The Gammonwood mastiffs seem more athletic and what i imagine a mastiff to be. As sweet as these dogs are they're a product of excessive breeding for size and wrinkles. The Neo is the same... underneath it's a corso but with a different breeding strategy became whatever it's supposed to be today. Sad really as well bred mastiffs (athletic wise) are a sight to see. My corso is fawn with a blue/black mask and you'd swear he was a mini EM to look at but is in peak condition.
Love the breed and the channel but i dont know.. am i wrong for preferring a more trim athletic build, surely its more beneficial for the dogs health? not sure i will be able to find such in the uk though unfortunately. anyway love the video, very informative.

Wonderful breeders, and great that you are featuring Will Atherton and his puppy!
I love English Mastiffs one of my favorite breed of dog
What a beauty, I wish I was able to have 1, tears ago I had a mastiff dane mix, she was a wild child.
Its summer already, Anneka..... off with those jackets!!!
Wow! Amazing!!!! I got to know about different breeds dogs through your videos mam. I had never seen this heaviest beautiful dog before.👍😊👏👏👏🙏😍
One thing not mentioned in this video is how good they are with kids (once they're no longer puppies.) We currently have 2 9 month old English Mastiff puppies, Lilith (approx 140 pounds) and Lucifer (about 160). We also had a mastiff rescue years ago. We also have 3 young girls. While these are big old beasts, I'm convinced the girls could cut off the dogs' tails and they'd just lay there. They are really gentle with kids and make amazing family dogs.
Please make a video on french mastiff , fila brasilro , american akita and tosa inu
Lovely breed of dog in my top 3.
Gorgeous beasts.
What a loveable breed♥️
Fabulous video from the best breeders … well done Womlu Mastiffs ❤️❤️❤️
Best ever looking mastiffs I've seen are gammonwood , there big but very fit
Yeah, the original breed didn’t look like this. They seem to be going the same way as the Neapolitan mastiff which are overweight and overly wrinkled.
@@rewind12354 yep, that's why I love what Gammonwood have done,,I think there pied mastiffs are some of the best dogs I've seen and there greiffs dogs look outstanding really nice fit athletic dogs both the greiffs and the mastiffs are top drawer
They did a cross to a racing greyhound to fix done off there issues.
@@meirionnyddroberts9981 no they mixed greyhounds to mastiffs ,greiffs,,and those greiffs were bred back to the English mastiffs ,,doing like they would of done hundreds of years ago,the mastiff and the greyhound are two of the oldest breeds here in England
@@darrenfry4695 that's exactly what I said fella they out crossed greyhound to EM.
Beautiful puppies
My Sydney was with me 10 years. The best dog ever.
The bark is impressive as any bark I've heard
I know. It is just so majestic 👑. Tellu is our third mastiff, she doesnt have the impressive bark yet (5months old)😛, but it coming soon.
I met one a few years ago. He was huge! From the Lynley Dodd book Hairy Maclary - "Hercules Morse, as big as a horse."
Fantastic film!!! Fantastic dogs! Very good music! Love from Sweden! Is it your homecountry Annika???
This one of the best dogs i ever had at 220 pounds smart and loving
Lovely one! I’ve always adored mastiffs. It’d be great to see more of these (Spanish mastiff for a next one?)
Thanks for keeping them coming
BEAUTIFUL DOGS

I miss my Mastiff Mama Moosh she was just the most wonderful dog I ever had I got her from a shelter when she was 6 months old and she was the best thing you could imagine just all love and fun
My Mum used to bread OEM and show them back in the day. From early childhood I remember these (Usually) gentle giants around the house. I remember when I later had kids of my own and having pics of my very young son sat next to Henry on the sofa. He was a beast and absolutely dwarfed my son, but such a gentle dog. Henry was always mums fave and she cried for hours when he died.
Love it 👍. Cheers Anneka
I have a puppy English currently and she is the most low energy loving dog on the planet
So huge, gorgeous, handsome, and wonderful breed 💕 I love this educational video. I won't skip the ads for you. Bali island in Indonesia is home of a smaller guard dog called Kintamani dog. I wish you will have a time to look into it one day. 💕
I wish you had gone to Gammonwood, their mastiffs are different from any that I've seen!
Love the breed and the channel but i dont know.. am i wrong for preferring a more trim athletic build, surely its more beneficial for the dogs health? not sure i will be able to find such in the uk though unfortunately. anyway love the video, very informative.
we have a dog that the mother was brindle bullmastiff and the father was a fawn english mastiff. he is a DOUBULLMASTIFF. Considered to be a designer dog he truly is a head turning one of a kind. he weighs in at 155 pounds. his colors and hair is unbelievable . a true gentile giant.
im going to look at a brindle pup tommorow! im excited!!!
I had an English neopolitan mastiff cross (rescue) as a teenager. The most loyal and loving dog you could imagine, very protective though. We had to introduce any new people outside and walk them in with him otherwise he would get antsy... He lived to eleven
Had mastiffs all my life but now there is only one since sadly we had to put the other one down some time ago. Beatiful dogs.
Mastiff dogs have been bred in Britain since pre-Roman times and then exported throughout The empire by the Romans who valued them above the Greek mollosus. I wonder how many mastiff breeds around Europe descended from the British mastiffs.
My dad owned a male English Mastiff before dog was pretty chill compared to the neighbors 3 female Bull Mastiffs that were always barking at everyone who passed the house currently we own a Great Dane.
Yeah Bullmastiffs are abit more aggressive.
Yea dog bitches and human bitches are always yapping about something.. Interesting how similar the 2 are
Wish I could adopt such a beautiful dog from Womlu, unfortunately I live in the states, maybe someday!
Anneka lying on the ground with the mastiff is me in social situations when people have dogs. Hahahah
Me too Kiera !
Good thing you have an extra large dribble rag😎 These dogs are gorgeous. Great characters and very intelligent.
I used to be a cat person, not until I had an English Mastiff. The drools and cuddles are very real. I'm squeezing an English Mastiff right now while I'm watching this video.
I worked with 2 at a kennel. They both hated me for about 30 minutes, then realized I was the best thing that ever happened to them. They became my Shadows.
This is what heaven looks like 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 Mastiffs for days!!!!!
Gutted they’re on the Most Venerable list. I Love these dogs. They’re gorgeous, big, and cuddly dogs.
My English Mastiff was the best dog I ever owned, putting her down was the one of the saddest moments of my life.
I probably get a dogs for my kids one day, but my Mastiff will always be the best dog and last dog I own.
My best girl was a Mastiff, she was the best friend I could every dream off. She passed at 12 yrs old I can never replace her.
