrong.

I'm watching this do I can collect as much information as I can, it's about my cat.
My dog passed when her was 12 with cancer, horrible dog food and vets don't care less.
My cat has food allergies and the vets gave her ear drops 2 different types, for ear mites, then immune system suppressant drugs to stop her body from having symptoms. Unbelievable, determined to kill my cat.
I took matters into my own hands, I dehydrated rabbit meat, and cooked some, made her food myself. She's happy, active, and hopefully getting out of her miserable allergies soon,
I re mortgaged my house to pay vet bills who try to kill my cat.
Do the work yourselves please , you're tge only one who cares about your furry friends

@@SueSA2009 Cats are obligate carnivores. They also require a high percentage of fat in their diets. I believe it is 30-percent but don't quote me on that. Rabbit is extremely low in fat. Chicken has a higher ratio but that would be in the dark meat not the light breast meat. Cats do not require veggies or fruits. That being said, my 16 yo old boy does get about 1/2 teaspoon of canned black beans added to his meat daily. Because he is older, he has trouble holding on to weight. The black beans add a few extra calories to help him out. He is as frisky as a kitten and very alert and physically active. I only feed canned black beans because they have been cooked well. I strain them and rinse them well to remove most of the added salt from the canning process. Also, the canned black beans do not have additives to retain color like kidney and other beans do. I feed raw chicken thighs including the skin for added fat, raw chicken livers hearts and/or gizzards, raw ground beef 76-percent meat, raw beef heart, raw egg yolk, and some canned sardines. I also grind up some of the raw chicken bones for the bone marrow, calcium, collagen, and other minerals and I grind up an egg shell or two, as well. Everything raw and quickly frozen in small one meal portions. No pork or turkey due to manufacturers adding "broth" to those meats. By law they do not have to disclose the ingredients in their "broth" so could be preservatives, MSG, who knows? Also, turkey meat is lower in fat than chicken. Without proper nutrition animals are more prone to parasites, fungal infections, allergies, joint and bone issues, etc., as you have found out. Good luck with improving your kitty's immune system. 😺 Edited to add: I have a Berkey Water Filter. My animals and I only drink water filtered through the Berkey. It filters out plastics, chlorine, fluoride, pesticides, etc., just too many contaminants to list here. All drinking and cooking is with filtered water only.

@@rouxchat6033 thank you so much for the details , much appreciated. I tried to put distilled water in my cat's fountain, she walked away, was thirsty, but refused to drink, thank you so much for that tip.
Any specific place you prefer to get the raw food from? I think I should start her slowly on that. Even the most effective hypoallergenic food, is not helping. The only thing that calms her down, is sitting under my grapevine for hours, no problem, she's in her elements, mentally, although she still shakes her head and endlessly links her paws.
      Much love fir your kindness

    • @rouxchat6033
      @rouxchat6033 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@SueSA2009 I source everything from the grocery store. Cats need very gradual changes. Start slowly adding a few slivers of chicken thigh, a 1/2 teaspoon size portion of chicken liver, maybe half a sardine. Just continue to experiment with adding various fresh raw meats for her to try. Over time you'll discover her favorites and as time goes by she'll begin to try more options. But patience and consistency is key because, as you know, cats hate change. I feed my cat twice a day and don't free feed him. He knows his mealtimes and pesters me if I delay. If she has free access to food all day, she'll most likely not be hungry enough to accept offerings of different foods. As to the water, I used distilled for years but started getting concerned about the plastic jugs it comes in. Slowly add a bit of the distilled water to her fountain mixing it with the tap water. Every week, increase the ratio slightly until she accepts 100-percent distilled. While I prefer the Berkey, I do believe distilled is better than tap water. Hope this helps. Hugs to your kitty.

Have you considered a meat slicer? It may make it a bit easier to slice it thin 😁
I think the roughness of the jerky would help keep their teeth clean as well.
Curious to know the portion size you give them for their diet. I have a 60lb Cane Corso and she would definitely benefit from this diet. She keeps cyotes and other pests away so I should give her the best for taking care of us. 👍

When my dog was baby, he was fed raw meat often but then deworming became more frequently otherwise he would kept licking his back and chasing his tail even now he is over 2.5 year old. Regarding where the kibble made, he could taste the kibble where it was made when he was little. One brand made in USA was originally working fine with buddy, then next time after the bag was opened, the normal amount was put into his bowl, he sniffed and left. I couldn't figure out what's going on. The bags looked almost the same, then I checked the description of the ingredients and finally found it's made in Thailand. Aha i understood why he didn't want the kibble. After that everytime when I bought kibble always check where it's made regardless how good the brand is.

If it's ground beef about a pound each with each meal with some cooked rice and beans. We give them about 9 scrambled eggs with some rice. Remember to only give your dog raw chicken bones and not cooked because cooked bones will splinter and could make him choke. When they swallow the raw bones it turns soft and dissolves with there stomach acid. Stay away from pork because it carries parasites.

Our dog gets the same problems. She now gets fed raw chicken ( leg, thigh ) 2 eggs with shells, and a dollop of spinach. Her coat is great, her nose is good. Dogs are not meant to eat grain.

Buy the cheapest chicken, chop that up and cook it in a pan and add a little rice.

Do not feed your dog spinach and sweet potatoes anymore. Extremely high in oxalates! Look up Sally Norton for more information if interested

Have you tried asking the store to slice the meat? They just might do that for you. 🙋‍♀️
I’m not sure cooking the meat at 165 is keeping it raw.

The quantity we do is way too much. We do about 18 chicken breast packages at a time and dehydrate over several days. We're not really worried about keeping it raw but that they get real jerky.

That's good but try not to cook the meat, it kills all the enzymes they need or just cook it half way.

I enjoyed the video but you are clearly saying that is their snacks and only snacks. I was thinking you could maybe season it some but probably zero salt even though I've always been told dogs lick your arms and legs for the salt we perspire while sweating.
Alright what did you start feeding them in regular meals? I know crap from China is horrible and I don't know who makes Pedigree but dad swears by it and they love it.
p.s. I love well behaved dogs like yours. I can't handle dogs that don't mind. Yes have a personality but go outside when it's outside time and your kennel when it's time for bed.
My girlfriend's dogs, even though she says they are now also mine don't obey worth a spit. Makes me mad as hell 😠. But the 2 year old baby is really a 10 for 10. Not to mention she's the cutest thing ever and will rarely ever stop begging for attention. She's so cute you keep giving in. It's insane to say the least.

my food bank for seniors gives us a bunch of cans made in CHINA...when i complained and warned them "management" of the danger of food from china I was removed from the list for 6 months...being low income that was a hit but what i do is i get the cans from china and they go to the trash...simple ...it boils my blood to know that the institutions that get food for those low income are importing food from china what is up with that????
