Antifreeze is deadly to dogs but they love it for the sweet taste. When you have a dog or dogs on the property always clean it up real quick, as you never can know when your furry four footed friend will get out of the house or yard and wander into the shop. A hard lesson taught to me by a family member whose dog was accidentally poisoned in his auto repair shop. (Friendly Comment, not snark or nuth'n like that)

That’s gonna be an awesome truck! Nathan has good taste! If It were mine I would highly consider doing a ‘05+ coil spring conversion up front instead of upgrading the leafs. (If I understood your plans correctly) It’s a night and day difference IMO. Now I understand that means purchasing an ‘05+ Axle but it’s so worth it in my experience.

I agree. Coils all the way.

You boys gotta remember that his son is funding this project himself, I sure couldn’t afford a super duty swap at 14 years old. Also, this will be a long term truck, so there always time in the future for upgrades.

I also agree, if you’ve ever drove one coils are the way to go. @@atrieben if he’s buying the complete kit the SuperDuty leaf spring swap kit from Sky’s it’s $1569 alone with out the leaf springs where their coil spring kit is $1929, A coil front could probably be done for close to the same amount of money if the parts/kits are shopped around for, there’s many companies out their that make kits. I couldn’t justify spending over $1569+ and keeping it leafs but that’s just me. All personal preference but if you’re going this far with the truck it may be worth saving up the little bit more even if that means waiting a little bit longer. Heck he could sell that all the parts he’s not using off the donor and make up the difference. Not many 14 year old kids have the ability to purchase a truck like that to begin with. He’s obviously hard working and smart with his money, it may be smarter money to go coil for the possible minimal extra expense. Again personal preference.
