Pandoria. She's so adorable mimicking Zeke's poses and combined with Mythra and Roc she's a beast. It's nice having a faster "axe" and topple/launch/ smash all in one set, though I wish Rex could get smash from a different blade.
Floren is a dude!? damn, I never noticed. Haha wow that's kind of awesome. 145 hours into this game and still finding new stuff in it. How on earth did the developers fit so much into this game in such a limited development time!?

Which is weird, because there are characters that distinctly call him female.
Wulfric, because he is the kindness of the blades.
Ursula, because of her idle animation where her bear dad-throws her, it just warms my heart.
Perseval, OP as hell, cool design and personality.
Poppi alpha, cant tell because spoilers.
Pandoria, her design is very harmonic in every way, probably the most thoughtful of them all

Poppi Alpha is the more childlike form of Poppi. On her other forms, Tora kind of set his inner strangeness loose. Also, I like the medieval design of Poppi Alpha.

My personal favorites are Wulfric, Herald, and Perceval.
Wulfric to me just looks awesome, his damage output is good, especially at once you reach max affinity in combat (your damage literally doubles), he has a full affinity chart, meaning he can reach level 5 in superstrength, earth mastery, etc. His introduction is awesome, his sidquests are hilarious, his weapon doesn't feel slow, and his personality, while simple, is hilarious. He's big and intimidating, but he wants to help and be nice. He's probably the best all rounder blade in the game.
Herald is outright scary; her original driver commited suicide because he couldn't contain her power. She's got a really good damage output, and draws low aggro. Her specials are really good on top of being awesome to look at, especially the level 4, where she fires from the cannon, her dragon head, and both her tails. She also has a passive health regen on auto attacks, meaning once you get her damage output high enough, you're gonna be healing a LOT. I saw a video of a guy taking on Immovable Gonzalez where he was recovering 600 hp a shot, and I don't even think his level was level 80 yet.
Perceval is borderline terrifying to look at, and from what I've heard, an OP tank blade. He's an agility based tank, which i'm pretty sure means that the enemy won't be able to hit you often, and when they do, they're not gonna hit you much. His overall look and presence are just epic; I mean, how much cooler can you get then a dark samurai? I haven't gotten to his heart to hearts yet, but i'm looking forward to seeing them.
KOS-MOS is actually broken, and I love her. Her lvl 2 special is an amazing panic button heal (on an attack blade too) and her lvl 3 special deals WAY too much damage, its crazy

Floren makes me wonder about traps again. Is the jury still out on that? I didn't realize floren was a guy until I tried to send him on female oriented merc missions. I can't change how I felt about him before that lol.

My favorite blades are Dagas (for design) Perceval/Herald (for gameplay) and Kos-Mos (it’s just cool she’s in the game)
My fave blade is all of them. Screw picking one haha
I have the opposite problem, my strat revolves around haveing launch, topple and smash on rex, having tora and having nia with break on all 3 blades PLUS having all 8 elements in the team, the result of these limitations is that the only character that has any choice in their rare blades equipped is nia - as rex is Pyra/Pandoria/Roc and Tora has the broken-ness that is Poppi.
doombybbr I use a similar set up like you.
Morag: Perceval - Brighid - Godfrey
Rex: Pryra - Zenobia - Roc
Nia: Floren - Kora - Dromarch.
This gives me all elements, & easy Smash for fast kills.
OTPulse though my setup for the 130 superboss is different, due to the high damage and break resist I end up putting at least one tank blade on each character and two on rex.

Personally, Dagas and Adeline have a special place in my heart. I got Dagas the FIRST time I bonded a Blade to Nia and I got Adeline the first time I bonded a Blade to Morag. Wish that happened to Zeke, though.
I really like Adeline too, pretty good healer as well!
Wulfric is my favourite, he has a design I absolutely love, a character I think is both awesome and sweet and a style that I enjoy using.
My other favourites include Perceval, Aegaeon, Nim and Brighid
Another awesome informative video. I don't know when I'll ever get around to playing xenoblade chronicles 2 but at least with videos like this it'll make completing the game that much easier.

Zenobia affinity was fun to get and since I got her pretty early her chart wasnt too frustrating for me
Praxis and Theory are my favorites so far after completing affinity charts of other blades I only played Rex with Praxis and Theory along with the mandatory Pyra/Mythra

Electra was one of my first non-required blades and I really like her. She is a tank on a whole new level. I've got her set up really right now for 70% block rate and her sheild art is super efficient for a tank. She is certainly required for any tank settup
Prince of Hyrule with the right setup I got her to 90%. Insane.

I love you for putting theory at one her and praxis are my favorites. I actually ran into the praxis quest chapter 7 when pyra is gone for a while. I liked them so much that after praxis was awakened I grinded for two hours to get her chart all the way up to get theory and they both help me best jin and malos in that boss fight which I couldn't seem to beat. I woke them both up on rex because I feel rex would be the best driver for them. Also have any advice on the best driver for azami?

My favorite Blade is easily Herald, I love her design and I liked her Heart-to-Hearts and quest, and that's not even mentioning how broken she is as an attacker

Nia + Sheba, Herald, and Praxis
Sheba + Golden font is OP and combined with another powerful Ether cannon, and even more critical damage buffs the damage out put becomes massive.
I've been using Nim since the moment I got her she's so awesome the amount of health she gives on her 1st arts is amazing
tbh my bae blade is dahlia i really like her dub voice and i love how i can deal damage and heal at the same time it’s saved me countless times and the main reason i really like her is because she reminds me of my icy wifu esdeath anyways amazing video keep up the good work

I've taken a bit of a liking to Azami, Ursula, and Kassandra. I find myself switching between them quite often.
But in terms of affinity chart and heart-to-hearts, I like Perun as well, while Ursula's biggest flaw just so happens to be that very same affinity chart.
Whoever decided it was an entertaining idea to have Ursula's growth revolve around mercenary missions, needs to be pulled aside and given a stern lecture on how to create an interesting character story arc.
Which is a real shame, because she is, IMO, the most adorable blade in the entire game, with Kassandra pulling a close second.
I love Vale so much. She is an amazing dark blade with a great ability and one of the best break arts in the game. Boreas is another one i love as you can max out his afinity chart aslong as you are rich. His level 2 special is one of the best healing moves in the game too.
I just got Perun yesterday and equipped her with the mirror weapon chip for 8% auto-attack damage returned as healing, 55% crit chance, galaxy cube accessory for 50% chance to land an extra auto attack, and modern metal for 17% of crit damage returned as healing. So every auto-attack i'm healing for 200-500+ health not including her battle skills damage increases.

My favorite is Kos-Mos. I’m currently around level 55 even though I’m supposed to be fighting level 45 monsters, and that’s because she’s a monster when it comes to damage. Not only that, but she has ranged attacks as well. Her field skills are ok, but when playing as Rex and dealing the damage, I definitely recommend her as first pick if you ever get her. She’s also good for even picking enemies out of the air, including flying bosses. Ugh, I just love her so much, she’s helped me along in the game sm ;w; ❤️
Just got her! (On my second save...) I love all the blades (Herald!) But hate that Kos-Mos is the hardest blade to fight RNG for!
I'm super late, but just wanted to thank you lol. I've been farming Core Crystals and I thought to myself: "Hey, let's use them!". First Core of the list and BAM. I got Perun. Then I keep trying, wondering if I'll get another one. BAM, got Floren. I think I should thank you because I watched your video in the morning and then thought that it'd be cool if I got any of the Blades you've shown (aside from my queen Azami cuz I already had her).

For all of you that like Brighid... her VA also voiced Boreas and Finch. That's real talent.

No, theyre still there once you get the ability to equip any blade, even if its not bonded to you.
I'm thinking about playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (btw this is my first experience playing a Xenoblade game), but I need tips for the game. Like which blade is the best, what certain things that I have to do in the game.
Finch/Wulfric/Zenobia and kos-mos are my favorite blades.

I got a few of these really early in my game. (Playing for first time) Gorg was a god send! He was my go to man for field stuff for the longest!

The battle to get Theory for my case was a really pain in the ass, also need to do it 3 times since the first 2 times I killed the boss my game got freeze and the game crashed... -.-'
I got zenobia while trying to get a giant type mega lance common blade so I used nia and some bravery boosters to narrow down what it could give me and it gave me zenobia.
I have a few favorites like Boreas as soon as the you have access to the storage room you have easy access to most of his skills Azami again who doesn't love a dark puppet capable of taking down warships on her own and I just find Vess' quest very touching

Scitch2781 I was gonna say I can't exactly play when on the toilet... but it's the switch so you can. You seem upset but I was just giving Jay some activity before I went to work. If anything it's a testament to how his vids get me excited for when I can play.
I don't have most of these blades yet but Azami was one of the first ones I ever got and I'm so glad I got her early for Zeke. She's super good, her design is awesome, and her sidequest is hailriously creepy. She makes for a great companion to Dahlia on Zeke for me where I can have them both performing long-range attacks while I play as Zeke from a distance and let my more tanky characters take the hits
So i got azami as a level 13, on my 3rd common core, is this good or not
Perun for sure. It was mu first rare blade and she has been my main ever since. She works incredibly well in the right build

It's hard to narrow my favorite blade down to just one, I guess I'd say Ursula, she was the first rare blade I got and even though her side quest to max out her affinity chart was really tedious I felt accomplished when I finally did it literally on chapter 9, she's my go to healer blade on Rex when I want to have Nia as a driver, plus she's just hella adorable, like I said though it's hard to narrow it to just one, I also really liked Electra, Zenobia, Wulfric, Boreas, Perceval, and Floren, just to name a few
Azami was my first rare blade, and I got her in the Torigoth base.
For zenobia it is the bag of winds she is supposed to be based off if the shinto demon god of wind kazejin

I’m very late to the discussion here but Vale is my fav blade personality wise.
i still need to get zenobia and with her being one of the last 4 i need it's probably going to be a while till i get her.
Can we get some love for Adenine??? Her design is great and her personality is better!
God it would take a while to describe my favorites. But I'll try
(In no particular order)
1. Wulfric. Mostly design and personality. He is a really sincere and strong person with a cool design. I love his interaction with the old lady in fonset. The girl isn't intimidated and you can tell she reads him as the lovable giant we know him as.
2.Electra. She is adorable but I'll admit I didn't really use her in combat. I love her questline and how she tries her hardest to be cheerful and peppy. But tends to crack under a feeling of being a liability to her friends.
3. Ursula. Really tedious questline but a satisfying conclusion. Also the cute accent from the torigoth girl was a joy. Didn't really use her in combat otherwise. Also bear 🐻
4.Perceval. Cool Design, cool questline, good blade for ai morag. He just felt like an automatic choice in a lot of situations.
5. Gorg. Basically the JoJo character. I honestly think the incorporation of pink in his outfit is pretty cool. He helped me get past some of the end game fights (including Elma fight 2 and the bs poison fight in challenge mode). His cake pouch item was used for most of challenge mode. In general, gorg is one of my personal favorites because he got a lot of use even in post game.
6.Agate. A bit of personal bias because she was designed by a fire emblem artist. So she is probably my favorite female design in the game. Got a good bit of use in my rex topple and launch combos. She helped me in my agonizing grind to get cos mos. Even if you want to argue maxed out post quest Dagas is objectively the better version of her weapon type and role. She was still a constant inclusion in my rex or ai Zeke builds.
7. Theory/Praxis. Yes I count them as a pair. One of the better written questlines. I'll admit I lean more towards theory because I personally like her English dub a little more than praxis. She has a very nice voice imo. Great dynamic between the two. Also eyepatches to go with Zeke 😂
8. Xenobia. Yeah I'll admit I love how extra and over the top her design is. Her English dub giggle during some of her quotes is kinda a turn on ngl 😅
I could include some more, but I feel like it would approach spoiler territory, by that point
Somehow I didn’t trigger the Praxis quest till post game despite frequenting Torigoth lol. As for my Baeblade it’s a story blade, I don’t wanna spoil it so I’ll just call the Scimitar. Second is prolly my first rare pull which was Perun, ran her on Nia all story.
HoodedLefty my favorites are definitely dagas and Godfrey. Dagas has a similar ability to mythra so a high crit dagas becomes pretty good
Praxis quest will trigger with the following conditions: You have 1.10 core crystals, 2. the 4th member, 3. bought the info about the blade smugglers.
I feel ya, I didn't trigger it till after chapter 7.

remember where you first fought brigid? it was in torigoth behind those buildings. It gets triggered in the same place as that.
I just got Godfrey as my first rare blade, and I just freed nia and I’m about to go to the second titan... should I use him? He’s a tank, and I really don’t feel like becoming a tank, as I’ve got tora already
he has an niche use for morag if she dont pull anything decent. For me, his Personal Quest is the Worst...
Best blades:
3: Adenine- The "nerdy" character but she doesn't have the negative connotations like every other nerdy character ever.
2: Rex's Story blade- The idea of the best healer in the game basically removing your other healers is a genius idea.
1: Theory- "Hey, did you poison these?" "I dunno, should we have?" Best dialogues in the game.
My very first rare blade drop was Azami (really early in the game I was level 20 but I'm 35 now) but I don't use her often because no combo possible with the others, but I didn't know that she was that important :o I will use her when I will be able to make combos.

My favorite blade is Praxis cause I like her design and personality, Adenine cause she is a book worm, and Herald cause she has power and is fairly easy to build help her affinity chart though mainly Praxis though.
I really like Zenobia cause she's badass.
Boreas is such a great healer.
And Vale, i'm just in love with her...
Out of the blades I've actually gotten, I think my 'BaeBlade' would be Herald, but my overall favourite design for any blade is definitely Dagas, I just wish that he used a spear instead of an axe. The main blades I use are Wulfric, Praxis and Perceval though.
one look at perun and I immediately recognized the art style, but having confirmation that she was drawn by the team who worked on code geass is truly awesome. Geass top anime no contest
My top 5, some ability and opinion but here it is:
5. Pandoria (I think this is mostly me adoring her personality/design - plus her DMG output and best launch Art w/ Zeke)
4. Brighid/Agaeon (obligatory OP tank combo)
3. KOS-MOS (dmg/heals + a throwback)
2. Roc (High attack speed fills party guage super fast, and leads to obnoxiously high DPS with an alarmingly high crit rate, paired with crit heal - is OP. Extra dmg to airborne targets, plus having him finishing Launched targets? Oh lordy)
1. Boreas (when used with Morag and her Ball arts, best damn heals in the game - and makes Morag a self sustaining Tank - Twang!)
my top 5 are:
5. Adenine: one of her heart to hearts is an interesting battle of knowledge. granted its not a very long heart to heart, but its interesting and makes you want to know more about the xenoblade universes.
4. Boreas: an interesting blade that quite possibly has one of the easiest affinity charts out there. however, its going to take some money to get it done. not a mountain of gold (compared to a certain other blade who shall remain nameless (hint: you saw the blade in the intrduction of this video)), but it would be best to hold off until you get access to more salvaging areas.
3. Roc: a glass cannon, but i like his style. he would be higher on the list if it weren't for his frustrating affiniy chart. it requires taking on merc missions. unless you are consistent on getting these done, this blade will fall behind fast. i do like how he handles flying enemies.
2. Perceval: his artwork when he is summoned to his personal mission. the art style reminds me of Fire Emblem: Shadows of Valentia. I would really like to know more of his backstory. it really interested me into knowing more about other blades as well.
1. Kora: Dat Ass .......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... But seriously i like her bubbly attitude. yes she can talk you ear off, but i love her optimism. shes also a pretty decent healer too. got her with Rex and with her along with Nia and Dromarch, makes leveling up, fighting unique monsters, getting aux cores and grinding for monster portions of the affinity charts pretty smooth. if you have Nia and Kora in the party, fight some monsters and you might hear there little chat. it's pretty funny.
I like Zenobia, just finaly had her yesterday on Zeke and gonna upgrate her immediately ah, but Azami is definitely bae
My Baeblade has to be either Theory or Praxis. They're both pretty good.
My first rare blade was Zenobia when I was using Nia.
My Baeblade is Vale, goth aesthetic, good weapon, good skills, and I got her early on so I spent a lot of time with her
Runner-up goes to Herald, probably has the coolest lore of any non-legendary blade, great design, interesting personality, easy affinity chart and insanely strong, Herald overall feels like she should've been a legendary blade
Great vid but I've been unlocking multiple core Crystal but I've only gotten one Ursula how to get rear blades.

To increase your chances to get rare blades, increase your luck stat. There are some accessories and blades that’ll help you do this when you equip them. Also, the farther you get in the game, the more your luck stat goes up so you may be getting more later.

My Top 5 is
Agate, i adore the crystal aesthetic and she has a phobia of bugs which i relate to.
Newt, i dont know, i just like tomboys.
Although the eye on the back of her head is creepy.
Herald, amazing design and lore, and a super useful attacker. (Actually use her over pandy on zeke)
Wulfric, super strong and just a sweet dude. Also loved his quest.
Vale, easily my favourite. My very first rare blade and since then a mainstay on Rex.
Love her personality too.
Mythra obviously, not even once i released her in the game even when doing a field skills lol, i even extremely hesitant making her do Merc group missions.
I legit started crying before I even watched the video because of the title.
My top 5 would be:
5. Boreas - I adore his fattiness, especially his quote "It was easy as pie! *sigh* Pie"
4. Zenobia - I actually liked her affinity chart, helped me find unique monsters I overlooked, she was also my 2nd to last blade so I was already OP by then, lol
3. Floren - on top of what you said, I also liked that he used his "charms" for good, that makes him more lovable
2. Herald - she's awesome, end of story
1. KOS-MOS - I loved the first Xenosaga (only entry I played) end of story

Ursula - Beary looks stupid but Ursula's story hits home since I'm a singer
Praxis - love her design
Aegeon - he likes cute and fluffy things, even referred to Niall as that
My absolute favourite for Rng blades would be KOS-MOS

Deadpoule Can't say due to story spoilers, but never overdrive a blade to rex, if anything, overdrive her to Zeke.
I don't know why but I always gravitate to the looked over ones when it comes to anything. XB2 is no exception because my favorite is actually Agate. She has a very nice design as well as having my favorite blade sidequest. However, Wulfric is my second favorite because he's adorable and Adeline is my third cause I'm into nerds.

Perun was my first blade and I couldn't have been happier she was a legit badass. Unfortunately still missing Zenobia who I wanted next but one day she'll be stumbled upon. Cant argue when I got Kosmos by chapter 8. Great vid mate.
Zeebonbon3 same here. I got perun on ch. 3 but only use her a bit. Don’t really like to play lance class and to hard to open her affinity chart so I change over to kora since she getting weaker while I keep progressing on the main quest. Her chart was stuck on level 1. It requires you to do three great deeds

Dahlias design absolutely shreked me, but then I wapped her out on nia and she pumps people. Her orbs of death are too strong!
Dagas has got to be my favorite blade. His affinity chart is a pain in the ass, especially since it practically is reborn once you complete his sidequest. But I love the battleaxe so much and his design is amazing (coincidentally, the artist 'hakus' also designed Azami) and really appeals to me since I play a lot of Fire Emblem. Agate is also cool, but she can't hold a candle to Dagas.
Sheba mythra and floren on rex it's op to make great dommage with sheb, easy heal with mythra and low focus with floren
Dagas is one of the best... After his sidequests he gets awesome!
Personality wise, I think Corvin is best. He's a good boi who just wants to help everyone. I like Wulfric as well, he's a gentle giant and his voice kinda reminds me of Batman.

Just re-tried the Game after an long Break. My personal top 5 Baes: 5. Perun. Would be higher if she would smile a little more. 4. Kora (yeah im weird). 3. Poppi qt (Robo Maid). 2. Mythra (Blonde Tsundere).1. Zenobia (just Badass). P.S. Brighid would be somewhere here but she belongs to Morag 😉

Why kos mos not in the list ?
I'd say KOS-MOS is my fave but I haven't been lucky enough to get her yet, so for now I'll go with herald. I'm not really a fan of controlling the gun blades, but dear god are they useful! I control Morag as tank with Brigid, Theory and Kassandra and let Zeke and Nia destroy with Herald, Sheba and Azami.
