As could I however, I think there would be one more homicide after a year on that particular beat.
Not during covid, I couldn't stomach what Australian cops do during then.
I can confirm this, twice. I have a big brother who'd hold me down and stuff when we were little and it's just way to fun too pay him back by embarrassing him every once in a while.
Also, I was busking in Sydney once as a backpacker and a police officer comes up, waits until the song finishes, says how much he likes Hendrix, asks what else I play and finally tells me in the most apologetic way, that I can't busk in this part of town, pointing out where the legal spots are.
And that's just one one several stories of this kind I experienced in Australia. Great people. Thank you, Aussies!

In Australia, a policeman will pull you over because he’s bored and lonely.
Amazing how the introduction of a single person could change the show's entire genre.
And then he'll probably start chatting for a bit.

pure gold.. wish this segment was longer
I could watch them for hours... Sadly lot of tv shows put too much shitty video editing into their vids by condensing into a 5 -10 min clip. Lot of content is actually lost.

I had a run in with the riot squad (they were called the tactical response group back then) in about 1984 at the bathurst bike races. They were doing a baton charge, took one look at how fucked up we were and just went round us. Seeing we were then behind their lines we went to the police compound and they made us all a cuppa
