    With a change of tires, you can bust out off road anytime you’d like. Then jump back on the tarmac. Get used to standing and pitching the bike about. It is an amazing machine.

      You are spot on with that comment and I think that is why we are all standing in line to get our hands on one. The price is competitive and very little has the look, build, sound and ease of use for this price. Then we will get all the OEM accessories that makes the bike like how you would like it. For so many people this will be a great bike to not feel like they too high or falling behind on some twisties. Its all up to the rider and its easy to live with. Thanks for the comment

    Such a beautiful machine especially on a lower budget. Royal Enfield interceptor and these are the only two sexy retro motorcycles with great power and great design for the price. 40 and 47 bhp are pretty good for the price and especially the fit and finish are top notch.

    Great review. A short first gear on a scrambler is really useful on very rough ground. I live down a long rough track and the ability to ride at walking pace is a great help, especially in bad weather.

      Awesome well that is great. Its something to mention as most people will be use to a longer gear if I think of all the bikes I have had. But you are spot on. Short first can allow you for more low end control. And like some guys say put some knobby tyres on and you have a very capable bike. Thanks for watching and the comment.

      Yes to crawl at walking space..my Bullet 500 & Scrambler400x both do that so well. Not the Intercptr though -at 1200 rpm idling, in first she does 20kmph idle. So it's brakes+ clutch if you want to ride slower. For a torquey tractable understressed mill, I dont know how this works out...too tall 1st gear maybe

      @Andre-Mostert  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it looks like a lot of people are looking to change the front gear to be the same as the speed 400 to make the first gear a bit longer. But I will test this out when I do get one. They are so rare at the moment here in the UK.

    Got mine in lime green last month to add to REs 500 (2015) & 650 (2021)...
    Thing is..its sweet spot is about 5000 rpm..about 60mph..
    She can cruise at 70-75 mph but will stress out that plant doing it.
    Lovely suspension, steering geometry and riding ergos..
    Its a machine that grows on you

      Glad you are enjoying the bike, I want to chop my T7 in for one but everyone is buying the bike so I have to stand in a line lol. Enjoy the bike and keep on exploring.

      No problem, after this test ride I manged to get a green one just because someone pre-ordered one and did not like the light from the alarm on the bike so handed it back. I jumped on the deal. Grats on getting one and hope you get it soon.

    All you need to do is change the front sprocket to a 15 tooth, and this bike is perfect

      Loads of people are doing this and its on my list as soon as my local dealer get some other bits in I am still waiting for. I must say the accessories has been very slow to get in. Thanks for the comment and the tip

    You pronounced garage and Karoo correctly, but where did you get 'horn' from? Maybe from the Karoo??😊
    Liked your review though! Nice bike!

      Awesome thanks for the feedback. Must be a mixture of SA, English and some USA in there lol. I must say I would like to ride this bike around the Karoo with the endless gravel tracks and some sinkplaat sections lol. Keep well and thanks for the comment.

    did you try the CF Moto 450 MT as a comparison.

    • @Andre-Mostert
      @Andre-Mostert  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ooh no, I did check the bike out and I know there is a dealer close buy that might get some in so I will have to go and have a look. Its a great looking bike if you have to compare it to the Honda CRF Rally and it looks like its got more go. Worth a check I would say at that price. Thanks for the comment

      @Andre-Mostert  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes a really great looking retro style scrambler that does not feel like a small dinky bike and at this price there are very little to compete. Thanks for the comment and hope you can get some riding on the EUC this weekend. The weather has just been bad.

    test road one, its slow AF
    fun bike tho

    • @Andre-Mostert
      @Andre-Mostert  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes if you need proper speed then this is not the bike but as you say its a fun bike and the scrambler is lower geared so gets up to speed with a nice punch. Thanks for the comment and I might take the other one out too to compare. You just gave me a thought thanks

      @knackeredrovers 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Slow AF? What are you comparing it to?

    • @Andre-Mostert
      @Andre-Mostert  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I have the T7 at the moment and its got way more poke off the line. At the top end yes but for the riding I am doing around the back roads here in the UK where the roads are crap you dont really need anything more. But if you going to be smashing out the miles on the motorway and you want to do long distance touring and you want to keep up with your mate on their T7, KTM's and BMW's then you are going to need more power. Also if you are a heavier rider. But for the price and what its capable of its impressive.

      @@knackeredroversvalid point, i find most motorcycles slow these days, test road a 1200 ST and even that motorcycle was a bit underwhelming (compared to online reviews). I have been spoiled by my Daytona 675...

      @knackeredrovers 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      A Daytona 675? You’re not exactly drawing a fair comparison are you?

    I don't much care for red, but my red 1200xc is fantastic, now, my next bike will probably be red, same as all my gear!
    Carnival red. Great color.

      You seem colorful Bro

    • @Andre-Mostert
      @Andre-Mostert  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      haha yes this is a nice deep red that really pops and for a bike at this price its pretty special. That 1200XC is a beast. I would like to ride one to compare it to the GS I had but at the moment for me its just to big. But then again I might go out and do a little ride. Thanks for the comment.

      I can only apologise as its driving me nuts too. I have a new mic setup that arrived last week and I am going to test it out tomorrow and hopefully this will sort it out. Keep well and thanks for the feedback.
