The sweet spot would be the 7900xtx, but the 4090rtx would maximize the system. Most ppl are waiting out till 5000rtx series and 9000amd series. What do you recommend to cool down the 7800X3d. I've heard air to 240 aio is all it needs.
I paired it with the 7800XT for 240fps 1080p gaming. I finished my build a month ago. I would have paired it with the 7900XTX and gone for 2K instead, but that wasn't in the budget. Had to prioritize other things like getting an SSD for my OS finally, going for more RAM after upgrading from Vegas Pro 16 to 21 and finding I could suddenly make use of more RAM. Jumping to AM5 was a huge cost as well. Love these videos btw.
I'm going to be building my first pc, hopefully soon, with the 7800x3d. Will be going with the 7900 GRE as the price of a 7900xt in white is 200+£ more. Will also be going with the Asrock b650 for motherboard, all encased in a Lian Li 216
I built 2 "portable" HTPC's with the 7800X3D. 1 with a 7900XTX and one with a 4070. When I travel, I take the 7900XTX. That way I can have a full up PC to travel with, without the limits of a laptop. All my streaming services are in there so I don't have to log in with my password to the hotel's streaming services. Sure a laptop can offer some of the same and is a bit more convenient on portability, but I like my portable full up PC that fits in a backpack. Speakers, game controllers, mouse/10 keyboard and 4K monitor.
I am currently upgrading my old PC (i5-4690k ,asus GTX970) -it served quite well and still working ok. And my new PC that I am currently building is : CPU: ryzen-7-7800x3d, RAM: gskill-32gb-ddr5-6000mhz-cl30-trident-z5-neo-rgb , PSU: seasonic-focus-gx-1000-atx-3-0, MB: asus-rog-strix-b650e-f-gaming-wifi , GPU : msi-geforce-rtx-4070-ti-super-gaming-x-slim-16g - tempoary card - plan to upgrade to RTX5080 in january , SSD - kingston-kc3000-nvme-2tb, CASE: Be quiet! SHADOW BASE 800FX, Cooler: DEEPCOOL MYSTIQUE 360
I built that same setup for my son. With 670E and gen 5 SSD. He loves it. Won’t even play on my custom water cooled core I9 14900kF with water cooled 4090. 4 SSD RAID 0. Nope he picks his every time.
I just upgraded from a 9700k to a 7800x3d. Definitely recomend. The performance increase for the price is unparralled and it pairs great with my 6700xt. I think this will go down as one of the best cpus of all time.
Great video as always. I finished my 7800X3D 7900XTX build a few months ago and I would say the no boot drive advice is not good. Having your OS separate from your files and apps is much better than having to format the entire drive if nothing is separate, which I had to not too long ago when Windows 11 started blue screening out of nowhere with random error codes every time. I could not fix it without formatting as every option, like repair or reset etc would just blue screen. Fortunately I still had my old pc with all of the data I needed on it, but this still meant I had to reinstall all the apps. If I had to start over I would get a separate OS drive for peace of mind. I don't want to have to go through that again and thankfully it hasn't happened so far. Buying a 500GB or even 250GB drive for your operating system will absolutely mean your data cannot be lost unless that specific drive fails, no relying on operating systems being perfectly stable all the time. I would also not get the Corsair Shift PSU as even in my Fractal Define 7XL there isn't really enough room to manage all the cables on the back side. I managed to to it barely and get the side panel on, but since I have a PSU shroud I would have just gone for the regular orientation drive.
Sorry you went through that! One day I'll do a video on data backup, because regardless of your drive setup I strongly recommend it and you can re-image your entire drive or load in a backup copy. Also good to know about the Corsair shift. IMO it isn't worth the extra money and I haven't been recommending it.
I got the shift and found out that with my old case, it wouldn't even fit in the normal orientation there was no cut out. I had to install it upside down and defeated the feature of easier cable management. But I was doing a full system upgrade anyway, so when I chose my new case I made sure that it had the proper cut out and room for cabling and fan/rgb hubs, I wanted to avoid the nightmare from the previous build. It's a good A tier psu now. And the cpu 8 pins were so much cleaner to route.
@@boredandagitated Me too. I had that setup in my last pc I just was cutting costs since I was buying a beast of a pc and I'm not exactly flush with cash. Paying twice later just isn't fun.
This video was exactly what i am looking for to assist with a build this year. I don't game per se but I am a flight simmer with Xplane 12. These builds will greatly improve my experience now so thank again Jason for your hard work
I have the same CPU a 7900xtx, gigabyte b650 aorus pro, 32gb t force delta ddr5 6000, 2tb 980 pro nvme, Thermalright assassin 120 se, 1000w super flower psu
I'm building a similar one here in Japan because it would be financially impossible to do so in my home country. I think I'm gonna have a few issues taking it all back to my home country but it's worth every yen.
@@PCBuilderChannel i used the premium build and the aoi cooler doesn’t fit anywhere the motherboard heatsink blocks the aoi cooler from being seated up top
I just built my first pc with the 7800x3d, 7800xt, 32 GB 5600 ram, and thermalright phantom spirit. It works great with 100 - 150 FPS at 1440p ultra settings on all the games I play.
@@VimyScout cool beans. i'll have to check my bios number. thanks for that! Say, do you make use of all the audio outputs? i've only ever used the one green jack but i'm looking for a powered center channel to go into the "C/sub" output
Amazing!!! I just finished my build last night thanks to you Jason, everything I gained from watching a multitude of your other videos you just bundled into one! Here is where I landed: NZXT H5 Flow, Strix B650 E-F, 7800X3D, 7900XTX Taichi, 32GB Trident Neo DDR5 CL30 6000, SK Hynix P41 2TB, Be Quiet Pure Power 12M 1000W. Using this to make the AW3423DWF sing 🎶. One question: The pure power came with (2) PCIE slots and (1) PCIE 5. With the 7900XTX requiring (3) PCIE connections should I return the power supply for one with (3) or use the "devil spawn" of the second cable? Bear in mind, my closest microcenter to return said power supply is a 4 hour drive. THANKS!
I upgraded quite a bit over my old PC. Did a little future proofing as well with gen 5 lanes on mobo and the larger PSU for possible GPU upgrade later down the line. Old set-up was a 6700k with a 2060. My newest build: 7800x3d, 7900xtx, 4tb Samsung 990 pro M.2, x670e Msi Mag Tomahawk, Evga CLCX 360 Aio, Vengance 32gb DDR5-6000 CL30, 7 Sl v2 Lian Li fans, beQuiet Darkpower 13 1000w PSU, and it's all sitting nicely in a Lian Li 011 evo dynamic case. Paired with an Alienware 3440x1440 OLED 165hz Free Sync Premium Pro. Runs everything in Ultra settings w/o RT at 165fps+ easily. Don't even need to use frame generation on some games and i never use upscaling at all. Amazing performance and looks stunning on the monitor especially with HDR.
@@anon1963 No mistake. I got a GPU that beats a 4080 on near everything except ray tracing(which is a garbage resource hog), runs smooth as silk, gives me smart access memory with my CPU, runs 3440 x 1440 at 165 fps+ on almost every game at Ultra settings, AND was still 300 cheaper that any 4080 i could get at the time. The only better card was a 4090 and I'm not stupid enough to pay over 2k for maybe 15% more performance. Nvidia has to get better pricing and business ethics or i will stay with AMD.
Recently made the decision to build my first PC and I came across your channel while doing research, all your videos have been extremely helpful in finding and choosing the right parts for the right price. This video specifically was a great relief because I’m going for an extremely similar build to the ones here so I figured I must be doing something right. This channel is a gem! Thank you Jason and Cat for all you do.
How is that combo man? Im thinking of building the same but i dont know witch motherboard to choose. The msi Tomahawk one i read that have bios issues... What motherboard did you get? And is it everything smooth?
@@sotosmotos1643 newegg had a cpu/mobo combo sale. GIGABYTE X670 GAMING X AX V2 came out to 149 for the mobo at the time. Overall Solid system. TBH I mostly play fighting games so I’m not pushing the GPU to the limit. I also use it for CAD/MODELING and no complaints. More than enough for my 1440p monitors. I found that the running an AIO compared to an AIR cooler was better by 10 degrees in my case. DLDSR is nice too
@@sotosmotos1643 newegg had a mobo/cpu combo deal that PCBuilder posted for a GIGABYTE X670 GAMING X AX V2 with coupon. MOBO came out to $149. This is a solid system. TBH I mostly play fighting games at 1440p, so it's not really pushing the GPU to it's limits. I also use for CAD/3D Modeling. I'm running and AIO cooler over an Air Cooler. I found in my case it runs 10 degrees cooler with an AIO. DLDSR is great too. I pretty much run 4k max settings.
I'm such a noob to all of this... I went with a build a guy online was building because I could follow the video. He was using the radeon rx 7900 xtx... but I ran out of money so I dropped all the way down to the radeon 6800. I figure I can save for the xtx and then sell the 6800 in a few months or so and theoretically get most the money back. Anyways, it's my first pc build but I've been doing a lot of research lately. Cpu comes in this Saturday and I'll have everything I need. Hopefully I don't mess it up 😂
@chrisfromca same one as In this video. I didn't know that I should spend less on it and go for a higher priced graphics card. I figure it's alright tho as I will just sell the used 6800 and get either an rtx 4080 super or the rx 7900 xtx in a few months or so. For now the 6800 should be fine. Well... at least based on my limited knowledge 😅
@@billylevelsup5634 Yeah now is the time to hold of on buying a new GPU. The 5000 series NVidia cards (end of this year) and the newer AMD stuff will be here soonish. So if you can save up for ~6 to 8 months then a reduced 4000 series card or 7000 series card will hopefully be a good deal. That's my goal right now. I just didn't have the cash to get a new gpu last year. I ended up needing to get a new CPU+motherboard+ram because I had an i7-3930k that finally died after I moved house. So I got an r9-7950x back in october in 2022. That's been good since I found and fixed the issues with it. Now I need to get a new gfx card. My thinking is that I won't need a new CPU for about 6 to 8 years if I go for the more expensive one. In the past that usually worked. Get some more cores and they'll help in the long run. GFX cards are a different story. I've found that usually you want a new one every 2 years if you can, because of new GPU tech they keep adding,or 4 years if you want to stretch your budget and the games you play aren't slow. I want a bit more texture memory because I usually play video on a 2nd monitor and that means a 16gb or more card will be a good idea in the future. TLDR; Get a higher RAM GFX card because in the future better textures and AI stuff will use more RAM. Get a higher clock(better for games generally as most games are still single threaded/rely on high clocks) or multi core cpu (depending on what you want to do more cores might be better for background tasks and general longevity) and you won't go wrong generally. My old system was still limping along ok and I was going to upgrade the GPU but the motherboard died so upgrading the cpu first was the better option. I didn't have enough to get everything so I spent the extra few hundred on the much better cpu (the X3D versions wasn't out yet). Now 2 years later and the market for GPUs might not suck as much when the newer stuff later this year are released. Prices are still horrible.
I had a 7900X paired with my RTX 4090 and it turned my game room into a sauna. It was horrible. Performed fine, but just HEAT all the time. I just replaced it with a 7800x3D and OMG I don't have to run the AC in the winter anymore!!!
watching this on my 7800x3d and 7800xt, b650 tomahawk wifi mATX, and peerless assassin 120 se and 32gb of rams. You made a huge influence for my choices with previous videos.Ty
@@aoifegibzz Totally happy so far. It was a little hard to put it all together with mATX. But also maybe cuz it was my first build ever. Actually l would take ATX next time, just for easier building process. Other than that it's perfect I'd say. Tried few games like Hogwards Legacy, Assasins Creed Valhalla, God of War and it all go smooth on ultra. Enough of cooling too.
I just ordered same everything but a 4070s instead of the 7800xt! Glad it’s working well for you, this is my first build so it’s a little confusing sometimes
For Christmas, I built my son's PC with the 7800 X3D, and paired it with a 9800 XT and ASRock B650E PG Riptide. He's having a blast and I have to thank you for all the videos. I'm currently in the hunt to build one for myself and I'm having a hard time not leaning towards the same components.....well, minus all the ARGB I stuffed in there for a wow factor. Couldn't help myself. I think I'm going to cram everything into the the Lian Li SUP, so my setup looks different than his Lancool 216. He has a Peerless Assassin, but I'd have to go with an AIO in that case. Hard not to go for the 9800 XTX for that extra VRAM, but for me...that's probably overkill. I gotta boast somewhere though...his desk is right there! :) Looking at my New Egg order history, I seem to upgrade every eight years.....I'm currently rocking my i5, with two Zotac NVIDEA GTX 970 4GB from 2016. I'm sad because I thought 10 years passed at least. Someone pointed out my blunder above. I thought I’d keep it there because it’s funny, but I meant the 7900 xt and xtx.
Are you absolutely certain you built with a 9800 XT? That GPU is 21 years old and slots into an AGP 8x port, which no modern motherboard can accommodate. Could it be a 7800 XT perchance? Aaaand a 9800 XTX isn't a thing. Does not exist. Might in the future, doesn't in the here and now.
Watching this video with a 7800X3D, B650 Aorus Pro AX, 4090 ROG Strix OC Ed., MSI M480 Spatium 1T (OS), Kingston KC3000 2T (Games), 64GB Ram Trident Z5 Neo RGB - 6000 MHz - CL30, Montech Air 903 Base white, NZXT Z63 RGB white, (4 x) NZXT F140P white, Toughpower GF3 1350W. @@eyeyamjstn628 I researched too much. No doubt 7800x3d is the best Gaming GPU. I also have a youtube channel with 900 subscribers. I m planning to build a content creation PC too. In Germany its cheeper than 7800x3d.
So crazy- almost all the recommendations were things I just purchased- glad to know I watched enough vids to maximize my build. Thanks for all the information as it really helped me hone in on these options to make the best PC for my money.
I was praying for a video like this. I’ve on a ryzen 5 3600 since 2019 and been looking to upgrade with this CPU and a 4070ti Super. Figured it was easier to just scrap the old one and build a brand new one 😅 These lists are a really helpful starting point even though Singapore stores dont stock some items, it’s a good gauge to compare pc parts that I have available to me!
Just ordered a build based on your earlier videos, got the 7800x3d, RTX 4070 ti super, Asus strix b650e-f and g skill Trident z neo ram, my build ended up being closer to $2500 with 64gb ram and more/faster storage and higher end PSU for future proofing since I want to use this for more than just gaming and I'm putting it all in a Jonsbo D41 mesh screen case.
I just built another PC. This one for me. I paired my 7800x3d with a RX 7900 XT. I'm loving it so far. I think I need to turn on Precision Boost Overdrive. I don't think I turned that on yet. Thanks for the reminder PC builder.

Absolutely. Have to agree with you there. I’ve built the 5800x3d, 7800x3d, and 7900x3d. The 2 CCD’s are a bit of an issue. I too recommend the 7800x3d. I paired my last 7800x3d build with Tcreate Expert (64 gb) DDR 5 6000, and a 4090. Ram was manually tuned. It is a monster.
I understand that not everyone has a Microcenter near them, but I would like to see some occassional mention of the "Microcenter effect" as that pricing for bundles just is such a game changer, want a correspondent to help with that? haha. @@gtrulez Yup, build is finished and had no issues handling games like Diablo 4, Helldivers 2 or Elden Ring @ 1440p, highest settings and Ray Tracing (with DLSS Q) so far. I've got a 7800X3D paired with a 4070 super, and I'm happy with the combo, I can max settings most games, and it's only really put under stress when pathtracing is involved, but then I just put DLSS quality and frame gen on and it runs smooth without sacrificing any noticeable difference unless you zoom in on screenshots, and tbh I barely notice the input latency difference, which is something I was nervous about after watching so many GPU comparison videos before buying.

@12:00 "so you don't need a separate boot drive for your operating system, so it's absolutely fine to have a single large capacity drive" That works perfectly well if you need 4TB or less. The needs of some are different. I use a partitioned 1TB nvme for boot, and 2x 10TB HDDs (system drive images and backups are external/offline).
Thanks, Jason. I truly appreciate your knowledge and experience. It's helped me learn a lot over the years. I agree that the 7800X3D is an excellent choice. I just bought a 7950X3D though. Why? I exclusively play MSFS and I'm kinda rolling the dice that Microsoft will live up to their promise of much better multi-core utilization in FS2024 (scheduled for release November 19th.) While it's certainly true that core parking and CPU affinity on the 7950X3D is trickier, there are ways to control both. Also, it's great to hear that the X670 chipset will handle XMP RAM. I found mine (G.SKILL Trident Z5 RGB 6400/CL32) on the Gigabyte motherboard (Aorus X670E Pro X) QVL, but I've been having second thoughts as to whether I should have gotten DDR5 that's explicitly listed as EXPO compatible. I'm keeping my 3 year-old 3090 Ti/24GB until GPU prices get better.
Thanks for being first with an M2 build video - really appreciated! M2 silver grater case arrives 30/9 280mm AIO/4TB NVMe/Corsair SFF PSU arrive tomorrow. Not sure on final positioning, I was thinking AIO top and GFX side mounted via PCIe riser though I might play a bit after watching your vid Either way, greetings from the UK and thanks for the info, keep up the good work, for those of us less experienced with SFF, it is really useful.
Thank you for the super thanks. Did we mention the M2 Grater? I'm aware of it and probably talked about it in a video but I think Optimum Tech did the build video. I'm not familiar enough with the case to advise on AIO positioning, but check out Optimum's video on it.
I just built this machine several months ago and it was extremely worth it. I went with a B650 Aorus Elite AX Mobo instead since at the the time I was having a hard time deciding which one I wanted. I think it might be having some Wi-fi issues, though.
I like mini PCs as well, but the performance difference is like driving a Prius vs Ferrari. Both have their uses, but when you want to go fast . . . . :)
Because that's not the Case anymore. There was a bug causing you to not be able to properly overclock the 7900GRE limited its performance. Now a driver update has fixed that so it's now a better GPU.
Great Vid as usual! How does the AMD 7800 x3D compare to Intel for those .1% lows (or highs?) in combat games? Hopefully you can do a video on that. Thx
I just ordered a 7800x3d which i will pair it with my AMD Rx 6950Xt. Previously i had a i9-14900kf which i fear was bottlenecked. Hopefully my new setup will improve my gaming experience on 1440p with a stable consistent 144fps at all times
No that hasn't been an issue for a long time so I don't recommend ASUS Motherboards. 2 Months or so ago they scammed Gamer's Nexus so I can't recommend them.

@PCBuilderChannel Thanks, Jason.
@user-is2mp6zz2q it can when you follow a video like this and buy a new Motherboard and Ram 😆😁
And the cpu 8 pins were so much cleaner to route.
save yourself a future headache and create yourself a medicat usb
Yeah I love having a separate OS drive , allows for easy windows reinstalls.
@@boredandagitated Me too. I had that setup in my last pc I just was cutting costs since I was buying a beast of a pc and I'm not exactly flush with cash. Paying twice later just isn't fun.

Amazing!!! I just finished my build last night thanks to you Jason, everything I gained from watching a multitude of your other videos you just bundled into one!
Amazing performance and looks stunning on the monitor especially with HDR.

amd gpu was a mistake byt the rest is great
@@anon1963 No mistake.

I just upgraded from a 5900x to the 7800x3d and paired it with a XFX Radeon RX 6950 XT
Was there improvement over the 5900x?
@@mrl2091 productive work ya. Gaming not so much. But the 7800x3d is a king of gaming
Hopefully I don't mess it up 😂
There's nothing wrong with the 6800. Stick with it till it feels slow. I'm still on an rx 570 :/.
I just bought the RX6800 on Monday! What CPU did you get?
Hows it goin?

Couldn't help myself. I think I'm going to cram everything into the the Lian Li SUP, so my setup looks different than his Lancool 216. I had a gtx1070 with i5-3570k..
@@gtrulez Yup, build is finished and had no issues handling games like Diablo 4, Helldivers 2 or Elden Ring @ 1440p, highest settings and Ray Tracing (with DLSS Q) so far.
What really impressed me is how cool the GPU runs, it idles at ~30 C and doesn't go higher than 60 C at full load. The CPU runs pretty hot though, ~45 C idle/65-70 while gaming, but I read that it's normal for these CPUs.
Overall I'm very happy with my build and unless something breaks it should easily last me 5+ years.
I got the 7800x3D & RTX 4090. Soo? 🎉
JK. I’m a poors.
I'm glad to finally chart my dream PC upgrade path on the horizon with this CPU. Jumping from i7-9700 to this one will be quite the leap... I hope!
What are your specs?
Just completed my first full rgb build with a phantom gaming Asrock RX 6800 xt.
Asrock steel legend mobo
i5 11600k cpu
Coolermaster hyper 212 cpu cooler
32gb trident z cl16 3200 ram
1tb m.2
1tb ssd
1.5tb hdd
Phanteks NV5 case
8-120mm coolermaster halo fans.
I just got most of these parts by watching your previous videos, PC part picker, and by chance, I have different RAM and MB but I ma excited that I got near the best possible parts for my budget. Thank you!
i have 3090 with 7800x3d , 32 CL 30 6000hz , gaming plus mbo , 4 tb , enough for full hd gaming:))))))
I commented on your last video, asking you to rate my build for a friend of mine. It was this build, so I guess you approve lol
Tell your friend congrats on the build!!! :)
Excellent content Jason. You're the best at what you do. This is a top-tier channel. Keep it up!!
that zero cable build looks like something that would be so good for air flow and easy to clean ! im definitely going to go for that.
I have a 7950x and a 4080, would it be worth switching the 7950x with the 7800x3d? I gane at 1440p
Look at comparisons on youtube to see the difference and if it makes sense to you.
I just ordered this build off of Newegg and supplemented with Amazon. Thank you so much.
Awesome! Hope you love it!
I've been tipping into the 17-20 GB of system memory used during gaming lately. That's with Chrome minimized (6 open tabs), maybe file explorer and the occasional HW monitoring overlay. 1440p, High/Ultra settings (no RT) in most of the top single player games. 7800X3D/7900 XT/32 GB CL30 6000
After taking Jason's advice, i built a pc w/ Gigabyte x670 Aorus Elite AX, AMD 7800x3d, MSI Suprim X 4090, TeamGroup Delta 32gb RGB ram in black, 2 TB Samsung 980 pro M.2, Samsung EVO 1TB, NZXT Kracken 240mm AIO w/LCD screen pump, Corsair RMe 1000 watt ATX 3.0 PSU with upgraded braided cables, 3 Lian Li UNI Infinity fans... All inside a black Fractal North case with a glass side panel... Thing is an absolute beast. I love it
Congrats on your build!!
Would enjoy watching you do the complete build and then set it up for best performance!
Just bought a gigabyte 4070 ti super with the 7800x3D, went for 360mm TT AIO and 1 exhaust with 3 Unifan intakes. H6 Flow RGB and the Team group Delta RGB Ram at 6400mhz speed.
It looks amazing so far. The only thing I've compromised on was the MOBO, the MSI B650S wifi
The PSU is the 750Watt deepcool Ak750D 80+ Gold
Got the Radeon 7900xtx with the 7800x3d bundle from micro center and after following and watching PC builder I’m happy x ax v2 motherboard isn’t giving me any problems the lancool 216 made everything super easy as a 1st time builder the tough part was really the bios and updating drivers while I was at MC I went ahead and bought a LG 240htz monitor I paid 2300 for all
Nice!
I pretty excited to see the new AM5 motherboard boards coming soon
I wish I waited for the 7800x3d but I was not waiting a year, which is when I built my system.
Thank for a great video! I'm about to build 7800x3d, 4070ti super, gigabyte b650m s2h (rev1.0), 32gb ddr5 5600mhz corsair vengeance, thermaltake smart bx1 750w, thermaltake toughair 110, 2tb ssd m.2 clie 4.0 t-force z44a5, and thermaltake v250 tg argb. Very exciting!!!
so should i upgrade my 4070? and if so what should i upgrade it to
What is your reasoning for the upgrade? What is your budget?
I just bought a whole new RIG 2 weeks ago lol.
I also took the 7800x3d with a 4080 super, a MSI X670E Gaming Plus WiFi, Cooler Master Masterliquid 240L Core for the CPU, 7 additional vents, SQ-Tower XTREME AF with 1 glas Windows on the left view side while the rest is Air flow friendly mesh, • 32GB DDR5 RAM 6000 MHz Corsair Vengeance RGB (2x 16GB - Dual Channel), 2x 2TB Samsung 990 Pro and a be quiet! Dark Power 13 - 850W fully modular - 80 PLUS Titanium Power Whip
I paired this with a new sharkoon Keyboard and an LG OLED Ultra Gaming Monitor with 240 Hz.
New sub here! My man you are such a clear speaker and presenter. Loved the content!
Glad you enjoyed the video, thank you! And thanks for the sub. Much appreciated and welcome to the channel :))
Hey Jason! This is a great channel! Just grabbed one of those 4TB Teamgroup SSDs and 32GB of Teamgroup 6000/C30 RAM! Rest of the build will include a 7800X3D, 4070 Ti Super (Palit), B650 Tomahawk and not decided on the rest yet! So back to more videos! 👍👍☕
Thank you for the super thanks! Build seems like it is coming along nicely! Glad I could help!
@@PCBuilderChannel You're the best, Jason. 👌
Thank you very much Jason - time to replace my 2015Alienware gaming laptop and looking forward to have a new state of the art desktop. Your reviews are super helpful!
What is your budget or what are you looking at for parts?
7800x3d , 4070 super, 64gb ddr5 ram, liquid cooled. loving it so much
So would 64gb 6400mz of ram be better than 32gb of ram?? Plz lmk
i love this dudes videos. he is so hyped in his videos; but very helpful and honest and her doesn't bullshit you .about what you need with out spending over the odds
Thanks so much, glad you're enjoying all the content! And thank you for tuning in.
Maybe it's a placebo effect but I notice a huge difference in performance from my b550/5900x/3070ti build to my b650e-f/7800x3d/4070ti super, it does everything for me, including streaming and gaming with high settings and even some ray tracing, great video!
That is a huge upgrade.
Thank you for the info. I paired my 7800x3d with the rtx 4070 ti super oh and thanks for the sign language.
Good combo!!
I'll finally be building my pc this month, pairing the 7800x3D with a 3080TI.... hopefully it will be good combo and everything goes well. ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-E and 6000 CL30 RAM and Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360
Good luck on the build!!
@12:00 "so you don't need a separate boot drive for your operating system, so it's absolutely fine to have a single large capacity drive"
That works perfectly well if you need 4TB or less. The needs of some are different. I use a partitioned 1TB nvme for boot, and 2x 10TB HDDs (system drive images and backups are external/offline).
The best pc build guides out there 100% Just straight up great information, with no added fluff. Your videos have been so helpful and informative.
Glad you like them! They take quite a bit of time but I love the feedback we get!
This has to be one of your best videos for PC builders.
Thank you! So glad its helpful
HEEELP, so in min 4:40 you say I can pair a IntelXMP DDR5 in a Ryzen Am5 motherboard? I’m new and I’m trying to learn for build one 😅
Funny you should ask after that last video, I got a 7800x3d to go with the 7900gre and a 27" 1440p oled monitor
I have the gigabyte x670E aorus master motherboard is that a good one?
Is there a huge difference between the non v2 and the v2 aorus elite ax?
Thanks for being first with an M2 build video - really appreciated!
M2 silver grater case arrives 30/9
280mm AIO/4TB NVMe/Corsair SFF PSU arrive tomorrow.
After Zen 5 launch, CPU/mobo/RAM undecided, will wait for Arrowlake before deciding.
Not sure on final positioning, I was thinking AIO top and GFX side mounted via PCIe riser though I might play a bit after watching your vid
Either way, greetings from the UK and thanks for the info, keep up the good work, for those of us less experienced with SFF, it is really useful.
I think i might need to build a new PC soon, but have been enjoying mini pcs
I like mini PCs as well, but the performance difference is like driving a Prius vs Ferrari. Both have their uses, but when you want to go fast . . . . :)
Which is the best cheapest 1000 watt psu that come with three separate power cables to power the Sapphire Pulse 7900xtx?
Why not the 7800xt if the 7900gre performs pretty similarly?
Because that's not the Case anymore. There was a bug causing you to not be able to properly overclock the 7900GRE limited its performance.
Now a driver update has fixed that so it's now a better GPU.
In my testing RAM speed IS important & changes FPS.
6400hz is what I personally found as the BEST ram.
Team Group's Expert 6400 CL32
Great Vid as usual! How does the AMD 7800 x3D compare to Intel for those .1% lows (or highs?) in combat games? Hopefully you can do a video on that. Thx
I just ordered a 7800x3d which i will pair it with my AMD Rx 6950Xt. Previously i had a i9-14900kf which i fear was bottlenecked. Hopefully my new setup will improve my gaming experience on 1440p with a stable consistent 144fps at all times
this video made me more confident on my part choices for my first build
That's great to hear!
That's what we love to hear! You've got this! Be sure to check out our How To Build A PC video :)
does asus motherbord still have problem with 7800X3D ?
No that hasn't been an issue for a long time so I don't recommend ASUS Motherboards.
2 Months or so ago they scammed Gamer's Nexus so I can't recommend them.
Your videos are just chefs kiss
Bro Jason, you know this job very well, well done.
Thank you! Appreciate that
