I went to see them live and I thought that was the greatest experience I ever had, still to this day that is the only live thing I have ever gone to. This show is what got me interested in animals to begin with, and since I got interested in animals I soon got interest in mythical creatures and that led to creepypasta, which led to horror games, so I can thank Wild Kratts for my obssession with creatures, cryptids, creepypastas, urban legends, and horror.

One of the reasons the Kratt brothers didn't mention zabu in that episode is because jovian, the lemur, died a couple years back (2014) before that episode aired. It was said in a pbs interview about zoboomafu and wild kratts.

Athena being so passionate about Martin being her favorite brother makes me feel so seen cuz he was also my favorite as a kid I always rooted for him and he’s probably the reason why kid me was so adamant about naming everything I owned
When I tell you I tried jumping and saying "What if?" so many times as a child in hopes of turning into a cartoon and when I didn't I was DEEPLY disappointed, I'm not joking it was legitimately the biggest letdown of my childhood. I felt lied to and betrayed.
1:38:41 So… who’s gonna tell Athena that she got her animals wrong? Me? Okay- That’s a Basset Hound, not a Blood Hound. Blood Hounds are tall and lanky, and normally are only brown and black. Meanwhile, Basset Hounds are short and stubby, along with the main breed (there are multiple versions) normally having a black, white, and brown coat. Yes, I used to have a Basset Hound. Could ya tell? Rest In Peace Arnold.
@@AthenaPOfficial To add to the OG comment, I'd argue that (in reference to 1:38:30), superhuman or not, Gourmand is still human (& thus, has far fewer olfactory receptors than a dog).
This was my hyperfixation show. I read Wild Kratts fanfic. I had Martin and Chris’s REAL LIFE BIRTHDAYS in my calendar, and called anything that we owned that was blue or green things like “Martin cups” or “Chris plates”. I was IN THE TRENCHES.
Genuinely one of the most wholesome shows from the latter half of my childhood. You should do cyberchase next. It’s about the same length and was even more of my childhood as a stem student
Fun fact: I actually have an TF2 x Wild Kratts crossover fanfic on ao3 and if you want to see it I have it on community posts and can be recognized with the ⭐️ emoji
FINALLY ANOTHER MARTIN FAN. He is the best, no other words needed. I vaguely remember watching Wild Kratts air almost for the first time, I remember watching Mom of a Croc on TV. It must have been one of the first airings, since I was pretty young at the time and it was 13 years ago. Looking back on it, it's wild to think that I actually watched the debut of one of my all-time favorite kids shows. Also, them being actual brother 110% contributes to the "green vs blue/which brother is better" category of arguments. They took the Looney Tunes physics and *ran*. Personal headcanon that the boss is whoever currently has The Braincell a la ATLA's Katara and Sokka. The Tortuga being equipped with what I assume to be an EMP blaster in its mouth was awesome. And I'm glad for the levity of Paisley having none of the other villain's shit. It's perfect.
I actually met the Kratt brothers as a kid. I watched the show all the time and loved it. Ended up going to an out of state college for wildlife veterinary medicine because of my love of animals and this show definitely had a huge part of it
If you're going to play the Wild Kratts games, you should try and play the ones made during the flash era. They were awesome because you got to create your character, and each game you complete gave you a power disc. You'd used them in a kind of side scrolling open world where you got to explore different environments, with the powers helping you progress further. If you didn't have the firefly, you couldn't get into the cave in the forest level, and the ocean level was basically inaccessible if you didn't have the Remora. The goal was to get every secret photo op with the different animals your suits are based on, like finding the right tree with the gliding lizard. They were awesome, and I know flashpoint has some of the games on it.
I’m obviously going to ravenously digest this entire video, but I so seriously IMMEDIATELY liked the video for the powerful statement: “I grew up on zoboomafoo.” I’ve never felt so seen in such a short amount of time 😂. Thank you Athena for this much needed serotonin, you are a treasure.
My theory on zack. During science camp, he developed a crush on Eviva. So he tried to be friends with here, and he confessed his love to her near the end of camp. Put of my Zack being a nepobaby psychopath. He gets rejected, and from then on, Zack has forever been Eviva’s biggest op
0:12 And that is the third time Athena has made fun of something her sister grew up with and refused to watch only to be proven incredibly wrong years later.
I love the Zakbots so much. They're like a hivemind of robotic Amelia Bedelias. This show sparked my love for animals, transformation, and mechs. (and animation, too, but there were a lot of animated things I was watching.)
i love how this lore video in particular fells less like an actual lore video and more like an unhinged rant about why you love this show complete with multiple tangents and gushing, peak youtube content
(Zoboomafoo! With the Kratt Brothers!) [Verse 1] While walking in the woods one day Chris and Martin saw something strange A little leaping lemur who liked to bounce any play They followed their new bouncing friend Not knowing where this adventure would end The animals were heading just around the bend [Martin talking] Where they going? [Sung] I don't know? [Chris taking] How do we get there? [Sung] Come on, let's go! [Chorus] Me, and you, and Zoboomafoo! Come along and see what's new! We're doing the things that animals do! New animal friends to see Animal Junction's the place to be! [Verse 2] Elephants charging, baboons are leaping! Wild dogs running, and nobody's sleeping! [Chorus] Me, and you, and Zoboomafoo! Come along, and see what's new! We're doing the things that animals do! Me, and you, and Zoboomafoo! Come along and see what's new! At Animal Junction we're waiting for you!
When I first heard they made a cartoon of the Wild Kratts, I was just worried they were gonna dumb it down and make it a "but all animals are freinds 🥰 Hi Mr Lion, have you seen Miss Antelope today? Mrs Monkey is having a picnic and we're all invited!" type of show. So when I finally watched it while babysitting, it was a sloth episode that didn't shy away from how sloths are just filthy animals, it showed the sloths pooping, and then ended with a jaguar and crocodile fighting to the death- and it was so refreshing to see a children's cartoon have that true depiction of life.
Thank you so much for spending such time and care about this series! I grew up with Zaboo too, but as soon as I heard of Wild Kratts I was enthralled. I love the Kratt Brothers and all their shows are fire. Wild Kratts introduced me to all kinds of species like draco lizards and all kinds of other animal facts. This show was crack for a neurodivergent teen who LOVED weird animal facts. also Martin has always been my favorite
This makes me feel old but they had this amazing game where you could make your own character and go on adventure to get the animal disks and use diffrent disks to try and get through the diffrent levels
Wow. After almost a year of you mentioning that you might do this lore someday, we finally got it. And it's a beautiful movie length video going over my FAVORITE show when I was a kid!! Seriously, me and my friends had those suits and would play daily outside in them ^^ Thank you so much for covering this, as along time Wild Kratts fan I can't express how much I enjoyed every second of this video (Even tho it was tough for me as an unfortunate Jimmy fan, the W ending for Jimmy left me happy :DD) Hope you had in the wild wild world of Wild Kratts and I'm hyped for the Christmas videos!!!! Also in Jimmy's defense, there are a lot of info abt him I wanted to bring up; -he's not only the main teleporter guy in Tortuga but also the main pilot as he does have a certified pilot license an is a pretty skilled pilot (except for that one time he almost killed all those fish, but that's more of hm being smug and a dumbass in the moment) -his joystick and how much that thing matters to him (well he is a game programmer so yknow makes sense) -he was able to bake brownies and make other food so he is skilled in cooking -him being a game programmer means he has some knowledge of programming as he also helped Aviva and Koki build the Worm vehicle -he's also always used for testing out different equipment with Aviva and being used as a lab rat -he also tried to help Chris with his fear of climbing by showing him his game, it backfired tho I just wish they made him more of a chill pilot guy to balance out the goofiness of the brothers
“We hear him talk about how much he wants to be a video game developer” Oh…oh he’s just like me fr… (Maybe Jimmy canonically made the Wild Kratts flash game-)
As a biologist, zoboomafoo was my first real foray into science and the natural world. This show does an even better job of explaining nature. I'm glad the next generation of scientists will have this to enchant them towards these fields
YESSSS ITS HERE LETS GO THANK YOU ATHENA This is one of my favourite shows as a kid and got back into it recently cause this video, the wait was worth it as i got to rewatch a bunch of the show with my dad Thank you for letting me relieve some of the good parts of my childhood The brothers are absolute goofballs and i love them so much
When I was 5, we didn’t have clocks in our house but I knew when Zoboomafoo was about to start every day based on the sun’s position, so I tuned in right on the dot. It was my favorite show and I’d do anything to watch it every day. 20 years later, waiting for this Athena P video was kinda like that, patiently waiting until the right moment to see the Kratt brothers on my screen ❤️
I’ve been waiting for this video for so long 😭 I’ve watched and adored both Kratt brothers’ shows growing up, and I can’t believe it’s still airing to this day (also comment for the algorithm lol)
I would believe it to some extent cause well Zach is the 1%, Vinita is a fashion designer and probably has Zach on her side, and Gormond... well I don't think money is keeping him out of prison, more so he's probably a criminal that's pretty infamous and homie knows how to evade the law.
"That's why I'm gonna name you Thornsly," Martin despondently remarked, pitying the poor elephant baby for the pain it must be in. Edit: NODADSLY I'M DYING
1:30:28 One idea I had since I was a young lad was somebody who loved animals a bit TOO much to the point where he tried to capture and keep them all as pets but since they're wild animals he would unintentionally be hurting them and the Kratts had to stop him while reaffirming the idea that these animals are best kept in the wild while telling him animals that he CAN keep while also giving advice on some of the more exotic choices for him to keep. I dunno I just thought that was an interesting idea. I could imagine a touching redemption for him if he were in the show.
YES!!! I was waiting patiently! Athena cooked and delivered 2 days before my 20th birthday!!! I grew up with this show and it's been an amazing child show that I honestly needed to catch up with thank you Athena!!! 🖤 happy holidays!
Personally I've always been a Martin girly so I'm on your team completely, also for the Paisley Paver redemption I liked it a lot because here's the thing: In Blue and Green world, when team Kratt gives the usual spiel about why animals and nature are important, the regular villains say "I don't care" while Paisley says "I don't understand", this distinction is important at it leads to the demonstration on the Tortuga. She's a visual learner. Being told isn't enough, she needs to visually understand what would happen to the world if pollution took over and the kind of architectural marvels that exist naturally, so I personally think it's done well!
This show is peak. Whenever I go to my grandmother's house, I will straight up binge this show. It has so much charm and fun packed into it, I just love it.
This comment has *several* fun facts about *birds;* you have been *warned.* GOD- I Actually, really love this show- loved it when I was a kid, still do- even though I don't, like, actively watch it anymore. The absolute biggest shame though is that these new Wild Kratt games have NOTHING on the old ones, (or maybe it's bias..? Nah, couldn't be.) but I **MISS** the Cheeta Race game so BADLY BRO. Good news is that the old Wild Kratt Games are still playable with Flashpoint, just not on the Web anymore, cause, ya'know, Flash no longer exists. But man, "Go Cheeta Go!", "Ride on, Remora!", "Caracal Leap!", "Firefly Flash!", "Glide Draco Glide!", "Go Nuts!", "Kickboxing Kangaroo!"- Were my *JAM.* Are these ringing a bell for anyone else? Or am I all alone in this world, left a slave to forgotten memories, eternally their keeper lest they fall even from obscurity and into the realm of whispers? Caught forever between the Void, ever to stare back, and Limbo, never to know if time has crept on without me? Or maybe I'm just a little intense about animal facts. speAKING OF! Did you know that among birds in the Ratite Family, meaning (simplified) flightless birds that lay big eggs, That Ostriches, which can run at recorded speeds of 43mph (though potentially more.) only lay the Biggest Eggs of living birds? The Extinct Elephant Bird- which was native to Madagascar, and as tall as some Giraffes- actually laid an egg that was on average, 7 times larger than the Ostrich Egg! Other Ratites include Emus and Cassowaries, which both lay beautiful large eggs- The Emu's being blue, and the Cassowary's being green! Also- The Emu won a war with Australia (one reason being) because they have very small organs which made them generally very hard to shoot. And Cassowaries can hear your heartbeat, have locking 5-inch Talons, and are strong enough to pierce your ribcage! But the most terrifying fact of all is that... The New Zealand Kiwi, gets to go to that family reunion! Look up "Kiwi Egg," those poor birds. Oh, and also that nearly every Ratite Bird-Call sounds like a screeching demon chant from hell- seriously- but that's neither here nor there! Final Speed Round!- 1] Dodo's aren't Ratites, despite their inability to fly and their larger than average estimated egg size, Dodo's are actually more closely related to pigeons! Their Closest living relatives being the Nicobar Pigeon, and Victoria Crowned Pigeon! (beautiful birds, btw.) 2] The Elephant Bird from Madagascar was the "Largest" extinct ratite, and bird, to ever exist. On average being close to 10ft tall, and some weighing more than 2,000lbs! (more than some cars!) However, the **Tallest** Ratite, and bird, to ever exist was actually the Southern Giant New Zealand Moa! Which despite only weighing around 500lbs, could actually grow over 12ft tall! That is, on average, almost 7ft taller than a human person! 3] And Finally! The Closest living relative of the Extinct Madagascar Elephant Bird- which weighed more than some cars, and was as tall as some giraffes- is **drumroll** The New Zealand Kiwi! Despite the Southern Giant Moa being the extinct ratite from New Zealand, their closest living relatives are Tinamou, which seem closer in appearance to pheasants, quail, or ground doves, and are found in ranges from Mexico to Argentina. They also lay the largest variety of egg colors, which themselves are a respectable size, and have a naturally glassy appearance. And also are the **ONLY** Ratites which have managed (however slight) to regain flight. Tinamou also are also the only Ratites that don't sound like creatures from the darkside of the moon, which **I** theorize to be because they renounced the demonic pact made by their ancestors, and in doing so regained their ability to fly, as they we're once angels who had fallen from heaven. Coincidentally, Bats can fly because they are yet the only mammals to have achieved enlightenment, and obtained for themselves divinity through hardship. I'm getting offtrack, lol. tldr; *BIRDS.*
My theory is that the Wild Keats are funded by an animal loving tech firm, who uses them as not only animal rescuers, researchers and educators, but as their equipment research and development and field testers. My head cannon is that the head of this tech firm knew and mentored Jimmy and agreed to set aside a portion of his paychecks to go to video game developer college, in exchange for Jimmy being the Tortuga’s pilot and teleporter, as a way for him to travel, learn and mature as a person.
Wild Kratts has always been in my top ten of kids cartoons it’s has so many cool story lines and creature power suits . My favorite episodes have to be Mini in Madagascar , mystery of the Squirmy Wormy, Tazzy Chris & Cheetah Racer. The bros animated and Live action are just so enthusiastic even as an adult hearing all the fun animal facts and jokes is really entertaining. Zoboomafoo is such a fever dream really enjoyed that they made the snack machine look so appealing I even tried to make one as a kid. One of the scene I remember the most is when they actually shrunk in live action and exploring Praying Mantis’ and almost get stepped 😂. Thanks for this lore video can’t wait to see the next one when the next few seasons of Wild kratts come out. The Wild Keats games were so fun adjusting the Cheetah racer for races and collecting and making your own creature power suits and saving animals I hope they bring it back haven’t seen it on the website in a minute
Man, I know I would've LOVED this show as a kid as someone who was (and still is) a huge animal nerd. Your channel in general has taught me (a nickelodeon baby) about the genuine passion and creativity that goes into PBS shows, so thanks!!!

When I tell you I tried jumping and saying "What if?" so many times as a child in hopes of turning into a cartoon and when I didn't I was DEEPLY disappointed, I'm not joking it was legitimately the biggest letdown of my childhood. I felt lied to and betrayed.
"you got that right, im glasses brother" made me choke on my water why was that so funny
Finally…Athena P is covering a show as unhinged as her content (not to mention, one of my faves)
I thought jimmy was the driver. He's the only one who drives their ship, i think.
Yeah, it's stated throughout the show that he's their pilot and no one else can drive. More specifically, this is mentioned in the "skunked" episode.
Finally the best Lore to ever be shown.
1:38:41
So… who’s gonna tell Athena that she got her animals wrong?
Me? Okay-
That’s a Basset Hound, not a Blood Hound.
Interesting.
Thank you to Arnold I will never forget this breed again for him 💕💕
Don't worry, I corrected 1 of her animal IDs in another comment ;)
@@AthenaPOfficial To add to the OG comment, I'd argue that (in reference to 1:38:30), superhuman or not, Gourmand is still human (& thus, has far fewer olfactory receptors than a dog).
This was my hyperfixation show. I read Wild Kratts fanfic. I had Martin and Chris’s REAL LIFE BIRTHDAYS in my calendar, and called anything that we owned that was blue or green things like “Martin cups” or “Chris plates”. I was IN THE TRENCHES.
That’s really sweet :) Trust me, when you get into a show, you are INTO it.
Genuinely one of the most wholesome shows from the latter half of my childhood. You should do cyberchase next. It’s about the same length and was even more of my childhood as a stem student
TF2’s seventh comic and Athena P’s wild kratts video in the same day.
Christmas has come early, folks
It's a bloody Austrailian Christmas Miracle
Fun fact: I actually have an TF2 x Wild Kratts crossover fanfic on ao3 and if you want to see it I have it on community posts and can be recognized with the ⭐️ emoji
THIS IS HOW I FIBD OUT???????? Holy shitttt
wait WHAT THE FUKKKK
1:06:22
Someone mentioned on tumblr once that Zach and Donita were the human forms of Vox and Velvet from Hazbin Hotel and I can’t unsee it
She should do Cyberchase 😂
OMG YES.
I second this!!
I THIRD THIS!!!!!!
YES, A THOUSAND TIMES YES.
Please please please please
5:41 when she pulled out that dang dragonfly from Miss Sunny freaking patch I was freaking dying, bro that was hilarious😅😂😂😂😂😂
One of my favorite episodes as well Athena popped off there as well as here
I actually met the Kratt brothers as a kid. I watched the show all the time and loved it. Ended up going to an out of state college for wildlife veterinary medicine because of my love of animals and this show definitely had a huge part of it
What was it like?
@gracebowling4083 I was actually a toddler so I don't remember anymore but my parents say I was super excited and loved it
If you're going to play the Wild Kratts games, you should try and play the ones made during the flash era.
Looking briefly at the fandom wiki, the games that are missing are as follows, Dolphin dive, Flower Flier, Habitat rescue, and some puzzle stuff
15:28 I’m sorry I’m obsessed with your cat just blipping out of existence 😭
This was a blast, man, I’m elated it’s finally out!! Fantastic work ^^
That's absolutely hilarious! 😂
I GENUINELY thought I was tripping
My theory on zack. During science camp, he developed a crush on Eviva. So he tried to be friends with here, and he confessed his love to her near the end of camp. Put of my Zack being a nepobaby psychopath. He gets rejected, and from then on, Zack has forever been Eviva’s biggest op
Ah so he began an Incel? Bummer
Now it’s a perfect time to cover more Odd Squad lore as they did a crossover that one time for like a full minute
Bro this was one of the best shows on PBS kids and one of the educational shows I would watch before and after school. Really goated show.
I remember watching the live action show as a was younger kid, but the animated Wild Kratts absolutely got me hooked as I got older.
i love how this lore video in particular fells less like an actual lore video and more like an unhinged rant about why you love this show complete with multiple tangents and gushing, peak youtube content
(Zoboomafoo! With the Kratt Brothers!)
[Verse 1]
While walking in the woods one day
Chris and Martin saw something strange
A little leaping lemur who liked to bounce any play
They followed their new bouncing friend
Not knowing where this adventure would end
The animals were heading just around the bend
[Martin talking]
Where they going?
[Sung]
I don't know?
[Chris taking]
How do we get there?
[Sung]
Come on, let's go!
[Chorus]
Me, and you, and Zoboomafoo!
Come along and see what's new!
We're doing the things that animals do!
New animal friends to see
Animal Junction's the place to be!
[Verse 2]
Elephants charging, baboons are leaping!
Wild dogs running, and nobody's sleeping!
[Chorus]
Me, and you, and Zoboomafoo!
I have been waiting for this video since I found your channel, thank you for letting me revisit my childhood in the most chaotic way possible.
When this didn’t start with Polar Bears Don’t Dance I was astounded
0:46 the most reasonable and calm reaction
Thank you so much for spending such time and care about this series! I grew up with Zaboo too, but as soon as I heard of Wild Kratts I was enthralled. I love the Kratt Brothers and all their shows are fire. Wild Kratts introduced me to all kinds of species like draco lizards and all kinds of other animal facts. This show was crack for a neurodivergent teen who LOVED weird animal facts.
also Martin has always been my favorite
So excited to see this! Thanks for having me on board for this one. It was a ton of fun!
You might say it was a WILD time hehehehehehehehe
You have no idea how happy i am to meet another Martin girlie. like biiiish, i'm gigglin and kicking my feet too
PEAK HAS ARRIVED!!!!
In germany the show is called "Go Wild, mission wilderness", with the "go wild" being a reference to what the audience did while seeing it
OMG THESE GUYS WERE MY ENTIRE CHILDHOOD 😢 ! me and my cousin used to binge it every day . (I still love this silly show !)
Same this and odd squad were my FAVORITE
@MelissaNicholson-x5i Omg same I still watch odd squad 😭
This makes me feel old but they had this amazing game where you could make your own character and go on adventure to get the animal disks and use diffrent disks to try and get through the diffrent levels
I remember that!
Also in Jimmy's defense, there are a lot of info abt him I wanted to bring up;
-he's not only the main teleporter guy in Tortuga but also the main pilot as he does have a certified pilot license an is a pretty skilled pilot (except for that one time he almost killed all those fish, but that's more of hm being smug and a dumbass in the moment)
-his joystick and how much that thing matters to him (well he is a game programmer so yknow makes sense)
-he was able to bake brownies and make other food so he is skilled in cooking
-him being a game programmer means he has some knowledge of programming as he also helped Aviva and Koki build the Worm vehicle
-he's also always used for testing out different equipment with Aviva and being used as a lab rat
-he also tried to help Chris with his fear of climbing by showing him his game, it backfired tho
I just wish they made him more of a chill pilot guy to balance out the goofiness of the brothers
“We hear him talk about how much he wants to be a video game developer”
Oh…oh he’s just like me fr…
(Maybe Jimmy canonically made the Wild Kratts flash game-)
The Octonauts was my personal favourite when I was younger but this was definitely my second (can you tell I love biology?)
As a biologist, zoboomafoo was my first real foray into science and the natural world. This show does an even better job of explaining nature. I'm glad the next generation of scientists will have this to enchant them towards these fields
THE WAY I AUDIBLY GASPED
The Kratt brothers are the reason my favorite animal is the Sifaka lemur. This video is amazing, and thank you for making it.
YESSSS ITS HERE LETS GO THANK YOU ATHENA
This is one of my favourite shows as a kid and got back into it recently cause this video, the wait was worth it as i got to rewatch a bunch of the show with my dad Thank you for letting me relieve some of the good parts of my childhood
The brothers are absolute goofballs and i love them so much
When I was 5, we didn’t have clocks in our house but I knew when Zoboomafoo was about to start every day based on the sun’s position, so I tuned in right on the dot. It was my favorite show and I’d do anything to watch it every day. 20 years later, waiting for this Athena P video was kinda like that, patiently waiting until the right moment to see the Kratt brothers on my screen ❤️
Im happy to say i was the one excited to watch wild Kratts with my siblings
I loved showing them zoboomafoo ♡
An episode about my favorite childhood show that also has a reference to bistro huddy?
This is the best christmas gift i could ask for!
I feel like you would have an absolute blast with Carmen Sandiego
Honestly I'm kinda disappointed this video isn't longer, I could tell you genuinely like the show
I’ve been waiting for this video for so long 😭 I’ve watched and adored both Kratt brothers’ shows growing up, and I can’t believe it’s still airing to this day (also comment for the algorithm lol)
54:28
I'd actually buy seahorse (shaped) earrings. That actually sounds fun.
watching wild kratts at the end of a long school day was the highlight of my younger days haha
Theory! The villains always get out of jail because money, and the kratt bros know this at this point so they don't bother.
I would believe it to some extent cause well Zach is the 1%, Vinita is a fashion designer and probably has Zach on her side, and Gormond... well I don't think money is keeping him out of prison, more so he's probably a criminal that's pretty infamous and homie knows how to evade the law.
HOLY CRAP I REMEMBER WILD KRATS!
It more or less sparked my LOVE of animals!
"That's why I'm gonna name you Thornsly," Martin despondently remarked, pitying the poor elephant baby for the pain it must be in.
Edit: NODADSLY I'M DYING
Jordan Fringe put up a Wild Kratts video yesterday, crazy timing.
For months now we have waited! Our patience has finally been rewarded!
Omg 31:35 is a mortifying realization that that can actually happen
Ooh ooh ooh. Does anyone remember the electric company from like 10 years ago. Because that would make a fantastic lore video!!!
I used to love that show. Plus nearly all of the cast went on to so many amazing careers. One of them was a lead on the good place.
YES ITS SO GOOD TO FINALLY HAVE THIS
“After looking for Mexico for four months”
1:30:28 One idea I had since I was a young lad was somebody who loved animals a bit TOO much to the point where he tried to capture and keep them all as pets but since they're wild animals he would unintentionally be hurting them and the Kratts had to stop him while reaffirming the idea that these animals are best kept in the wild while telling him animals that he CAN keep while also giving advice on some of the more exotic choices for him to keep. I dunno I just thought that was an interesting idea. I could imagine a touching redemption for him if he were in the show.
I'M A MARTIN GIRLIE COME AFTER ME CHRIS STANS 💅
This is a joke pls don't take this seriously 💀
YES!!! I was waiting patiently! Athena cooked and delivered 2 days before my 20th birthday!!! I grew up with this show and it's been an amazing child show that I honestly needed to catch up with thank you Athena!!! 🖤 happy holidays!
45:26 "hello little Luigi!"
"Hello Mario"
The dodo tattoo is amazing. I love seeing them get appreciated. They are the best birds.
I have long awaited this day, this show was my favorite as a child
This comment has *several* fun facts about *birds;* you have been *warned.*
GOD- I Actually, really love this show- loved it when I was a kid, still do- even though I don't, like, actively watch it anymore.
Final Speed Round!-
1] Dodo's aren't Ratites, despite their inability to fly and their larger than average estimated egg size, Dodo's are actually more closely related to pigeons! Their Closest living relatives being the Nicobar Pigeon, and Victoria Crowned Pigeon! (beautiful birds, btw.)
2] The Elephant Bird from Madagascar was the "Largest" extinct ratite, and bird, to ever exist.
2000lbs? Damn.. Call that f*cker "Big Bird." 😂
Wild kratts is the main reason I grew up such an animal obsessed nerd- strictly animal but I used to write animal essays for fun.
Oh god imagine a Arthur lore video. That be around 3 hours
1:10 there's a cat
its like "who are you talking to"
KITTYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY 🤭🤗🥰😊😍😲☺️
The episode that surprised me the most was the king cobra one where they not only killed an animal but one that they met the same episode
i cant explain it but the episode with the evil fashion lady mind controling martin and putting him in a gecko suit *AWAKENED* something within me
The Wild Kratts to Pokémon pipeline is so real, so many of my Fakemon are direct results of knowledge accumulating from Wild Kratts
HOW DARE TH-cam HIDE THIS FROM ME FOR 34 SECONDS
Man, I know I would've LOVED this show as a kid as someone who was (and still is) a huge animal nerd. Your channel in general has taught me (a nickelodeon baby) about the genuine passion and creativity that goes into PBS shows, so thanks!!!
i know the whole show isnt about shipping, and i FULLY know that martin is a married man with two children...but aviva and ANIMATED martin are lowkey kind of cute together
19:45
Honestly, I was surprised chris is the more popular brother of the two
