      @@luttes72, sometimes, people don't have a choice, they have somewhere they need to go and they have babies and they're going to want to take them with them because they're their babies. But he probably had somewhere he had to go and didn't have a choice about having to fly with them, he probably didn't want to do it, and I'm sure that he didn't want to be flying with his babies because they were likely very uncomfortable flying. I bet the guy was getting just as agitated by their crying as surrounding passengers were. I don't really understand why a guy had 3 babies with him though, he must've had triplets. I wonder why wasn't their mother wasn't there.

    BA has been struggling for a bit and honestly I feel kinda happy that they're getting back on track. Business class looks great too ngl.
    Maybe they could focus more on their long-haul flights instead of trying to compete with Easyjet on the short haul services in order to get ahead. But that's just my opinion.

    • @odeiraoloap
      @odeiraoloap 4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Unfortunately, that's what *everyone in Europe* (except for maybe Turkish and Aegean) is doing as of late.
      I mean, Lufthansa is one of the worst violators of this rule: their marketshare and profits have been absolutely decimated by Ryanair, even worse than BA. And so pan-EU flying with them (like BA) is basically Ryanair but with a free muffin and drink.

    • @streakyanchovy
      @streakyanchovy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@odeiraoloap Lufthansa has been fucked over by Ryanair that badly? Jesus Christ. I know Ryanair flies people for like $5 a ticket or possibly even less, but Ryanair's customer service standards and hidden fees are notoriously horrible.(even moreso than the average budget carrier) Not to mention that, from what I've seen on the internet, other Ryanair passengers aren't very well-behaved, to say the least.
      Shouldn't that turn people off from flying with them already? Or do people just deal with it because of how ridiculously cheap the ticket is?

    • @rosspalmer6849
      @rosspalmer6849 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      StreakyAnchovy you just put up with it. BA is no different now from easyJet or Ryanair as you have to pay for everything but they still charge more for the ticket. Another reason is that easyJet and Ryanair fly pretty much from anywhere in Europe to anywhere else in Europe while BA fly from anywhere in Europe to London. I live in Glasgow (in Scotland) and I’d much rather pay to fly straight to somewhere with easyJet than connect through London

    • @streakyanchovy
      @streakyanchovy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@rosspalmer6849 Easyjet is alright. It's just Ryanair that's boggling to me. They're absurdly lucky to have survived this long and they can beat big carriers like Lufthansa for some reason despite the fact that they're arguably one of the worst budget airliners around. Heck, even Easyjet has to watch their backs when competing with Ryanair despite the fact that they're so much better.
      Maybe notoriety sells. Maybe it's the ridiculously cheap prices.

    • @rosspalmer6849
      @rosspalmer6849 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      StreakyAnchovy easyJet is definitely better than Ryanair but Ryanair is always gaining publicity. Remember when they said they were going to make you pay to use the toilet? They never planned on doing that the ceo just said it so that they’d get in the papers. Company’s and people always profit off drama surrounding them

    • @streakyanchovy
      @streakyanchovy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@miragefn Maybe they're visiting family in the other part of the world/country. Maybe they couldn't get a babysitter to take care of the child while they were gone. Who knows?
      It's not like they don't care that the kid is crying. Yeah, sometimes, there are crappy parents like that but I can assure you that the majority are trying their best to deal with it.
      I usually carry candy with me when I fly because sucking/chewing on candy helps small kids to pop their ears. Also helps to distract the child. It's a win-win where the child stops crying, mom/dad is relieved, and the rest of the cabin feel peace once more. Only thing that'll usually cost me is a few cents on the sweet. Free if I take it from the immigration/departure counter. (IDK about your country's airports, but mine has a bowl of free mints at each counter, probably for that reason.)

    This is basically the same experience I have whenever I fly Air France transatlantic. I've been using AF exclusively for the past several years (their premium economy, which I've started to use a couple of years ago, is second to none imo, both before, since you get a separate boarding gate, and during the flight), so I can't comment on the current level of service on other major airlines in Europe like Lufthansa, KLM, etc., but I suspect they would also be broadly similar.

    Another great review David. Kudos to British Airways for their level of service, and the catering looked very nice. It's what we've come to expect from BA. When David was boarding, and walking down the aisle to his seat, the economy and even premium economy seats looked rather narrow. So yes, room for improvement there for sure... For any flight over 5 hours duration, you need something more comfortable. I would hate to go further, from London to Singapore, in one of these narrow seats. I must admit that I've never been a fan of these slim line seats that airlines use in economy these days. The seats they used some 30 years ago were much more comfortable in my opinion.

    That wing vision David is sensational !! Dubai at night is unreal...captured it very well!! Great flight and apart from a few "minor" things it looked pretty good. Thanks again David I always enjoy your "Brutally Honest " review!! Looking forward to the next one!!

      Wow!! Why do people hate babies so much!! I understand that they can sometimes be annoying but that is not an excuse to put them inside the cargo hold of an airplane.
      If someone who worked for an airline read your comment. They would probably think the same way as me. Savage!! And cruel!!

    Great 'Honest' review. My wife and I are taking that route next week (20:50 Flight) and i have never flown A350 yet, so a great insight as to what to expect from the British premier Carrier. Even saw my seat as you passed it on the way to yours.

    Did you know that when buying an airline ticket, most of the time, depending on the airline, it is possible to choose the type of meal, whether for religious reasons, food restrictions, illness or others? Yes and when the purchase is not online, using the telephone service is also possible. As most travelers do not have such restrictions, airlines offer a trivial menu.
