    A few points I need to discuss that add onto this theory heavily (this is gonna be LONG)
    1: The original translation of the prologue/mystery narrators dialogue (in Japanese) was basically
    For me, for them, for you
    We are all running out of time
    No matter what, never let go of my hand
    2: One thing I noticed that i'm mad people never discuss with this theory is the lyrics of Jamil's rap in the performance of "Absolutely Beautiful" in chapter 5. Now it's a song that's mostly about being beautiful and superior but suddenly this rap is thrown in and the lyrics translate to
    The thorns that intertwine, the clock that starts to turn
    Under watchful eyes, such a cold gaze
    Silently and faintly torn apart, and becomes foolish
    Avoiding trouble; praying not to be saved
    Boom Boom Boom, i'm taking the damage
    Boom Boom Boom, bad steering
    Whether that heart is the real deal, or a counterfeit,
    Only god knows
    3: If you read the manga's anthology comics (which are fun extra stories in between chapters) the MC is mysteriously absent from ALL these events, even the ones about friends just hanging out. There was even a point where they referenced Jamil's overblot and MC was never even mentioned or shown almost like they didn't exist. Grim is even here but is mostly seen with the cast and never the MC. It makes me wonder if these comics are actually pre-MC time loops if this theory is true
    4: This is freaking Yana Toboso we're talking about, the creator of Black Butler AND it's most infamous plot twist that they carefully THREW in our faces for years without us even realizing the evidence was right there in front of us

      I noticed this too. If you pay attention to exactly what Crowley is saying, he's giving us a choice ( 4:48 ). Meaning that if we refused, he'd just look for someone else. I've also considered the possibility of TWST breaking the 4th wall because of the Greek mythology and Beans Day. Sooner or later M/C is gonna realize that the Ignihyde mascot is Hades, and in Beans Day, M/C doesn't hesitate to make the connection to Jack and the Beanstalk. TWST breaking the 4th wall might be the answer to all of this. That's where the Pen, Canvas and Ink theory comes in. If these events are just stories in our world, M/C might have the power to rewrite the fates of the characters.

    I have seen almost all the theories, and I think this one is the most likely. ( I don't think it will be worse than kingdom hearts anyways ahaha. ) Mickey has already seen the same dream 3 times. And on the Night Raven College emblem, there are 3 keys (2 overblotted) and at the end of the opening, you can see 3 books. This could suggest that they are probably on their third time. (although I think they are on their hundredth time I don't have much evidence for that but I'll keep it in mind.) In your counterpoint with Crowley's voice, he does this voice in the introduction in Masterchef events, but also when you buy voices in the exams, it's very quick but you can somehow hear it ("About School 1"). And in the trailers too. So for me, yes it's probably his voice.
    What you have to remember is that it's an "alice in wonderland" work, more precisely from the book "Through the Looking-Glass", and that there are chances they have many secrets hidden behind the texts. In his interview, Yana said his work behind the game helped her a lot with his writing skills but also she tells so we should be prepared for what's coming! ( I'm thinking the traitor's theories could be true after all... ). Also some seiyuu ( Riddle, Idia ) and the composer of the ost and the opening for twisted wonderland in their interviews, chose Crowley as their favorite character which makes the headmage even more suspect.
    ( you can check the interviews in English on the tumblr blog of "meatteabusinessmagazine". )

      That's an interesting detail about the emblem! Idk if we as a fandom wanna consider the novel and manga canon or not and obvs franchises gonna franchise, but if this is the 3rd loop, it's kind of interesting how we have 3 versions of Yuu so far between all the media. I know this won't have any bearing on the plot whatsoever and it's a coincedence, but it's kinda a cute one!
      Your comment about Kingdom Hearts terrifies me though; I never got far in the first game and I'd been thinking of restarting my file so I can actually beat the game but that comment is making me reconsider that lmao jk jk.
      I actually know some Japanese (my reading's better than my speaking tho admittedly) so I personally don't need a translator for interviews, but I'm sure that'll be a good resource for others! I don't see many translators tackling the interviews.

    the creature which the students - except the ones from Diasomnia which is unavailable to use then - are fighting on the Prologue, seems to be an overblotted version of Grimm which includes several traits of the overblot of the main lead character bosses on the story i.e. you could see the tentacles of Azul, the cobra-tail of Jamil, some wings and legs as well other dragon traits maybe from Malleus, and well though it isn't noticeable could be parts of Leona, Vil and Idia's overblots too though not so noticeable on him.

      Well I don’t know if you’ve seen the trailer of chapter 7 in a subtitle translated version (or finished chapter 6), but in this trailer (and with other infos like Lilia being gone in a week and Yu trying to return home) Maleus says that he will put someone (probably Yu) asleep and make that someone the hero of their story before overblotting in the trailer.
      But what if something goes wrong besides Malleus overblotting ? What if an accident happens to Yu and Grim is overblotting himself himself and starts destroying the whole school ? We’ve seen something similar happen in the end of chapter 6 with the real Ortho being trapped forever in the underworld. So who knows maybe that before Malleus turns back to normal something terrible will happen to Yu and will have for consequence Grim overblotting we’ll see at the end of chapter 7.

      @@cafetomedragongrimborncdg1406 yeah I knew about the theory of Malleus not wanting to loose Yuu and well also dealing that he might loose Lilia at the same somehow. That will be very good reasons for him doing an overblot.
      Neverthless if also happens the Grimm's overblot thing as in the Prologue had happened before, and all the idea of this story being a loophole-cycle which also has stressed Malleus a lot for having to repair it over and over endlessly, will came into a Chapter 8 after the proper Diasommnia arc, and then will happen the Epilogue, so the whole Twisted Wonderland story - if not left open for furtherly expansion with other villains in other dimensional realities for other games or the anime version that Disney is now working on - the whole story will get 9 or 10 chapters since the Prologue, all the 7 House-Domitories Leaders arcs and a final main-integrative arc (and an Epilogue maybe).

    Arguably, you can place the event stories in the timeline if you think about it. At least roughly. Some of them have specific months or seasons that we know they happen in. Beanfest takes place in February, the Halloween events obviously take place in October, and the Fairy Gala takes place in early spring. The other events can be roughly placed based on the weather and who mostly interacts with Yuu and how. For example, Halloween takes place before Chapter 4 so Kalim and Jamil don't really know Yuu and hardly interact with them at all. But the Fairy Gala takes place after Chapter 4 so they both know Yuu well enough that they're kind to them. You can take that same logic and apply it to the other events to roughly place them.

    it's a strong theory, and while I wouldn't be surprised if NRC was in fact in a time-loop, I kind of think that won't be the case because iirc Yana does state that the story won't be ending with the Overblots and that there's far more content and story spanning after the OB arc. ofc, you can still fit a timeloop into there, but I find it a lot less fitting because of the content afterwards -- if you do a timeloop, then that means you're committing to something: going through the same events a few times but each with new perspectives and twists, that's why timeloop stories work.
    also, what that means is that Crowly would have to have handpick a specific person from the other world, that being MC/Yuu. However, because of MC/Yuu's nature in the narrative and as an avatar, there are definitely other people Crowly could've picked that had more skills than MC has been known to have --a strong fighter, a prodigy, someone with an insane EQ. It makes me think that if Crowly did in fact summon someone (I'm a bit nifty on that, but I just like the idea of MC being someone completely random), that it was just. Random. He didn't really choose one person in specific.
    And one thing I find hard to believe is that if this is in fact a timeloop, couldn't Crowly easily have just killed Grim in another loop? If his goal was to stop the destruction of NRC that's the best course of action to go. Grim would end up at NRC trying to join no matter what, and Crowly is easily powerful enough to kill him without so much as a sweat.
    Also, this is Grim in an OB form with other aspects of others' OBs, meaning that the other dorm leaders have already OBed. This gives another point to just 'kill Grim' for Crowly.
    TLDR; A jumbled mess of random thoughts, but unless there's a reason Crowly can't just kill Grim in a second timeloop, there's no real reason for MC to be summoned (*if* they were summoned)

      one reason why crowley [or anyone] wouldn't be able to end the disaster by killing grim preemptively is the possibility that they never realized who that monster was in previous loops. during all other OB events, there are two entities; the victim and the phantom. grim takes on a fused role of both, and there's a good chance that if he's not with yuu then he doesn't actually get enrolled at all [he'd be a lost monster rather then an unruly familiar, there'd be no one to vouch for him to stay, etc]. this would make it so he'd be collecting the stones without anyone even realizing it, and the turning point of vil's OB wouldn't have witnesses [aside from hearsay] so people would only notice at the last minute when it's too late to stop him.

  • @0randomnerd025
    @0randomnerd025 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    Something that I think is interesting is that the Monster in the prologue looks Like Grim if we look at it's head with the burning ears. But it also seems to have features from other overblot students like Azuls Tentacles and The markings Leona had on his face. Do let's just assume the monster is grim for a minute. If Crowley just summoned a human (us) as a last resort and Grim really is the disaster monster then that couldn't be. Because grim only stays on campus and eats these stones because we are there. If we weren't He would have just been kicked out and that's that with no access to the overblot stomes. So I think that might be a good counter argument

  • @kalindhiseneviratne8247
    @kalindhiseneviratne8247 2 ปีที่แล้ว +30

    The time loop would be incredible if done right, but I think there are too many failed time problems in Pop Culture for the writers to risk it. It’ll take too much time and effort to perfect. It also clashes with a lot of other plot points, mostly concerning Grim. His background is still a mystery and (as others have also mentioned) Crowley had plenty of opportunities to get rid of him (in more than one way, if u know what I mean). The progression of the plot after the OBs will also make it difficult to keep up the loop. Unless they end the loop after the OBs and then continue.
    As for Grim being Cerberus or the Chimera, possible but I'm not too sure... Cerberus is a dog, and grim seems to be more feline. In the JP & EN versions he's referred to as 'tanuki' and weasel, respectively. Tanuki is sometimes translated as raccoon-dog, which could be in support of the Cerberus theory. But if the official translation was weasel... I honestly don't know what to think. I used to be in support of the Cerberus theory, especially after he was examined in C6, but now I'm not too into it.
    Then there's M/C- the exact reason for being summoned is debatable. But what I think we should focus on is the fact that the intention was to summon anyone. So the requirements for being summoned must be very vague, or a large group possesses them. The problem here is that it clashes with Silver's claims of knowing M/C. The reason why I think it's possible is because M/C sees visions, & Silver sleeps a lot. It's possible they met through a vision and just forgot about it. If that's the case, M/C themselves coming here was fated, regardless of Crowley knowledge.

    Ooh this is a good one! I’m still new to a lot of the TW theories circling around, I recently got introduced to the Ace Traitor theory and while I don’t fully subscribe to it, it definitely has some strong basis (though tbh I personally think the clues could be more of a nod to the fact he starts the chain of reactions leading to Riddle’s overblot, which would be in line with creating chaos if he is meant to be the “Joker”). I haven’t heard of this one or the 7 sins theory yet though, I need to do more research!
    Overall I definitely agree with you from what you’ve presented here. It’s a strong theory but idk if the creative team would make such a big plot twist like that, it’d be quite a risky move. That being said, the tutorial fight is almost certainly significant even if we don’t quite know how yet (with the most obvious theory being foreshadowing for a Grim overblot from eating those damn crystals 😂) the time loop would definitely explain it, but maybe it could be a prophetic vision we had when being pulled across worlds? Or perhaps just a meta nod to future events? I also feel like there’s an underlying reason why Yuu specifically was pulled through that hasn’t become known yet, so the time loop theory does make sense in that regard. I mean if they don’t have the power to send us back then how did they have the power to bring us here? Future (or past? Time loops are confusing 😂) Crowley pulling in someone from another world back to the beginning in order to break the cycle would definitely make sense, maybe something changes later on in the game where our world becomes known/available to them when it wasn’t previously. But there are a lot of other potential reasons why Yuu was transported, and who knows maybe it was a genuine mistake that we’re here.

      Oh it's been a LONG time since I've rad the Ace Traitor theory. I'm with you that I don't fully believe it, however I think it would be really interesting to see in the story and lowkey I want it to happen bc I wanna see what would happen in canon alkjfd
      But yeah, I agree with you that doing this would be a huge risk by the dev team. Considering some of the things Yana has done in Black Butler, I don't think she'd be fully opposed to doing a time loop, but it would def be A Thing. Although I guess it's also possible that we haven't actually STARTED the time loop yet and the beginning is showing us that it WILL happen but it just. Hasn't yet. idk man I hate time travel and time stuff alkjsdhflkjdsf
      I also agree, I think Yuu could be here specifically. Either Crowley's lying about not being able to send Yuu home or maybe there actually IS something wrong and he can't. I love Yuu but it's very sus on why he brought a magicless, presumably helpless, human into Twisted Wonderland.

      @@princessmacarons9347 Oh god speaking of Yana and theories that became canon, I’d nearly forgot about Black Butler’s plot twist. I knew someone who was a big proponent of the 2CT so they were VINDICATED when that came out 😂. It was like the Steven Universe Pink Diamond twist reveal or the Gravity Falls “Not What He Seems” episode, just absolute chaos. I think with theories like that, where there is solid evidence but no one actually thinks it’s going to be canon, BUT THEN IT DOES??? God if it’s done well it is soooo satisfying. I must admit that I’m not adverse to time distortion/loops etc, but it just has to be pulled off well that you have a clear idea of how everything fits together. Like for example if this time loop theory is true, then they need to clearly distinguish between timelines and explain in easy to understand terms. It’s so easy for time travel plots to just handwave away the inconsistencies even though it makes it really hard for the viewer to keep track what the effects and consequences are. I think if they go this route, it should be relatively easy to understand, since according to the theory we haven’t taken part in the loop before, we’ve just been pulled in for this current cycle so to speak, so time should still be acting somewhat linearly from our perspective.
      But yeah anyways I like the idea of being introduced to more TW theories so I’d definitely be interested in watching more theory videos from you if you decide to do any more!

    Side note with slight spoilers:

There are some parallels between Yuu & Arthur from both Sword in the Stone & Arthurian Legend, plus one of the characters (I think Silver) comments on how MC has good sword skills. Plus, the end of Pomefiore Arc introduces us to the headmaster of Royal Sword Academy: a Twist version of Merlin.
    If the time loop theory is officially debunked, then I theorize that maybe MC was supposed to go to RSA instead, but somehow, & for some reason, Crowley or the Dark Mirror intervenes & they get sent to NRC instead.

    I'm not dissing time loops, but my hope is that the opening was actually a vision by Yuu while sleeping in the gate. We have seen time and time again that exactly 3 days before every overblot, that Yuu gets a vision dream leading up to it. Not only that but Yuu is not seeing what we are told is the history of the great 7; but in fact is seeing what actually happened in the movies and most likely is what actually happened in the past. Someone or something has changed/lied about the history of TW and I am honestly considering that Yuu was summoned by the great 7 to stop a calamity.
    Why summon a magicless human from another world? Because someone without a magical core can't overblot. Maybe Yuu is actually walt disneys heart? My 2nd theory is that the mirror is the big bad himself and summoned Yuu as a sleeper agent to get close and destroy the mirror and let him out of it.

    Oh fudge. I just realized the Chimaera aka Overblot Grim destroyed the Dark Mirror to keep MC in Twisted Wonderland since without him, Grim would be expelled since they are both registered as one student. Does this mean that there could be a season 2 story that follows events of what happened after the Dark Mirror is destroyed? I am not sure. For all we know the answer probably won't require the mirror and Grim jumped to conclusions. However i do hope we get more adventures in this wonderful world, within the main story and not just through events. As much as i love the events i want the main story to let us explore more of the magic schools if the answer to sending the MC home lies in a fetch quest off campus after Crowley explains the situation to the head masters of the other magic schools. Also i find it a tad frustrating that the event storylines and cutscenes are cut out after one completes the event and it expires. Leaving only the Twisttunes if any to add to your collection. I like going back through the story and the cutscenes and mixing and matching when the events and vignettes occur in the timeline. And not having the event cutscenes in a library after completing said events is frustrating especially when we cant be expected to rely on youtube as much because at any point they could be taken down for copyright at any moment.

    Since I'm still a lil new to TW's story, I do find the time loop theory to be interesting, but I'm keeping my full feelings on the matter to a minimum.
    In addition, I could the Prolouge battle as a glimpse to the finale story arc for TW rather than anything else connected to the loop theory. Like with FE Awakening for example, that game's tutorial starts off with us fighting what we assume to be the major antagonist, amd it turns out we're right, but something goes amiss and one of the main leads kill their friend in cold blood. After that we're introduced to a proper tutorial and introduction of the main cast, finding out later on that the Prolouge was a failed future piece the game showed us, and that we can keep that from happening again.
    It's more time travel to change the future(with itself can be considered a time loop), but I don't think the devs for TW would make us deal with a time loop scenario for the plot. At least as far as I know

  • @Melamochi

    I really like this theory and never really thought this to be a time loop event, so its interesting for me to see some of the evidence laid out! And I say 'actually serious' is because we already know that he is known for being more laid back so I feel as if the things happening in school aren't that bad compared to other things or that he knows that the overblots are going to because he knows about the timeline so his voice doesn't go deeper

    This theory would be really cool if it was true, but tbh I have no idea how Grimm (Who's obviously the OB monster in the tutorial battle) Would have even been involved with the OBs to eat the rocks that assumedly created the different mutations that look like the other dorm leader's OBs if Yuu wasn't there. Like the only reason Grimm got to even be a student was because of Yuu, and it would be a super huge coincidence if Grim happened to have gotten himself involved in any OB past like maybe Riddle's.

  • @awaterlily256
    @awaterlily256 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    So yeah, I like to share my opinion on this a little bit.
    1) Well when I first played the game, I thought that we can see the future cause we somehow got some magic. And we are there to prevent the disaster, and after playing through many chapters, I thought that because we are there, the over blots are done without anyone dying. I know this sounds kinda depressing but think about it, when some over blot happens we are all the time there (well that's also because we are main characters too) and it all ends well. And even in the game, it's mentioned how lucky we were that there weren't any deaths too! And I think we somehow are connected to the magic mirrors, cause it always appear and show us the ACTUAL story! And even though we don't have any magic (I realllly hope we have tho), we are the only ones that can see the mirror's images and Mickey. I want to know how we are connected to Mickey too. He couldn't send us here tough, cause he is as bewildered as us about how we can contact each other.
    2) This is about the events, if we are gonna look at the times that they're released and the chapter or season they are connected to, we somehow know each other in events more but if we look at the chapters even if there were an event before the chapter and we somehow make a contact with a character that's not mentioned and it's written like we were just met (sometimes) and it makes me remember the other games and their event's. There are events that there are more ahead of the story that the players are not seen so it CAN be a time loop OR just like the other games too, just some event ahead of the story that makes sense after playing it (like Beanfest).
    3)And here is the time-loop theorie. While I play the game I kinda got the time-loop vibes (cause of the events and Grim's over blot scene) and maybe we see the past that we're not there. But as we go through the story I get more sure that we are there to stop the school got destroyed, and the students too. And it actually makes sense cause we are the only one's seeing the mirror's images. And if the other's see that there might be a chance that things won't go well. So that's why we can see that. But even tho we are sent to prevent this disaster, we can't as the chapters go by and Grim to eath those stones. And what is the reason we are seeing the actual stories if we can't stop the over blots? I want to actually know this. And apart from time-loop theory what will happen if we don't want to go back or want to go back? Well, I rather stay at TW to o back home, ehe. Now let's get back to theory, it could be like Kusuo Saiki's ( if you don't watch it please don't read the rest)...
    In Saiki's universe, he makes a time loop cause he can't defeat the dragon so he made it as time passes ut people don't notice that the time is actually won't goin' and stuck in the same year and just a new year, but they STILL remember the year before the time-loop so I think someone (ehem Crowley, ehem) makes a time-loop that till the disaster is solved, it will repeat after another. But in this loop, the only one that knows what will happen is Mc, which means us. The reason can be that even when Crowley knows what will happen, he can't do anything so he summoned us to there to save them all before everything is destroyed.
    That's all my theories, thanks for reading! I wanna know your opinions too, so if you leave a comment I appreciate it, but please let's not argue about it, but just discuss it.☺😁

    If this theory is real, I wonder if in previous times Crowley let Grim enrolled to NRC just because, thinking that Grim wouldn't be able to survive there anyway because he's not a human. Then the overblots happened, Grim ate the blotted gemstones resulting to Grim's OB and then casualties happened. Desperate, Crowley did some sort of ritual to activate a time loop magic and to summon anything or anyone to prevent the sequences of overblot to happen.
    I kinda wonder about how strong Crowley is since he's the head mage. I assume he's supposed to be pretty strong knowing he's an adult mage, a headmaster, and a fae. We never actually see him using some powerful offensive magic to defeat the OB students though, Crowley is always helped by the rest of the students to defeat the overblots. I wonder if he's not as strong as he used to be after performing the time loop magic and summoning ritual

    • @princessmacarons9347
      @princessmacarons9347  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's a good point! Crowley in some of his more recent voice lines claims he's allegedly very powerful and can't use his magic to the fullest extent bc it would be too much, but tbh whether or not he's lying is up in the air.

    SPOILERS FOR THE END OF CHAPTER 5:
    What if the monster in the tutorial battle is Grim after he attacked the player at the end of the book? The beast is black and has blue flames, and it could be the true effect after he's eaten all of those stones from the Overblots. There's also the dark aura underneath the beast, which could be the blot from the stones; another side effect from eating them all. It's also interesting that we're continuing the story with the Ignihyde dorm; why couldn't the writers have gone with Pomefiore after Ignihyde? I always had this thought that Grim would be perfect for the former dorm, due to his fiery nature, dark and black skin, and light blue fire eerily similar to Hades'. It's also weird that the Diasomnia students are the ones fighting the beasts instead of our main protagonists, so it's clear that they could be helping out for the next chapter or the next one after that, in the Diasomnia chapter.
    Another interesting thing to note are the components of the beast. A viper for a tail, bat wings, an octopus' tentacles, and a lion's paws. Scarabia, Octanivelle, and Savanaclaw are all dorms Grim has visited with the player. I don't see anything of the monster of the Dwarfs' Mine or anything from Heartslaybul, but Grim has definitely eaten the stones from those Overblots.
    So unless my evidence is wrong, Grim is the monster that destroyed NRC and is the final boss of the entire game. The tutorial was mere foreshadowing of it all, and the main cast and other dorm members not being around at all is interesting. Perhaps a sort of calamity happened to them all? Who knows? But with the Ignihyde chapter coming very soon next year, we might not have to wait long to see what's to become of MC and the fate of the school itself.

  • @RonnieFlare17
    @RonnieFlare17 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I'm not 100% convinced of the timeloop theory, but I don't think it's impossible for the story to head in that direction.
    I do think whether or not it turns out to be a timeloop, there's enough evidence that whatever's going on in the prologue--the enemy that looks like an overblot Grim, the ruined room, the automatic defeat of the students--is something important. If not a timeloop, then it could be some kind of vision. After all, if Yuu can dream about things that happened long ago, then powerful magic could scry into the future. Or a potential future.
    Somewhat related, but I do think there's more going on with Yuu's arrival at NRC than meets the eyes. Their dreams, their connection to Mickey Mouse, and the the opening the lines "My beloved lord, my glorious beautiful flower of evil. You are fairest of them all..." the fact that a supposedly non-magical student arrived at NRC at all...something's up.

    I think the reason Grim overblot is with the new release Yuu might get to go home after Malleus's ob and sense Yuu's going home it might mean Grim is going to get kicked out of NRC because Grim and Yuu are one student as stated. So Grim is already sad about Yuu leaving but he won't ever get to become a great mage either at NRC. This is just my theory on how Grim would ob in the first place. The time-loop theory is a good theory and I'm very excited for the book after Book 7 and hopefully we'll get some chapters in the jp server this year. ❤😅

    I honestly view the canonicty of events as similar to side content in Kirby games. In Kirby games, there's often a main "canon" game mode, but there’s also other game modes that do include their own story/lore content. When asked whether or not they were canon, the answer was...
    "The side modes are both canon and non-canon. The events shown didn't happen to the Kirby you play in the main game mode, end of story. But...if, they did happen, they would happen like this, 100%."
    Being that, no, an endless halloween didn't happen to the characters of Twst in the main book story.....but, if something like that WERE to happen to A version of these characters, it would absolutely play out like this, and the details contained within are 100% possible for Twisted Wonderland's world.

    imagine if crowley was actually letting the overblots happen so that grim could eat the stones and become the chimera in the prologue lmao
    (no but what if the stones were what caused grim to overblot/transform into the chimera [point: traits of the different overblotees’ overblot forms observable on the chimera] and that crowley was raising grim to become the chimera [it would explain how grim managed to get in-that, or it’s the ancient magic thingy at work] + why headmaster was just letting the overblots happen [personally i think the ‘flower of evil’ may be referring to grim-or does crowley always refer to the mirror like that or something?] + mc being a beast tamer and therefore getting admitted [so that they can control grim for crowley??? idk man])
    (also crowley’s motive can be harnessing grim’s power for world destruction???? [it doesn’t make sense tbh - or maybe he recognises grim’s potential/magic as powerful and wants it] or sth???? [the time grows scarce line is kinda suspicious] that, and we don’t know a lot about crowley so it’s hard to know [in short, there’s no apparent motive yet - though grim’s ancient magic thingy might be a potential one])
    (potential motive 2.0: crowley actually recognises grim’s ancient magic thing [crowley might be a fae since his ears are pointy + apparently he knows the ghosts since they were alive(i think?) so that might happen] and wants to have it???? or at least keep an eye on it [it doesn’t add up here since then why would he let the overblots happen?])
    (as for why there’s a time loop-crowley could be on his third attempt as he and grim was defeated the first two times and therefore resets it every time he loses [if malleus was strong enough to cause a time loop, then hypothetically crowley may be strong enough to do the same since he’s a fae-but no one knows how strong he is so meh])
    (counterpoints: crowley may be letting the overblots happen since it would actually be the best solution? or sth? like he knows it’s inevitable so he just lets it happen/ grim getting in bc of ancient magic/ mc being a beast tamer so that they can stop grim or at least control grim/ traitor theory not fitting in here[would they betray crowley or mc??? it doesn’t make sense???])
    theory 2.0: crowley is the one instigating time loops to prevent grim from destroying the world/school etc (but why would he let the overblots happen? maybe because they were inevitable??? ihni how to explain away this part)
    i might be overthinking and going insane lmao

    Honestly, I just think it's a flash forward. One common writing trope is showing a bit of the climax in the prologue to make things more exciting. For a literary example, in Twilight, stick with me now, the prologue shows Bella's thoughts as she laying on the ground dying of blood loss, and that point doesn't happen until the climax. The prologue to Persona 5 and all of Deku's narration in BNHA are both examples of a similar concept.
    Plus, the time loop theory falls apart the more you think about it. Like if Crowley knew that Grim was the source of all of his problems, why didn't he kill him when he snuck into Night Raven the second time around? Why didn't Idia let him die during Chapter 6 if he knew Grim was bad news when he had the chance? It also makes Malleus look like a dumbass as well given his powers. How would the rest of the TWST world factor into this? Are they are frozen in time? Like I said, makes no sense.
    To be honest, I think it's just early fandom speculation that was popular when the game came out in the Japan, but has leaked to the west when it was released here. The Japanese fandom seems to love their grim dark theories and content compared to the western one, even when there's little evidence backing it up. They loved the Ace betrayer theory until that was debunked. This could be another case of that.

Why isn't there any progress? Why is it all going smoothly except when he overblots happen? Also i think Leona knows something about those crystals if he does is he getting deja vu? Or is it by pure luck or intelligence that he knows a lead to it? because when he asked if Grim just eat those randomly it looked like he had something in mind.
