Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has a lot of blades in it, but only a select few end up in your arsenal because of the events that transpire in the story and this video is is 26 ½ minutes of me praising… most of them. They can’t all be winners ok!

I cried like a freaking baby at the end lol and felt emotionally drained when it took me back to the main menu after that. Worth every single second of my time.

The title screen after you beat the game is very touching. The title screen after beating NG+ is even better.

I really enjoyed Dromarch’s relationship with Azurda they had some funny scenes

i dont see Morag have sexual interest in Rex think thats just a harem mindset, i think its just personal interest because its not everyday anyone care bare witness of a powerful blade like the aegis, and that she only wanted to tag along not only to see that power but to make sure its in right hands. After all it was the blade that was able to destroy 3 titans, she just wanted to make sure that her dying titan doesnt get the same treatment.
Yeah, Morag never showed any sexual interest or romantic interest at all to Rex. Honestly, nobody in the story really did. Sexual interest is different than romantic interest

About Aegaeon: (Ch 6 Spoilers Ahoy)
Nial does actually die, but Nia revives him. Aegaeon returns to his Core Crystal in the short span of time between dying and being revived.
Omni, the War Profiteer So why doesn't Nia just revived Vandham's corpse? I don't think Niall was fully "dead"
Because she was in front of everyone else. She wanted to keep her true identity secret, remember?

D3-LL I’m pretty sure this is how it went: Nial receives fatal injuries during the explosion and is about to die (kind of like Zeke, even thought there weren’t any explosions with him), but then Nia heals him before he can die for real. As for Aegaeon, Nial told him to put up a shield to protect everyone. He does, but it damages his Core Crystal, and even though I’m not 100% sure about this, I’m pretty sure if a blade dies, like if their head was chopped off (Except Boreas, who has a detachable head anyway) or something, they’d return to their Core Crystal, even if their Driver was still alive. Aegaeon says “Master, I have failed you” before he “dies,” foreshadowing that his shield was unable to protect himself. If you notice his Core Crystal, you’ll notice that it’s cracked (Core Crystals appear to be like skin, where if it’s simply cut mildly, or cracked in this case, it’ll heal up over time), so in conclusion. Nial doesn’t die, but is fatally injured, and Aegaeon “dies” and returns to his Core Crystal. I hope this clears things up.

I liked x. Personally, i liked the exploration of mira more than exploring the titans. But the story is better in 2.

I get that you did this based more on story line, but out of usefulness, Pandoria should definitely be higher up :P At least in New Game + She's pretty much broken there

well if you consider "your stopped beating" as dying than it is perfectly possible that Niall "died" which caused Aegeon to return to his core crystal and that would be the moment where (SPOILERS) Nia revives him by getting his heart beating again which is possible as well.
And (MORE SPOILERS) Nia’s a Blade with healing powers that can rival Malos. With her and Dromarch’s efforts as healer Blades, she could in all probability revive him entirely.
Or, as Miracle Max might say, Niall was only “mostly dead.”

Still salty this wonderful game didn't get a recommendation for GOTY.
I liked pyra more then mythra at the start of the game but by the time I reached chapter 8 and that choice on which to name pneuma after I just choose mythra easily. she just felt as though she grew more as a character, she went from tsundere to a pretty likeable character
I always liked Mythra more than Pyra, but chapter 8 and beyond only made the gap larger. I like the more tsundere types. Not full tsunderes though, they're just annoying. I also knew Nia would be my favorite character from the very first initial teaser with the concept arts. And I was right.

Nia was the most consistently good character for me and was what kept my interest throughout the entire beginning of the game when the story was slow.
Yami I preferred her at the start but as more character were introduced she felt lost imo
Charlierashi With more characters being introduced, they are all competing for screen time, but I don't think Nia felt like she was forgotten and put to the side. Nia still had a lot of stand out moments and contributed to the story all the way to the end. It's not like Sharla who became irrelevant in the end of the game.
Those last words were so powerfull man... I love this game so much and this game kinda has a special place in my heart because it also introduced me to sonmany great people and channels! Thank you, Monolith Soft and everyone else in this community for making this game so awesome...

I just want to say that I am a massive, huge fan of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - it has overtaken the spot as my favourite game of all time and is extremely special to me.
It makes me very emotionally happy and choked up to hear other people such as you talking about it like you did at the end, in such a positive way, that it was such a good experience for them too. This kind of raw emotional attachment is just something that's so special to me about games. ;u;

There’s no guarantee that he died entirely. Being mostly dead is the most likely, assuming a Blade’s connection being based on the Driver’s heart. Niall’s heart may have stopped but there was still enough life force for Nia to revive him.

That there is easily one of my favourite moments in the game thanks to its shear ridiculousness and is singlehandedly responsible for making QT one of my favourite blades.
not only that, though. My dad watched all of those Mecha anime that were so popular in the 80s and 90s, so when Bana and Muimui went sliding down that pipe and into a sort of control center, I KNEW exactly what was going to happen
Xenoblade 2 is a fun game
For a little more, Niall's "death" scene is the only one that made me immediately go straight to the cutscene viewer just to capture every angle of what I'd just witness, followed by going directly to the Blade Album to stare at the silhouette that intrigued me from so early on as I processed just who it was behind that silhouette.
I didn't even remember much of this until going back to the screenshots I'd saved. 1 week after seeing that cutscene, I'd reached Chapter 7 and went back to the Album for one last capture. Somehow, I'd known that Nia was one of my favourite Blades in the game _long before I even knew she was one _*_entirely because of her silhouette!_*
I just love #1, they’re my favourite as well, just amazing and their major scene almost made me cry tbh
I mean, if Rex said anything other then his dense misunderstanding,
it would have kinda left a portion of the fandom in the dust, just like the first game, so as a massive Nia fan I'm happy it went both ways at the end because I don't want to see the Pyra/Mythra fans disappointed.

BTW nice video, I too love this game, not as much as Persona 5 and Nier Automata but it's close.
I honestly had no idea that Morag was going to join the party. When she did, I thought it was going to end up just like Vandham. I freaked out when I saw that I could put core crystals on her.
Chronicles X isnt THAT bad.... is it? I enjoyed it. But that was my first intro to the series, so who knows, I could be objectively wrong.
I feel that game gets a lot of flak for not having a good story. Then again it was designed more for exploration with story being the back burner. I feel the hate for that game has honestly gotten irritating everytime it's brought up.
It's not bad. It's just very different. I personally loved X but people who want a good story will probably be disappointed by the lost potential of X's story.
Yeah, I think X gets hate from butthurt fans that didn’t get an actual sequel at the time.
Despite the fact the game is still good from an exploration standpoint heck I feel with the release of Xenoblade 2 makes X better due to one cutscene in the final chapter of the game concerning a spoiler character.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks *Spoiler* is the best blade. Adding to the fact that they had the same song (best in the game imo) as *Spoiler*'s death scene (Second most powerful moment in the game, first being the one you described), and they were already my favorite character in the game made me love them even more.
I felt Drifting Soul was always Nia's song, even the first time it played in chapter 3. It had an unusual amount of zoom in on Nia's face as if it was hinting something deeper beneath her character. And also, the lyrics of the song fits Nia perfectly.
Yami they fit a lot of characters actually. Most notably at least to me is with Jin, the lyrics seem to match his mindset

For Niall and Aegeaon I always thought of it as Niall flatlining which caused Aegeaon to return to his core crystal and then Nia revives him.

Can you do top 10 Rare blades... or dont, I don't really need it, but I would still like your opinion, especially with the NG+ blades, T-Elos, Shulk and Fiora, and Poppi buster being added. It would be quite intrestimg, though Shulk and Fiora would probably be in the top 10, and maybe Kos-Mos too.

I adore this game, it’s my favorite game of all time, it’s the first game in a long time a can’t put down.. on my 3rd play through now.
Nia isn't in fact a Melia!
If you use her enough as a blade, she will eventually have an after battle conversation with Rex:
Rex: "Hey, Nia... About that thing you said, that one time... I uhhh... Well..."
Nia: "Huh? Oh, right! Hehe... You're asking now? Now's not the time, we can talk later"
To me, this shows that Nia still has her feelings intact, and that Rex clearly is fully aware of and even reciprocate those feelings. Couple that with the new title screen when you complete a NG+ with her either playfully pushing Rex and then hold hands with Pyra and Mythra, or join the three in holding hands, and i interpret it like Rex, Pyra, Mythra and Nia all living happily together after the credits... It might just be my own headcanon, but it's at least one point that can't be disproven as factually wrong...

Even if she isn't, Nia somehow manages to portray many of the same issues real-life transgender people face. The fact that she got in the hot spring in the first place is insanely brave of her.
6:19 it's because niall DID die. Nia brought him back, because apparently her powers only work if the person died recently. If you pay attention when vandham dies, nia puts her hand where her core crystal is, and if I rembered correctly, later on she says she "should have done something" which as we know turned out to be foreshadowing she has some of the thickest plot armour I've ever seen.

Huh. Didn't know the Light Element Core was attainable in Tiger Tiger before NG+. I was happy with the elements my Poppis had.

I honestly don’t know how the hot spring hinted to Nia being a Flesh Eater. When I played through the game that scene just seemed like a ‘proper’ introduction to Mythra.

I always felt something special about the story an the characters. They felt real and human so much that they were one of the best characters I've ever seen. I couldn't believe a game that has a perfect story, character/character development/game mechanics, and a great ending (GWAUHF I CRY) was available to us
The reason Aegaeon went back to his Core is because Niall *did* die, he was dead for a good 1-2 minutes, during which Aegaeon is seen returning to his core, lamenting that he failed the Emperor.
The final cutscene of the game made poppi win for my favorite blade character

Erm... Nia is definitely my favourite character in this game. But as a blade... We got enough water blades already. Plus, Rex's arts with Nia equipped doesn't have anything like break, launch, etc. She's mainly for healing, which is fine but Nia as a driver is great for healing as well. Plus if you switch her to blade, you'll be missing out on affinity for three blades total. On top of that, Rex is mainly an attacker, and I finally have Mythra's affinity chart max along. She's definitely the main blade I've been using, and with the third aegis sword she is simply indispensable. So I don't know. Maybe I'll try using her again, but she's already got some nice blades in her arsenal already, INCLUDING the DLC bit ball blade which is just fantastic!
Well, I should give her more of a shot. Besides, my party has been dying a lot lately.
Combat wise my favourite is definitely QTπ but when it comes to story blades I'd have to go with Pyra, I had played XC1 but she was what I was interested in most since at the time she was the prettiest character i had seen in a videogame. Now that the definitive edition is out that title goes to Melia and Seven equally.
For me It's hard for me to choose between these 3 character. I love Pyra, mythra and Nia.

For me, there was only one spoiler since I've gotten only as far as your second fight with Malos and Jin. But yeah, number 1 is one of the best blades in the game.
I like to point out that Aegaeon's voice actor in the Japanese version of Xenoblade 2, he is VOICED by CHAR AZNABLE, THE RED COMET HIMSELF!

I know it's probably way too late to comment on this video but I got KOS MOS in a common core and she for me rn is a broken healer as her lvl 2 special always restores full hp for my party. I'm in like chapter 7 I think so Im not really sure.

Aggro in simple terms is a "rage mode" that boost damage that an enemy can inflict on you
Wulfric and aegaeon are such afterthoughts, kinda painful
FINALLY !!!i STARTED TO THINK I WAS LITERALLY THE ONLY PERSON ON EARTH THAT GOT THE SWITCH BECAUSE OF THIS MASTERPIECE!!! No Mario, No Zelda. THIS charming beautiful game sold me the console. i love the game, love the story the mechanics, but most importalny I ABSOLUTELY ADORE PYRA. I only hope that time can make justice to this game an it can be remembered as the fime work of art it is. And if a¨switch retro¨ is released in 20 years it it does not come with this game, it can go fuck itself
I completely agree with this list, except for one thing. I’d swap Dromarch with Poppi QT. While not Nia’s best Blade, he’s come through for me when I need him. He’s also implied to be aromantic, which appeals to me because so am I.
