    This is awesome! Hope to see one of these for the GV60 too!
    For example, I learned from carSpecGarage’s channel.
    1) you can reboot the OS by putting car into accessory mode, then press/hold the SETUP + MAP buttons.
    2) to change from Celsius to Farenheit, you just hold the OFF + AUTO buttons on your climate control.

    Thanks for the info. I have a mid trim Ioniq 5 here in the UK and at the dealership I asked if the mirrors tilt when in reverse, the salesperson didn't know, so I put it in reverse with no change to the mirrors. I wondered why that simple software feature wasn't implemented on such a tech car. I will try to see if I can adjust the mirrors when in reverse and test if it changes between the drive modes on my trim level.

      @YoushaAhmad ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Side note, I recently left my car for about two and a half weeks here in the UK when going on holiday. I fully charged it before I left and the Auxillary battery was fine on my return, with temperature ranging between 1-17 degrees Celsius when I was absent.

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah ya real bummer I wish they had included it on all trim levels.

    • @Rhaman68
      @Rhaman68 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s more than software as motors, wiring, fuses are required. SE no tilt.

    • @YoushaAhmad
      @YoushaAhmad ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Rhaman68 It still has the motors inside for tilting already, it is just that you have to control that using the switch rather than it being automated from the gear selection. Though true about the wiring, perhaps lower spec trims like mine have the mirrors effectively as stand alone units and circuit boards that do not communicate with the car computer which would enable reverse mirror automation. It still wouldn't cost much more to implement and be quite useful for such a big car without the 360 cameras like my premium spec trim here in Britain (not the most premium in reality haha, but I am not complaining). I just keep my car set in-between perhaps a more normal mirror position and an ideal reverse position to get the best of both worlds without constantly adjusting.

      Yupp I have the ioniq 5 limited and gv60.
      Lectron ended up sending me their VBox48 for testing. This might match what you are looking for, super simple and no frills. They also have a slower version. I don't need the full speed 48amp charging typically so I turned it down to 40amps.

      Buying a charger for this car with all the bells and whistles isn’t necessary. The Hyundai app monitors most of the details anyway. The only thing some of the other chargers may do is the cost calculation for the energy consumed. If you know your kilowatt price the car tells you how much electricity it is used. For me simple is better and I don’t have to use another app. The Hyundai app is sufficient.

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You're welcome and that's not a silly question at all, many people wonder the same thing.
      Yes you can absolutely just leave the car running. Personally I like to save energy wherever I can so if I know the car won't be moving then I'd rather have the motors off completely which happens in utility mode.
      Also this is often used for camping as utility mode will keep the climate going as long as you want. Again just telling the car that we don't need power to the drive train systems.

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ya that would work for that use case. Or you can shut it off and use remote climate.
      I see it mostly useful for camping where maybe you are spending the night in the car with climate control on.
      Once the car is on, you don't need the keys present anymore for utility mode. You will need it to restart the car and get out of utility mode.

      Ah sorry to hear it's happening to you too Nick. I've been lucky with that so far, my main battery seems to be keeping the 12v charged as it was programmed to do.
      I just saw an owner say the radio was causing battery drain and their dealer is replacing it. Another person just needed a replacement fuse. Seems like there are quite a few different possibilities.

      @@MegaSn0wb0ardJunkie 4 weeks!! I’m having same issue and I’m on two weeks and they don’t seem to know what the problem is. I’ve never really seen a follow up to this issue except that they do a BMS update. There has got to be more to this. I can’t believe how difficult this is to diagnose. My Hyundai dealer seems very incapable of fixing this. I’ll update when they figure it out.

    Im confused about the point of utility mode. If i am in the car and just turn the car "on" (not accessory mode) and sit but not put it in park or drive am i not pulling power from the main battery?

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey Marc, if you sit with the car on then you'll continue to pull from the main battery and you'll have no issues there. But if you don't plan on moving for a while, you can shutoff the power train portion completely and save some energy by switching to utility mode.
      A lot of people think of it as camp mode since that seems to be the most common application for sustained used periods.

    Hey Victor -
    What’s your current software ? Is it still Gen5W Navigation ? With Version NEEV.USA.S5W_M.V008.001.220504? Mine was last updated on 8-1-2022 and I haven’t seen any OTA updates. Thanks

      Hey Peter, I'm running the same version as you. Mine updated 7-15-2022 via OTA. A lot of people never got this one OTA, there was an old update that was pulled and replaced with a newer one. I was one of the few that installed the old update before it got pulled.
      There's another new one out now that I believe is available on the website. I'm planning to wait for it to be pushed out via OTA.

    I have a question for everyone regarding the memory seat button. My wife has button one set for her and I have button two set for me. During setup the screen confirms that memory is set. Upon getting into the car, pressing either button beeps but does not move the seat. Using the profiles does set the proper seat and all else that should change via the memory button. Is this really the way this is designed or do we have a problem? 2023 Ioniq 5 AWD

      A lot of these are actually hard to find in the manual, you have to know the exact verbage the manufacturer decides to use.
      For example auto tilting mirrors is not called as such by Hyundai in the manual. Plus, it's 650 pages. Not everyone wants to go through all that.
