Maybe Henry just failed for all of them to rest idk or maybe he just tricked mike to stay so mike didn't think he was going down alone and Henry escaped so mike can die so its kinda like revenge for William killing his daughter???
Another thing to point out, is that there was originally meant to be a human skeleton in the ruins of the Pizzaplace, but it was removed to keep the game from being a little too graphic. The skeleton would have obviously been Henry.
I have 2 possible explanations for Henry saying ""Its time for all of us to rest". One possibility is him talking about the constant torture L.E.F.T.E.is going through. As shown in the FNAF6 diagram ending, the Microphone L.E.F.T.E. Is constantly putting her to sleep with a lullaby, while simultaneously zapping her. My only other possible theory is "rest" could also mean stop "saving" lost souls and live a "normal" life.
I think the reason why Roxy comes to save Cassie is because just before MXES is disabled it sees her and calls the nearest animatronic Roxy. However this time she is no longer hostile
I had a theory like this but instead of MXES calling Roxy to the area, I feel like that the Faz-Wrench didn't shut down Roxy, but Rebooted Roxy into Safe mode and removed the programming the Mimic (or Afton) put in them just like Freddy was in SB. That way the Glamrocks are protectors of children

I am hoping that with Help Wanted 2, Steelwool finally finds their footing with the storytelling of these games. Despite how vague Scott has been with the lore in this franchise, every game he made had a somewhat clear story. FNAF 1-3 had you as a security officer trying to get through the week. FNAF 4 had you as a kid fighting demons in their bedroom, and it tells the story of a scared kid who's life is ended by their own brother in their worse nightmare. Sister Location made it clear that you were there to find something or someone your father asked you to, and how in the end you were going to go back to your father. Pizzeria Simulator was the continuation of that story, you finding a place to lure your father in and sacrifice yourself to put an end to all this, and Ultimate Custom Night was a simulation of the hell your father was in after Pizzeria Simulator. Even Help Wanted, though the lightest in story compared to most of the previous ones, still had something - you were a beta tester, tasked to test this game, and in the end you are tricked into giving your consciousness away to a virus in the system, a virus that had infected people's minds before yours. My point is, though the overarching story of the franchise is nebulous at best, every game has had a story that reached a conclusion that made sense. Security Breach and Ruin, however, give me the feeling that Steelwool has forgotten that they need to tell a cohesive story with each game and not just sink a bunch of easter eggs and lore hints and book references into the games and call it a day. Security Breach was the first game in this franchise that I know all the endings and yet I have no idea what happened. Even the simple premise "little kid got stuck on the Pizzaplex and is being hunted down by animatronics" is surrounded by misteries that leave the situation more confusing and frustrating than the previous games. I never asked why the heck was someone going to work as a security guard in a place so rundown as FNAF 1 - I've worked minimum wage, I know the struggle lol. I never asked why the beta tester was testing the game in the first place. With SB, they present things in a way that already makes little to no sense. Why is this kid already inside Freddy? Why is he hiding from a security guard when he's already stabilished to not be where he should be and his need to leave? Why are the animatronics hunting him down? (why didn't we hear about the disappearances BEFORE the ending of the game?) None of this should be information that is ONLY FOUND in the books. The people who just pick the game up to play should have at least some sense of what's going on without having to do homework to understand the story of a freaking game. Ruin seemed to be a step in the right direction, but the fact that the antagonist is seemingly NEVER REFERENCED IN THE BASE GAME OR ANY OTHER GAME makes it all wrong again. The climax of your game and the ending shouldn't be a compilation of "who are you? What is this? What is happening?" with no ounce of explanation in game to make it make sense for those who are just playing the games. It leaves the players feeling hollow and unsatisfied. Even the insanity that was Sister Location left you with some explanations: "oh, THAT'S WHY he's purple!" "Oh, that's who he is and why he was actually here!" Even if they don't make sense under scrutiny, they make enough sense for the player to feel like his investment in the story wasn't useless.
While I agree with you that SB was a mess from the storytelling standpoint, I do think that Ruin did a better job of cleaning that up a bit. I think what Steel Wool was trying to accomplish with this DLC was to tell us that the books are way more important than we thought. I've never read any of them, but i've heard so many people talk about the mimic that when the climactic reveal of the mimic happens I knew instantly what it was. It didn't feel hollow or random to me. And for avid readers of the books it was probably a great satisfying surprise to see a new big bad that they can still identify. Whereas when Burntrap was revealed in Security Breach, everybody rolled their eyes because he came back for the umpteenth time. If you solely play games the mimic, may have seemed like a random villain but that could encourage you to find out what's going on with the lore and interact with the lore side of the fan base. It could just be a marketing ploy to sell more of the books. People, including RyeToast have been debating the canonicity of the books to the games for a long time. And I think the point of Ruin was to tell us that to solve this lore, we need these books. And following Game Theory & Fuhnaff's latest videos it seems like Scott & Steel Wool are going to continue to bridge that gap.

How does Gregory know about the Blob? The Neural Network stuff, Cassie's dad, Cassie being alive after the elevator crash, a weird scooper being there. Help Wanted will probably explain stuff like the weird Scooper thing, but everything else will probably remain a mystery, sadly
Love your theory here. I've personally never interpreted Henry's speech as him dying in the fire as well. I've always thought when he's said he was nearby, he was just observing from a safe distance to oversee and make sure everything does burn and everything does end. Which leads into him saying "This ends for all of us" how I have always interpreted that is that he's made sure and for certain Baby, MF and Afton are gone for good, they have ended and therefore for Henry that brings him peace of mind because he knows it has ended, ending it for him, if that makes sense. I feel that quote is saying that everything is done now and he can rest, in a literal sense, knowing it has all ended and not rest in the sense of dying. I've never seen that as him saying he's going to die with it all as well. Basically like saying this is the final straw and he's going to make sure nothing more can come of this, which he does and ends the suffering and because of this he can live the rest of his life knowing no one else can be harmed and everyone is freed. That's how I've always interpreted it, maybe this is helpful to hear another way of seeing it? Regardless love your theories!
Exactly! It always seemed to me like he was in a safe location making sure that the pizzeria burned down so that all the horrible things connected to Freddy's could finally be destroyed. His peace wouldn't be in death, it would be in knowing that all of the souls are put to rest which would give him peace of mind.
Imo I think he is dead afterwards, the only other appearance we see of him is him commiting self kill and since he's most likely old man consequences I think he has to be dead for that scene to happen.

Really interesting theory! I think the only problem with Marionnette not burning with the others is the fact that the burned mask is on the Tangle (Blob) body. Then again, it have no cry marks, maybe before he burned down everyone he already had sucessfully removed Charlie spirit from inside the Marionnette(?), it is very weird that this place have another scooper just ready to be used. And we never really see her face inside Lefty (that I recall). Also there is Baby's original face on Tangle that only Scott knows how that ended up there instead of Scrap Baby's face lol edit: also Funtime Freddy's face instead of whatever was left of him on Pizzaria Simulator..
Theory has it that there were things on display in the Pizzaplex that went missing, who's to say that those two weren't replicas that were displayed of past animatronics.
There is an explanation for all of this: There were multiple Puppet masks, and Baby/Freddy’s masks were nearby (if FFPS is Fredbear’s, it would be in close proximity to CBEAR).
1: The idea of scooping the puppet remnant into the mimic fits with the scooper blueprints being in the FNAF 6 insanity ending. 2: Rest does not have to mean death (resting in peace). The Christian-based interpretation is that “rest” is when the pains and sadness of the world do not affect you because you understand that God (your FATHER who art in heaven) loves you and will take care of you. This could be a metaphor for puppet/Henry’s new relationship.

FNAF 1,2,3,4, have more than five nights, FNAF 6 and UCN dont even say Night 1, Night 2 and etc. Characters cant remain in franchises forever, they have to change sometimes if you want your franchise to go forward and live on
I think this theory has brought some VERY important peices into the light, but they're still out of place. Very intriguing observation with the burn rooms and the motifs of nightmarrione. We're another large step closer to putting something together here me thinks.
I see where you're coming from but this doesn't really line-up. Mimic has to have been trapped in the costume room for as long as the MXES program has been a thing (or at least as long as the security system has been a thing), since part of what that program does is keep the costume room locked with a metal door. If Mimic was free to walk around the underground area before that and could go around disabling security nodes, there's no reason to keep that room closed, since there was nothing in it at that point. Not to mention that this would be before the vent collapsed, meaning there would just be another easy entry into that place. Henry designing MXES originally and then Cassie's dad creating the security nodes and The Entity doesn't really make sense, since the security nodes and The Entity ARE MXES. This wouldn't be re-purposing the program, it would just be making a completely new thing. Not to mention Gregory directly tells us it was originally made with the purpose of keeping Mimic down there. The MXES room being where Henry stayed also seems unlikely since we have a far better candidate for that: the Burntrap office room. It's where the buttons to set the building on fire are. And as for there only being three burner rooms: we know from FFPS that the animatronics weren't in those rooms during the fire, they were in the vent maze. So it's not like this was supposed to be one room for each bot or something like that. As for what those rooms actually are? Not sure, maybe just something to test the fire mechanisms and make sure everything would go according to plan, I really don't know.

If you want to understand the mimic alot more read the wiki article about the mimic. The mimic is powerful in the ability to create its own response to a question or action that is oncoming vs happening live. When in practice the mimic is strategic with responses to Cassie via the radio as it has done to the previous 8 teens who had fell victim to the same trap before. However when the mimic has to chase Cassie it’s obvious that the mimic becomes careless in its surroundings only focusing on capturing Cassie. That’s probably how the mimic was trapped in that room in the first place. Someone use the environment to trap the mimic, same as Cassie does to kill it. But to be honest once you read about the mimic and it’s relation to the pizzaplex it makes no sense that Henry had anything to do with it. The systems built for the mimic were there while they were beginning the cleaning of the old pizzeria to make it a museum. The mimic was used to destroy old endos but it went hay-wire ripping people after it was done. So the company faz ent put it in that room, sealed it, created a security system for it because it had previously been used to develop the behavior of the Glamrocks and caused the death of Edwin, Burrows, Gil, 8 teens, and 2 technician teams. I presume Cassie’s father was one of those technician teams sent to work on the mimic. But as to the M.X.E.S computer the reason it is the way it is, is because that computer was built to contain the mimic after it was used to clean the old location. Technician teams came before that incident when modifying the mimic for technical use. All of those people died after the modification was complete. And the computer was simply built to prevent it from connecting the to the pizzaplex ever again since it used to be the story teller. This is deep you gotta read about it yourself to understand why this robot was worth risking the death of Cassie in the normal ending.

The technicians did all these things just before the happenings of SB, where even in this altered timeline where graphics are less important, computers have developed modern processors and graphical capabilities.
That MXES reveal was so good! I love this theory. Edit: Hey, I just thought of something. Maybe Charlie escaped from the robot as she believed her father was doing something wrong. And she escaped into the pizzaplex and later into Roxy. That's why AR Roxy is green and addresses herself as we, and reactivated despite being deactivated. What do you think, Mr. Toast?

Exactly, on my option this would ruin the best ending the first half of FNAF ever had. In my opinion Henry did died on the fire, he is a desperate man that has nothing left to live. And that also would explain his soul as Old Man Consequences since UCN is hell and suicide is a sin.
If this theory is anywhere close to being correct then this would mean that henry would have killed micheal without knowing if he wanted to be released, but then decided to notdo the same for himself.
Just to add more credence to this theory, even if Charlie was burned, and Henry wasn’t because all he said was that he was remaining nearby plus the lack of burners in his room, remnant is shown to hold the soul even in liquid state, so he could be using a modified scooper, which he found at circus babies rentals(if you believe the theory that the Fnaf six diner is just Fred bears re-purposed) in order to inject the mimic, which he creates or repairs with the leftover parts from the animatronics in the pizzeria, with Charlie’s remnant.

Burntrap is not the mimic because of burntrap’s purple eyes and mimic has a different endo than Burntrap. Also the recharge station is closed meaning Burntrap is still in there. But that’s just a theory a Fnaf theory!
I kinda want this franchise to go back to having "haunted" stuff and more mystery instead of trying to explain and tie everything to a logic, tech or something related to AI.
I think this theory is very interesting and has been one of my favorite newer theories. With how complicated new fnaf lore is getting with mind control and AI systems and mimics, it's nice to have a good old "I will put you back together" theory
The mimic didn't mimic Gregory's voice, he played back lines Gregory said during security breach just cut up in some places and stuck back together. I don't think Gregory and Vanessa have the know how to professionally cement off a door. That had to have been done way before the mimic was put in there, and it makes no sense that it couldn't escape through the vent since it can change its body shape if you believe that part of the story
Has anyone considered that the deactivated nodes in the room before the mimic are connected to the ones we deactivated up in the Pizzaplex? If we count how many nodes are down there and how many we deactivate up above we could see if it's the same number.
I've never went against a theory so much as it now, first, sure i do think this MXES was older but i don't think the SCUP was made by Henry because it is way advanced than he previously did and the design looks it was based on William's and also, Henry said it's time to rest so my guess is, he wanted 3 things: put at rest the whole group of souls, get Afton burn in hell (as a matter in fact we never knew how he was going to do that since every soul that has been released went to the equivalent of heaven and only Cassidy put William in a hell of her own design helped by the fire) and TAKE CHARLIE'S PLACE. We know Charlie is gone, the mask of puppet has no more tears so she's gone but Henry was the partner of a psychopath so i don't think he got sloppy, he needed a back up plan which could explain why the nightmare version of the puppet is there.

I’m not sure if I agree with the theory as a whole, but I did find the discussion on MXES being built by Cassie’s father to be interesting. In general with the theories about FNAF I do think there is a slight over reliance on valence materials to construct a story, so I think working with what this game has given will yield a stronger answer to what the is happening. I think suggesting that Cassie’s father built the MXES security system makes sense through the angle that the character itself does look like Bonnie and that the system itself behaves like how a security system should behave rather that it being tainted like many of the other characters (implying that a more neutral character may have built the system). Additionally, the game explicitly ties connections between the common staff and Bonnie through the yellow bots; this could be understood as an indirect connection from common staff to MXES. Why would the common staff be working on a security system? Beyond the general need for one in a massive plaza full of children, the staff in these games do seem like they’re under threat; they’re being replaced by staff bots from the first game and with the story example from the book in mind, they could be physically harassed / killed by the bots too. MXES could be understood then as being a guardian system built by a new character to protect the interests of the common people. Thematically this makes sense to me. This game is about a rogue, misaligned AI trying to gain greater power to complete its mission. If the theory that Cassie’s father is a creator of the MXES system, it makes sense why she would be targeted by the Mimic. She is clearly knowledgeable of the Pizza Plex and understands how to use the tools to free it from its cage - through her father doesn’t need to be the creator of the MXES system for that to be true, it would also reinforce the reason why Cassie is of particular interest. On a bit of a further tangent - jumping a bit more into speculation, Bonnie and Cassie’s father could be a dark mirror of the relationship between Roxy and Cassie. In the same way Roxy’s attachment to Cassie compelled her to fight the Mimic, maybe Bonnie did the same but ultimately suffered worse for it. In this version of events I would speculate that Bonnie was the animatronic that sacrificed himself for the staff by locking it in the cave, turning Bonnie into a martyr which inspired the creation of MXES. Just something to consider. All of this was written just as an idea, not an argument or theory. I think from a story telling perspective this is what makes sense to me with the presented information in the DLC and doesn’t rely on the other parts of the timeline to make sense.

This makes a lot of sense. Everyone on the theory community has been so focused on the afton family but the books and games put a lot more emphasis on Henry and his counterparts. I'm starting to wonder if Afton was involved at all in the murders or if it was all just Henry's machines getting out of hand.
I think they used the walkie-talkie to lure the Mimic. Remember, the doorway is concreted over on the inside of the room, not the outside. So my idea is they sealed the door with concrete, used the walkie talkie to lure the Mimic through the vent, then sealed the vent. Second theory: Cassie’s dad is the employee who got super obsessed with the Princess Quest games and got fired for it. Third theory: MXES was the security system for Afton Robotics. My thoughts is that, if it kept the giant mimicking animatronic from escaping for decades, it could keep in the Funtime animatronics

I think it’s pretty obvious that the reason it doesn’t show Lefty burning is because it instead takes that time to actually SHOW who Charlotte is with the mini games and the fnaf2 puppet in the background… I really don’t think that’s any kind of evidence

It is an interesting theory, specially the part where henry makes the mxes, but rewatching the fnaf 6 ending again after watching this theory kinda makes me feel that Henry wouldnt want to bring his daughter back. He knows she has gone through too much and just wants to end it all for everyone's sake. Henry trying to do the same thing as Afton which brought so much pain and suffering to himself just seems, not right. The part where "maybe this is where Henry was sitting in fnaf6 ending" really did give me an adrenaline rush, thats just so cool if it really is that place, but I dont think Henry would do somethin like bringing Charlie back to life after seeing how much destruction, pain and sorrow it brought when Afton tried to do it. He just wanted to end it all in fnaf 6, that is what I think. But what happened to puppet and lefty in that fire, you are right, we dont know for sure what happened to them. I like this theory a lot! There are a few issues with it, something that comes to mind is part of Henry's speech: "And to you, my brave volunteer [...] I have a feeling that you are right where you want to be. I am remaining as well," This language implies to me at least, that Henry wanted to be taken by the fire as well, "This place will not be remembered," even by him. From a story telling stand point there is a possibility that upon seeing his daughter again, he decided he just couldn't go through with it? Especially if he found a way to "save" her. I don't know, lots of interesting things to think about!

I think it's definitely interesting that the scooper we see in Ruin takes the soul from the mimic, where the scup from SL was shown to inject remnant into the machines. Interesting take on the "puppet never burns" theory. My guess personally is that Henry never does finish his work on integrating Charlie's soul into the animatronic he creates. I think it was FNAF world where Henry died by Baby's hands? "Everybody please stay in your seat" or something like that? Either way, the fact that there is a scooper in the room suggests Henry is not just aware of the SCUP machine, but maybe he even went down to SL himself or had someone go down there for him to retrieve the specific documents. 2023 and 2035 are only 12 years apart so it's not very unlikely that (what I suspect to have been) Hand Unit's faulty code (which gave birth to glitchtrap) also infected the animatronic Henry was working on. After all, it did have a computer with active access to the areas above, in the pizzeria, so for it to also (albeit indirectly) connect to burntrap's pod, or even higher up the rest of the pizzaplex's wiring, wouldn't be too far fetched. The only gripe I have is that the security nodes are in the virtual world which I doubt Cassie's dad had access to, which indicates that Vanessa is the one that created the nodes. Yes Cassie's dad could've made the bunny, but that's a bit weird that Henry created the MXES machine itself, then Cassie's dad modified it to fit the bunny, then Vanessa used the VANNI mask to further cement the mimic into the basement.
An amazing video as always! This whole part was genius 11:14 I laughed every time with the timing with the music I’d like to leave a small opinion/constructive criticism though: recently I’ve been having to watch videos with headphones again due to my sound sensitivity in daily life getting worse and worse to the point I’m constantly wearing noise cancelling headphones. That same sensitivity is why I’m making thus. It took me a while to get through this video from when it was posted until now because the beeping in the bg of the song at the beginning both distracted me and triggered a part of that sensitivity since it was all I could hear and focus on If you could please consider things like this in the future when choosing songs for bg music I’d really appreciate it. My one issue with the 'only 3 rooms' problem is that those rooms don't, in any way, appear to connect to a room that resembles the PS Office. There's only one vent shaft to the Gregory Bossfight Room that Monty crawls through.
I'm not too sure about this theory. Especially with the plot holes you pointed out concerning Henry's speech. Saying stuff like "This ends. For all of us." and saying that he is staying inside of the burning location definitely implies that he is going down with the ship. Plus, there is your belief about Henry trying to bring back Charlie. While this is a thing in the books, I don't think that it fits with the games. One thing that people seem to overlook are the *character differences* between Henry from the Silver Eyes trilogy and the games. The book Henry commits suicide via knife endo after the 5 deaths at Freddy's. He ends it without going after Afton, and suffering from mental issues from the illusion discs Game Henry, on the other hand, doesn't give up and commit suicide. He makes plans, bides his time after the murders (and may or may not try to reopen Freddy's) learns from other's and his own mistakes. Studying Remnant and how to neutralize it, making the mobile audio lures for the animitronics, making Lefty to safely secure and transport the Puppet, looking at the failure at Fazbear Frights and improving on the plan. He builds a fake pizzeria to lure all of the possessed animitronics into a box, a labyrinth with no escape, and burns them all. This is a character that is proactive, that sincerely wants the tragedies to end and is willing to do it himself. A very different character from the Silver Eyes Henry. Not just a character in different circumstances, but an entirely different stance on life, and reactions to tragedy. The books parallel the games, but they are not perfect copies. Characters are similar, but not the same, and some actions they take differ. So just because Book Henry wanted to bring Charlie back, that doesn't mean that Game Henry would do the same
To be honest, when Henry said "All of us can now rest" it was for different reasons. The animatronics sure would be able to go on to the afterlife, but Henry himself can finally rest from what he had done... not to kill himself but to just finally be done with the entire situation and move on with his life.
Considering that we are talking about a game about a lot of weird concepts, nothing is controversial in my opinion. Specially because the devs don't want to clarify anything, they know since the beginning that this kind of theory/speculation is what keeps the franchise so relevant. If they explain the story, it's over. 😂
This is a great theory, however I still think that Vanessa and Gregory had something to do with the security system, and I still believe that defeated Glitchtrap was used for upgrades to M.X.E.S. because of it's access and control over the Pizza Plex, if we assume that the Baobab tree is a parallel to Glitchtrap and it (Glitchtrap) is somehow involved in Vanessa's files being changed and her being promoted(from patient 71 and one of the massages from the base game). Thus I don't think that Cassies' dad is directly involved. The wrench part is really important, but we cannot say that it was her dad's, or that it is somehow connected to him. I think that we as a community have to deal with this elephant in the room(which is the VANNI mask/system and FazWrench that can interact with AR nodes), that in some ways can change our understanding of the base game. I think this is a huge topic for speculation and theorizing that deserves a lot of attention.
On the Propane means henry, that in and of itself is weak because the forklift is propane powered, there is a canister on the back. This doesn't rule out Henry, since it is below FNaF6 and possibly Fredbear's Family Diner, but in a vaccuum, Propane in a room with a forklift is fuel for the fork

@RyeToast all that is fair, I was just applying occam's razor to the propane, if the fork wasn't there then the propane is more out of place and thus is more likely to be an actual hint (like nightmarrionne everywhere or the staffbot graveyard). I'm also not saying it's a red herring, just no more significant than the ruined animatronics being found in their old attractions (aside from possibly freddy in fazerblast, that is almost a nod to the vanny endings, or a shamalamadingdong level twist, assuming "prototype" isn't artistic license). One thing that is also a coincidence, but interesting is the design choice of Nightmare, Funtime, and Glamrock Freddy having stomach mouth/hatch/tank things, especially seeing the theorized links between them and Michael , and Crying Evan with Gregory (assuming the Neo-Afton Kids thing with Glamrock Freddy, Gregory and Vanessa)
While the idea that Henry was the one that made MXES isn’t a bad one, why would he make MXES into a rabbit, which is what William is usually associated with, and why would the Security and Child Nodes be in the modern Pizzaplex if MXES is an old security system? I do like the idea that MXES stands for Marionette Experiment Enshroudment System, but it’s hard to say exactly. 🤔 I do hope we’ll see MXES again, because he’s my favorite character in Ruin.
The “It’s been down there for a long time” could definitely be referring to the fact that it’s been in the FNAF6 location for what seems to be at least ~7 years before SB, that’s obviously what he meant, not a bad theory per se, just not too much proper evidence to support it, There’a no way that The Mimic isn’t in the FNAF6 location and the room that it was trapped inside of in RUIN, it couldn’t have been in that room specifically for that long… Also the animatronics were never in the Burner rooms in FNAF6, they were in the vents, not the Burner rooms, it makes more sense (especially considering Henry’s line of “I’m remaining as well, I am nearby” because he literally is like either under or above them depending on circumstances, he was probably in the same room that the recharge station is in and he burnt to death in there, now I could still see the machine itself being down there for a lot longer but it was definitely not used as M.X.E.S until Gregory and/or Vanessa trapped The Mimic…
I think we are taking huge leaps assuming Cassie's dad was anything more than probably a technician in the same way a mechanic, to being the creator and once again "genius inventor". How many genius inventors and mad scientists does this franchise needs!

Those lines made me think.. We have general information on how everyone was lured to the FNAF 6 location. We know that MXES can alert the pizzaplex animatronics to a location so.... it may not align perfectly, but what if it was originally the system that assured everyone was lured to the pizzeria? If we go with the idea that Cassie's dad, or really anyone, updated it for use with security measures in the pizzaplex, then we could assume that the luring code was repurposed as the security alerting code!
Sorry for the interruption, but something came to my mind. Gregory only talks to you through the walkie. How would he get into the speaker system to start with? Perhaps the whole speech is the mimic because it's basic language with vague to no explanations.
The reason of why Henry failed is because the Puppet wasn't there, the Puppet died in the Fazbear Fright books, fighting against the Afton amalgamation, Henry then Henry where still there, in the FNAF 6 local while the Fazbear Fright books happends, that's my theory
I think we can pretty surely say that charlie’s dad is integral to figuring everything out. What I at least got from the plushies is this theme of abandonment from a father figure. It’s the neglection of charlie/elizabeth that lead to their demise. Daughters failed by their fathers. I think that maybe that could be what’s being alluded too.
This is just something I've though of now, but I personally think that the glitchtrap virus was trying to free the mimic and that the mimic almost escaped before the pizzaplex was destroyed. I'm not sure what stopped it from escaping while the pizzaplex was open, but anyways. After the pizzaplex was destroyed, I think that someone realised that the mimic kept almost escaping and broke in to block the mimic in with the concrete, and made the security nodes and M.X.E.S system after the pizzaplex was destroyed, which my admittedly weak evidence is that ruined Roxy is one of the security nodes, which is turned off by using the faz-wrench in her eye socket, which had to be added after security breach as you could see in security breach that her eye sockets were empty. To sum it up, I think that someone or something came into the pizzaplex after it was destroyed to block in the mimic and made the M.X.E.S system and the security nodes to stop people from letting the mimic out. My evidence is that Roxy was modified to be a security node after the events of security breach. I'm not sure if this was the general consensus among the community or what weight it would hold, but I just wanted to share my ideas. Also I wrote this before watching the video
My thoughts on the mimic from a comment i posted on a superhorrorbro's fnaf videos: "I don't think the mimic and Glitchtrap are the same. Gregory says that the mimic has been imprisoned down there for a "long time" and doesn't refer to MXES has something he made, more like something he heard of. What i think happened was that the mimic was created a long time ago but then locked away once it started to replicate violent behavior. Then Henry used the plot of land to build the FNAF 6 location (perhaps not knowing of the monster below). Then Fazbear Entertainment used the same plot to build the Pizzaplex, rediscovering the mimic and trying to work with it, even scaning it into the VR game (which created Glitchtrap). But when they figured out that it was to dangerous the locked it away again in the same place and added MXES for extra security and stole back the circuit boards sent to scan into the vr game (being to late by then). Just like in the books they put the mimic1 program in everything, like the animatronics and probably the Blob (which is probably the game version of the Storyteller)."

I think maybe Henry said what he said about giving charlie a rest was a lie to make the others think that he's burning himself and charlie. He also said "I am remaining as well." implying that he stayed to burn himself, which also would make no sense, which makes me think, for one reason or another, he lied about burning himself and his daughter. Possibly so no one bothers him and charlie, since, nobody will suspect that he's still alive, trying to bring charlie back, if they think they're both already gone for good.
as much as i like the idea that henry coulda built the mxes, the only issue i find is the puppet is canonically and strictly know as that: the puppet. we refer to it as the marionette back in fnaf2, but the character encyclopedia (flimsy evidence, ik) refers to every variant of the puppet as blank puppet. it feels and sounds nit picky, and i really wish i wasnt, but its something that i cant shake off. that being said, this sounds so similar to the stitchwraith origin story, i just wish its story had some connection to the current lore

Gregory says it. But he is also a character who may not know the origins of the device. He knows what it is being used for now, but maybe not its original purpose. But I think the MXES being as old as it looks makes me think it has been there for a long time.

Somehow I only just realised but the wires parts on the mimics legs might be Funtime chicas Endo parts and the arms look very similar to music man’s and both were in fnaf 6

The Pizza Sim location wouldn't have STAFF Bots in it. 3:10 The legs are mismatched, but the arms actually have the same base design, it's just that one of them has damage that removed a layer of its telescoping mechanism. The hands are mismatched, though. 15:30 I mean, it's better than yet another rationalization for the Mimic being Baby. That one's genuinely frustrating to me.
My main issue with this is that literally in Tales the Mimic is sent to the Pizza Place not the Pizzaplex. The Pizza Place is still above ground and the Pizzaplex is still under construction. Another thing is why study the Mimic if his code is literally in the hands of Fazbear Entertainment, being a previous owner he should be able to get his hands on that code.
Wasn't it confirmed in the books (twisted ones) that the cave with a waterfall and glowing mushrooms and the facility where costumes of a "a massive contorted bird-like creature with a wide, curved beak" are kept where built under Henry's house?

Another thing to point out, is that there was originally meant to be a human skeleton in the ruins of the Pizzaplace, but it was removed to keep the game from being a little too graphic. The skeleton would have obviously been Henry.
I have 2 possible explanations for Henry saying ""Its time for all of us to rest". One possibility is him talking about the constant torture L.E.F.T.E.is going through.
As shown in the FNAF6 diagram ending, the Microphone L.E.F.T.E. Is constantly putting her to sleep with a lullaby, while simultaneously zapping her. My only other possible theory is "rest" could also mean stop "saving" lost souls and live a "normal" life.
I think the reason why Roxy comes to save Cassie is because just before MXES is disabled it sees her and calls the nearest animatronic Roxy. However this time she is no longer hostile

I had a theory like this but instead of MXES calling Roxy to the area, I feel like that the Faz-Wrench didn't shut down Roxy, but Rebooted Roxy into Safe mode and removed the programming the Mimic (or Afton) put in them just like Freddy was in SB. That way the Glamrocks are protectors of children

exactly!! if they aren't controversial and getting people to think and look at things in different lights, what's the point tbh? we can't just keep pretending we have all these hard confirmations and truths to know roughly what's going on and play follow the leader with whatever theory seems to be popularly accepted atm. we don't. we're all treading water here, what people always say is a fact or confirmed is actually just the things we as a community have decided are like 99% probably the case. there's extremely little actual confirmed facts about this game franchise, period, and that's the least we have to worry about when it comes to the waters being muddied.

I am hoping that with Help Wanted 2, Steelwool finally finds their footing with the storytelling of these games. Despite how vague Scott has been with the lore in this franchise, every game he made had a somewhat clear story. FNAF 1-3 had you as a security officer trying to get through the week. FNAF 4 had you as a kid fighting demons in their bedroom, and it tells the story of a scared kid who's life is ended by their own brother in their worse nightmare. Sister Location made it clear that you were there to find something or someone your father asked you to, and how in the end you were going to go back to your father. Pizzeria Simulator was the continuation of that story, you finding a place to lure your father in and sacrifice yourself to put an end to all this, and Ultimate Custom Night was a simulation of the hell your father was in after Pizzeria Simulator. Even Help Wanted, though the lightest in story compared to most of the previous ones, still had something - you were a beta tester, tasked to test this game, and in the end you are tricked into giving your consciousness away to a virus in the system, a virus that had infected people's minds before yours. My point is, though the overarching story of the franchise is nebulous at best, every game has had a story that reached a conclusion that made sense. Security Breach and Ruin, however, give me the feeling that Steelwool has forgotten that they need to tell a cohesive story with each game and not just sink a bunch of easter eggs and lore hints and book references into the games and call it a day. Security Breach was the first game in this franchise that I know all the endings and yet I have no idea what happened. Even the simple premise "little kid got stuck on the Pizzaplex and is being hunted down by animatronics" is surrounded by misteries that leave the situation more confusing and frustrating than the previous games. I never asked why the heck was someone going to work as a security guard in a place so rundown as FNAF 1 - I've worked minimum wage, I know the struggle lol. I never asked why the beta tester was testing the game in the first place. With SB, they present things in a way that already makes little to no sense. Why is this kid already inside Freddy? Why is he hiding from a security guard when he's already stabilished to not be where he should be and his need to leave? Why are the animatronics hunting him down? (why didn't we hear about the disappearances BEFORE the ending of the game?)
None of this should be information that is ONLY FOUND in the books. The people who just pick the game up to play should have at least some sense of what's going on without having to do homework to understand the story of a freaking game.
Ruin seemed to be a step in the right direction, but the fact that the antagonist is seemingly NEVER REFERENCED IN THE BASE GAME OR ANY OTHER GAME makes it all wrong again. The climax of your game and the ending shouldn't be a compilation of "who are you? What is this? What is happening?" with no ounce of explanation in game to make it make sense for those who are just playing the games. It leaves the players feeling hollow and unsatisfied. Even the insanity that was Sister Location left you with some explanations: "oh, THAT'S WHY he's purple!" "Oh, that's who he is and why he was actually here!" Even if they don't make sense under scrutiny, they make enough sense for the player to feel like his investment in the story wasn't useless.
While I agree with you that SB was a mess from the storytelling standpoint, I do think that Ruin did a better job of cleaning that up a bit. I think what Steel Wool was trying to accomplish with this DLC was to tell us that the books are way more important than we thought.
I've never read any of them, but i've heard so many people talk about the mimic that when the climactic reveal of the mimic happens I knew instantly what it was. It didn't feel hollow or random to me. And for avid readers of the books it was probably a great satisfying surprise to see a new big bad that they can still identify. Whereas when Burntrap was revealed in Security Breach, everybody rolled their eyes because he came back for the umpteenth time.
If you solely play games the mimic, may have seemed like a random villain but that could encourage you to find out what's going on with the lore and interact with the lore side of the fan base.
It could just be a marketing ploy to sell more of the books.
People, including RyeToast have been debating the canonicity of the books to the games for a long time. And I think the point of Ruin was to tell us that to solve this lore, we need these books.
And following Game Theory & Fuhnaff's latest videos it seems like Scott & Steel Wool are going to continue to bridge that gap.

I've personally never interpreted Henry's speech as him dying in the fire as well. I've always thought when he's said he was nearby, he was just observing from a safe distance to oversee and make sure everything does burn and everything does end.
Which leads into him saying "This ends for all of us" how I have always interpreted that is that he's made sure and for certain Baby, MF and Afton are gone for good, they have ended and therefore for Henry that brings him peace of mind because he knows it has ended, ending it for him, if that makes sense. I feel that quote is saying that everything is done now and he can rest, in a literal sense, knowing it has all ended and not rest in the sense of dying. I've never seen that as him saying he's going to die with it all as well. Basically like saying this is the final straw and he's going to make sure nothing more can come of this, which he does and ends the suffering and because of this he can live the rest of his life knowing no one else can be harmed and everyone is freed.
That's how I've always interpreted it, maybe this is helpful to hear another way of seeing it?

Exactly! It always seemed to me like he was in a safe location making sure that the pizzeria burned down so that all the horrible things connected to Freddy's could finally be destroyed. His peace wouldn't be in death, it would be in knowing that all of the souls are put to rest which would give him peace of mind.

Really interesting theory! I think the only problem with Marionnette not burning with the others is the fact that the burned mask is on the Tangle (Blob) body.
Then again, it have no cry marks, maybe before he burned down everyone he already had sucessfully removed Charlie spirit from inside the Marionnette(?), it is very weird that this place have another scooper just ready to be used. And we never really see her face inside Lefty (that I recall). Also there is Baby's original face on Tangle that only Scott knows how that ended up there instead of Scrap Baby's face lol

Theory has it that there were things on display in the Pizzaplex that went missing, who's to say that those two weren't replicas that were displayed of past animatronics.
There is an explanation for all of this:
There were multiple Puppet masks, and Baby/Freddy’s masks were nearby (if FFPS is Fredbear’s, it would be in close proximity to CBEAR).

1: The idea of scooping the puppet remnant into the mimic fits with the scooper blueprints being in the FNAF 6 insanity ending.
2: Rest does not have to mean death (resting in peace). The Christian-based interpretation is that “rest” is when the pains and sadness of the world do not affect you because you understand that God (your FATHER who art in heaven) loves you and will take care of you. This could be a metaphor for puppet/Henry’s new relationship.

FNAF 1,2,3,4, have more than five nights, FNAF 6 and UCN dont even say Night 1, Night 2 and etc. Characters cant remain in franchises forever, they have to change sometimes if you want your franchise to go forward and live on

I think this theory has brought some VERY important peices into the light, but they're still out of place. Very intriguing observation with the burn rooms and the motifs of nightmarrione. We're another large step closer to putting something together here me thinks.

I see where you're coming from but this doesn't really line-up.
Mimic has to have been trapped in the costume room for as long as the MXES program has been a thing (or at least as long as the security system has been a thing), since part of what that program does is keep the costume room locked with a metal door. If Mimic was free to walk around the underground area before that and could go around disabling security nodes, there's no reason to keep that room closed, since there was nothing in it at that point. Not to mention that this would be before the vent collapsed, meaning there would just be another easy entry into that place.
Henry designing MXES originally and then Cassie's dad creating the security nodes and The Entity doesn't really make sense, since the security nodes and The Entity ARE MXES. This wouldn't be re-purposing the program, it would just be making a completely new thing. Not to mention Gregory directly tells us it was originally made with the purpose of keeping Mimic down there.
The MXES room being where Henry stayed also seems unlikely since we have a far better candidate for that: the Burntrap office room. It's where the buttons to set the building on fire are. And as for there only being three burner rooms: we know from FFPS that the animatronics weren't in those rooms during the fire, they were in the vent maze. So it's not like this was supposed to be one room for each bot or something like that. As for what those rooms actually are? Not sure, maybe just something to test the fire mechanisms and make sure everything would go according to plan, I really don't know.

If you want to understand the mimic alot more read the wiki article about the mimic. The mimic is powerful in the ability to create its own response to a question or action that is oncoming vs happening live. When in practice the mimic is strategic with responses to Cassie via the radio as it has done to the previous 8 teens who had fell victim to the same trap before. However when the mimic has to chase Cassie it’s obvious that the mimic becomes careless in its surroundings only focusing on capturing Cassie. That’s probably how the mimic was trapped in that room in the first place. Someone use the environment to trap the mimic, same as Cassie does to kill it.
But to be honest once you read about the mimic and it’s relation to the pizzaplex it makes no sense that Henry had anything to do with it. The systems built for the mimic were there while they were beginning the cleaning of the old pizzeria to make it a museum. The mimic was used to destroy old endos but it went hay-wire ripping people after it was done. So the company faz ent put it in that room, sealed it, created a security system for it because it had previously been used to develop the behavior of the Glamrocks and caused the death of Edwin, Burrows, Gil, 8 teens, and 2 technician teams. I presume Cassie’s father was one of those technician teams sent to work on the mimic. But as to the M.X.E.S computer the reason it is the way it is, is because that computer was built to contain the mimic after it was used to clean the old location. Technician teams came before that incident when modifying the mimic for technical use. All of those people died after the modification was complete. And the computer was simply built to prevent it from connecting the to the pizzaplex ever again since it used to be the story teller.
This is deep you gotta read about it yourself to understand why this robot was worth risking the death of Cassie in the normal ending.

The technicians did all these things just before the happenings of SB, where even in this altered timeline where graphics are less important, computers have developed modern processors and graphical capabilities.

Exactly, on my option this would ruin the best ending the first half of FNAF ever had. In my opinion Henry did died on the fire, he is a desperate man that has nothing left to live. And that also would explain his soul as Old Man Consequences since UCN is hell and suicide is a sin.
If this theory is anywhere close to being correct then this would mean that henry would have killed micheal without knowing if he wanted to be released, but then decided to notdo the same for himself.
Just to add more credence to this theory, even if Charlie was burned, and Henry wasn’t because all he said was that he was remaining nearby plus the lack of burners in his room, remnant is shown to hold the soul even in liquid state, so he could be using a modified scooper, which he found at circus babies rentals(if you believe the theory that the Fnaf six diner is just Fred bears re-purposed) in order to inject the mimic, which he creates or repairs with the leftover parts from the animatronics in the pizzeria, with Charlie’s remnant.
I thought they said fire destroyed the remnant? There's no way to ever free the souls if even melting the metal isn't enough.

Burntrap is not the mimic because of burntrap’s purple eyes and mimic has a different endo than Burntrap. Also the recharge station is closed meaning Burntrap is still in there. But that’s just a theory a Fnaf theory!

I think this theory is very interesting and has been one of my favorite newer theories. With how complicated new fnaf lore is getting with mind control and AI systems and mimics, it's nice to have a good old "I will put you back together" theory
The mimic didn't mimic Gregory's voice, he played back lines Gregory said during security breach just cut up in some places and stuck back together. I don't think Gregory and Vanessa have the know how to professionally cement off a door. That had to have been done way before the mimic was put in there, and it makes no sense that it couldn't escape through the vent since it can change its body shape if you believe that part of the story
Has anyone considered that the deactivated nodes in the room before the mimic are connected to the ones we deactivated up in the Pizzaplex? If we count how many nodes are down there and how many we deactivate up above we could see if it's the same number.

I've never went against a theory so much as it now, first, sure i do think this MXES was older but i don't think the SCUP was made by Henry because it is way advanced than he previously did and the design looks it was based on William's and also, Henry said it's time to rest so my guess is, he wanted 3 things: put at rest the whole group of souls, get Afton burn in hell (as a matter in fact we never knew how he was going to do that since every soul that has been released went to the equivalent of heaven and only Cassidy put William in a hell of her own design helped by the fire) and TAKE CHARLIE'S PLACE.
We know Charlie is gone, the mask of puppet has no more tears so she's gone but Henry was the partner of a psychopath so i don't think he got sloppy, he needed a back up plan which could explain why the nightmare version of the puppet is there.

I still din't understand why Cassie's dad matters; he could be just a staff of Fazbear's and he doesn't affect the lore.
I’m not sure if I agree with the theory as a whole, but I did find the discussion on MXES being built by Cassie’s father to be interesting. In general with the theories about FNAF I do think there is a slight over reliance on valence materials to construct a story, so I think working with what this game has given will yield a stronger answer to what the is happening.
I think suggesting that Cassie’s father built the MXES security system makes sense through the angle that the character itself does look like Bonnie and that the system itself behaves like how a security system should behave rather that it being tainted like many of the other characters (implying that a more neutral character may have built the system). Additionally, the game explicitly ties connections between the common staff and Bonnie through the yellow bots; this could be understood as an indirect connection from common staff to MXES.
Why would the common staff be working on a security system? Beyond the general need for one in a massive plaza full of children, the staff in these games do seem like they’re under threat; they’re being replaced by staff bots from the first game and with the story example from the book in mind, they could be physically harassed / killed by the bots too. MXES could be understood then as being a guardian system built by a new character to protect the interests of the common people.
Thematically this makes sense to me. This game is about a rogue, misaligned AI trying to gain greater power to complete its mission. If the theory that Cassie’s father is a creator of the MXES system, it makes sense why she would be targeted by the Mimic. She is clearly knowledgeable of the Pizza Plex and understands how to use the tools to free it from its cage - through her father doesn’t need to be the creator of the MXES system for that to be true, it would also reinforce the reason why Cassie is of particular interest.
On a bit of a further tangent - jumping a bit more into speculation, Bonnie and Cassie’s father could be a dark mirror of the relationship between Roxy and Cassie. In the same way Roxy’s attachment to Cassie compelled her to fight the Mimic, maybe Bonnie did the same but ultimately suffered worse for it. In this version of events I would speculate that Bonnie was the animatronic that sacrificed himself for the staff by locking it in the cave, turning Bonnie into a martyr which inspired the creation of MXES. Just something to consider.
All of this was written just as an idea, not an argument or theory. I think from a story telling perspective this is what makes sense to me with the presented information in the DLC and doesn’t rely on the other parts of the timeline to make sense.

This makes a lot of sense. Everyone on the theory community has been so focused on the afton family but the books and games put a lot more emphasis on Henry and his counterparts. I'm starting to wonder if Afton was involved at all in the murders or if it was all just Henry's machines getting out of hand.
I think they used the walkie-talkie to lure the Mimic. Remember, the doorway is concreted over on the inside of the room, not the outside. So my idea is they sealed the door with concrete, used the walkie talkie to lure the Mimic through the vent, then sealed the vent.
Second theory: Cassie’s dad is the employee who got super obsessed with the Princess Quest games and got fired for it.
Third theory: MXES was the security system for Afton Robotics. My thoughts is that, if it kept the giant mimicking animatronic from escaping for decades, it could keep in the Funtime animatronics

I think it’s pretty obvious that the reason it doesn’t show Lefty burning is because it instead takes that time to actually SHOW who Charlotte is with the mini games and the fnaf2 puppet in the background… I really don’t think that’s any kind of evidence

It is an interesting theory, specially the part where henry makes the mxes, but rewatching the fnaf 6 ending again after watching this theory kinda makes me feel that Henry wouldnt want to bring his daughter back. He knows she has gone through too much and just wants to end it all for everyone's sake. Henry trying to do the same thing as Afton which brought so much pain and suffering to himself just seems, not right. The part where "maybe this is where Henry was sitting in fnaf6 ending" really did give me an adrenaline rush, thats just so cool if it really is that place, but I dont think Henry would do somethin like bringing Charlie back to life after seeing how much destruction, pain and sorrow it brought when Afton tried to do it. He just wanted to end it all in fnaf 6, that is what I think. But what happened to puppet and lefty in that fire, you are right, we dont know for sure what happened to them. But I think Henry did want to burn puppet too to rest her.

I like this theory a lot! There are a few issues with it, something that comes to mind is part of Henry's speech: "And to you, my brave volunteer [...] I have a feeling that you are right where you want to be. I am remaining as well," This language implies to me at least, that Henry wanted to be taken by the fire as well, "This place will not be remembered," even by him. From a story telling stand point there is a possibility that upon seeing his daughter again, he decided he just couldn't go through with it? Especially if he found a way to "save" her. I don't know, lots of interesting things to think about!
These theories that are deemed controversial get me so excited and are always some of my favorites. This has definitely come to one of my favorite theories.
I think it's definitely interesting that the scooper we see in Ruin takes the soul from the mimic, where the scup from SL was shown to inject remnant into the machines.
Interesting take on the "puppet never burns" theory. My guess personally is that Henry never does finish his work on integrating Charlie's soul into the animatronic he creates. I think it was FNAF world where Henry died by Baby's hands? "Everybody please stay in your seat" or something like that? Either way, the fact that there is a scooper in the room suggests Henry is not just aware of the SCUP machine, but maybe he even went down to SL himself or had someone go down there for him to retrieve the specific documents.
2023 and 2035 are only 12 years apart so it's not very unlikely that (what I suspect to have been) Hand Unit's faulty code (which gave birth to glitchtrap) also infected the animatronic Henry was working on. After all, it did have a computer with active access to the areas above, in the pizzeria, so for it to also (albeit indirectly) connect to burntrap's pod, or even higher up the rest of the pizzaplex's wiring, wouldn't be too far fetched.
The only gripe I have is that the security nodes are in the virtual world which I doubt Cassie's dad had access to, which indicates that Vanessa is the one that created the nodes. Yes Cassie's dad could've made the bunny, but that's a bit weird that Henry created the MXES machine itself, then Cassie's dad modified it to fit the bunny, then Vanessa used the VANNI mask to further cement the mimic into the basement.

I’d like to leave a small opinion/constructive criticism though: recently I’ve been having to watch videos with headphones again due to my sound sensitivity in daily life getting worse and worse to the point I’m constantly wearing noise cancelling headphones.
That same sensitivity is why I’m making thus. It took me a while to get through this video from when it was posted until now because the beeping in the bg of the song at the beginning both distracted me and triggered a part of that sensitivity since it was all I could hear and focus on

the fact that every fnaf theory creator now like rye & john from FuhNaff have to make a disclaimer about 'its just a theory' and 'its okay to disagree' says a lot about where some corners of the fandom are at rn
My one issue with the 'only 3 rooms' problem is that those rooms don't, in any way, appear to connect to a room that resembles the PS Office. There's only one vent shaft to the Gregory Bossfight Room that Monty crawls through.
I'm not too sure about this theory. Especially with the plot holes you pointed out concerning Henry's speech. Saying stuff like "This ends. For all of us." and saying that he is staying inside of the burning location definitely implies that he is going down with the ship.
Plus, there is your belief about Henry trying to bring back Charlie.
While this is a thing in the books, I don't think that it fits with the games.
One thing that people seem to overlook are the *character differences* between Henry from the Silver Eyes trilogy and the games. The book Henry commits suicide via knife endo after the 5 deaths at Freddy's. He ends it without going after Afton, and suffering from mental issues from the illusion discs
Game Henry, on the other hand, doesn't give up and commit suicide. He makes plans, bides his time after the murders (and may or may not try to reopen Freddy's) learns from other's and his own mistakes. Studying Remnant and how to neutralize it, making the mobile audio lures for the animitronics, making Lefty to safely secure and transport the Puppet, looking at the failure at Fazbear Frights and improving on the plan. He builds a fake pizzeria to lure all of the possessed animitronics into a box, a labyrinth with no escape, and burns them all.
This is a character that is proactive, that sincerely wants the tragedies to end and is willing to do it himself. A very different character from the Silver Eyes Henry.
Not just a character in different circumstances, but an entirely different stance on life, and reactions to tragedy. The books parallel the games, but they are not perfect copies. Characters are similar, but not the same, and some actions they take differ.
So just because Book Henry wanted to bring Charlie back, that doesn't mean that Game Henry would do the same

To be honest, when Henry said "All of us can now rest" it was for different reasons. The animatronics sure would be able to go on to the afterlife, but Henry himself can finally rest from what he had done... not to kill himself but to just finally be done with the entire situation and move on with his life.
Considering that we are talking about a game about a lot of weird concepts, nothing is controversial in my opinion. Specially because the devs don't want to clarify anything, they know since the beginning that this kind of theory/speculation is what keeps the franchise so relevant. If they explain the story, it's over. 😂
This is a great theory, however I still think that Vanessa and Gregory had something to do with the security system, and I still believe that defeated Glitchtrap was used for upgrades to M.X.E.S. because of it's access and control over the Pizza Plex, if we assume that the Baobab tree is a parallel to Glitchtrap and it (Glitchtrap) is somehow involved in Vanessa's files being changed and her being promoted(from patient 71 and one of the massages from the base game). Thus I don't think that Cassies' dad is directly involved.
The wrench part is really important, but we cannot say that it was her dad's, or that it is somehow connected to him.
I think that we as a community have to deal with this elephant in the room(which is the VANNI mask/system and FazWrench that can interact with AR nodes), that in some ways can change our understanding of the base game. I think this is a huge topic for speculation and theorizing that deserves a lot of attention.

the thought that M in MXES being Marionette is almost as crazy as finding out that DS stands for dual screen for the first time
On the Propane means henry, that in and of itself is weak because the forklift is propane powered, there is a canister on the back. This doesn't rule out Henry, since it is below FNaF6 and possibly Fredbear's Family Diner, but in a vaccuum, Propane in a room with a forklift is fuel for the fork
Fair, there was other evidence in the stream I should've left in too. Things like the console, the position of the room, the build of the equipment, etc
@RyeToast all that is fair, I was just applying occam's razor to the propane, if the fork wasn't there then the propane is more out of place and thus is more likely to be an actual hint (like nightmarrionne everywhere or the staffbot graveyard).
I'm also not saying it's a red herring, just no more significant than the ruined animatronics being found in their old attractions (aside from possibly freddy in fazerblast, that is almost a nod to the vanny endings, or a shamalamadingdong level twist, assuming "prototype" isn't artistic license).
One thing that is also a coincidence, but interesting is the design choice of Nightmare, Funtime, and Glamrock Freddy having stomach mouth/hatch/tank things, especially seeing the theorized links between them and Michael , and Crying Evan with Gregory (assuming the Neo-Afton Kids thing with Glamrock Freddy, Gregory and Vanessa)
While the idea that Henry was the one that made MXES isn’t a bad one, why would he make MXES into a rabbit, which is what William is usually associated with, and why would the Security and Child Nodes be in the modern Pizzaplex if MXES is an old security system?
I do like the idea that MXES stands for Marionette Experiment Enshroudment System, but it’s hard to say exactly. 🤔
I do hope we’ll see MXES again, because he’s my favorite character in Ruin.
The “It’s been down there for a long time” could definitely be referring to the fact that it’s been in the FNAF6 location for what seems to be at least ~7 years before SB, that’s obviously what he meant, not a bad theory per se, just not too much proper evidence to support it, There’a no way that The Mimic isn’t in the FNAF6 location and the room that it was trapped inside of in RUIN, it couldn’t have been in that room specifically for that long…
Also the animatronics were never in the Burner rooms in FNAF6, they were in the vents, not the Burner rooms, it makes more sense (especially considering Henry’s line of “I’m remaining as well, I am nearby” because he literally is like either under or above them depending on circumstances, he was probably in the same room that the recharge station is in and he burnt to death in there, now I could still see the machine itself being down there for a lot longer but it was definitely not used as M.X.E.S until Gregory and/or Vanessa trapped The Mimic…
I think we are taking huge leaps assuming Cassie's dad was anything more than probably a technician in the same way a mechanic, to being the creator and once again "genius inventor". How many genius inventors and mad scientists does this franchise needs!
Being honest, I don’t like the whole Baby/Mimic and Charlie/MXES theory, but it seems that’s where the story is going, at least as a “parallel”.

Those lines made me think.. We have general information on how everyone was lured to the FNAF 6 location.
We know that MXES can alert the pizzaplex animatronics to a location so.... it may not align perfectly, but what if it was originally the system that assured everyone was lured to the pizzeria?
If we go with the idea that Cassie's dad, or really anyone, updated it for use with security measures in the pizzaplex, then we could assume that the luring code was repurposed as the security alerting code!
Sorry for the interruption, but something came to my mind. Gregory only talks to you through the walkie. How would he get into the speaker system to start with? Perhaps the whole speech is the mimic because it's basic language with vague to no explanations.
The reason of why Henry failed is because the Puppet wasn't there, the Puppet died in the Fazbear Fright books, fighting against the Afton amalgamation, Henry then Henry where still there, in the FNAF 6 local while the Fazbear Fright books happends, that's my theory
I think we can pretty surely say that charlie’s dad is integral to figuring everything out. What I at least got from the plushies is this theme of abandonment from a father figure. It’s the neglection of charlie/elizabeth that lead to their demise. Daughters failed by their fathers. I think that maybe that could be what’s being alluded too.
This is just something I've though of now, but I personally think that the glitchtrap virus was trying to free the mimic and that the mimic almost escaped before the pizzaplex was destroyed. I'm not sure what stopped it from escaping while the pizzaplex was open, but anyways.
After the pizzaplex was destroyed, I think that someone realised that the mimic kept almost escaping and broke in to block the mimic in with the concrete, and made the security nodes and M.X.E.S system after the pizzaplex was destroyed, which my admittedly weak evidence is that ruined Roxy is one of the security nodes, which is turned off by using the faz-wrench in her eye socket, which had to be added after security breach as you could see in security breach that her eye sockets were empty.
To sum it up, I think that someone or something came into the pizzaplex after it was destroyed to block in the mimic and made the M.X.E.S system and the security nodes to stop people from letting the mimic out. My evidence is that Roxy was modified to be a security node after the events of security breach.
I'm not sure if this was the general consensus among the community or what weight it would hold, but I just wanted to share my ideas. Also I wrote this before watching the video
My thoughts on the mimic from a comment i posted on a superhorrorbro's fnaf videos:

What i think happened was that the mimic was created a long time ago but then locked away once it started to replicate violent behavior. Then Henry used the plot of land to build the FNAF 6 location (perhaps not knowing of the monster below). Then Fazbear Entertainment used the same plot to build the Pizzaplex, rediscovering the mimic and trying to work with it, even scaning it into the VR game (which created Glitchtrap). But when they figured out that it was to dangerous the locked it away again in the same place and added MXES for extra security and stole back the circuit boards sent to scan into the vr game (being to late by then).
Just like in the books they put the mimic1 program in everything, like the animatronics and probably the Blob (which is probably the game version of the Storyteller)."

I think maybe Henry said what he said about giving charlie a rest was a lie to make the others think that he's burning himself and charlie. He also said "I am remaining as well." implying that he stayed to burn himself, which also would make no sense, which makes me think, for one reason or another, he lied about burning himself and his daughter. Possibly so no one bothers him and charlie, since, nobody will suspect that he's still alive, trying to bring charlie back, if they think they're both already gone for good.

as much as i like the idea that henry coulda built the mxes, the only issue i find is the puppet is canonically and strictly know as that: the puppet. we refer to it as the marionette back in fnaf2, but the character encyclopedia (flimsy evidence, ik) refers to every variant of the puppet as blank puppet. it feels and sounds nit picky, and i really wish i wasnt, but its something that i cant shake off. that being said, this sounds so similar to the stitchwraith origin story, i just wish its story had some connection to the current lore

One thing is... the game tells us MXES''s purpose via the Gregory elevator speech. It was made to trap and hold the Mimic.
Gregory says it. But he is also a character who may not know the origins of the device. He knows what it is being used for now, but maybe not its original purpose.
But I think the MXES being as old as it looks makes me think it has been there for a long time.

Somehow I only just realised but the wires parts on the mimics legs might be Funtime chicas Endo parts and the arms look very similar to music man’s and both were in fnaf 6

3:10 The legs are mismatched, but the arms actually have the same base design, it's just that one of them has damage that removed a layer of its telescoping mechanism. The hands are mismatched, though.
15:30 I mean, it's better than yet another rationalization for the Mimic being Baby. That one's genuinely frustrating to me.
My main issue with this is that literally in Tales the Mimic is sent to the Pizza Place not the Pizzaplex. The Pizza Place is still above ground and the Pizzaplex is still under construction.
Another thing is why study the Mimic if his code is literally in the hands of Fazbear Entertainment, being a previous owner he should be able to get his hands on that code.
Wasn't it confirmed in the books (twisted ones) that the cave with a waterfall and glowing mushrooms and the facility where costumes of a "a massive contorted bird-like creature with a wide, curved beak" are kept where built under Henry's house?
