Ngl, now I have the urge to make my version of Yuu to be a banshee, that sounded great and never knew of such theory but I like it XD

First Sprying, now Banshees. Every new Yuu theory sounds more convincing than the last. I prefer to think that they don't have powers 'cause it would defeat the purpose of Yuu's arc in relation to the characters & world building. But there are exceptions like Sprying & Banshees that intrigue me. It's not technically magic, but it's not completely mundane either. Also: We are already loosing our heads over the existing characteristics, can you IMAGINE if we got a TWST ELSA?!?! 🤯 The police will be arresting Yana for mass murder!

I have 4 ideas for how this happened/what will happen. Starting with the most likely, but I wish it wasn't the case: 1) TWST is the Yuri on Ice to something else's AOT. I've heard that TWST is more popular than you realize, but more so in terms of numbers than mainstream media popularity. Idk when Black Butler was greenlit, but the fact that the Public School Arc was announced after the TWST anime, but came out before it, is very telling. Not to mention the Green Witch Arc is still in the works, & Yana gets more out of BB over TWST any day. 2) A 12 - 25 ep series. I initially thought that a 12 ep series like Obey me would be both nice & likely, but then I realized it'll be no different from the Vignettes & the anthology comics. 25 eps might be able to cover the OB arcs, but I think we've all had enough of that from the Mangas & the novels. I love these ideas, but there's plenty of content for these specific things. For the unlikely ideas that I would bet my money on: 3) A movie. Or 2. It'll be like the bigger events, with it's own concise plot. Personally, I think this is the best option Disney could go for. I'm no expert, but it seems cheaper than a series, & we can get new content. 4) They're stalling for Post-OB content. Here me out. When EN got the 1st Book 7 update, they started rushing everything! Yes, EN was always trying to catch up to JP, but now JP was pumping out content too. Each post-update break was shorter than the last, & we haven't had a proper event since Tapis Rouge. So maybe they're trying to get something over with in-game, so that they can get on with the anime...?! I'm actually pretty confident in this theory, so I hope we'll get something similar.

Thankfully we have one character inspired by Jack and then Jack, Sally, and Zero in it to !!

NGL i would imagine the same mickey from epic mickey in this somehow for an odd reason why we would get ourselves a hint of a future event story featuring mickey and the nrc freshmen. As for the characters themselves if they would be in TWST like main story or event, 1. As of 2024, Let's pray that we'll be seeing Jack the real pumpkin king unlike the twisted version of him i guess since we know that silhouette is the real deal! and 2. Let's just pray that yana adds the mickey and friends in there and if it's just mickey only, then so be it.

Yeah, Disney will definitely be going over the script with a fine tooth comb, have you seen the stuff they’ve been pumping out? I honestly want Disney going in blind and let the animating studio have fun with the anime so that they don’t ruin any of the important story beats. Like keep the original stuff in the Scarabia chapter the same instead of changing it to the point it’s the complete opposite of Jamil’s character. That got me mad that they changed it that much to the point of downplaying why he feels trapped by the Asim family.

Well fun fact. There was a disney movie that used a banshee. It was called, "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" I only know of it from a old youtube video I used to watch. The youtuber sharing the movie only brought it up as a top 10 list I believe? Of things that scared him as a kid, and the banshee from that movie was one of them. Update: So I found a clip of the movie of the Banshee and it summons a death coach...Which have black horses pulling it... a;dksjf;laksjda Didn't bring this up, but for the anime being green lit and the announcement coming soon after is right on the money. I saw this on twitter when it happened, cause I remember people going to the twst cast and saying. "There is a anime. congratulations." and the VA's where like, "...This is news to us!? Really?" and fans soon where getting mad wondering if they where being replaced and who ever made the announcement or what have you saying, that they have no plans on replacing anyone.

Hi, Two months after this has been posted and just need to say something that I thought of whilst watching. As you mentioned that Phantoms can blend in with direbeasts such as Grim, It made me think. What if Grim is a phantom that somehow formed enough sentience, after the original creator died, to have better control over his emotions and impulses. This could also explain why Grim is so attracted to blot stones whenever they are nearby. This could be disproved via the tests that they ran in styx, however Grim may be a phantom gone wrong or not a full phantom which is why the variations in blot accumulation are so drastic. Another srastic theory is that Grim is our future phantom when the MC is exposed to too much blot after all these overblots and somehow got infected, then Grim was created and causes a disaster in which someone (Probably Crowley) had to go back in time to stop the disaster from happening but accidentally, when teleporting the MC back, brought Grim along. And Grim, who had not been formed at that time, became some sort of half phantom. Just a theory though and probably incorrect but who knows❤

This is just my theory but I think Yuu's situation might be similar to Rachel from Percy Jackson. For those who don't know Rachel is a human that helps Percy on the labirinth because she can see through the mist(magical barrier) and she can see the path and danger ahead on the Labririnth. Although her ability is impressive, she is still a mortal, not a demigod like Percy. Maybe Yuu's scrying or visions might be like you said, like a rare ability but it is not considered magic so he isn't a magician,

A common sentiment is how Leona picks up on details, but doesn't voice it. He might be trying to maintain the I-don't-care impression, which makes me wonder if he's secretly looking into them. He lets himself get captured by STYX despite knowing that captives don't return, so did it have anything to do with Grim eating blotstones? He noticed it in Book 3. Since he knew why STYX was there, he must've done the math & known Grim would be taken too (Which adds more questions to who tipped them off). But, in regards to this, it's better to consider Leona's opinions word for word, rather than not to. We can only tell if it's a throwaway line after the event gets localized, but there's definitely something going on. While I mostly agree with you, I also think: 1) Leona is sensing an impression of magic (traces from a past life as a mage). Or growing magical reserves that didn't exist before. His voicelines may indicate that Yuu was initially magic-less, but is developing something now. Which can tie into; 2) A third party with their own agenda, is working their magic through Yuu, hence affecting Leona's perception of them.

Oh gosh. . . My heart is not ready for this part. Not for the battle maps. Specifically for the story because. . . We know what happens in part 5 of book 7

I have my theory on that but instead of magic, Yuu eventually develops a power to manipulate blots instead. You cannot convince me otherwise about Idia's speculations back book 6 about What If somebody was causing overblots to happen in the first place. I know he brushed it off but it just foreshadow something.

I hope Yuu is 100% magicless. It would be cool if Yuu has "abilities" like being an empath. Allowing them to see and hear the (Hearts) of the people around them.

A possibility with Leona’s line could be that he was comparing Gidel to Yuu, saying that Gidel, much like Yuu, does not have any or much traces of magic on him/Leona does not smell magic on Gidel, either. That possibility aside, though, this is super interesting! I do not know much about scrying, so I never considered that maybe that is what Yuu could be experiencing and maybe that Yuu being around magic is bringing the ability out more, potentially? Yuu having some sort of psychic or scrying abilities would be pretty cool to have confirmed someday. (I had to backtrack to the second Halloween event because I remember the word “scrying” coming up, but it was in a fan translation. The fan translator called the mirrors that boys were given to keep in touch with the teachers while in the spectral realm a “scrying mirror.” The translator did include a note saying that more literally the mirrors were known as “people watch mirrors.” I had to look up scrying at the time, but didn’t do deeper research beyond its basic meaning, haha.)

Hmmmmm this is interesting. After this talk, it connects with some afterthoughts i have had over the game. Like i saw it as yuu having visions but i thought here later on its more on the claravouit type of visions. And this scry theory could be under the claravouint/seer umbrala (kind of think about madame leota type) and the reason of why yuu have this now could be because the school ground is a magic hotspot to bring it forth like the saying of hotspots for ghost/paranormal activity in the real world (like lilia eksplaind with the ghost being visibul on schoolground)

6:45 well in the manga, Enma was already asleep so i dont think we see him sleepwalking at all and to reference this, like thru the mirror, maybe his astral form like mickey's comes out and goes into the mirror to see the visions.

E claro, você pode estar se perguntando: como ele enviaria um aviso se a S.T.Y.X é uma base de pesquisa secreta? Calma que já vou falar disso (ou digitar) 😅 Pode ser que ele saiba dessa base desde a Era Dos Deuses, ou seja, ele é um cara muito velho 👴😅 pois poderia ser ou Chernabog (de acordo com o curta metragem e as lendas, ele é o deus da magia negra ou da escuridão em si) ou um dos membros da família Júpiter (pra quem jogou ou assistiu o livro 6, vai entender o que eu quis dizer). Anota aí, UM dos, pois nem todo membro de uma família é boa. E por quê ele mandaria esse aviso pra S.T.Y.X? Porque se não, o Ortho não teria ouvido a voz do verdadeiro Ortho, e então não desligaria o sistema Cerberus, Idia não teria descoberto que o irmão mais novo estava lá, ido para o portão do submundo, e não perderia o controle do blot. E aí? Tá ligando os pontos? 😏 O que eu quero dizer é que, nem tudo o que vemos é verdade. Talvez o Crowley só esteja preocupado mesmo pela a possibilidade de alguém encontrar os cristais de blot e usá-las de maneira errada E ele é um cabeçudo mesmo deixando o seu trabalho para os outros (coitado(a) do(a) Yuu 😔). Imagine later in the game that Yuu actually does have magic after all? That would be a crazy plot twist! If that's true then, kind like Grim, Yuu must have some kind of blessing that seal their magic away that not even the fire lotus can hurt Yuu because the spell was that powerful, because it would explain the dreams of the great seven Yuu's been getting throughout the whole game. I mean, it's just a theory so, who knows if Yuu really does have magic or not.

One possible thing from the main story that came to mind. When Lillia first finds Yu and co in the dream, he notes they all have a "fey blessing" on them. Yes it was speaking of an entire group. But its possible Malleus (or maybe another fey? Mal seems the most likely) cast something on Yu. Not much evidence for Yu having magic themselves, but its something. For my little pet theory, its similar to yours, but maybe with an extra step. Its a pure guess, but I think Yu has a similar curse/spell on them the same as Grim. No one notices since it took STYX's computers and Idia to even detect it. Yu wasn't tested for such, and no has thought to look yet (as far as we know), since Yu is assumed to be magicless. Yu may have magic, but its so suppressed or concealed by the curse, it only manifests as unconscious scrying, something that the people of TWST either don't see as magical, or just write off as dreams (though Lillia, Ace & Deuce do show concern when they start having them while awake). This isn't really based on much, other than Yu and Grim seemingly being tied to the hip, and meeting each other on the first night. Both having something strange going on with them (Yu's scrying, Grim eating blot crystals) and wondering if those are connected somehow. Either way, great vid! Glad to see this topic being covered!

Little late with commenting, I apologize! I was honestly caught off guard by this months calendar too. Winter event while it is still summer? But it is what it is. I remember, before I started playing myself, that Jamil's hometown event ran in December, when the summer likely would have made more sense, but the English is kind of all over the place, honestly. And here goes the English server again having one of the event SSR characters the same month as his birthday...I hate when that happens when it is a fan favorite of mine. Ever since someone mentioned Crowley might be the 'crow' to a much higher being (the crow for Maleficent or Evil Queen), I think he's some kind of familiar taking those transmutation potions (in the live action Maleficent, she transformed a crow into a man so 👀). Since he was appointed his position at NRC and his features are too bird-like compared to another bird beastman, I think he's a frontman for someone else. I'm on EN Book7 atm so who knows lol
