    First off great video! Really does the best job showing what driving with this BOV is really like, especially for daily driving in all sorts of ways. Sold me on the BOV 100%. I know with this BOV you can change pretty much how loud it gets and I wasn't really going to mess with it, just keep it in the middle. But I wanted to know what yours was left at when you installed yours. Did you keep it as is or did you adjust it? Please let me know! Subbed.

I noticed that when I am somewhat low boost, I would say maybe 1-2.9k rpms, there is some sort of squeaking(ish?¿) noise coming from the front of the vehicle and I was wondering if you have noticed that noise before too and if you know what it might be. Thanks for the video man! I’m definitely debating getting the 50/50. I love the sound, it’s a guilty pleasure. I’m just worried about getting pulled over and getting a fixit ticket here in socal. my question is, does gentle acceleration, or feather footing the throttle cause a loud blow off? There’s a lot of CHP on my daily route and I know I’ll get hammered for anything. I chose the ford performance exhaust for this reason.

    • @andrewmackey6185
      @andrewmackey6185  4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Those were my initial concerns as well! I'm in SoCal too. If you feather your footing - a lot of the times you'll get some turbo flutter which is extremely quiet (but sounds cool inside the cabin). With gentle acceleration (driving like an old person) you wont set off the valve most of the time - and I have mine set pretty loose (I should have it a bit tighter which I might adjust in the future). If you're driving on the freeway in 5th or 6th and get into some boost and let off the throttle it will definitely go off but in my experience other cars will not be able to hear it. If you decide to go with this BOV, you will only draw attention to yourself if you really get on the throttle into boost and do some quick shifts and shift up into the next gear right back into boost. I can make a short video of driving it nicely and not getting into much boost if you would like to hear that!

      @@andrewmackey6185 First off, thank you for making this video. I love the BOV sound. I bought a 2018 ST (ST2 package) earlier this month and except for some really nice black SPARCO rims, it's all stock. I'm looking to do a symposer delete and intake and eventually a COBB AccessPort and BOV.
      However...and I'm NOT trying to call you out or anything, but I followed the link you posted and um.... the BOV doesn't have a CARB EO# (not Cali legal)
      Which SUCKS for me because I'm in northern Cali.

      @@andrewmackey6185 Yeah, so i ended up loosening it up pretty much to the point where it passes the O-ring and then maybe a half turn more, so it definitely helped. I think it has to be really loose in order to blow off because I live in a higher elevation so it would make sense.
