Best auto reviewer on the Tube... PERIOD! Personally, I never tier of catching these presentations. Fantastically knowledgeable. Stunning format. Wonderful personality. What's not to like. Peugeot is really inspired in recent years.
one of the best looking ev cars about not to big for a suv either. test drove e2008 one and placed order for gt one looking forward to its arrival great review as always.
Another great review. Having recently bought a 2018 GT line 130bhp Peugeot certainly seem to be on a roll in recent years. The only thing that slightly puts me off upgrading in future is the lack of manual heating controls in the new model, but I guess voice control can be used quite successfully and it actually looks fab!

Just ordered Allure , Petrol auto , it was amazing in test drive ut has everything !!!! Paddle shifters, bolder body than a usual hatchback, digital screens , lots of equipment . I didnt feel like buying GT as there are not many differences than Allure . Buy it! you will love it ! I was waiting for the new juke in Ukraine but it is not here yet and im sure this Peugeot is much more fun.

When the lease on my 3008 comes to an end in 2 years I will definitely be considering the e2008 to replace it.
I mainly do short journeys with the occasional long journey, so it would be perfect.
Hopefully in the next 2 years Wales will improve its charging infrastructure.

Clean fresh design, love it - you both looked a little cramped in it, especially the passenger :) -- but a cracking design, some minor issues but forgiven for being an absolute stunner - who in their right mind would consider that Mazda MX30 when this exists ??
You guys should show us the assistance system menus in future videos, just some advice, that’s all.

Love this car, I have the GT line for 1 year now, super happy with it, my wife who has had few cars already calls it a beast when you change to Sport setting :D. Thanks alot for this review, really helpfull. Whenever I will buy a new car again I will for sure check your channel first !

Facelifts and what not
My first reaction to the bold styling is “OMG” looking at the front, but “Oh Wow” with the side and rear 3/4 view!
As usual Thomas gives us the best review you could ask for, and I am left with the feeling that it’s great for variety that manufacturers build funky cars like this, but in reality I, like most buyers, will stick to my “boring” but better engineered BMW!
Great review again - I would have liked to hear how it compares to the 3008 in terms of space in the cabin. This one is top of my list for a replacement to my 3008 in 2021.
3008 is of course bigger, especially as for trunk
The car looks prettier than I expected, because on photos it looked more ballooned just like the C3 Aircross.

I currently have a 3008 and considered upgrading in a year or two to the newer model. However, this review combined with Peugeot's sublime design has made me consider 2008. Fantastic job, Thomas!! I would choose the petrol engine :)

Great Review, many thanks Thomas & Jonas. Personally I found the sporty steering wheel blocked the instruments when I drove the latest 3008 GT - shame. Looks like the same for this 2008 too. Liked the T-Rex at 36:47, and that white Peugeot in front, gave you a good run for your money! 39:15 thanks for the French! Fun cars.

I have enjoyed the information you have given on this car. This week I'm test driving this car and also the Ford Puma and the Nissan Juke and watch your demonstration on those cars as well thanks. The reason why birds fly across the road is that they only see one side of the road to the other and don't take into consideration the cars that could kill them.

Amazing car in the GT configuaration and i would be tempted to buy one, but with the smaller wheels. The suspension is very noisy and crashy from what i can hear

Very detailed interesting comparison. Peugeot design is strikingly good at the moment and the vehicle looks stunning in Thomas blue. Having driven the 1.2 in a 3008 I think it’s a remarkable engine. I’m looking for auto in my next car so thank heavens it’s not a cvt and seems quite good. It has to be petrol for me. I’m afraid electric is all a little bit too emperors new clothes. Having driven a phev company car I know the limitations and there is still much to do.
phevs are worst combination of electric and gasoline, as you have to charge them everyday and they don't have true instant torque like electric.
Pure EV beats PHEV. I only need to charge my Zoe once a fortnight. It's a pain in the rear to have an anemic 60km range in a PHEV. Nowhere near comparable.
I've tried recently 308 and indeed icockpit is probably a dealbreaker for me: as I like seat in its lowest position, and steering wheel in highest, it obstructs lower dachboard part. You can't see just minor part with odo or something not crucial, but it annoys.
Most probably the seating position you are accustomed to is wrong.. there are certain rules about how to setup you driving position..

I am not sure about reliability with these small 3 cylinder engines, and I have a question... for example, in this 1.2L engine, will the 130hp version (less compressed and stressed) than the 155hp version, be more problem free and reliable in the long run??

Thanks! Hmm that's a tough question. It's a new car, hard to say. Generally I would say, the more displacement and the less hp, the less stress on the engine
I hope to start driving the e-2008 as soon as they become available to us.
We're currently driving a DS3 Crossback, but with a newborn, and a cybex pram in the car, it's just a little too cramped.
The e-2008 seems to be a little roomier in the boot and a little roomier for the rear passengers too.
I do wonder if the e-2008 will be a head turner like the DS3 Crossback is.
In the meantime, we'll probably get a 3008 hybrid to bridge the gap.
It might be hard to let the 3008 hybrid go to go e-2008 though, but my partner is getting her license soon and the 3008 is too big and intimidating for her to start driving in.
Plus, I really want to go full EV asap..
At first I didn't like the 2008 on pictures. Then somehow I saw a prototype randomly passing me in the street. It is stunning. Amazing design.

For me with my height 189 cm, choice is Skoda Kamiq. No brainer. Even though I like Peugeot design more.

I like the electric version but the extra price over the petrol version of the GT puts me off a little bit and is the electric car more environmentally friendly when we use nuclear power to supply electricity I have to wait to I can test drive both at my local dealer when they are launched to make my mind up

I'm kind of disappointed they still insist in keeping that small and awkward steering wheel that quite frankly feels completely wrong. And as if the small size wasn't enough, you can't really see the dashboard through it nor over it. Otherwise, as usual with Peugeot, you get quite good value for the money.
If you can adopt this Steering wheel, you will never go back to a big one. I can't go with ease on a "normal one" now that i have a 508.

Well I am a big fan of EVs so I am biased. Realy, if your grandma is converting her brass bed to electric - I will show up for the promotion ! ! As this car has a of battery (50KwHr) the same as the e208 I am guessing it gives about 170 mile range for real world driving. Really, that's enough for most people most of the time. Once a car has this size battery the topic of range is kind of over as a conversation.

As I said in the other video, I never put the seat all the way back as I would sit too far from the steering wheel then
Definitely Electric. No point buying history and prolonging the agony.
What I generally don't like about Peugeot is their Ergonomics.
Besides the fact, that the seating position is quite awkward due to the small steering wheel that still partly hides the instruments, you don't have much space for long legs.
As seen in the video, the pedals and foot rest are positioned too close to the seat, that people with longer legs have to sit in a frog like position a bit.

Can't get over the naming convention using "2008", just very strange.
Looks nice but the name of the game is self driving. Not to mention a charging network, multiple cameras, software updates.
If they haven't addressed these issues they're not in the game.
Self driving doesn't exist, charging network is excellent and the widest available, and it has enough cameras. Oh and it has a big boot, unlike a particular saloon.

Peugeot is so annoying. I am the exact same height and have to lift the steering wheel off my legs and can’t see the dashboard either. There isn’t a single other make or model of car out there where I have that problem. Just Peugeot’s. About time they ditched that useless design.
Maybe put the back o the seat in a more upright position , and lower the height of the seat would help
