I did the Chinese weave but found with this bind off it caused gapping. I closed most of them at the end and it looks okay with a flat top star effect. This bind off probably works best with a knit, purl and or garter stitch. Thank you Love to Loom as always good to learn new techniques. X
Hmm, I've done it with that for a friend I made a maroon color hat in the Chinese Waves but didn't have any gaping at all. What weight yarn were you using? I used Charisma which is a bulky 5
Love To Loom I see it is simple and I know u r busy. Can u please let me know if it is garter rib, EW R, P R? Did u fold brim over? Is it just EW on body? No lengthy response. Love to have as a go to. Much appreciated.
@@MrsRynsai Great. One last question. At the end, when you are putting the yarn through the loops of the first peg then removing it off the peg do you need to back through the first peg at the end before you remove the whole hat off the loom? I see that others seem to do this, but you just end on the last peg and not the first peg again.
It's just as I show, no going through the first again. Just be sure you're not cranking it and do it slowly enough to tighten each section to prevent loose areas.
Does this replace removing the hat from the loom and putting it on a 24 peg loom to finish and cast off? This didn’t work for me I ended up ripping the hat out.
Love your video, just 1 question, I am using a 31 peg loom for baby hat, what would you recommend since it is an uneven number? Do you just ignore the odd peg? Thank you for your inspiration...
Ended up with alot of loose yarn on the inside and not sure how to save the hat. Tried to email you a photo but it said it couldn't be delivered. Edit: Seems I somehow destroyed the top of my hat.... Not sure what I did wrong...
The best video I’ve found 😅n decreasing the crown! Thank you so much. My hat turned out so lovely

My fav. ! I had trouble with others... I use this on my 60 peg loom and it works for me way easier than others.. thanks!!!

Great video! And great view! Thanks Michelle!
Thanks Paulette! 💜

This technique is a game changer!
Thanks sweetie!
Thanks. This is terrific. I'm so glad to have found out how to this. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you Judi and Happy Holidays to you as well my friend
Thanks this is a great way to close off a hat. I'd never seen this way and it's a lot easier than what I've been doing. *hehe* Thanks again.
Wow, that is easy. Thank you.
You're welcome!
Please tell me where to get that nail polish on your nails though💅🏼.
I walk into my nail salon and just tell my tech to anything she wants on my nails so I have no idea... I'm sorry!
Awesome video!
After all my years never quite satisfied; this is great. Can u provide hat and yarn and pattern. Great hat for my sons. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks Debra I used Lion Brand Color Made Easy and it's just a simple beanie for one of my hubby's coworkers, nothing special.

I just did a quick e-wrap garter for the border and twisted stockinette for the body
Love To Loom Thanks so much. Really appreciate your response and your creativity.
@@MrsRynsai That sounds like what you were doing with that Ear Warmer. Great idea. :-) That twisted stockinette is a sweet stitch. :-)
Will this work for the 80 peg 3/8" loom? or do I need to make it a 5 or 6 peg decrease?
Yes ma'am I use it all the time for 80 pegs also

Love the video! I've been trying a few things to lessen the bulk in the crown and this looks perfect.
Hello
Would you do this using the
e wrap???
You could but it would be much looser and might look a little messy
Are the decreasing rows in addition to your length? Or should the decreasing rows be included in the final length?
I get to my desired length and start the decrease because it will lay flat once complete
Can you use this on large and small gauge looms? Thanks for the video!
ABSOLUTELY 👍

Yup! 😎
Is there a specific reason NOT to knit off when moving peg 4 over to 3 at the time and waiting for knit when you wrap again? Just curious.
I find that it get too "clunky" when it's knitted and moved

Sure, it's just an extra to pick up 😉
Will it work for 48 pegs loom
As I mention in the video, it will work for ANY loom that you would use for a hat
Thanks I will give it i try
