  • Cooking eggs on the Blackstone griddle can be difficult for some just beginning to cook on a Blackstone or other griddle brand. Many folks ask what's the secret. Scrambled, over easy, over medium, etc. No one wants over cooked eggs for breakfast. Hopefully this will help some.

Just want to note, this isn’t the Bible to cooking eggs. If you like them the way you cook them, then that is fine by me.
Just giving some tips to folks that are struggling with their eggs on the Blackstone.
For the record, my wife and kids don’t like the eggs the way I do. Haha. They like there’s more well done. I like them no matter what! Haha 😆

Hussey, Please do a taste test, Cooking eggs with pre-seasoning and post seasoning. You'll have to weigh seasonings to be fair. Then you'll have to get several Blind test subjects to taste and give opinions. I'm betting on no real difference.

Good video! What i've learned to do on mine when cooking a big breakfast and not just eggs is to only use 3 burners and leave last burner off. I cook my pancakes first and put them in a warming container. Then i cook my meats/veggies. when meats/veggies are about 5 mins from done. At that point I go ahead and melt butter on the portion of griddle that the burner is off and start the eggs. Turn out perfect every time.

    • @thehungryhussey

Thanks Hussey for the video. I have been having problems cooking Omelettes on my Blackstone. Never thought about leaving the 2 burners in the center off and the left and right on low. My Omelette gets that burnt oil look on the bottom while I try to get them done. I will try the settings on the burners to see what happens. Now I can just figure out how to flip the Omelette to cook the other side. Keep the video coming my Blackstone brother. I have learned a lot by watching them.

You have one thing that most people don't have,
A level Grill!!! Your eggs are not sliding off to the low side.... YOU NEED IT LEVEL!!!!
I make my eggs in a 12 inch cast iron pan. I like to push my scrambled eggs to the center so they get nice and chunky and fluffy. Plus a splash of milk or cream helps too. And be sure to let then cook a bit befor you start to move them. 👍

Got a little tip to share with you. You might already know this but I've just learned it, and I'm a Chef who has cracked darn close to a million eggs. When cracking eggs into bowl and you get some shell in it, use the big piece of shell to scoop it out. A lot easier. Keep the videos coming.

Funny you mention that. I failed to offer that tip. It works so well too! Great that you noted it.

I like to cook just a few slices of bacon first, and then cook the eggs in the bacon grease.

Good stuff too, but will not be the prettiest, but probably the tastiest.

Good stuff, Hussey. I like to fry my eggs in bacon grease. I usually cook up my bacon first, then use some of that grease to whip up my eggs. It causes a little browning...doesn't look the best, but boy it sure tastes good!

Great video as usual HH. Most start out cooking at too high a temperature on their Blackstone. I did too until I figured out things do much better on lower heat settings unless your are really trying to brown or sear something. For the very best eggs on a Blackstone, cook some bacon first, then cook the eggs in the leftover bacon drippings, Delicious!

It is great to cook in bacon grease, but it'll turn them off colored too, but I happen to like it the best.

@@thehungryhussey You can't eat color, it's taste that matters!

So i have nexgrill griddle. So you leave the side burners on low and turn off the middles ones? Also how about cooking omelettes. Same technic.
