Good video! I ordered this kit in October last year and it was on back ordered for 2 months. Cancelled the order and hopefully Mishimoto has some in stock now. Thanks for the video.
Junk yard/ eBay trans cooler from a 6.0, two of the 3/8 inch to 1/2 inch hose adapters, with some hose, so much cheaper for the SAME results. Cheaper to just do a 6.0 cooler. Bolts on in all the factory bolt holes. I just did the 6.0 cooler upgrade and it's AMAZING! Lol good video though man
Jerry Nunya i was debating whether to do the 6.0 cooler or the mishimoto. Everyone out in my area wanted an arm and a leg for a used one, so i ended up buying a new one.
Great video. I see you had the same thing going on at the trans filter and radiator hose, it will eventfully chafe though the hose, I wrapped mine with a 3/4 heater hose and zip tied it. Glad I don't have to remove the condenser!
How does your 7.3 pull that big toy hauler??? Everywhere I look, a SRW 7.3 isn't rated to tow much over 12k pounds. I want to pick one up, but am worried that it wouldn't tow a 30-35 foot toy hauler without me hurting the truck.
It does okay with 3 quads loaded up, slow up hills but doesn't quit. I have had some issues with HPOP and injectors while towing even in limbo mode it crawls up lol. Changed every single O-ring in this truck and still leaks oil lol. I enjoy my truck but at the expense of always fixing and maintaining it I would have rather gotten a newer one that has more power. I have many upgrades in my 7.3 to help tow the trailer
Thank you, It does pretty good the cooler definitely helped out its 30 degrees cooler and cools faster, since the video ive added gauges and a hydra chip. I'm upgrading the turbo housing soon to eliminate turbo surge especially during up hill
A year later and i finally got the cooler im gonna install it today...how your truck running? I did a turbo housing, evp delete, and wicked wheel on my friends 7.3 and it runs really good im gonna do the same to mine.
Gregtman502 I was noticing higher trans temps than normal, I bought the truck a year ago and started monitoring temp via torque app. Unloaded I saw temps as high as 220. With the upgraded trans cooler it definitely helped alot. I bought sonnex spring kit and valve body pressure mod kit. I hope to stay under 180 degrees under heavy loads.

Thank you, Yeah they did not have any kits on the Mishimoto website but I found it cheaper and in-stock on Amazon.

The factory 6.0 cooler is not the same as a mishimoto. Mishimoto 6.0 cooler offers more cooling then the typical stock 6.0 cooler.
@@quirozgarage4553how much more ?

thats a great idea I will have to do that to prevent future leaks

@@jahazielavitia2371how did the cooler upgrade work for you ?
This also works for the 6.8 v10 , i know personally
Molly Bags thanks for the information!
D.I.Y Eddie not a problem i do recommend. People to get the cooper unions to connect the 3/8 " line to the 1/2" line that goes into the cooler
5.4 2v as well? I work the shit outta her
@@mollybags455can you be more specific about these unions that you speak of ? Thanks a million. A link or keyword search ?
What’s your suspension/ wheel and tire setup if you don’t mind me asking?
4 inch procomp suspension lift 31" bf Goodrich tires and 16" rims, also have airlift airbags and 4" bag spacers for towing
What fluid did you use to top off? Thanks and nice video.
Thank you, I used ATF fluid that is mercon / mercon V rated
What is that lower bracket for my. 99 F350 doesn't have one? But my 2002 F259 does.
George H Reed Jr. Its a lower crash bar that ford added I believe after 2001
Would this be the same unit to purchase for 99 v-10 ?
It should work since the body style is the same
