    My new favorite method to bind off slouchy style hats!

    Great tutorial!! Thank you so much for going step-by-step, and for explaining the pattern! I used a 41-peg loom (I just wasn't able to finish the last sequence or two) and my hat turned out *way* better than the usual tie-off method. I'll definitely be using this method for all the hats I make in the future! Thank you!!

      Do you use it for regular beanies that are not slouchy? Was wondering if it would look right on a regular beanie for a baby? The baby beanie was made using traditional knit stitch on a loom, not e wrap, not u wrap, not flat stitch, just traditional knit stitch where the inside looks like all purl

    Does it matter if you go left or right? I notice you go to your left but I always go to my right. My hats look ok but was wondering if you're left handed or does the direction of the knit matter. Thanks for sharing.

    Relax and explain. I picked up your nerves. I followed the first row but then I got lost but kept going, resulting in big holes when I pulled the drawstring. It was easy to fix because of the thick fuzzy yarn I was using. Thanks for explaining the abbreviations, I will try again on a mock hat instead of a Christmas present.

    This makes it so much easier to understand the slip stitch. Thank you so much.

    Cute hat with slouchy hat. Wondering if you have other decrease method for other hats with no holes? Just wondering. Like this one. So soft.

    I love this video, this method makes the hats look so much better. I do have one question....
    I was a little confused at the end of Row 4, do we complete Row 5 with just E-wrap knit before we bind off the hat?

      +Wendy Trecartin Yes I ewrap each peg left on the loom for row 5 and then do the drawstring bind off.

    Help! I tried it but the loops wouldn’t move over to the pegs as easily as yours did. What did I do wrong?

    Great video! Would this work for any size loom? I typically use a 36 or 41 Peg loom.

    Does it matter if you work counter clockwise as opposed to clockwise?

    • @pmg1180
      @pmg1180 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      lorelei colbert nope. It doesn’t matter. It’s just our preference. Just do it opposite. That’s all
