I’ll never forget being invited up to a party in a suite at Mandalay Bay after a show at the house of blues in 2009. Lineup was Cute Is What We Aim For, Meg & Dia, Breathe Caroline, Every Avenue and Anarbor. When we got to the suite, the TVs had porn playing and most attendees were highly intoxicated. Suddenly, a crowd gathered looking into one of the rooms in the suite. I peaked in and realized an extremely drunk girl (who may or may not have been 18) was on the ground with an Every Avenue band member being sexually taken advantage of. He was also very very drunk, I should say. Luckily, she had a friend who came rushing in and pulled her out of the room - the friend was yelling and extremely upset. The crowd booed as she pulled the girl away and left the party. Sick feeling in my stomach every time I think about it. Even if she was willing, she was not in the right state of mind to be in that position - at all.

I think an aspect people tend to forget is a artist’s label and/or management sometimes have a direct impact on damage control for these controversies. There’s a misunderstanding that artists have total free reign on what they can discuss on their social media platforms. It’s totally plausible that labels/management would play accomplice & suggest sweeping allegations under the rug or suggesting the band stay quiet to see if it passes over. And if there’s enough negative PR surrounding the artist, they’d probably green-light a statement that covers the bare minimum. This could’ve been the case with Mike Fuentes in 2020. Perhaps their management/label/PR were hoping people would forget about the allegations so they could keep Mike with that virtual performance. But we didn’t, so they had no choice but to hold him accountable and have him 100% resign his position. I digress, I think you should try to put the labels, management, and team under scrutiny as well in your videos series because they essentially dictate the PR of the controversies, statements, & the narrative of their clients

Ironically, I was at the Orlando, FL Warped Tour in 2011 that A Day To Remember headlined. After the show, some kids were running around freaking about something, so me and my friends asked them what was going on and they said “Some people saw the bassist for ADTR screaming and making a scene in front of his girlfriend” a few different people walked by us and confirmed the story. Not sure how true any of it is, but it’s super ironic that this happened in 2011, apparently multiple people heard about it and “seen” it go down, that it was said it was the bassist and his girlfriend, and that this was around the same time that the allegations came up. I’m no rocket scientist, but it seems pretty sketch to me looking back on all of it.

I saw ADTR in late 2021 literally days after Josh left and they literally sounded no different 😂. So on top of him “ Allegedly” being a creep I also feel he just didn’t contribute that much in the band to begin with
he was never really great. jeremy and i started our 1st punk band in HS (told me to get a bass in 8th grade and we'll start a band). he wrote all the songs and just taught me how to play them on bass. im sure did the same for josh. bass was never really important to Jeremy and the fact that they sound no different without it isnt exactly a shock.

As an ADTR fan, I bumped FTWHH, Homesick and CC all day, You Should’ve Killed Me & Monument inspired me so much growing up I can’t stop listening to ADTR but I will always condemn what Josh did. I played warped tour around the same time as these dudes and can confirm it wasn’t just the bassist. Kevin told the bands that if anyone snitched we would be booted off warped. This was a common practice to protect big selling bands, not just ADTR.

Ironically, I was at the Orlando, FL Warped Tour in 2011 that A Day To Remember headlined. After the show, some kids were running around freaking about something, so me and my friends asked them what was going on and they said “Some people saw the bassist for ADTR screaming and making a scene in front of his girlfriend” a few different people walked by us and confirmed the story. Not sure how true any of it is, but it’s super ironic that this happened in 2011, apparently multiple people heard about it and “seen” it go down, that it was said it was the bassist and his girlfriend, and that this was around the same time that the allegations came up. I’m no rocket scientist, but it seems pretty sketch to me looking back on all of it.
yea but keep in mind that bad rumors get twisted and sometimes people add stuff to make it more interesting, not saying its not true, but if it is, the ex girlfriend has by all means the right to lawsuit and possibly press charges, it just goes to show that in any situation, keep your head on straight and dont do things you know dam well are wrong, all or any men who might have witnessed this shouldve then and there went and either call police or beat his ass which is again wrong, but someone i would think would have the sense to do ine of the two, idk its a good argument and good video series, good job on dude for posting.

Dude, you are killing it with these videos. Keep it up. A band i did tech for around 2013 toured with ADTR for a 3 week run and i wont get into specifics right now but Josh is absolutely a POS.

I saw ADTR in late 2021 literally days after Josh left and they literally sounded no different 😂. So on top of him “ Allegedly” being a creep I also feel he just didn’t contribute that much in the band to begin with
Other than not really playing the bass all that well, he didn't contribute at all 😂
I saw them last year with Beartooth, I saw a one of the guitar techs playing bass off to the side of the stage.
he was never really great. jeremy and i started our 1st punk band in HS (told me to get a bass in 8th grade and we'll start a band). he wrote all the songs and just taught me how to play them on bass. im sure did the same for josh. bass was never really important to Jeremy and the fact that they sound no different without it isnt exactly a shock.
Yeah I had always thought that too. He was there just to play the easy bass riffs others wrote for him lol. Not a musician at all

As an ADTR fan, I bumped FTWHH, Homesick and CC all day, You Should’ve Killed Me & Monument inspired me so much growing up I can’t stop listening to ADTR but I will always condemn what Josh did.
Still, hopefully he is not present in future live performances as I cannot die without seeing them live once. This one got me deep in the chest ngl. But I’ll never stop listening to them. It’s kinda hard tbh. If the allegations are true, I really hope the victims are able to get justice.
It kinda messes me up, knowing they made Life Lessons Learned the Hardway because of a girl who was Abused and Taken Advantage of, and Josh allegedly did all that. Fml. It hurts.

I definitely remember hearing rumours about Josh back around 2010-12. The guy was a creep.
I mostly remember it being about creepy interactions with underage girls. A friend had her breasts groped by him when getting a fan photo with him.
May also be anecdotal as this friend did like attention, and wasn’t always entirely honest.
Bro, recent subscriber here.. I want to say that I absolutely love the warped tour series.. growing up as a warped tour kid myself, my first in 2007.. I was 16, I'm 32 now. You should do another warped series of wholesome artist from the warped Era like 'Bert McCracken' for example from 'The Used' is someone who lived that life but became sober and still lives a great life after becoming a warped tour legend! Cause that doesn't happen a lot either..

Another band that has had someone they don't speak much about is Black Veil Brides and their old bassist Ashley Purdy...apparently there are some allegations as well
i heard that those were super unfounded though. granted i could be wrong and just not have all the information correct but my mom and sibling were massive fans of bvb and still support ashley to this day. if we're wrong though would love to know so i can let them know and they could stop supporting him
On Twitter I had Kai actually reach out to me after everything surfaced because I was kicking up such a fuss about how Josh/ ADTR were handling everything and boy oh boy, she’s got the proof and she’s telling the truth.
I then also had Alex, ADTR’s drummer then start messaging me on Twitter trying to clear/ change the narrative even though he had nothing but “he’s a good guy” and “he wouldn’t do those things” to back it up

Never was a big fan of adtr, only knew 2 or 3 songs. But having seen them as a support act for BMTH earlier this year and now hearing this about them feels so weird. Great series though and thank you for spreading awareness about all of this. I would have never known if it wasnt for you.

I played warped tour around the same time as these dudes and can confirm it wasn’t just the bassist. Kevin told the bands that if anyone snitched we would be booted off warped. This was a common practice to protect big selling bands, not just ADTR.
