Many of us appreciate those who "talk to the camera" as it allows us to focus our eyes on the content vs. the subtitles. That assumes the commentary is on point and not adolescent giggling and meaningless blather.
Well done BA. Loved seeing that bird back in the air. Now all that is left is for it to come back to South Africa as it was previously. Felix you should also talk more on flight reviews like David. But loved this trip report and seeing Josh as well.

November 2021 is the A380’s Mega Month - i mean it! The A380 is coming back in service! When the pandemic started in March 2020, it was not really a big deal. But over the months, the pandemic got worse. When there were a lot of COVID-19 cases in the world, Boeing had to retire the B747, and Airbus had to retire the A380. This was a huge deal for the two major aircraft manufacturers. In September 2021, a vaccine was completely developed and released to the world. This is a HUGE relief for the world, since we have been staying with our families for 1 and a third years. Finally, in November 2021, Airbus let their A380s out of the boneyard.
I rode their 380 out from Heathrow to Hong Kong in First in March 2019 and it was great. The 380 was a tad better than their 777 First coming in the other way. And the legendary Concorde Lounge is an experience in and of itself. I had a trip scheduled in First from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur in March 2020 on their 787 but that got scratched. And I guess I'll never see BA First on The Queen of the Skies, sniff. Hopefully this is a sign I can get First on BA from Asia and back soon.

Good to see (at least for the inaugural flight loaded with journalists) that BA have changed the habit of recent years and loaded the catering plus actually enough that there was a choice... NOT the usual experience in Club Europe!

Before the BA A380s return to service, they are sent first to Lufthansa Technik Philippines in Manila for extensive maintenance, my cousin is one of those engineers working on this massive aircraft making sure all are airworthy and fit for passenger service.
Since Singapore airlines resumed their operation of the a380s to London... I suggest u try it since it’s actually one of the first Long haul a380 flights since the pandemic. I’m pretty sure you’ll enjoy it hahaha
I'm glad you commented about how quiet the A380 is on takeoff. I was beginning to wonder if you had bad microphones, especially since your seat overlooked the engines. I just have to find a way to ride an A380 somewhere, anywhere before it disappears from service. (I was disappointed to see how narrow their Business Class seat is.)
