    It’s strange that people today have all these allergies to certain foods, such as peanuts. But never heard of anyone being allergic to peanuts back in the ‘80s. Is it the peanuts, or all the toxic chemicals that are the problem?

    • @magentamagenta1274
      @magentamagenta1274 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @jbhann Could be but could also be that 70 years ago science, education, medicine, attitudes, awareness, advertising and numerous other factors weren’t the same as they are today.
      Pesticides and toxins are definitely a causal component.

      @@magentamagenta1274Dying or allergic reaction from eating Peanuts is very obvious...... even Caveman could figure that out. If people were as allergic to Peanuts in the past as now.... it would be known.

      I wonder if it’s because a lot of these 7 ingredients she mentioned are available in far more processed products than we realise. E.g., who would have thought to find gluten in Campbell’s salt reduces chicken stock? Back in the 80ies, my mother prepared everything herself despite of balancing work and family life. There were no shortcuts, eating out, uber eats, fast food, nothing readily available. At least not where I grew up.

    • @magentamagenta1274
      @magentamagenta1274 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ltlwlwl5057 in response to your comments, I don’t think to many cavemen are around these days to attest to this and any scientific evidence about allergies in those days is where?
      In my childhood there were not any known allergic reactions to foods. As I previously mentioned if there were then they were not evidential studies, this doesn’t mean that people didn’t have them it means there wasn’t conclusive evidence, research or knowledge.
      😊

    I listen to a lot of podcasts that talk about nutrition and the science behind leaky gut, gluten, the importance of diversity in eating, the gut microbiome, etc. Leaky gut can be healed, and dairy, eggs, corn, soy, peanuts, and gluten are not problems for most people - the problem is typically gut dysbiosis from not eating enough plant fiber and diversity, being germaphobes, and eating ultra processed crap.

    I have been battling severe eczema on my lower legs for over 3 yrs. now. Every topical steroid and daily maintenance as perscribed by a dermatologist wasn't working. I saw a naturopath and she found that I am highly sensitive/intolerant to gluten, dairy, nuts, etc. which threw me in an autoimmune type of response. I've on month 3 of eating non-dairy and non-gluten but my eczema is just as severe. Do you have an ideas of what else I could try?

      Is your skin dry? Does this only happen in the winter? Do you use soaps with fragrance? One study revealed that simply moisturizing the skin (I love coconut oil) reduces inflammation n the entire body. Do you have histamine responses to things? How exactly was it revealed that you were intolerant to gluten, airy, nuts, etc? When I get a rash from exposure to Covid, I use antihistamines, drink nettle tea, take bromelain supplements, and hydrate. Thankfully the longest mine has lasted is two weeks. The best thing I found for my skin was coconut oil with a few drops of peppermint essential oil mixed in. Steroid creams did nothing.

      Loads of information, thanks. Every time I try to sneak, even a little, gluten into my day I pay for it - joints ache and I wake up in bad mood. Every time. It’s really hard to make a artisan bread with rice, bean or cassava flour because the texture is way different. I grew up eating my country grandmother’s amazing homemade bread, no wonder I was an obese and sickly kid…😮

    Some good information. But once broken down by the body, fructose from fruit is the same molecule as fructose from soda. Your body also doesn't know the difference between glucose from rice or glucose from a Snicker's bar. Instead of saying eliminate sugar, one really needs to think in terns of eliminating carbs.

    On this occasion I need to recommend almond paste instead of peanut butter. And instead of sweet stuff. It's just soooooo tasty - on good bread (I eat spelt - it's not gluten free, but I seem to tolerate it very well and it's delicious), on a rice waffle, on a banana, with some berries. It's a lot of protein, magnesium, fiber, healthy fats... What I have in mind is a Polish product, so I'm not sure what the American market is offering. But still: one of my favorite things these days.

    There is absolutely nothing wrong with wheat and corn, especially organic. Plain organic pasta for example, one ingredient, is not bad. What is bad is all the animal fat, dairy, oils, and artificial colors, preservatives, flavors, msg, and gmo ingredients that are in most wheat and corn products. I've done gluten free and corn free experiments for months and it made zero difference in how I felt. What is bad is all animal fats, dairy, all oils including olive and coconut oil, and artificial colors, flavors, preservatives, additives and gmo ingredients like hfcs and beet sugar. Real cane sugar especially if organic is not bad. Can still be avoided if desired. Ecxess fat is bad, even if it's healthier fat like walnuts and avocados. 20% of calories from fat should be the absolute maximum, and 10% or less is ideal. There are zero bad single ingredient non gmo carbs. Some with more than one ingredient are good if the have none of the bad stuff listed above. The more carbs and less fat the better.

    It's very popular with all you guru types to demonize dairy, anyone would think there was an agenda behind it, which there most definitely is, and it doesn't take much of a stretch of imagination to realize what that agenda is.

    • @somethingdiabolical7760
      @somethingdiabolical7760 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wasn't there actually a campaign in the US at some point to make people drink more milk? Claiming it has health effects what was debunked later? And isn't cheese addictive, so not healthy? Dairy positive/anti plant milk people seem to forget that dairy was pushed on people for decades and as a dairy intolerant person I can confirm that people still put it in almost everything because when someone brings food at work I can almost never eat it.
      So what is the so called agenda? Dairy intolerant people not wanting to be bloated? Allergic people not wanting to get anaphylactic shock?
      She also says people should avoid soy so does that mean there's an anti soy agenda as well?

    • @andrewlilley3660
      @andrewlilley3660 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@somethingdiabolical7760 No, quite simply, they want to get rid of cattle and the meat and dairy industry, which would be a travesty.
      That is the agenda, in the UK we have the best pasture in the world and cattle are the best means of turning that luscious grass into excellent nutritious food.
      Dairy produce was never pushed on anyone, it's its own ambassador, most dishes rely on it in some way, so no pushing is necessary.
      No one can debunk the value of meat and dairy produce, it's excellent, if certain people can't stomach it then there are alternatives, but extremely poor ones, all the best.

    Thank you for sharing this video, now I can unsubscribe from your channel; I live in Europe and I like Mediterranean diet (without meat in my case) and there are many people who live quite well and very long with this diet which actually includes all that u mentioned and can harm us; i really dislike these trends that are coming from USA which promote the smoothies, the protein shakes and the daily vitamins and minerals intake even u are not actually lacking from them; u got there to take at least 10 vitamins and minerals per day and also lots of protein powders, why? To skip a real meal which contains natural fibers and other nutritive stuff and feel good that u can take some powders and u are good to go? For me this is lazziness and “lets make rich the people who are producing these protein powders and all kind of powders and vitamins”; I can just say well if it is working for u and u saw people to live longer and well until 80-90-100 years old like here in Europe, with ur trends than bravo but I won’t take it for good anything u said in this video because many of them are not sustained; for allergies u need to go to a doctor and only under a specialist supervision u can try all kind of diets!
